I’m in a “kid friendly” production of Be More Chill and one of the line changes is going from “what did we say about masturbating?” to “what did we say about watching movies?” (In reference to the More Than Survive change from porno to movie)

and I like to imagine that means that Jeremy’s movie taste is so horrific and god-awful that even his Squip is extremely disappointed and believes that they’re just THAT uncool.

I answered this in the previous ask, but it was probably Barbie in the Nutcracker.. or Barbie as Rapunzel! I was around 5 when I started watching the movies, and these 2 are the only ones I owned on VHS (instead of DVD).

🌈 Any lgbt+ headcanons?

Ohhhh I headcanon a lot of characters as aroace, gay, trans, or genderqueer, and I could probably list off a few, but I'll just focus on one of my favorite headcanons, which is queerplatonic Liana and Alexa from Diamond Castle. I also see them as lesbian and bi respectively, especially in the scene where Melody is claiming that Jeremy and Ian were really cute, and Liana smirks a bit going "too cute for their own good," which I take as her just trying to add something, since she can't really agree. This girl doesn't know what it's like to be attracted to men. I love her.

💫 Any other headcanons?

Hmm... I'm trying to think of one that I consider canon, but isn't actually.. I like to think that Brietta was always watching Annika from afar for all the years she was growing up, hoping to protect her, and wishing she could properly meet her. I also like the headcanon that Brietta always wanted to learn to ice skate while watching Annika, but she couldn't even try while she was a pegasus. So Annika teaches her post-movie :3

💅 Unpopular Barbie movie opinion?

I don't know how unpopular this movie is, but Barbie and Her Sisters in a Pony Tale deserves some more love imo. I rewatched it recently. I adore those character models, and I'm so sad that they only appear in this movie. Even though the story is very generic, the characters have a lot of personality and love put into them. The characters' actions feel believable most of the time. The music is nice, animation is nice. It's also just a fun watch in general!

🪆Do you have any Barbie dolls?

Sadly, no. I used to though! I had the Barbie from Nutcracker with Kelly and the spinning stage, a cheap Odette, an Annika with the Wand, Shiver, Aidan, Rose and Lilac on their pegasi, Anneliese, Elina, Dandelion, and Dahlia, and Liana off the top of my head. They're all gone now... just one of those things I stopped playing with, so my parents encouraged me to get rid of them.

💕 Favorite pairing? (Canon or not)

OOF this is tough.. It's hard to think of an all-time favorite, but I really like seeing Dandelion and Elina together! I admire their closeness and having each others' back, even if Dandelion doesn't get as big a role in the 2 sequel movies. Dandelion sticks with Elina through thick and thin, and Elina's care for Dandelion is so tender. She does all she can to keep Dandelion safe, even when she's being stubborn and trying to push her limits for Elina's sake. Their relationship is just so genuine to me. Idk tee hee <3

Favorite character:

This is REALLY tough to answer bc it changes all the time, honestly... I think, strictly in terms of canon and not any headcanons I’ve tacked on, it’s Elina. She goes thru so much and I love her journey as an accidental/reluctant hero. If I include headcanons, then it’s Chelsea. (I’ve got big plans for her.)

Least Favorite character:

TIKA. I don’t care that she’s a baby! She sucks!

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):

This is also something that changes a lot but as of right now (aka the ones I’ve thought about recently):

Character I find most attractive:

Ok not to be embarrassing but watching the new season of BDA:GTR I found myself thinking ‘wow, Margaret is a milf’ so I mean. Her. (I hate her normal outfit, I think it’s ugly, so I think that’s why this only just hit me. I loved her pink space jammies tho!)

Character I would marry:

I think the only age-appropriate characters for me are like. The parents of any characters. So I think if I had to pick any of them (and not Margaret bc I’m not a homewrecker), I guess Mr. Pennington? He seems to really care about his daughter, and I already love her too, so... I guess I’m Tara’s stepmom now.

Character I would be best friends with:

Morton Rise is literally SO weird so it would probably be obnoxious actually, but I find him so delightful I’d love to at least try to be his friend. He’d tell me about being a time traveler and ghost hunter, I’d tell him about my psychic powers, we’d have a great ol’ time.

A random thought:

I’ve wondered since yesterday if Barbie and Ken will finally get together in Princess Adventure, bc that would be a Big thing that might suit a movie better than a show episode. But I’m also trying to not get my hopes up for that.

An unpopular opinion:

It really depends on who you talk to lmao. But I guess one generally unpopular one is that I don’t ship some popular femslash but like, whatever, die mad about it. I have my reasons and I also literally don’t care what anyone else thinks. I’m here to do my own thing and I always have been.

My Canon OTP:

Barbie/Ken, obviously. He went to the other side of the world to be with her, and she went into a magical world to rescue him!  And now in BDA, they’ve got such a great friendship and they really care so much about each other. I wish they’d articulate their damn feelings already but they’re SO meant to be.

My Non-canon OTP:

Merliah/Kylie. They’re a classic rivals to girlfriends pair, and they don’t even have any boys in their movie! Okay, Break is there. But he’s Merliah’s grandpa and obviously not a love interest. Unlike, say, Ian and Jeremy. So I stand by my position that merlylie is way more canon than alexiana.

Most Badass Character:

This is a hard one, bc when I think ‘badass’ I usually think of fighting, and there’s not much fighting going on. However, I think it has to be Annika. She’s the only protagonist (I think) who outright tried to kill the villain. I think about that all the time. Honorary mentions to Princess Alexa (her showdown with Malucia), Kara (a literal superhero) and Major Mint (survived the Great Mouse War).

Most Epic Villain:

I think Malucia. She’s terrifyingly competent for a 10-year-old and brought her whole kingdom to its knees in, what, a week? Laverna take notes.

Pairing I am not a fan of: 

Elina/Nori is the one I’m thinking about lately but there are several I don’t care for.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):

Kristyn Farraday. Her entire arc in the movie is bullshit. I’ve said it before but I will say again, the movie should have either had her deciding that she would rather be a choreographer than a dancer (as her skillset seems to be more making up dances than actually dancing them), OR her realizing that Madame Natasha was right, and she needs to actually follow the steps to be a good dancer. Tara Pennington was also handled very badly, but I think that just follows with Kristyn’s bad writing (the movie goes way out of its way to make Kristyn seem like she’s in the right at all times). Pink Shoes is actually filled with wonderful characters... and we just happen to see them all on the worst entire day of their lives so it seems like they all suck.

Favourite Friendship:

There’s so many I could say but I’m gonna pull one out of left field: Makena and Thumbelina. I love the way Makena comes to realize what’s really important, and how hard she fights to save the Twillerbees at the end. And I like how Thumbelina is just like, cheerful and nice, but also won’t really take any crap. They’re wonderful friends and I wish ppl talked about the movie at all so I could see more ppl appreciate them.

Character I most identify with:

Tori, definitely. Admittedly, this is bc of headcanons (like that she’s acting out bc her mom died and her dad is dating again), but I take it exceptionally personally when ppl criticize Popstar or hate on Tori. (I mean, I do that with all Barbie movies and characters, but especially Tori, since she gets so much unfair hate.)

Character I wish I could be:

See, I’m generally not someone who ever wishes I could be in any fictional universe. And pretty much all the characters are put in dangerous situations at one point or another, so I mean, I’m not about that. Maybe Christie Clauson? I love Christmas, so it seems like it would be fun to be a mysterious innkeeper with a weird uncle who may or may not be Santa.

maria: uses a spear in modern day combat for some fucking reason

topher: wears so many sweatervest because he likes the knit textures but hates being given them as gifts because

success: is actually the least powerful of her family of superhumans, but the only one who ended up a superhero because of some bad luck

mai: deliberately has an obnoxious laugh because she hated her laugh for a long time, then decided to embrace it instead and fuck everyone else if they don’t care for it

slipknot: can tie knots with his teeth or feet if he’s barefoot

kavita: finds starfish inherently funny

mama sharpe: not really a headcanon but one of the weirder plots i had on her for a while was she was trying to make billy turner aka scout into a model because he had one arm and she wanted diversity points

steven: goes through phases of collecting things but then loses interest and goes for something else so he has a lot of medium-to-large but still incomplete collections of various collectables

zeke: struggles with buying cigarettes or buying comic books every wednesday and always caves into the former

ned: hates the concept of cream pies, but makes them anyway

alice: has a huge collection of trash from neighbors which she shrinks so she can transfer the mass to food and stuff

relinquish: uses diplomatic immunity to fly hot air balloons without a license

aya: prefers to address people with more formal terms because she wants to show that she is polite and nice

kita: wears a lot of sunglasses, like he’s trying to hide something about his eyes even though they look 100% normal but he wants to be more ~mysterious~

jocasta: annoyed by humans a lot of the time and doesn’t want to be seen as human because she’s not, but wants to do human things like have a baby

skyler: surprisingly okay with weed, privately, but wouldn’t say so now after walt

jeremy: uses his powers to make THC

kelly: was ridiculously busy in college because she was doing gymnastics and majoring in marine biology. also i kinda bent the laws of time for her because i decided she had puberty blockers, which wouldn’t have been available at the time but FUCK IT i do what i want

sam: literally everything about them is weird. they’re from night vale. they’re very emotionally attached to their shotgun

daria: not really weird but i think i read way more socialist/communist ideology into daria’s beliefs than the writers necessarily intended
