Jennifer Mistry Win Harassment Case Againest Taarak Mehta

Jennifer Mistry, known for her role as Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi in the television show “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” has been in the headlines for some time due to allegations of sexual harassment against the show’s producer, Asit Kumar Modi. The case took a significant turn when a decision was made in favor of Jennifer Mistry Bansiwala, resulting in an order for the producer to pay her outstanding dues along with a compensation of five lakh rupees. Jennifer had accused Asit Kumar Modi of sexual harassment and also filed complaints against two others, executive producer Jatin Bajaj and operations head Sohel Ramani.   The Powai police registered an FIR against Asit Modi under sections 354 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code, of assault or criminal force with intent to outrage a woman’s modesty. However, there have been no arrests in the case thus far. After a prolonged battle, justice was served to the actress. When no response came from the Mumbai police, she sought help from the Maharashtra government, which subsequently found Asit Modi guilty.

The actress from “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” shared that official orders have been issued, directing Asit to pay her the outstanding amount. Moreover, Jennifer stated that the producer would have to pay an additional charge for withholding her payment, which could amount to approximately 25-30 lakh rupees. Regarding the harassment, a fine of five lakh rupees was imposed on Asit Kumar Modi. Speaking about the decision and the sexual harassment case against the show’s producer, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwala revealed that several days had passed since the verdict.
