Son Kihoon, at 20 years old, met his soulmate because of an accident. A wrong turn down a street during a grocery run led him straight to Jinwoo, or at least to Jinwoo's apartment building. Kihoon, now lost, hoped to find someone to get directions from.

Instead, he felt a tug on his left hand and found a 18 year old civilian at the end of his string. He is invited inside by an excited Jinah and an amused Park Kyung-Hye.

Jinwoo was cautious around Kihoon at first. He was worried about his mother being around a hunter, especially as high ranking as Kihoon. However, his other half blended into his family quickly. Kihoon was over nearly every weekend, Kyung-Hye made it clear she wanted him around, and Jinah was happy to have someone to help tease Jinwoo.

When Kihoon is asked to join the Hunter's Guild, the Sung family celebrates with him and his parents.

When Park Kyung-Hye falls to eternal slumber, Kihoon and Jinwoo fight. Jinwoo has awakened as an E-rank hunter and believes he has to shoulder everything. Kihoon wants to help the Sung family as much as he can. They were his as much as he was their's and he wanted to take care of them.

(Part of the fight is Jinwoo thinking his rank will drag Kihoon's reputation through the mud. He doesn't want to jeopardize Kihoon's future. Kihoon is, rightfully so, pissed when he hears this. He doesn't care what rank Jinwoo is nor what other people think. It takes a couple of days, and Jinah actually siding with her brother, for Kihoon to agree to keep quiet(with a handful of conditions).)

Jinwoo and Kihoon get married, with Mrs. Park's blessing, six months later. The records are sealed, and Kihoon is able to help with medical bills and chores around the house. (He tries his best to keep his family happy and safe. He promised his mother-in-law that he would watch out for Jinwoo and Jinah, and he would keep it to the best of his abilities. Jinwoo isn't the only stubborn one in the household.)

a simple day of finding himself not having to be woken up by the sound of his phone buzzing at daybreak is a rarity itself— waking up to haute’s soft whimpers, ray and bei’s purring, the sound of the birds chirping, leaves shuffling in the autumn morning, these are simple, though ephemeral, little pleasures that adequately remind seunghoon of how content he is with his current state. being surrounded by fans who love him for who he genuinely is, being able to do what he truly loves on stage together with his beloved members, these are reminders that kept him going strong despite the taxing schedules each day.

soaking up the morning sunlight that beamed through the curtains, seunghoon gently stretched his limbs in a silent fashion to avoid waking up his roommate. a subtle, contented smile subconsciously crept on his lips as he glanced over to his side, where jinwoo was sleeping soundly, his knees close to his chest, almost as if he is free from all the troubles in the world when he is in his cocoon, a safe haven. the younger one finds himself always intrigued and drawn in by jinwoo’s features, never getting sick of seeing his face despite being by his side almost 24/7. jinwoo’s soft, placid expression when he’s asleep has got to be one that makes the younger’s heart race the most, coupled with his musky, vanilla scent that was an olfactory manifestation of what home is. he finds himself scooting closer to him under the blankets, his fingertips gently grazing the tip of jinwoo’s nose, then down to his velvety lips, almost as if seunghoon is spellbound.

seunghoon’s minute of marvel and musings were cut short when the tranquil atmosphere is interrupted with a loud grunt, and it was that instance when jinwoo’s eyelid gently fluttered, their irises only a few centimetres apart. flinching, seunghoon hastily jerked away from the older as he extended his legs out, gibberish spilling from the lips that he had just admired, as if he is speaking to an unknown entity. a sign of being half-awake, seunghoon retreated back into his space of sleep, in hopes of the older not remembering nor registering the close proximity between them just a few seconds ago. at this point when jinwoo reached for his phone to check the time, seunghoon instinctively knew jinwoo was aware of what was going on, and he can’t help but to feel as if he’s caught red-handed over something that he shouldn’t have done. seunghoon took this chance to lie back down on his back, his eyes shifting around and away from jinwoo, feeling slightly embarrassed. “i—” before seunghoon could redeem himself, jinwoo swiftly placed his arms above seunghoon’s pillow, gently chuckling before murmuring into his ears, “am i really that handsome?” the older’s blunt remark evidently did not make things better, as seunghoon spiralled into a state of bashfulness as his cheeks grew warmer and warmer, realising that his face was just a few inches away.

“i-i heard you talking in your sleep, that’s w-why i inching to listen to whatever you were saying,” jinwoo couldn’t help but to chuckle once more at how flustered the younger one is, before wrapping his arms around his torso.

“look at how cute you are right now,” he squeezed his arms tighter around him as he nuzzles his face into his chest, their legs tangling around each other’s.

“and, you smell really nice, just saying,” seunghoon felt a sense of relief when jinwoo reciprocated with an embrace, as he shyly admitted before shutting his eyes gently, drifting off to another slumber with the one that he adores in his arms.
