Joe still has drummer @ emigrateofficial in his IG bio and him and Richard still follow each other so i doubt there's any actual bad blood between them. But i do agree with Anon that the (seemingly) sudden switch from being around Richard all the time to almost never being with him and hanging out with Till all the time instead feels kinda odd.

he does indeed, that's why i thought it remarkable that he has the drummer emoji with Emigrate and the 🤡 emoji with Till Lindemann

all the more because he isn't actually listed as drummer playing on the Emigrate albums, on The Persistence of Memory it's Mikko Siren, Jens Dreesen, Henka Johansson. Mikko Siren is drumming on A Million Degrees and Silent so long, Henka Johansson on Emigrate. Joe Letz just plays the drummer in the Emigrate videos.

And as Richard has said more than once he has no plans to play live with Emigrate (at least he did so far, but Richard changes his mind regularly), and Joe does get to play drums live with Till, maybe that's why there was a little shift in focus for him 🌺

Well the next... First of all I want to express my displeasure with all politics in general, I don't care what political banner it is, for me they are all garbage, but the ones I dislike the most are the socialists, now under the false flag of human rights, gender equality and equality between social classes, which if you do not use the power of observation, they lie to you and you take it, but if you look closely, they are all millionaires, the people are poor and they are not what they say they are . Let us remember that Nazism was a socialist regime… 1. To start with problems, the score was in a uniform time of 80 rpm and the song was stuck in a huge salad of different times, so I had to put my ass in the chair and see how to record everything trying to get a time very similar to the original, that's where the magic of Pro Tools comes in so yes, my dear friends, it seems that Mr. Timo Tolkki was lazy to record with a metronome and recorded this song just as he thought. 2. I had to add Tracks and transcribe instruments that were not included in the score, all a nice work of brain ruin, especially if it is a Stratovarius 3. The electric bass was recorded only once and duplicated twice with different effects, as stated by Matías Kupiainen himself in the chat where we met, this is how he and Lauri Porra configure the bass live and on some records. 4. The keyboards, well on the keyboards, the score was divided into 2 parts, something that when recording it is out of reality, within one of the parts, it had 3 different sound banks and as you know, I am not characterized by having very fast fingers like Jens Johansson, far from it, so I had to re-edit the score and divide the keyboard into 4 parts, that is, 4 keyboard tracks. 5. Also the sheet music is wrong as far as the guitars, the harmonic guitars, the acoustic guitar and the rhythm guitar 2 are written as all one guitar, so I had to separate everything and record everything separately. They would be, 1 acoustic guitar track, 2 harmonic guitars, rhythm guitar, and solo guitar. What I am going to have to reconstitute the same rhythm guitar 2 times in order to make them twins and use them in stereo within the mix. 6. The voices are more my style, I no longer worry about imitating Timo Tolkki, for two reasons, the first is copyright, and the second is that even though it sounds similar, I'm not Tolkki. 7. No, I think they’re legit (who knows if they’d get together if Blake was the cause of an early separation between Ben A. & Jen G.), but the rumors started with Scarlett Johansson, and I think his relationship ending with Alannis Morrisette was revisited.

7ebra return with new single 'Normal Song' via PNKSLM

MAY 8 - Malmö twin duo 7ebra - AKA Inez and Ella Johansson - release new single ‘Normal Song’ via cult Stockholm label PNKSLM (Shitkid, Miss World, Holy).    It’s the first new music since the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Bird Hour in May 2023. ‘Normal Song’ is a natural continuation thematically from Bird Hour, with the new single finding  the duo not only embracing their melancholy, but celebrating it.  

"I see the song being about trying to please everyone but failing, having a lot of things that need to get done, but all you want to do is close yourself off and cry in the corner" explains singer Inez. "But then you think about it and say no, actually, I shouldn't have to suppress this despair I'm feeling - I wanna cry in an open field. It's normal to feel these things and you don't have to hide it, if you don't want to." 

"When we originally had the idea for the song, it was sort of a lighthearted joke actually" continues Ella. "But it quite quickly resonated with us, and we realized that this could maybe turn into a proper song. We recorded it with Jens Lindgård at Gula Studion here in Malmö, and I think his production matches the story and juxtaposition of the song perfectly. On first listen it maybe sounds like a lighthearted festival banger, especially with the big pumping chorus, but then you realise it's actually quite sad." 

Built around their telepathic harmonies, close-up guitar and droning mellotron washes, it's a spartan indie sound. The style is equally inflected by dark folk elements, austere post-punk and woozy slacker, with earworms choruses. 

‘Normal Song’ is out now digitally and is also set to be released on limited edition 7" vinyl on July 5th alongside the another new track ‘Daybreak’ via PNKSLM Recordings. 7ebra are also heading out on tour in May supporting Arab Strap as well as visiting Denmark together with Kindsight (details below), with more tour dates to follow soon. 

Beautiful but punk, minimalist but epic, the duo had previously made their mark on the Swedish music scene, with support slots for Future Islands, Bob Hund and The Dandy Warhols already under their belts. They also played shows at End of the Road, Bluedot and SXSW festivals last year, as well as for an extensive UK tour with Teleman.
