As a huge fan of the series, I personally like to think and believe that when it comes to HBO's Tales From The Crypt, all of the following episodes you'll see and read below are set in the same universe as each other as they're all connected in the fact that each of them are incredibly stylized and very, very, VERY dark as shit even when it seems like they're more tongue-in-cheek or comedic, they go dark fast:
• The Man Who Was Death
• And All Through The House
• Dig That Cat... He's Real Gone
• Only Sin Deep
• Lover Come Hack To Me
• The Thing From The Grave
• For Cryin' Out Loud
• Four-Sided Triangle
• Judy, You're Not Yourself Today
• Fitting Punishment
• Lower Berth
• Mute Witness To Murder
• Television Terror
• Abra Cadaver
• Top Billing
• Easel Kill Ya
• Deadline
• Yellow
• None But The Lonely Heart
• On A Deadman's Chest
• What's Cookin'
• The New Arrival
• Showdown
• King Of The Road
• Maniac At Large
• Split Personality
• Strung Along
• Death Of Some Salesman
• Forever Ambergris
• People Who Live In Brass Hearses
• Two For The Show
• Well Cooked Hams
• Came The Dawn
• Half-Way Horrible
• Till Death Do We Part
• Only Skin Deep
• The Assassin
• Staired In Horror
• Surprise Party
• You, Murderer
• Fatal Caper
• Escape
• Horror In The Night
• Cold War
• The Kidnapper
• Report From The Grave
• About Face
and last but DEFINITELY not least,
• Confession
Furthermore, we could take it just a little step further and maybe have the Cryptkeeper be somehow secretly responsible for the events in all of them.

Rene St.Aubin emailed: "When is your next trip to Ireland to get the feel of music and culture"
Robin MacDonald emailed from Wolf Creek, OR: "Hello Marc, I have been listening to your podcast, Irish & Celtic Music, on Amazon Prime. However just within the last few weeks it has completely disappeared! It will not even come up on a search, which is crazy because your music CDs do. How odd. Did you get some sort of notification from Amazon Prime Music that your podcast was no longer going to be available?
I will have to figure out a new way to listen to it and I will! I just enjoyed the convenience as I am not able to stream music much at work (bandwidth) but Amazon Prime Music seemed to always work. Best Regards,"
Robin followed that up with: "Hello Marc, Enjoy your trip! Thanks for getting back to me and for the link. There’s good news though, your Celtic Christmas podcasts are still available on Amazon Prime! Love it always, any time of the year. "
Patrick Rieger emailed some photos: "Hi Marc, My family and I have been busy the past month with a stop at our favorite pub and two renaissance festivals, so I'll be sending a few emails about the incredible musicians we enjoyed.
On August 24, we went to Mullaney's Harp & Fiddle to see John McCann and Hamish, and an hour after they started everyone, including John and Hamish, got a surprise: the third member of the Corned Beef and Curry Band dropped in, Bob Banerjee. Bob is the most incredible fiddle player I have ever seen, and he has an endless number of bad jokes. He is the curry in the band's name, having been born in India. So for a few hours, this great band was back together. Irish musician Mark Guiser was in the audience that night, and was invited onto the stage for a few songs. Two wedding parties then dropped in for some post - reception fun. The energy, excitement and fun hadn't been that high at the Harp in a long time, and my wife and I only left because our son needed to get to bed.
In one photo is The Corned Beef & Curry Band, from left to right, John McCann, Bob Banerjee, and Hamish,
In the other, Mark Guiser and Bob. They were playing Hallelujah with Mark singing."

Junji Ito’s Horror Manga ‘Bloodsucking Darkness’ Getting Live-Action Adaptation
Entertainment news source Variety reported on Thursday that Junji Ito's "Bloodsucking Darkness" story is being developed as a live-action film, with writer Jeff Howard (Resident Evil 2021 series co-executive producer, The Haunting of Hill House supervising producer) writing the screenplay and serving as executive producer. Ito himself is a producer on the project. Film studio Fangoria Studios is producing the film. “Fangoria Studios is going to adapt my manga! I’m so excited to see how it will turn out,” said Ito, who is serving as a producer. “I hope I get to see the trailer in my dreams tonight.” Tara Ansley, Armen Aghaeian, and Abhi Goel are credited as producers for the film under Fangoria Studios, while Yasu Kutami and Tsubasa Yamaguchi are producers under Amuse Group USA. Phil Wurtzel is executive producer under Friel Films. Kevin Nicklaus, Ryan Lewis, and Joe Riley are also executive producers. "Bloodsucking Darkness" is one of Ito's many one-shot manga short stories. The story centers on a girl named Nami, who is so obsessed with dieting that she finds herself vomiting blood. She dreams about a world that rains blood, and has founder herself waking up with blood all around her. She meets a boy named Kazuya, who expresses worry about her dieting, and tries to get close to her.

♥️rate
Among all the gadgets I've looked into and obsessed over, the one I least understand is the use of a heart rate monitor. I guess the concept is simple...find your max. heart rate for your age, use that as your threshold for training. Want to go faster longer? Interval train based on how fast your heart is beating. These days you see all kinds of heart rate monitors in the market. You can strap them to your arm, chest or my personal favorite, your head! Like as if we didn't look douchy enough already. Just for shits and giggles, I decided to monitor my heart rate on one workout. Joe's training plan is laid out by zones, described simply by perceived effort. I figured I could at least learn if my perception matches my heart rate. So happens I am spot on! In other words, I don't need some fancy gadget to tell me I'm about to have a heart attack running at 5.3 (miles) on a 2 incline for 5 mins! I'm going to take Chrissie's sage advice and keep it simple, feel it out. So Moov, Garmin and the rest of you lot, you can't have my money! I'm gonna spend it on more stretchy pants for my aching ass!! Countdown is 6 weeks tick tock...

Protomartyr & Deadbeat Beat Live Show Review: 11/9, Empty Bottle, Chicago
BY JORDAN MAINZER
Protomartyr was the last band I was supposed to see before the pandemic officially shut everything down. I wasn’t able to go for other reasons, and given what we now know about how COVID-19 spreads, it was probably for the best. In any case, I remember feeling that if that was the last show I would see for a while, what better than a band whose bleak observations on crumbling humanity have soundtracked some of the coldest times in my life? In a sense, catching them at the Empty Bottle last night was just as fitting. In context of a very much not over pandemic that exposed society’s structural rot, and the hope that elected officials or leaders will do anything about that rot far in the rearview mirror, again, who better to drink cheap beer with than the band who, too, keeps on trucking despite it all?
With last year’s great Ultimate Success Today (Domino), Protomartyr have grown from being the group whose trademark songs contrast economic disillusionment with the hope of the Pope’s visit to the Silverdome or pay tribute to pure dive bars. Simultaneously apocalyptic and introspective while still retaining the somewhat satirical tone of their earlier work, Ultimate Success Today is a reflection on the band’s first decade together, a mid-life crisis, and a product of an ever decaying political climate. In its making, the band embraced being a fully formed entity, from following the same sleep and food routines when they moved in together to record, to the sessions themselves. Protomartyr has always had great chemistry, but Ultimate Success Today clearly grew them closer, at least musically. Last night, from the start on “Day Without End”, Greg Ahee’s guitars swirled with authority and Alex Leonard’s circular drums ascended to a peak as lead singer Joe Casey grew more unhinged with desperation. “Dull ache turned sharp! / Short breath, never caught!” he chanted to a crowd giving him their energy back, a paean to solidarity of the sick.
The addition of The Breeders’ Kelley Deal to Protomartyr’s live lineup allowed them to more faithfully perform songs on which she was featured in studio, like 2015 single “Blues Festival” and the pummeling “Wheel of Fortune”. Moreover, her talents on the guitar and synths and her sneakily expansive voice were the perfect complement in timbre to Casey’s baritone and Scott Davidson’s lumbering bass. When the band performed “Tarpeian Rock” from their 2014 instant classic Under Color of Official Right, it was Deal providing backing to Casey’s manic calls for execution. Though the band has remained stylistically consistent over their decade of existence, they’ve become less rigid, and Ultimate Success Today and their subsequent live performance demonstrated an accelerated openness.
The first band on the bill, Deadbeat Beat (also from Detroit), funny enough played their last show at the Empty Bottle pre-COVID. They showcased the same jangly pop prowess as on their most recent album, 2019′s How Far (Crystal Palace/Arrowhawk). Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Alex Glendening sang with a muffled nasal yelp, sort of like Galaxie 500′s Dean Wareham, sometimes in harmony with drummer Maria Nuccilli. Nuccilli’s steady motorik beats provided the backbone for chugging jams and psychedelic melodies, Zak Frieling’s swaying basslines propelling them forward. Glendening’s lyrics are often thoughtful ruminations on being queer in a scene still unfortunately dominated by straight cis white males, but last night, you couldn’t totally hear the words. Still, the wailing quality of Glendening’s voice added wonders to the band’s Flying Nun-inspired choogles. Oh, and they covered Arthur Russell’s “Habit of You” and managed to make it sound like it should have been a Deadbeat Beat song--not an easy feat!

Post-AGT Appearance 1162: KTLA News at 10 September 15
The ranking of songs is based on a combination of radio plays, requests, downloads and sales. As a result the Battle flag of Love would get off to a faster start because djs would be more comfortable playing Slow drip of Love but require requests for Battle flag. So Battle flag of Love would have started at 47 and Slow drip of Love at 92. The John Williams Avonelle Medley would continue to sink but still ahead of the Bond Covid Medley, now sinking slowly through the 80s.
The California recall would have been only a few points closer: Newsom surviving.
On the very day my tour was starting I would get an ultimatum from the Colbert people. Unless I make a firm announcement about Phillip’s coma they would start a pull the plug countdown before the end of October with the plug pulling in February. They would finally ask for the official rules.
Phillip will come out of the coma with either the death of any person on his list, including the mystery last name, or with a period of relative silence about the people on the list. Since almost everyone on the list made news this summer that is not in sight, though the humiliating defeat of Kaitlyn Jenner in the recall vote helps.
I would debut at the Wiltern in Los Angeles and be quoted first on the tour by the only tv news station to cover the event in person: KTLA News at 10 in LA. Cher Calvin is the anchor and Courtney Friel would give the report.
Calvin: Switching to entertainment news, we have a new variety tour starting here in LA. Courtney Friel was there and joins us now from in front of The Wiltern; Courtney.
Friel: Well, it feels good to be back in front of the Wiltern talking about a live performance. Phillip and Cole’s Variety Team chose this site to launch a 3 month tour, his first since the pandemic. Phil has been ill of late, so he opened with a sitting down monolog.
PBC: I think it is official now: Joseph Robinette Biden is President of the United States.
Friel: Phil has shied away from political jokes for a long time and promised this would be his night to explode back to his old form from before the last administration. For nearly a half hour he told Joe Biden jokes, but most of them were rather limp.
PBC: Lincoln, Blinken and nod.
Friel: For the rest of the night he mostly introduced acts like Hank Williams, Jr.
(They show a brief clip of Battle flag of Love as posted previously.)
Friel: And Nancy Sinatra.
(They show a longer clip from the video version of the Bond Covid Medley as posted earlier.)
Friel: Plus a few taped segments. Masks were optional but for sale, including his wife’s designer masks.
Calvin: Thank you Courtney. We’ll be right back with another look at tonight’s weather.
