A man visits his Rabbi
One day, a Jewish man visits his rabbi, with a worried look on his face.
"Rabbi Moishe, I've got quite a problem. It's my son, see. He went to Jerusalem to make pilgramage to the Wailing Wall, but when he came back, he'd become a Christian! I tried to ask him why he converted, but he didn't give me a straight answer. How on earth do you think that happened?"
The other Rabbi clicks his tongue in disbelief. "I wish I could give you a good answer, but to tell you the truth, the exact same thing happened to me! My son wanted to follow in my footsteps, went to Jerusalem for a theological study trip, and came back a Christian. I just don't know how it happened!"
Since they were at an impasse, the two men decided to pray to God and seek his aid with their problem.
"Oh graceful Elohim, we seek your counsel! We both sent our sons out to Jerusalem, but one way or another, they ended up Christian! How did this happen, oh Lord?"
There's a few seconds of silence, before a great sigh comes from above, and a divine voice booms back to them.
"Guys, you won't believe what happened to my son..."

ikik it is unlike me to post abt szuch personal details but in retrospect its so funny how when tgey found out abt my erm unusual proclivities my atheist, lifelong antizionist, ethnically jewish dad & my autistic godfearing orthodox christian mon decided to go on a pilgrimage to the holy land to "knock on tge door of evry synagogue in jerusalem & pray at da wailing wall for their child 2b fixed" & within 4 days of them getting there my mom texted me like "weve seen szo many pride flags in tel aviv i keep thinking of u, ppl actually accept this lgbt shit in other parts of the world. if u decide to continue in this lifestyle, u shld study hard and get a good job so that society will have to accept you
#in tge tags bc it doesnt fit w the tone of the post but tgey also obviously witnessed apartheid 1st hand in there for ex when they went 2#bethlehem all the arabs in the city were on strike to protest bc the idf had killed a palestinian boy tge previous day#& my dad was already wrecked by guilt bc he went there w/o telling any of his very antizionist jewish blood relatives#so seeing it kinds broke him & over time he ended up accepting me 2 bc he started believing taht him going to israel is#infinitely worse morally than wjat ive done lmao
