Tommy

To say that Tommy is furious would be an understatement. Seeing you crying at the table, completely broken, made his blood boil. With a swift kiss to your forehead, and leaving you in the capable hands of Aunt Poll, Tommy gathered together the rest of the Peaky Blinders, along with your other brothers, and stormed their way to your boyfriends house, where they made him wish that he was never born.

Tommy smiled lightly as he seen your sleeping form when he arrived back. Aunt Poll put a finger to her lips before he slowly walked over, brushing a stray strand of hair out of your face. “Everything’s taken care of now, Y/N. He’s never going to hurt you again.”

Arthur

“Why the fuck did you do it! I want an answer!” You stood across the room from your now ex boyfriend, chest heaving with anger. Your boyfriend just stared at the floor and shrugged. “Just felt like it...” Your face turned an angry red, steam literally coming out of your ears. In a fit of rage, you picked up the nearest object and threw it at his head, narrowly missing him.

“Are you mad?! That nearly hit me!” “That was the fucking point!” At that moment the front door opened and in stepped Arthur, looking puzzled at the scene before him. Whereas, you actually heard your ex gulp as he realized exactly what was going to happen. “What the fuck is going on here?!” Arthur looked at you for an answer but your angry gaze was still on your ex. “Him. He cheated on me with that slut down the road. He said that he just felt like it, not giving two shits about me!”

Arthur’s eyes darkened as he pulled out his gun, aiming it at your ex’s head, and shot him dead between the eyes. “That’s what happens when you mess with the Peaky fuckin’ Blinders.”

John

John walked up to your bedroom door and went to open it but stopped in his tracks when he heard muffled sobs coming from inside. “Y/N, sweetheart, can I come in?” Hearing a muffled reply, he opened the door and made his way to your side, picking you up and cradling you. “What’s the matter?” “He-he cheated on me. Said I was no good, said I wasn’t worth anything, that he found someone better.”

You began sobbing again and it broke John’s heart hearing his little sister cry. He kissed the top of your head and lay you back down gently, secretly seething with anger. “Please don’t leave me.” “I’m coming right back, I just need to teach him a lesson. Nobody makes my sister cry, not without consequences.”

#2 I’m not too sure on my third favourite character, but I know for certain my top two favourites. Subaru’s my favourite, Ivan’s my second favourite, and I think my third favourite’s Keith!

Subaru’s my favourite character specifically because of the English dubbed. When I watched it in Japanese I still really liked him, but I liked how much more sassy, and hilarious he was in English. I think I liked him so much after watching the English version because of how talented his VA is, I really do think he did a fantastic job. I also think his wild emotionality and strong desire to do anything to help others was a factor. I like Origami so much specially because of early season one. I thought it was really funny seeing him sneak around in the background when it was in no way necessary. Ivan’s also a character that gets along with all the heroes, like we don’t really see him have any issues with the others. Sure he argues with Antonio in the one episode (he has a good reason) but it’s resolved in the same episode. It didn’t take him time to be nice to people he just was, unlike characters such as Subaru and Thomas who had issues with each other for a considerable amount of time in season 2 or early season one Barnaby and Kotetsu when they kept telling their employers that they couldn’t work together. Ivan’s just sweet and I really like his power as well. I like Keith because of how caring he is. He’s the definition of a golden retriever character, he’s the kindest character in the show. Also he named his dogs John and JohnJohn, that’s fantastic! I also think about the FireSky episode a lot and that’s probably part of the reason why I like him so much. He was so sweet to Nathan, he took time off work to think about how to be a better partner and make Nathan feel less exhausted. His opening line to that conversation was hilarious but it was honestly the cutest and most genuine showing of how much they care about each other. Anyway he’s just such a sweet character and I really like him. Sorry if I’m not very good at explaining things!

#8 I like pretty much all ships of Buddy heroes except for OrigamiRock just because I see them as brothers, (no hate to anyone that does! I just personally don’t ship them) but I specifically like Taibani (Kotetsu x Barnaby), Mr. Thomas (Thomas x Subaru), and FireSky (Keith x Nathan).

I like Taibani because of how much Kotetsu cares for Barnaby and vice versa, the whole “you have pretty long eyelashes” scene, Barnaby being convinced Kotetsu can do no wrong, how Barnaby was able to open up to Kotetsu, Barnaby learning how to cook fried rice because it’s Kotetsu’s favourite dish, etc. I like Mr. Thomas because they remind me of season one Taibani, and I find it funny that Thomas actually wanted to be Subaru’s partner (shown in the official comic) and then Subaru said he didn’t know if Thomas was good enough to be his partner and all they were gonna be was business partners, and then from that point on Thomas was bitchy to him. And I ship FireSky because they’re just genuinely so sweet to each other and they’re so cute. Nathan saying that Keith is completely perfect, them going on runs together, cooking together, calling each other, etc. I also thought their episode was the cutest thing to ever exist.

#12 Season 2 Ouroboros, like with the twins Fugan and Mugan.

I really really love the twins, they’re my favourite villains. I think their backstory was really interesting, and really sad actually. That one scene where it was a flashback to Fugan and Mugan lying in bed and talking about how they think the reason the old man’s getting them to kill heroes is because Ouroboros is making him, hurts me. Especially since the flashback happens when Fugan has multiple broken bones and still wants to continue fighting because him and his brother both don’t want the boss to get mad at the old man. They love their dad so much and their dad love them so much. They make me so sad.

Besides the obvious two (Kotetsu and Barnaby), my top three are going to be a quite unorthodox. It’d be Keith (Sky High),) Agnes and Lara (Magical Cat) for me. (Might change if I rewatch the entire show again for the onteenth time, I’m still new to T&B haha)

OH MY LORD. This man is literally a precious soul, LIKE HE’S A DOG LOVER AND HAD A GOLDEN RETRIEVER??? SOLD. Also I find it cute and funny that he named his dogs John and JohnJohn. Dude has no naming sense whatsoever.

AGNES JOUBERT

I’m like the only Agnes fan on this site because man, she’s so fun. Like yeah, she’s a supporting character, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy her. She’s literally the producer of HeroTV and knows how to put up a good show. I enjoyed the times she got involved in the plot, kinda wish we got to see her do more. But anyhow, she’s literally a joy to watch.

LARA TCHAIKOSKAYA/MAGICAL CAT

Surprised a S2 character made it to this list but here’s the thing, I fucking love superheroes. But magical girls will always be my first love. So of course the cat-themed magical girl had to creep up on my list. Listen, T&B2 had it’s issues. But I did enjoyed Magical Cat’s arc with her mother and her dynamic with Dragon Kid. Her design is so cute by the way and I love her wand! Probably the only one I genuinely like out of all of the entire rookie trio (sorry Thomas and Subaru)

I also find it funny that water is her main ability when cats are known to dislike water.

9. “Favourite buddy duo?”

GOLDEN ROSE (Karina Lyle/Blue Rose + Ryan Goldsmith/Golden Ryan)

THESE ANNOYING BLONDES (affectionate), again besides from the obvious two. While they’re not my top favorites, their dynamic together is so mesmerizing. Ryan overall wowed me because I didn’t liked him really at first but he managed to be pretty cool once I got to T&B2. I like how they balance out from each other personality-wise. Also Ryan is pretty much the annoying older brother Karina wished she never had, its hilarious. Besides Golden Rose, Sky Emblem and Dragon Cat are another favorite duos of mine.

11. “Any characters you think could have been good friends if they had been given a chance?”

Maaaybe Lara and Kaede? They’re around the same age, I don’t see why they can’t be friends.

20. “What language(s) have you watched it in?”

I watched in Japanese first, then Spanish. Why Spanish though?? Here’s the thing, I’m Hispanic and literally was raised in a Dominican household. I did this for experimental purposes and also because I am trying to further my understanding in the language since I am taking Spanish classes at my school for my senior year. It was really good by the way, favorite voices had to be Kotetsu and Agnes (her’s was pretty close to her Japanese VA)

I might watch the English dub eventually.

As per our convo in the comments, here’s my interpretation!

My interpretation comes from just whatever I've come to hear (or consider a possibility for more undetermined parts) after spending hours upon hours listening to this song. I've gone as far as to make it a local file on spotify so i can use all my typical methods for memorizing lyrics i've come to use over the years (like repeat listening, casual listening among other songs, and casual listening among other songs while i sleep because i like to sleep with music which i have found to be strangely helpful in memorizing the lyrics of any given song!) for parts that remain unclear or uncertain to me even with my obsessive listening I've marked them [like this]. I’ve also colour coded their lines with Paul’s being orange and John’s being blue just cuz that helps me personally. Parts from them both or that are too muddied for me to be able to tell are purple.

As per parts where they are singing over each other I will admit I get a touch jumbled because I have trouble picking apart voices from one another when spoken at the same time, but that's just always been a me thing, so apologies if that seems a bit disorganized.

Also the part where they repeat different vocalizations of “hey!” over and over is definitely not perfect because I have yet to take the time to count and grammatically emphasize the inflections of each word lol. Anyways, on to the actual point of it!

Lyrics to the Silver Beatles' 1960 demo Johnny Johnny (I Don't Know)

So over the past couple of months I've spent round 16-20 hours working on transcribing the aforementioned 1960 Silver Beatles demo and I'm posting the results of that work.

This demo is interesting and the lyrics are very revealing, as they appear to be about John and Paul running away together, for all that implies.

There are a couple of things to note beforehand. One being that while I personally believe this is the most accurate transcription that exists, I still likely made mistakes. So the words that I wasn't entirely sure about are in bold. Also some of the lyrics don't make sense grammatically, and while in some cases that might be a product of my mishearing, it more likely has to do with the half-finished nature of the song.
