FOUND FAMILY TROPE
⇀ tags ; fem!reader, developing relationships, found family, reader is yanqing's mom, jing yuan being a bit emo, slight angst, fluff, happy endings!
⇀ note: here's part 2, sorry it took a while sdjhfjh
part 1
jing yuan never liked the quiet, but he doesn't hate it as well.
sometimes, to him, it's peaceful. the gentle rays of sunlight slowly making its home in his abode, the gentle rustle of the wind, curtains fluttering from the gentle breeze, and the chirping of those tiny little finches that seemingly found comfort in his windows.
but sometimes, it's unsettling. his abode is far too huge for his liking. far too big that despite his huge stature... it makes him feel so small. the quiet seems to haunt him, its silence deafening. The halls are way too quiet, every nook and cranny - every room he barely used...
he was never used to the quiet, never ever got used to it. to jingyuan, the silence was a hard pill to swallow - one that haunted him, one that enables the lonely thoughts and regrets he has in his head. to him, it's a terrifying gamble. one that he doesn't risk, and a risk he doesn't want to take.
yet, he doesn't like the noise either. not when the screams and cries of his people fills the air, not when his friends mourn for their lost friend, not when the final verdict was placed, and not when their hatred and vengeance spoke louder that it drowned the voices of their joyful laughter.
not when chingzu scolds him for the nth time for setting his duties aside, not when fu xuan complains about his sleepiness, and not when another trouble arises in the luofu.
but then suddenly... the noise doesn't seem to be as unbearable as before. when he met you, as cheesy as it sounds.
"yanqing! don't run too fast!" you scolded as yanqing continued to run away from you, laughing and giggling as he played in the general's garden. you sighed in defeat and placed your hands on your waist.
the general chuckled, "it's fine y/n, let the little man play to his heart's content. I don't mind at all"
"you spoil him a bit too much, general. i'm afraid he'll get more and more demanding" you let out a small laugh.
the quiet was slowly filled with noise, ones that came from you and your son... ones that echoed through his oh so empty halls, ones that vibrated through his walls, ones that filled his abode with the color of your tone, ones that replaced the seemingly monochromatic energy of his own home... and ones that he always looked forward to hear in the mornings, afternoons, and nights.
the way you and yanqing would greet him with a sweet "good morning, general!" was something that brought warmth and comfort to his lonely heart. something that gives him peace as you began to serve breakfast on the table with yanqing helping you set up the table...
the way you would sing your lullabies to lull your son to sleep, the way you would hum as you cook in the kitchen, the way you would read yanqing bed time stories, and the way you keep him entertained with your company by telling random stories and tales about yourself...
these are the moments and memories he forever wants to keep - ones that he never intends to sacrifice. one that he will forever engrave and etch on his heart and mind, body and soul.
but then suddenly, the silence doesn't seem to be as unbearable as before. as he watches you and yanqing sleep.
the corner of his lips twitched upwards and turned into a warm smile as he observes the mother and son duo sleeping about in the garden without a single care in the world. your forms are relaxed, the children's book in your hand slipping out of your grasp, your arms wrapped around yanqing as he sleeps on your chest, and the soft snores you both let out wasn't something he was able to miss.
and suddenly, jing yuan hated to not hear the quiet.
"general, you've done enough for me and yanqing throughout my whole recovery. i'm truly grateful for your kindness and care, which is why I think it would be best not to further burden you anymore with our situation as I have recovered” you said with an almost disappointed and apologetic smile, and jing yuan froze in place.
“I already told you, I don’t mind at all as long as you have fully recovered. that would be the only favor I ask of you in return” he said, trying to convince you while trying to mask his desperation
“you’re too kind general, truly. I can’t thank you enough for letting us stay just because of my son’s insistence and tantrums…”
jing yuan could have left you both to the care of the healers of the alchemy commission after he had rescued you and yanqing… but the little man’s cries of fear and worry over his mother made it hard for him to leave. so he held him close, and chose to look after him until you wake up because yanqing who found comfort in the general’s presence - doesn’t want to part with him.
jing yuan could have agreed without any hesitation to your offer, he could have allowed for you to leave his home… but he got so used of your presence that it made it hard for him to agree. those moments where he feels himself truly relax in his abode, the fact that he have someone to come home to… for him to keep on bearing the burden and weight on his shoulders, for everything to be much more bearable than before…
he couldn’t bear coming home to an empty house anymore, where only silence and noise greets him in mockery.
and suddenly, jing yuan hated to silence the noise
as you filled the empty rooms and spaces in his abode, leaving your mark on every corner of his home… driving away the silence that haunts him as he hears your skittering and humming in the kitchen while making dinner, as you read your bedtime stories to your son, as you sing while taking your sweet time in the shower…
for once, jing yuan felt fear.
for once, he lets himself be selfish.
“…I plan to take yanqing as my apprentice” your jaw drops.
“g-general? what are you- that’s too much to ask of you!” you exclaimed.
“the little man wants to become a cloud knight does he not? I don’t see the problem with that” he said with his familiar smug and relaxed demeanor.
“but yanqing has not made any feats worthy of him being your apprentice! general, I ask you to please reconsider”
“I disagree, I see great potential in him and I have no doubts he will reach great heights and perform great feats… I only wish to nurture his talent at a young age” he stepped towards you.
“there are plenty of spare rooms for us to make use of… and I don’t mind you using them. so fret not.”
maybe, this is his way of asking you both to stay. as you look in his eyes, he looks at you with such gentleness… desperation… and longing. for once, the general looked truly lonely, but he couldn’t be anymore sincere of his feelings.
and maybe, just maybe… you might give in to his wishes too.
sksjdh finally complete, sorry it took so long 😭 I don’t know if I did well in writing part 2 but this is the best that my brain could think of 🥹
should I do a part 3 as well??

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 - 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐪𝐢𝐧𝐠
-> In which it takes a talking and diagnosis for Yanqing to realize he was more than capable of having a crush. (1.1k words) (req by @xx-yanqing-anonymous-xx )
Cw) oblivious dork yanqing and guiding father figure jing yuan agenda
18+ DNI! Yanqing is explicitly stated to be around 14-16 in his character story, and I am not comfortable with adults reading romantic content with a minor.
Tumblr media
"General, I think I need to see a healer."
Jing Yuan halted in his movements, carefully turning his head towards the young lieutenant. Besides the stern expression plastered on his face, Yanqing looked like his usual self. There wasn't a sign of illness in sight.
"Is there something wrong? You aren't pale..." The General gently brushed the younger's bangs upwards, placing the back of his hand on the blonde's forehead. "And you're body temperature is perfectly fine."
"It's not noticeable on the outside, General!" Yanqing blurted, the same stern expression displayed on his features. "I think I'm cursed..."
Jing Yuan only stared at the boy. Cursed? While it's not a common occurrence on the Luofu in the slightest, he wouldn't be all that surprised. Higher ranking Cloud Knights are always more widely known, and therefore more sought offer with more malicious intentions by criminals.
And Yanqing was a lieutenant, after all.
"And just what makes you believe that, Yanqing?" The elder inquired. He always believed Yanqing, but in this case, he wondered if the boy was exaggerating a personal feeling. It wouldn't be entirely out of character.
"It's (Name)! Whenever I'm near them, my heart rate increases and my face gets real hot! It's uncomfortable, and I can only imagine it being some sort of curse, right?"
The General deadpanned.
"What's with that face! General, you've gotta believe me!" Yanqing blatted, stern expression replaced with a comical irritated face.
"Oh Yanqing, have you ever heard of the phrase 'having a crush'?"
'Having a crush? Having a... crush?' He thought to himself curiously. It was a phrase he's heard of. Many times, in fact. On nearly every patrol he'd pass different groups of teenage girls talking amongst themselves, the words "your crush?" or "the one I like" getting thrown around once or twice.
But weren't 'crushes' meant for non Cloud Knights? Not once has he heard a single knight discuss their love life. At least, not on the job. The lieutenant simply chucked simple matters such as love aside.
Maybe if love came in the shape of a sword he'd pay more mind to it.
"I think this 'curse' of yours are merely romantic feelings for (Name). That's not something to be ashamed of, no?" Jing Yuan reasoned with the boy, only making the young lieutenant scoff in response.
"And just what would you know about love, General?" Yanqing interrogated teasingly. To no avail, Jing Yuan only brushed his inquires off. "Why don't you go visit (Name)? See if that 'curse' of yours is still intact." The General teased back, something Yanqing didn't brush off.
"You know what? I will! Thanks for the help, General. But I'm sure I'm not experiencing a crush." The Cloud Knight Lieutenant muttered the last part under his breath, feeling a tad bit rude for telling the General he was wrong. Jing Yuan waved him off, resuming his paperwork.
"The General told me it was a 'crush...' but I'm still sure this is a curse. Bailu, is there anything you can do about this?"
The small healer never experienced a patient like this.
Most of her patients came to her for a diagnosis of something they didn't know of. If the diagnosis was something serious, it wasn't out of the ordinary for a patient to be in denial for a moment. But with time, they come to accept their condition.
Yet this boy was a whole other story.
Yanqing would prefer hearing he was cursed rather than the (much better) alternative; having a crush.
"I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do for you." Bailu declared, ready to send the blonde out and call in her next patient.
"But wait! Are you sure? My heart beating that fast can't be normal, right? Aren't there any prescriptions for that?" Question after question... Bailu was getting quite fed up. "Well, there's nothing I can do... but..."
"But?" Yanqing asked enthusiastically
"There's something you could do."
Yanqing didn't know who to blame for his current situation.
One of the Luofu's greatest healers, or the Cloud Knight General. Whosever's fault it is, he knew they were only partially to blame. No matter how much he refutes any blame, he knew deep down this was partially his own fault.
Yes, it was Yanqing's own fault he stood dressed in his finest attire, with a bouquet of roses in hand.
Who was the bouquet meant for?
"Yanqing?" Your familiar voice called out. He didn't have to turn to know it was you, not anymore, at least.
The blood that rushed to his face, his heartbeat gradually speeding up, there was only one person on the entire Luofu that had that kind affect on him.
"Make sure to let them know how you feel while your at it!"
"You want a diagnosis so badly? I'll give you one. I diagnosis you with the fattest crush known to The Xianzhou Luofu. Will that do?"
The words the lieutenant previously deafened replayed in his mind, now louder than ever.
He'd resort to calling these feelings a 'curse' just to run from his feelings. He's not sure why he was so adamant about avoiding these feelings. Because now that you're mere feet away from him, he finally began to appreciate the fuzzy feeling you gave him.
Because while he can run from his feelings all he wants, he could never run from you.
"I- well... I have something I wanna tell you." He started slowly, trying to find the right words. You stood there patiently, and Yanqing could feel his face growing warmer and warmer and his heartbeat faster and faster. "You see, I..."
"I really like you, (Name)! I really really like you. Will you go out with me?" He held his head low and pushed the bouquet of roses forward, in front of you. Your lack of response was worrisome, so worrisome in fact that the blonde considered running again.
"I'll answer you if you look at me, Yanqing." You calmly requested, seemingly unbothered. The lieutenant slowly lifted his head, locking eyes with you after a few seconds. "If you're gonna say that kind of thing, at least look a little more confident."
You carefully took the bouquet from his hands, holding it gently to your torso. "I like you too, Yanqing. I really really like you too, actually." Your imitation of him made him chuckle.
He looked ethereal under the beaming sun, the light highlighting his features was almost too perfect.
It was so perfect in fact, you couldn't help but place a sweet kiss on his cheek.
"So, who put you up to this, boyfriend." You teased, gesturing to the almost fancy attire he wore. He was still in shock from the kiss, of course. Calling him your boyfriend on top of that was certainly not helping his situation.
"Ah- well, it's a long story... lover?"

May I please request Aeon of Cultivation! S/o with Emanator Yanqing?
The Aeon of Cultivation isn’t like Abundance. Whereas the Abundance is like the uncontrolled growth of a forest, the Cultivation is like a farm. Something carefully tended to and guided to grow while also allowing for the pruning of what a person doesn’t need.
Sorry, wanted to write a quick description of Cultivation so it’d be easier to understand , but the Aeon! S/O walks among people because they themselves want to know who they give their power to. Because before they ascended to Aeonhood, they want to be good, so they want to choose good people to give their power to.
On the Xianzhou, they meet Yanqing and, after getting to know him, make him their first Emanator as a way to help him grow his own skills (he doesn’t know he’s an Emanator until he finds that he can outpace the general or Fu Xuan tells him or something)
Thank you for all the awesome stories you share here. Hope this makes it before all the Yanqing angst returns.
Hey there, Anon!! I absolutely love this request, so I hope my little one-shot will do it justice!!<33
Content: light-hearted stuff for once, unserious, fluff, reader is an Aeon and Yanqing doesn't know about it at first, established relationship, Jing Yuan being Jing Yuan, sfw
Reader has no set pronouns!

"You know... I've been feeling odd lately." "Odd? How so?" "Well... would you believe me if I told you that I was able to beat Master Jing Yuan in a duel earlier today?" You hid a small, knowing smirk behind a fan, eyes turned away to slyly glance at the setting sun that was bidding it's last goodbyes over the ocean's horizon. You were both bathed in a warm, orange glow, your thumb idly running over his knuckles with a chuckle.
"Perhaps all the training has finally simply paid off?" You asked after a small pause, yet your lover didn't seem all too convinced. His nose wrinkled, eyes narrowing in disagreement as his head followed your gaze. "No... at least not entirely... I think there is more to it. I have never even gotten close to beating him before." You shrug at his words before you placed your fan down onto the wooden table and raised your teacup to your lips with a hum, unable to hide your amused grin anymore.
"Then I suppose that the seal stuck to your forehead did not solve the issue?"
Yanqing deadpanned at your words, his fingers ghosting over it absently with a shake of his head. He had a long day behind him, one filled with chaos after Jing Yuan for a moment believed that he was possessed again. And to say that the young Lieutenant did not appreciate having a seal slapped onto his forehead in panic by HuoHuo would be an understatement.
"I'm afraid not." He said, the annoyance so clear it made you nearly snort. "I believe he just did it out of spite." "Ofcourse." You agreed easily, enjoying your lover's cluelessness a little too much. You knew it was perhaps wrong to hide the truth from him... but you also enjoyed the smug and proud look on his face, as he most likely replayed his mentors defeat in his mind. As the Aeon of cultivation themselves, you couldn't help but think that letting him figure it out on his own would be the best way to go about it. It will help him grow further after all.
"Ugh... how am I supposed to get this seal off now? HuoHuo said that I shouldn't take it off in case I am possessed... but I'm not!" The boy pulled on it, wincing a little when it pulled his skin with it. You smiled a little, hand reaching out to replace his, before you just simply slid it off with ease. "There." You hummed and ignored the dumbfounded look on Yanqing's face as you decided to retire for the day after a swift and sly goodbye.
He watched you leave for a while, his hand holding onto the piece of Shuen paper in thought. You shouldn't have been able to take it off... but then again, there were many things about you that often left him wondering if you were hiding something after all, just like the general apparently believed.
It began with your rather mysterious origins on the Xianzhou. You never spoke of your past, and in a way, he supposed that that was one of the many things that made him interested in you in the first place. You believed in his strength, in his growth, always so awfully wise for the young few years you were supposed to have, and yet even after a while into courtship, he still felt this air of mystery surrounding you. One last detail to complete everything he knew about you.
But... perhaps he was looking too much into it... right?
--
The days went on in rather... interesting ways. He found himself growing a bigger appetite, often times ending with you and him sitting in restaurants near the ocean side whilst you watched him feast away with a content look in your eyes. All on you, ofcourse.
And then there was his sudden near inhuman strength he never had before. He was able to pick up bolders twice his size, swing heavier swords with ease. His senses seemed sharper, feet quicker, breath more steady, and even with longer lasting stamina. Despite the concern that ran through him at all these changes, he still found himself rather open to it in a way. Perhaps everything he had done over the years was indeed finally paying off! Or maybe... an Aeon had simply blessed him at last? He didn't know which was better... or worse.
Jing Yuan, on the other hand, seemed less impressed by the whole ordeal. Something he only let you know one day whilst you watched Yanqing partake in another much harder training with concerning growth in his abilities. Well, concerning to anyone but you two. "So... what exactly was your reason for doing this?" The older man hummed after a long moment of silence, his sly eyes glancing at you from the rim of his teacup, which you met with an amused smile of your own. It wasn't surprising that he caught on eventually.
"He... is deserving of it." The answer was short, criptic, perhaps not made for non-Aeon's to understand, and yet the general still tilted his head in a silent demand of elaboration. You couldn't help but chuckle at his confidence. "I've traversed amongst the people in search of someone worthy of growth, someone who can appreciate the cultivation needed to hone one's abilities for the good of others." "Is that why you made him a lover, Aeon of cultivation?" Ah, so that's what it was. You figured that he'd grow suspicious of your intentions, that small narrow of his eyes making you press your lips together and shake your head.
"No. My love for him is not relevant to my decision." "Then that's all I need to hear." There was another long pause, one filled with the both of you watching Yanqing fight against some cloud knights in the distance of the training grounds, whilst the sun was beginning to set. Whilst you were happy with your decision, you still couldn't help but begin to wonder what the blonde may be thinking of all of this. Or rather, what he'd think of you once he realizes what you were. You were afraid of his reaction.
"... Are you going to tell him?" You asked, making Jing Yuan hum in thought before shaking his head with a small grin. "No. I'll let him figure it out on his own." He simply said, and you felt the underlying bitterness in those indifferent words. Yanqing apparently smugly celebrated his glory over his own mentor for everyone to see and hear. It was no surprise that the man would use this as a teaching moment of the sort. Even if just to spite him.
"And besides... I'm glad you decided to be different than those that came before you." You gave the man a surprised look at the praise, yet couldn't thank him when the young lieutenant came running your way with a call of your name. You handed him a silken towel to distract from your aching heart, watching as he quickly wiped away the sweat on his forehead with a wide grin. "How did I do today? I did great, didn't I, Master?" "Indeed you have, Yanqing..." A knowing smirk rested on the man's face lazily before he took the opportunity to retire early for the day, leaving you and your lover alone. There was an akward, one-sided silence between the both of you, one that the usually dense blonde noticed immideatly. He paused his boasting to stare at your rather nervous expression that you tried to desperately hide behind a fan.
Tumblr media
He had noticed that you've been acting out of character lately, your usual calm and rather talkative demeanor replaced with something more solemn and guilty. At first, he believed that you were simply feeling ill with the change of the weather on the Xianzhou... but lately, he was beginning to wonder if you were perhaps getting worried sick over his sudden change instead. He knew it was unnatural and that he should perhaps ask the Master Diviner to help him... but at the same time, he couldn't help but near selfishly want to stay this way in hopes of impressing you. He wanted to be strong for you. Someone you can speak of and boast about with pride. Yet when he saw the way you nervously averted your eyes after he asked you if you were okay, he determined that it wasn't worth the heartache you must've been experiencing.
--
That's what eventually led him to stand in front of an unimpressed Fu Xuan, as he spoke of his woes and odd newfound powers in hopes of finally getting to the bottom of this mystery. Her arms were crossed tightly, a brow raised, whilst she secretly questioned how a young boy like him could be this dense. They were standing in the generals office, said man idly resting in his grand chair with a content, smug look on his face that made the woman's temper just rise more. He definitely already knew what was going on. They both figured it out from the start, and yet the older man saw amusement in teaching the boy a lesson one way or another. Even if, in her opinion, at least, it was in nonsensical ways like these.
"- So, with all that said, I hereby humbly request for your help, lady Fu Xuan." The boy concluded with a nod of his head, making the woman deadpan harder before turning to give Jing Yuan a long, hard look. The disappointment and annoyance in her gaze were clear, yet the man chose to ignore it by coincidentally taking a sip of his tea with a smug smile. "... I must say, I'm starting to question many things about your leadership lately." "Hm? Sorry, I can't hear you from all the way over here." Sighing in exasperation, she looked at Yanqing again, who was now beginning to fidget a little nervously at their rather indifferent reactions to all of this.
"You're an Emanator of cultivation. That's all there is to it. I'm afraid there is nothing we can do to reverse it either, if that is your next request." "Huh?" "Don't tell me you're standing too far away to hear me as well, boy." Yanqing blinked once, then twice, before looking down at the calloused palms of his hands. Everything seemed to make sense to him in that moment, as he had heard of that rather new Aeon before and especially about what their abilities entailed... yet there was still one thing he couldn't make sense of. "... How did this happen? I don't ever recall meeting them."
Fu Xuan rubbed her temples in defeat. "Have you never once questioned your own lover's origins?" She asked, hoping it was enough to finally wake him up. And it seemed to be the case when the boy's eyes lit up in sudden realisation, his eyes widening in near disbelief. And yet, that also made sense. All of the signs, all of the little hints... that's the small detail he was missing all along! "I... Thank you, lady Fu Xuan, for your help! Now if you'll excuse me..." The two adults watched the blonde sprint out of the generals office, the silence deafening before it was filled with Jing Yuan's chuckling. Fu Xuan gave him an unimpressed glare.
"I'm unsure of how to interpret the grand lesson you so have bestowed on him this time." The man waved his hand dismissively, eyes turned down to the paperwork laying on his desk. "I just hope it will teach him not to boast anymore over something that he didn't achieve on his own." "So I assume you are still angered over him beating you in that duel?" "Ah how odd... it seems like I can't hear you once more, Fu Xuan..."
--
The ocean waves gently crashed against the stone wall under the pavillion you were sitting in, your lover uncharacteristically quiet as he sat opposite you in intense silence. His hand grasped onto yours reassuringly, trying to remind you that he wasn't angry despite him now clearly knowing who you were, or rather, what you were. You felt nervous, guilty, and perhaps even more scared now. Yet you were unable to look at him as your gaze simply followed the reflection of the moonlight that spread across the ocean surface in the distance. Your lips trembled as you spoke, voice small in a shaky whisper that made his gaze soften and melt even more.
"Are you... afraid of me now? Angry? Enraged?"
Yanqing shook his head, which made you finally look at him. "Not at all. If anything, I'm grateful for this gift you've given me, my dove." You tried to find a lie in his words, yet you couldn't even dare it. He was sincere, truthful. You hummed weakly, a small smile on your lips. "I see... that makes me glad to hear..." A comfortable silence filled the air again, this time one that made you relax and the stress you've been carrying around for a while now finally subside. You worried for nothing and were thankful that your judgment was right.
You chose well indeed.
Alrighttt... I'm not sure if this was good or not, but I really hope it was good enough for you, Anon!! And thank you again for your great request. I had fun writing this, even if I'm not too confident about it.

hey hey hey! hope you're quite well today. if this isn't tiring, then i wonder if you can make a platonic yandere blade, dan heng, himeko, bailu, jingyuan and yanqing with a slightly nahida!reader. like you know, is intelligent despite her age and somewhat knows their yandere behaviour (she can't read people's mind but but she can read people like a book). at first, she was an elusive and secretive individual, also suffered from very low self-esteem as a result of her parents judging her and likes to read books. She almost always maintains a gentle and kind demeanour when she speaks to others, and treats everyone as equals. Her social skills though needs some work and speaks in analogies. if this is too much, then ignores. take care of your health, please.
Holy moly, that's alot of characters😅
Trigger Warning: Yandere, Obsessive behaviour, Possessive behaviour, Clingy behaviour, Kidnapping, Murder
Blade: He takes interest in you, you seem to know what he is thinking at all times. It doesn't take long for an obsession to start and you notice it right away. It annoys him that you so easily dodge him and even more that you treat those pests as equals, including your parents.
He kills your parents, infront of you. This is the price of avoiding him. You cry, of course you do, it's your parents that was killed, but Blade smiles. Now you have no choice but to come with him.
"Look at your parents, if you didn't avoid me they would still be alive"
Dan Heng: Will try to manipulate you to his side, he wants to protect you from this cruel world, but you see through every lie and manipulation. If this goes on for too long and he has to return to the astral express, then he would kidnap you during nighttime, you might be smarter then him, but not stronger.
Now Dan Heng has you on the astral express, he lies to the crew, telling them that you're brainwashed by your 'abusive' parents. Normal people wouldn't believe this, but the crew has seen so many strange things that they accept this. All of this just so he could protect you.
"Just know that this is for your safety, the world is far too cruel for someone like you"
Himeko: Already has adoption papers, wait what do you mean you already have parents. She finds you cute, and you are just so smart, you are everything she ever wanted in a child. But her dreams shatter so easily, you had parents and while a bit strict, they were good people.
Too bad that their child had a yandere after them. While Himeko is away from you all she can do is think about what you're doing, if you're eating well and getting the right amount of sleep. She will take you onboard the train, sure you notice that something is wrong but it is too late, the train is already leaving your planet.
"Don't look so sad, now come on, you may call me mother"
Bailu: 2 increadibly smart children that are childhood friends, she always takes time out of the day to spend time with her friend. Hell, she might even stop an emergency treatment just to spend time with you.
You notice early that Bailu's friendship is toxic, but you try to fix her, surely she isn't too far beyond saving. Well you knew the answer when you woke up, chains binding your wrists as she cuddles into you. All you did was spend time with another of your friends, but Bailu misunderstood and thought you were replacing her, and now were here.
"You can't leave me, you are MY friend and mine alone"
Sorry but I cut out Jing Yuan and Yanqing, I never thought that someone would request so many characters. I'll just add a new rule to the rule list

Yanqing wishes the General would get angry with him.
Not because he wants to be the source of his father’s ire, but because Jing Yuan’s disappointment is so much worse.
When Yanqing was young, he’d mess up every day. He’d break a pot, or trip running up the stairs, or say something hurtful that he really didn’t mean. And the General would just chuckle and say that accidents happen. “They’re merely learning opportunities.”
But as he grew, that chuckle vanished, replaced with a heavy sigh. The accidents got worse. Yanqing would hurt someone during training, or ignore orders, or challenge villains far above his skill level. And the General would sigh and shake his head. He never yelled as he told Yanqing what kind of trouble he’d gotten himself into. Jing Yuan would never raise his voice to his son.
But Yanqing wishes he would.
He could handle anger. He could handle frustrated tirades and tongue lashings.
But Yanqing could see in his father’s weary eyes, there was hope and it was dimming. It was an unspoken “You can do better. You know better.” And it hurts far more than any beating.
The General never gets angry at Yanqing.
So Yanqing gets angry at himself.

𝒟𝒶𝓃 𝐻𝑒𝓃𝑔
He could never understand what you went through, but he would never put you down. March was the one who found you because she was nosy, yet this time it was a good thing since they found you, of course, all messed up and bloodied with loose bandages, dredged in your blood.
But that was a long time, and now you have a smile that goes ear to ear; it also replaces that previous sad expression you used to wear. He doesn’t spend that much time with you, but he wants to, but he doesn’t know how to talk to you. Nevertheless, you seem happier with March.
Well, you seem to like learning, so why not let you in the archive room?
He accidentally touched you; he was really sorry! He didn’t mean to hurt you or have any intention to... to see you stare at him like he was going to kill you. He’ll do anything to get your forgiveness, and he will promise to never make the same mistake again.
𝐵𝓁𝒶𝒹𝑒
Why would he care about you? Just a piece to be played by the stellaron hunters to be their marionette for their "destiny," a little bug that happened to be saved from death... Now it seems that he’s stuck babysitting you because Kafka said, “Spend some time together, big brother. Be a dear and take care of her." Oh, how annoying it is to be dealing with a brat, but he grew a soft spot for you without noticing. Since he doesn’t stare at you with cold, dead eyes, which make you scared for your life, he just closes his eyes and looks like he’s sound asleep.
Well, he didn’t mean to scare you; he was just caught at a bad time, while he was losing control of Mara late at night. You couldn’t sleep because of the sound of someone or “something” in pain and just went to check it out? Maybe it would have been if you had stayed where you were.
Having a blade’s cracked sword to your throat with a twisted and malicious grin plastered across his face, tears threatening to fall from the corners of your eyes, “Scared?” that word was the thing to snap and hot tears to descend..if it weren’t for Kafka stepping in. You know he would have killed you. Those eyes were of someone who wouldn’t have shown you any mercy.
𝒥𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒴𝓊𝒶𝓃
Ah, when you are an unwanted child, how cruel could the universe be to you? Left all alone to be thrown after you’ve been used and messed up for life, what shall anyone do? If no one will take you in, then Jing Yuan will. It wouldn’t hurt if he had yanqing and his mimi. What will a child do wrong?
Ah, he completely forgot about the living cost, but you won’t be much since he has Mimi and she eats quite a lot. You, on the other hand, not really. What has he done about that? Oh! Why not go to a festival together? There's no need to be afraid; you wouldn't be a bother at all.
He comforts you a lot whenever you feel down; how does he know? Oh, come on, child, he’s the general, not some fool, since what kind of general (and father) would not be able to read emotions?
𝒲𝑒𝓁𝓉 𝓎𝒶𝓃𝑔
Again, it was March who found you. He’s going to take care of you. No one is qualified enough to take care of you because half of them can't even take care of themselves. He brings you books and snacks whenever he comes back on his mission, and you get your own room since you can’t sleep at night around other people.
He worries about you even when Himeko tells him not to since you're all grown up now, but to him, you’ll always be his kid, no matter how many years pass and how many grey hairs he grows.

Here for You ~ *Guinaifen*
Tumblr media
Summary: One of Guinaifen's guests for her livestream canceled. She needs a new person to fill in. Perhaps her significant other can make an appearance?
Pairing: Guinaifen X G/N!Reader
Genre: Fluffy Drabble
Word Count: 683
Warning: N/A
Masterlist
"And we're clear! Good job everyone!" Guinaifen cheered as the livestream ended.
The motley crew of staff that helped with the stream gave a smattering of applause before cleaning up and clearing out of the area. While Guinaifen was known for doing spontaneous street side livestreams, once a week she'd do something of higher production. It was your job to help her coordinate everything for the show, from staff to guests to equipment. As her significant other, it was your pleasure to assist her in any way she needed.
"That was a great show!" She gushed as you made your way over to her with some water. "It just makes me more pumped for next week's special show!"
You winced as you bit your lip. "Yeah... about that... We're going to have to change our plans."
Guinaifen raised her eyebrow at your words. "Why?"
"Our guest canceled at the last minute."
"WHAT?!" She shrieked. "Why?"
"She got very sick and needs to be quarantined." You sigh. "I'm sorry. I know you've been wanting to interview her for forever. But I've been working for hours to try and find a replacement. Unfortunately, I haven't found anyone who is available."
She pursed her lips before asking, "What about Qingque?"
You shook your head. "Mahjong tournament."
"Sushang?"
"She's sparring with Yanqing all day."
"So that knocks him out of contention as well." She bit her bottom lip before asking, "Yukong?"
Again, you shake your head, a grave look on your face. "She'll never agree. She's still mad at you for that ambush interview a few months ago."
Guinaifen groaned. "I'm sorry but how could I not try to learn the real reason she left the Sky Fleet? I needed that juicy bit of information first before another person released it."
"Some people want to keep their true motivation a secret. And we need to respect that." You lightly scold her. You glance down at the potential guests on the clipboard in your hand. You let out a sigh. "You can't ask Jing Yuan again."
She solemnly nods. "As much as I love working with him, he's been on the show too many times." She then let out a dramatic groan, flinging her hands in the air. "That's it! We've reached a dead end! Who else can we put on the air?"
It only took a moment before a thought you never had before entered your mind. "Well, there is one person we haven't tried..."
She perked up. "Really? Who? Tell me!"
"Me." Before she could protest, you continued, "Look, I know we've both been wary about sharing our relationship to your followers, but I'm ready. I am ready to tell the entire universe how much I love you. Please, would you at least consider it?"
Guinaifen stared at you for a moment, and you could see the gears turning in her head. As she continued to think, you watched as her cheeks began to turn bright scarlet. She pressed a hand to her cheek, as if that would hide her blush.
"You really want to?"
You nod and gently take both of her hands in yours. "I really do. I love you, Guinaifen. I want everyone to know how much I truly care and adore you."
With glossy eyes, she nodded before pulling you into a hug. "Yes, okay. Next week, we'll tell everyone. We'll make it a big special production because you, my treasure, are worth all the effort. I love you so much!"
After hours culminating into days of planning and preparations, the day of the big livestream arrived. You had been helping get everything set up as Guinaifen went over what she was going to say for the millionth time. When you had a moment for yourself, you smoothed out your outfit specially picked out for today. You then took her hand, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
"You got this." You assure her. "We both do."
She nods before turning to the camera.
The lights turned on.
The livestream began.
It was showtime!
"Hey everyone! I have a big announcement to make!"

He really didn't want to do it. But fine. His hand has been forced. Yanqing would fall too. So every sword was removed, placed away in a near by spot for the youth to get them. Well after he sees that his sword cases and such had been replaced Unlimited edition Sparkle dolls.
Sampo received them after her trip to Penacony. So he has to get rid of them somehow. Each case was filled to the brim with little dolls with recordings. Her adorable irritating voice could be heard speaking to whoever managed to hold them. In a rude, arrogant tone.
Why so serious?
You sure you want to do that junior?
My grandmother can swing a sword better than you.
@maskednihilism || the prank war reached Yanqing
Tumblr media
Breath in... breathe out.... In... and out....
Yanqing tried to calm down the surge of rage and anxiety that currently filled every cell in his young body. This was clearly Sampo's work. The thief had touched his swords and filled the display cases with some kind of doll. The doll itself was no problem, even if annoying. No, it was the moving of the sword, the touching of his most precious items. The destruction of his meticulously organised display and care of them.
It's unusual to make Yanqing angry. He's generally happy or calm, but this... This brought forth rage. If the man had been there in the room, he would've attacked him without hesitation.
Breathe in... breathe out....
"Sampo Koski, you will regret this. I will throw you into the Shackling Prison, in a cell that you can never escape."
Jing Yuan would, of course, make sure that didn't happen, but Sampo most likely grossly underestimated the attachment Yanqing had to his swords and made a grave mistake using them for a prank.

Fictober Day 17
Prompt 17:   "I never said it would be easy."
Fandom: Honkai Star Rail
Rating: PG
Warning: None
Busy as they were, simply cuddling in bed was an occurrence that didn't happen as much as Stelle would have liked. She enjoyed the feeling of Jing Yuan's arms wrapped around her, his even breaths ruffling her hair. The feeling of security his hold gave her was something she still didn't have words for but wouldn't give up for anything.
Light fingers gently traced across his bare chest, the trailblazer content to mindlessly memorize the feel of his skin and muscles as he dozed. His low chuckle caused her to look up, thought returning as she noted his sleepy eyes were open again and watching her. Despite the surprise at finding him awake after all she couldn't help but smile at him. He usually could coax those out of her simply by being himself.
"Enjoying yourself?" Jing Yuan rumbled softly, his hold on her unwavering.
"I thought you were asleep." Came the equally soft answer.
"Not yet." Another chuckle. "You do, however, easily wear me out. I should ask you to take it easy on an old man."
She shook her head slightly, the laughter sparkling in her eyes rather than making it out from her lips. "You were called the Dozing General long before I came to the Luofu."
His good natured sigh warmed the skin of her forehead before his lips replaced it. For all his military prowess, Stelle had found that he was remarkably gentle with those he cared about. Not for the first time she had to wonder why he had pursued the life of violence that he had all those centuries ago.
"Your friend March had quite the amount of questions for me before dinner tonight." He finally spoke again, lips moving against her forehead.
Stelle couldn't help the breathy giggle this time. "I heard. She just found out about Yanqing." Or rather what the boy was to the General. "She was just looking out for me."
"Yes, I know." That usual lazy smile was on his lips as he watched her. "How much did you overhear?"
"Most of it." Golden eyes met his, teasing mischief glittering in their depths. He was one of the few that got to see the extent of her playful nature behind her mask. "including the one about if you would like Yanqing to have a sibling." Honestly she thought Jing Yuan's answer of being not opposed to it was more to tease March than anything serious.
"Hmm," he hummed in contented agreement. A comfortable silence descended letting her to start to drift, fully expecting her lover to do the same. She didn't expect him to speak up again. "Have you ever considered it?"
"Considered what?" She yawned, blinking open her eyes again.
"You and I having a child together."
The brought her out of her sleepy haze, gazing into his face and trying to determine if he was teasing her as he had March. In that sleepy expression she couldn't read anything, truth or jokes. "No." Finally giving up she chose to answer him instead. "...it never crossed my mind." Why should it? She was still trying to learn to be human and her relationship with Jing Yuan was part of that experience.
His fingers trailed up her spine before pulling her a bit closer to him until she was close enough to hear his heart beat next to her ear. A reassuring sound for a woman who dealt so often in death. "Maybe one day soon you can think about it." He yawned.
A frown creased her forehead. "Jing Yuan...you know what I am." An artificial body created by the Stellaron Hunters, vessel to one of the cancers of all worlds, and chosen of two Aeons. "It could be impossible for me to get pregnant." Not to mention she didn't even know if they were compatible enough to actually produce a child even if it turned out she was capable. Could Xianzhou humans breed successfully with other short lived humans?
"It could be." He agreed affably. "It would be fun to try at least." He was definitely teasing her now. "Don't you agree?"
She sighed. "Yes." She bit her lip considering the idea a bit more. "How would it even work? You're here on the Luofu, unable to leave and I am one of the Nameless." Stelle knew she couldn't abandon the path of the Trailblazer as well as she knew her own name. "Any child would be without one parent all the time." Even as ignorant of human behavior as she sometimes was, she knew that was no life for a child.
His hold on her tightened possessively for a moment or two before it loosened enough so her ribs no longer creaked under the pressure. "I never said it would be easy, love. If it ever happens, we'll figure something out."
Stelle leaned again into his embrace with another soft sigh. "I'll think about it."
His lips met hers in one of the gentle kisses that she could never get enough of. "That's all I can ask."

Hello! I just recently found your blog AND I LOVE EVERY POST. Absolutely adore them!
Headcanon about Yingxing's little mental breakdown in that post about Yingxing's parenting:
He tried to dismiss his breakdown saying that "it's stupid anyways"—like he's trying to defend the remaining of his ego or smth lol.
I can imagine that after Jing Yuan and Dan Feng coax him they are teasing the hell out of him for Yingxing's breakdown. But it's light-hearted ofc—
Sorry for brainrotting lol-
Hi! Aw, thank you so much!!! I really enjoy writing them!
No need to apologize I love reading people's brainrot and headcanons.
He absolutely would try to dismiss it. He's sulking the whole day at the Artisanship Commission and people start to notice and ask him what's wrong, to which he responds with "Nothing's wrong, mind your own business." Naturally, word gets around that the Furnace Master is in a bad mood so people start to leave him alone for the day. Just when he's feeling better, he sees the new Artisan whose work Yanqing is enamored with, and his mood is ruined all over again.
He goes to bed that night but instead of chatting with his husbands before calling it a day, he's just sitting in bed with his sketchbook out and going through all the weapons he's designed to see what he can improve on. Trying to find the slightest thing that could possibly sway his son's attention toward him again
*************
Jing Yuan and Dan Feng kept exchanging glances at their husband's behavior. Word had gotten to them of his somber mood in the beginning and it seemed to have only gotten worse at dinner. They did not want to bring attention to it in front of Yanqing, instead hoping they would receive a response when they were in the privacy of their own room.
However, Yingxing had curled himself on the bed, papers, and sketchbooks strewn around him. He kept muttering "Could the design on this be fixed?" "No, this is the most efficient and stable it can get at the moment." His hands started getting shakier and shakier and Jing Yuan could start to see tears start to form in his husband's eyes.
Jing Yuan reached and gently touched his husband's shoulder. "My star? Is everything all right?"
Yingxing did not look up, instead opting to shove the General away before quickly wiping his eyes. "I'm fine. Nothing's wrong."
"My love, we know that's not true. Come on, tell us what's wrong." Dan Feng reached over, trying to collect the books and papers scattered on the bed.
"Nothing. I said I'm fine."
"Does it have something to do with Yanqing's new dagger?" Jing Yuan inquired.
Yingxing whipped his head around, his eyes angry and bloodshot and tears streaming down his face. "Well if you already know, why did you ask? Do you just enjoy digging the knife into my back?"
Both of them sat there shocked, never seeing such a violent outburst from their lover. Yingxing slammed his face into the pillow before full-on sobbing.
"I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean anything by it. Yanqing's just a child and children love new things. He doesn't mean any harm." Jing Yuan rubbed circles into Yingxing's back, not unlike what he does with Yanqing when he's crying.
"Yes, he's still carrying your swords. I don't think he'll ever replace his main sword with anything else but one you crafted." Dan Feng gently coaxed him to turn over lest he drown/suffocate himself in a tear-soaked pillow.
"But what if this is just the beginning. It's a dagger now but soon he will replace his other weapons too? They aren't even as good as mine. What if they break or malfunction in battle? What will happen to him?"
Dan Feng reached over to cup his husband's face in his hands. "Yanqing loves you and he loves your swords. He constantly blows his allowance to get the ones you've made in the past. Swords will always be yours and Yanqing's thing. This is simply him trying something new."
"Dan Feng's right. Yanqing will return to using your daggers in a week or so. How can those new daggers possibly compare to the ones you crafted specifically for him?" Jing Yuan chimed in.
Yingxing's tears had started to dry up and he sat up again, bringing his knees to his chest and hugging it.
"Pfft!" Jing Yuan bursts into peals of laughter.
"Jing Yuan!"
"I can't help it! Yingxing looked so funny! I've never seen him so distressed before!"
"Hey! You brat! At least show me some respect, I'm grieving here." Yingxing retaliated by smacking Jing Yuan on the arm. "Besides, you're one to talk. Weren't you upset by Mimi preferring Yanqing to you?"
"Yeah, but that's old news. Mimi's also shown more preference for Yanqing than anyone one. Besides, I've never sobbed into a pillow about it."
Dan Feng poked him in his ribs, causing him to curl up. "Yeah, who knows. Maybe Yanqing will start to prefer other artisans to repair his weapons as well."
Yingxing scooted towards Jing Yuan in order to escape Dan Feng's prodding. "Don't even joke about that. Besides, I'm the only one skilled enough to repair such a weapon. Anyone else would simply damage it."
Jing Yuan laughed before wrapping his arms around Yingxing's waist and Yingxing the side of his temple. "Where'd that sad, teary-eyed old man go?"
"I'll have you know that was a moment of weakness and I am not old. You're only 7 years apart from me. If anyone is old, it's Dan Feng."
"Nonsense," the High Elder said as he flipped back his long black hair. "I'm too beautiful to be called old. Besides, I would never cry over a silly thing to start with.
Yingxing's lips curled into a smirk. "Now, I know you're lying. You cried when Yanqing refused to continue learning the spear once he was good enough at it."
"I DID- OW!" Before Dan Feng could protest, Yingxing jabbed him in the chest as payback.
***********
I hope you like it. I really enjoyed writing it.:)
Please feel free to send me more asks, I really enjoy responding to them. You're also free to message me, I love talking to new people.

Edit 28/07/23
I meant to correct this earlier, but no he does not, in fact, have his memories back. Not really. Only certain things pertaining to the sealing of the Ambrosial Arbor seemed to have returned to him… though he did seem to somewhat remember some things from his time as Imbibitor Lunae when seeing all of those Vidyadhara Mirage Echos. I’m not really sure.
Also, there's that whole thing we learned in the side quest "Poetic Genius Ingenium", which I only started and completed recently.
There is apparently a potion that allows a Vidyadhara to remember their past life. But we aren't sure under what circumstances that it works, how it works, how it's made, or if it is a rare commodity.
I wonder if this means that Dan Heng would be capable of regaining his memories from being Imbibitor Lunae and if he would even want that.
There's also the fact that he didn't actually die. He only regressed. In the game, they talk about how they gave him a drug of some sort or something like that (I'm hazy on the details) that de-aged him. So he never died nor had a true rebirth. Blade even says this in the scene before the fight between him, Dan Heng, and Yanqing in 1.2. "You didn't even experience death."
It is something akin to molting with the way they talk about it. Which is interesting because he also shed his memories with this process. I like symbolism, hehehehe-
Jing Yuan says that it was an "exuviation" charm. Which- To exuviate is to shed or "cast off".
What's even more interesting about all this is that... Dan Heng is technically still Dan Feng, I think. Based on all this, I think that he could be considered a de-aged/regressed Dan Feng. I'm not really sure. But maybe.
Then again- If one considers the loss of memory, which is essentially the main thing that the cycle of rebirth for Vidyadhara's does besides repairing the body (as the game says), a "death"... Then yes. Dan Heng could be considered a different person entirely. This is a bit of a slippery slope because it gets into the concept of self and identity. Which I ABSOLUTELY love. And I love that I can talk about it in my favorite game so far.
What is it that makes a person who they are? Is it their soul? Their memories? Their body? Their personality?
If I took away your memories but kept your body intact, are you the same person?
One thought experiement I like to bring up every time I discuss this is the Ship of Theseus. The basics of this concept are:
If I slowly replace every part of the ship, board by board and plank by plank, until the entire ship has been redone... Is it the same ship? Even if the new and the old were the same... Can you say this is still the Ship of Theseus?
I think the answer to question really depends on who you ask, whether it is because of personal belief, religion, teachings, or other things. Some will say that it is the same person because their soul is the same. Some will say that it is not the same person because the memories that made them are gone. Some will say that it is but isn't.
Edit 30/07/23
I also forgot to say that I had at some point re-evaluated the idea about the whole Scion of Permanence thing having something to do with whatever Dan Heng did to make Blade immortal. I think it may have had something to do with the Abundance. From what’s rumored, he may have been a short life species. This is where my predictions and theories get muddled because I have yet to do more research on this part, but it does make sense to me.
If this is true, the only way the mara could have gotten into his body is if Dan Heng did that when he revived him or whatever it is he did. It would make sense if this was the case because of that but also because it would most certainly be a crime on the Xianzhou. Embracing the Abundance, even if for this reason (I don’t know if I saw this somewhere or not but I think I did).
HSR Theories pt. 1
This post is more for me than anything else.
Because I need to write these down so I can keep track of my current theories.
I'm SUPER into HSR theory crafting and lore.
So if you are also into that, then have a peek at this, I suppose. Fair warning- It's going to be a bit all over the place.
I'll be adding stuff later, because I don't have the energy to right now.
Theories under the cut for spoilers. Like- MAJOR spoilers.
Blade, Dan Heng, and Jing Yuan
So these are theories I've had for weeks, now. And I was correct about Blade being immortal and seeking his own end, so that's already a win.
From what I understand, Blade, Dan Heng, Jing Yuan, and Jingliu are four of the five members of the High-Cloud Quintet.
All four of them wear a red ribbon. Likely to symbolize the bond they once shared. Jing Yuan's is in his hair. Dan Heng's is on his spear, Cloud Piercer. Jingliu and Blade's are on the back of their clothes. I wonder if those two share the spot they put their ribbons for a reason...
It's somewhat sad, because just like in Jing Yuan's voiceline "About Self" he and the rest of the High-Cloud Quintet all walk very different paths now. "My past enemies are either dead or captured, and my past friends are scattered to the winds..." Jing Yuan is an Arbiter-General of the Xianzhou Alliance who must uphold his duty, Blade is a Stellaron Hunter who is wanted dead or alive by the IPC, and Dan Heng is running from a past he doesn’t remember as a Nameless of the Astral Express. Jingliu is... well? She's alive, as we've seen in Yanqing's companion mission. But we aren't really sure what she's been doing all this time or how she's alive. Just that she's looking for the man who now calls himself "Blade".
I'm almost certain that the three people that Blade talks about is Jingliu, Dan Heng, and himself. Jing Yuan is not one of the choices since Blade has already said himself that "you are not one of them, Jing Yuan." Since Blade, Jing Yuan, Jingliu, Dan Heng, and one other person are all part of the High-Cloud Quintet... Of five people, three must pay the price. The Quintet is a group of five people who were all connected.... quintet, literally meaning five.... It makes a lil too much sense to me... And since Blade is seeking his own end, it makes it more of a possibility.
Also- About five star Dan Heng/Vidyadhara Dan Heng... We already know he's Imbibitor Lunae. Now about the sedition of Imbibitor Lunae. I'm almost certain that Blade's immortality has something to do with Dan Heng.
I think that's why Dan Heng was banished from the Xianzhou Alliance. Something to do with breaking a law among the Vidyadhara that has to do with the mara struck, perhaps. Because in the 1.2 livestream, they confirmed that Blade has mara in him and that it flares up and Kafka is able to use her ability to keep it at bay.
Remember that one of the quest NPCs we see a lot for Luofu quests said that the Vidyadhara have different rules than them. But Imbibitor Lunae was the High Elder of the Vidyadhara and the Luofu. But laws and whatnot with the mara struck have to have worse consequences...
I also think that Dan Heng had a cycle of rebirth (or whatever the Vidyadhara call it) while imprisoned before being sent away. Based on some of the things he's said in the story AND based on Dan Heng's voice line "About Self: Past". "I come from an alliance, and was born on a gran and beautiful ship that I barely had the chance to see... I can never return."
"barely had the chance to see", huh?
AND in the new version trailer, we hear Jing Yuan ask, probably Dan Heng, "Has coming here triggered your memory?"
We already know that with the Vidyadhara, when they have a cycle of rebirth and return to being an egg to hatch into their new self... They no longer have the memories of the previous cycle.
"The power to turn into dragons was a rare inheritance passed down only to those who could successfully complete numerous rites. A long-lived species, Vidyadhara molt after living for centuries, repairing their bodies then hatching anew from eggs with their memories wiped. They are unable to have offspring."
Only certain Vidyadhara will have the appearance of a dragon with the horns and tail, according to what Dan Heng himself said. And they would have the chance to be the Vidyadhara High Elder, from what I remember.
For the Vidyadhara, each cycle of rebirth might as well be an entirely new life.
While they are the same person at their core, all of the memories that shaped them have been erased.
Like a slate wiped clean.
We already know he no longer has any memory of his past as Imbibitor Lunae. But I think that with Dan Heng once again obtaining his old Vidyadhara form, he'll be getting back his memories. It seemed like it in the leaks and based on what we saw in the version trailer.
That's all I can remember theorizing, but I'm sure I wrote down more elsewhere. So I'll edit this later if I remember more of what I'd thought about.
Edit 15/07/23
You know how I said that I think Dan Heng has something to do with Blade becoming immortal and it's likely also the reason he was banished from the Xianzhou Alliance? Maybe those things have something to do with the fact that the Vidyadhara are known as Long's Scions. As in Long, the Aeon of Permanence. And Dan Heng was the High Elder of the Luofu and the Vidyadhara, meaning he'd passed the trials that the Vidyadhara must pass in order to have the blessings of their kind, includnig the features of a dragon. Maybe that has something to do with Blade becoming immortal? Dan Heng being a one of the strongest beings who were descended from the Aeon of Permanence?
Edit 28/07/23

Jing Yuan was unbelievably happy to hear that you were pregnant with his child. It was like a dream come true and he was so excited to have a new addition in the family soon. He spoiled you with gifts and affection, before practically announcing it proudly to everyone that could listen. Soon enough all generals and important people of the Xianzhou alliance were informed and happy to hear the good news.
But that left you with only Yanqing to tell, who until then, was blissfully unaware of the approaching doom that was Jing Yuan, who had agreed to tell him about the news himself. You were too worried of what his reaction would be, as you didn't want him to think that you were replacing him. And so, your dear, perfect husband took it upon himself to tell him, since no one could do it better than him, the man who raised Yanqing since he was a boy.
Now, if you weren't so happy and swooning over your husband's act of bravery, you would've maybe noticed the evil grin on his lips, as he went on his way to tell the poor unsuspecting boy the great news. Finding Yanqing was relatively easy, as he was calmly resting at a bridge near the training grounds, after a long day of refining his skills.
He greeted Jing Yuan like he usually did, but stopped himself, when he saw that grin. He immideatly knew that whatever came next would be life altering. And so, he slowly turned his head to stare off into the distance, whilst his mentor made himself comfortable next to him. It took Jing Yuan a moment to get to the point, but when he did, the silence that followed was absolutely deafening.
The older man turned his head to the boy, just to receive the biggest side eye in all of history. To say that Yanqing was not amused, would be an understatement. Sure, he was extremely happy and excited to finally have a sibling... but he knew that he'd never find peace again with the older man now. And he certainly didn't want to admit to defeat either.
Yanqing asked him if he was serious and when Jing Yuan confirmed it, the boy simply hummed and took off his swords, before neatly placing them against the bridge. And then, he unceremoniously swung his leg over the railing and attempted to just jump off the bridge out of spite.
First he took away his mother, then his allowance and now he dared to be smug? Yeah, Yanqing will see to it, that he stops playing with him like that. Jing Yuan let out a yell of surprise, as he grabbed onto the boy's collar and stopped him, as he flailed around and tried to escape.
Meanwhile, you happily clasped your hands together and smiled in awe at the sight of them "bonding" over the great news from where you were hiding. It seems like Yanqing can't wait to be a big brother to his new sibling!

YQ's Mother Requestor Anon here! I'm now gonna cackle bc the era of YQ angst is over and its time for his Villain! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
So, in the au "Jing Yuan executes his wife/Yanqing's mom wrongly" but let's make it even more worse with his son turning against him, very much angry and absolutely wanting to be the guy to end Jing Yuan. He betrays the entire Alliance and doesn't even care if he became a major criminal, because Yanqing now believes the Alliance is merely a glorified legion of murder worst than the Anti-Matter Legion (At least the Legion accepts their wrongdoings in a twisted way than to regale it as justice like the Hunt/Xianzhou Alliance).
He doesn't even join the Abundance, the Stellaron Hunters, etc. because he lacks the will that aligns with the Aeons opposing the Hunt/Xianzhou yet would not stay in the Hunt Path no longer, maybe he'll follow the Nihility or Finality?
Anyways, thanks for reading in my request and I look forward to whatever you bring!
[Ps: Bonus if the last straw was losing someone he loved bc of the Hunt/Xianzhou Alliance and making him question if the Alliance is truly the ones that bring justice, like Dan Shu and Yukong]

Yanqing's life fell apart the moment he found out about the truth.
It were like the cold, unforgiving waves of the ocean crashing against a shore in a wild storm, drowning him in it with no way out. He reached out for help, yet all he got was pitied looks and empty apologies for what was the most heartbreaking revelation of his life. He cried and screamed, his body thrashing aorund in the hold of the cloud knights, his hands gripping onto his sword, his teeth barring at what was once his beloved master. He was reduced to nothing but a hateful memory now in the young boy's mind, all admiration and love gone in an instant and replaced with an unquenchable thirst for revenge.
"How could you? How could you betray me like this?" He screamed, but there was no explanation nor apology that would ever make this okay. Nothing in this world could fix this. And perhaps Jing Yuan knew this, when he turned aorund and began walking away quietly. He was a coward, who couldn't face his son's disappointment even when faced with the consequences of his actions. "HOW DARE YOU WALK AWAY, DAMNIT? AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! I LOOKED UP TO YOU, YOU LIAR!" The boy screamed, his throat burning and failing him, his voice cracking so painfully, that it made the older man wince in shame. He knew this would happen, he knew the truth would tear him apart. But ultimately, he could never imagine how bad this truly would be. He was ignorant and it made him wonder what he expected would happen.
JIng Yuan came to a stop momentarily, his eyes focused ahead to blend out the pain in his heart, as he slaughtered the last of his emotions with a single sentence. "Take him away to cool off." Yanqing's eyes widened at his words, his body going limp in defeat and surprise, yet the rage in him said more than he needed to.
This wasn't over.
But Yanqing waited. He would be patient with getting his revenge. He'd plan every detail, he'd wait for the right moment to enact the perfect betrayal. He dug deep, learning all about the way his mother was wrongfully excecuted by his own father, who decided to just never even mention him being his biological child to him either. Yanqing just couldn't comprehend why the general would do this to him. And it wasn't just about his mother's excecution. All the lies about his heritage, all the lies about who he was, his mother discarded as nothing more than an unimportant memory alongside her entire clan.
Forgotten by all, except for her son, who eventually couldn't wait anymore, after he lost the only person who kept him sane. You, the light of his world, that comforted him when no one else wanted to. They let you die. You weren't worth saving in their eyes and that was what made him finally break.
The darkness was turning him into a ball of hatred and rage, he wasn't the same cheerful boy he once was. The change hurt him in more ways than one, but he decided to just drown that old part of himself and push forward with his plans. He wanted no help. He wante to do it all on his own, destroy everyone on the ship with his own hands, until they finally understand how he felt. He made a pact with the Aeon of Nihility and gained the power needed to truly enact his plans of betrayal.
His hair whipped in the wind, his face devoid of any emotions, as he stared down at the dishevelled general, who was clutching on his bleeding side uselessly. The Xianzhou Luofu was up in flames, citizens and guards running aorund in panic to get away from the destruction, their screams music to the too far gone boy. Once father and son, now nothing but enemies, the two brandished their swords in preparation of a fight Jing Yuan never wanted and Yanqing was itching for.
The boy could only hope that you and his mother were watching him, as a smile spread across his face in glee of it all finally coming to an end, when the older man's sword clattered to the ground with him following it soon after in defeat.
