Joel Hoekstra's 13 "Crash of Life"

S'havia de sentir el nou treball del guitarrista de Whitesnake, que sorprèn pel seu line-up: Tony Franklin al baix, Vinny Appice a la bateria, Derek Sherinian als teclats i Jeff Scott Soto als cors recolzant al cantant Girish Pradhan (el més desconegut de la banda).

Trobo que aquest àlbum, respecte l'anterior, no és tan hard-rock a l'ús si no que resulta més melòdic, tot i que continua mantenint uns bons riffs potents de guitarra amb una molt bona producció. Són precisament, alguns passatges i tornades més "comercials" que fan que no despunti i haguem d'entonar un: nah! Però a mida que el sentim, ens agrada més, sobretot perquè els temes en el track-list van de menys a més. La proba la tenim en l'esboijarrat "I Would Cry For Love" (amb un pont molt a-la Rainbow), el roquer "Don't Have Words" (amb uns riffs AC/DC 3.0) o el rodó "You're Right For Me" (amb molta influència Free i Whitesnake dels 80).

Girish (de Girish and the Chronicles) compleix amb escreix la seva tasca, tot i que no resulta gens fàcil substituir a Russell Allen del "Running Games" (anterior àlbum del 2021).

Hoekstra demostra que, a més de guitar-hero, és un bon compositor i sap envoltar-se dels grans.

Az Accept 2024-ben Joel Hoekstrával lép fel az összes európai fesztiválon és a májusi dél-amerikai turnén. Sajnos nálunk még nem kopogtattak ezzel a felállással.

Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Night Ranger) Phil Shouse-t helyettesíti, aki tavaly éppen a dél-amerikai turnén lett rosszul, a repülőgépnek, melyen az Accept, a Kreator és a Testament tagjai utaztak, el kellett halasztania az indulást Limából, amikor az Accept gitárosa ételmérgezés és kiszáradás miatt a felszállás előtt összeesett. Talán ezért határozott úgy az amerikai zenész, hogy idén kihagyja az egyéb kontinenseket és csak az Accept amerikai koncertjein fog csatlakozni a bandához. Wolf Hoffmann gitáros így nyilatkozott: „Nagy megtiszteltetés számunkra, hogy Joel Hoekstrával állhatunk színpadra, ő egy kivételes gitáros, hatalmas tiszteletet érzek iránta. Az egész zenekar nagyon várja már, hogy együtt játszhasson ezzel a húrvarázslóval.” Hoekstra hozzátette: „Nagy megtiszteltetés, hogy együtt riffelhetek Wolffal és a srácokkal! Nagyon várom már, hogy találkozhassak az Accept összes európai és dél-amerikai rajongójával!”
