December 10 - Chiefs v Buffalo Bills, Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City.

Taylor flies into Kansas City to attend the Chiefs game with her cousins, Travis' cousins & friends at Arrowhead Stadium

Travis made a brilliant play contributing to a touch down but was denied due to a team mates penalty.

During the game, NFL announcer and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo referred to her as "Travis' wife" while on the air with announcing partner Jim Nantz.

"As you see, Kelce's wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience," Romo pointed out, quickly correcting himself and saying, "I'm sorry -- girlfriend."

"Not yet," Nantz said in response.

Chiefs were defeated 17 - 20.

December 11 - Taylor is nominated for a Golden Globe for The Eras tour movie.

USA Today reports that Taylor has donated $1 million to a Tennessee tornado relief Fund (x) after a Tornado ravaged the state on Saturday 9 Dec.

According to Cheterah Jackson, a Columbus, Ohio-based real estate agent and friend of Travis', the couple rented a luxury bus to transport their group and reserved the Christmas bar in downtown Kansas City for friends and family. 

Jackson tells ET, "My boyfriend Calvin Locke... is Travis' friend and has known him since the 7th grade. We were in the suite at the game, which was filled with family and friends."

"Taylor is an absolute sweetheart. She is very down-to-earth and kind." 

"Taylor and Travis are so in love. It was so cute seeing them together and I can see them getting married"

Jason and Travis limit talking about Taylor although when the brothers chat about the No.1 & No.2 sales of NFL jerseys in the UK, they give credit to Swifties for helping with the success of topping the sales and Travis gives a "shout out to Kylie and Taylor." Travis suggests that perhaps they could "find our way over there this off season and say hello to everyone in person" and record a live show in the UK. Jason replies "we also got an opportunity to do one in Australia - we could make it a world tour"

Any one know of an international pop star who may be touring in the UK and Australia in 2024 that coincides with the NFL off season? Are the Kelce brothers hinting that Travis and perhaps Jason will join Taylor on tour next year? It should be noted that Patrick Mahomes has also raised the idea of possibly catching the Era's Tour in Europe in the off season too...

The boys answer "No Dumb Questions" from handle "metal-as-hell", a reference to Taylor's TIME article calling Travis "metal as hell" when he publicly declared his interest in dating Taylor.

Taylor Swift's 34th Birthday - Taylor heads to Banzarbar, NYC with friends to celebrate her birthday into the early hours of the morning - Happy Birthday Taylor! The paps even broke out into song to sing Taylor "Happy Birthday". Note Travis remained in KC with commitments to the Chiefs. This was expected.

It didn’t seem possible that anyone could have a year this dominant: not this deep into the streaming era, not this long after the oft-proclaimed death of the monoculture, not when the entire industry seems to be in crisis over how to capture and hold onto listener attention. With reference to Taylor's relationship with Travis, Billboard's Andrew Unterberger says:

... rumors were beginning to swirl about her and Kelce. The Chiefs star had become increasingly coy in his comments about the pop icon, saying he’d invited her to come see him play a home game (after he’d seen her Eras show in Kansas City that July). She did indeed do just that on the September 24th, with her presence at Arrowhead sending both the worlds of sports and pop culture into a frenzy, and leading to numerous posts and videos of non-football-conversant Swifties sharing the sport’s rules with one another, so they could better understand what was happening in between the shots of their hero in a private box with Kelce’s mom Donna.  From then on, every Sunday (and a couple Mondays and Thursdays) of 2023 was overtaken with Taylor talk: Would she be showing up at the Chiefs’ next game? Super Bowl 2024 pregame coverage: CBS Sports will host seven hours of pre-game coverage on CBS and Paramount+ beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

11:30 a.m. ET: "NFL Slimetime": Hosts Nate Burleson and Young Dylan preview the game with NFL highlights, picks and interviews.

12:00 p.m. ET, "Road to the Super Bowl": NFL Films' annual sports doc takes a look back at the 2023-2024 NFL season. The one-hour film features more than 125 NFL players' and coaches' mic'd up moments leading up to Super Bowl LVIII.

1:00 p.m. ET: "You are Looking Live!": The story of "The NFL Today" takes a look back on 50 years of NFL studio coverage, including interviews with surviving original cast members Brent Musburger and Jayne Kennedy, as well as current TV personalities.

2:00 p.m. ET: "The NFL Today": Live from the Bellagio Hotel and Allegiant Stadium, fans will be treated to four hours of pregame coverage leading up to kickoff. 2024 Super Bowl postgame coverage: When the game is over, the action continues with CBS' postgame coverage, including the presentation of the Vince Lombardi Trophy to the winners.

9:30 p.m -10:00 p.m. (approximately): Postgame coverage begins. "The NFL Today" team will recap the Super Bowl and Jim Nantz will present the Vince Lombardi Trophy to the winner of Super Bowl LVIII.

A - Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.

I’ve been reading a lot of Tim/Kon lately since I’ve been in a batfam mood and Tim is my blorbo. Core 4 poly is also up there is good shit whether it’s platonic, queerplatonic, romantic, or sexual. It’s not right now but my other batfam ships are Tim+Cass siblings and Tim/Jason romo.

I just started Dunmeshi and yeah I can see why Farcille is good. This too is yuri.

Uhhh *does a quick backscroll through tumblr and my ao3 history* Luke+Leia is just *squeezes* so shaped. There’s a reason they’re both blorbos. Murderbot and Art are in no way romantic and I’m not sure I’d classify them as queerplatonic but god those two are just… look they’re very important to each other and are each others most important relationship but they’re both non-human sentients so it’s hits different in a very non-romo way.

B - A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.

I mean unless the show or story itself is pitching a ship I tend to need to be convinced. I’m very aroace-spectrum where unless the show is shoving the blorbos together (hello miraculous ladybug love square my beloved) I usually need fandom to hold my hand and explain why the blorbos go together. I think Ez may have sold me on Tristan/Teddy or at least taken it from “I think they’re neat” to “yes yes yes.” A lot of my strongly held shipping beliefs can trace back to someone in fandom going “I care a lot” and me going “hell yeah I’ll join you on this hill.” So yeah. I’m pretty easy to convince but I don’t always get there on my own just from canon itself.

G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?

The answer is yeah of course I do, I love shipping. Live and let ship all the way. The problem is that while I believe in one ship above all others I also believe in both polyamory and the inherent joy of the fandom bicycle. So while I may fully believe in Stucky — for example — as soulmates, Steve is bicycle-blorbo shaped and thus I will ship him with anyone a fic or author makes a compelling argument for. Which undermines the whole “one true” part of OTP. Love to hold multiple conflicting OTPs in my heart and know them to all be true. Love even having OT3s.

As for my oldest? 🤔 I’ve been talking a bunch with the gc about Ranma 1/2 and how my gateway into fandom early on was Ranma+Sailor Moon. I’m pretty ship and let ship with SM but I do genuinely like and enjoy Usagi and Mamoru together even though I’m from a fandom tradition that paired Usagi with what seems like everyone else. I guess the early ship that I was like no these two belong together in a romo way and shouldn’t be separated or shipped with other people was Percy Jackson/Annabeth Chase. I’ll vibe with most Harry Potter ships except Drarry but I read HP and PJO at around the same time and was like no these two demigods are meant to be together, do not interfere.

Have you ever blocked someone over a controversial stranger things opinion?

Not yet? I don't think I've ever blocked a human before😅

I can definitely see myself doing that, but I haven't.

General rule- block someone when seeing them bothers you. That includes if they've been a duck to you personally, you're sick of seeing them argue things, whatever. They aren't harmed by getting blocked.

I've got some mutuals who have some pretty bad takes, like thinking that Jason wasn't that bad or that the Motherfucker is the Big Bad, but I'm not confrontational about it because it's just fandom, so I don't really get into arguments, which is enough to not block someone. Just seeing that doesn't really about me enough to block a friend, or if I don't know them, it's unlikely I'd see them again anyways.

If I kept getting rude asks from someone, or they started acting like a dick to me or others, or being straight up bigoted, I'd block them then, but I've only been here since summer of '22 so it hasn't happened yet (though I've witnessed it- someone from a niche that a few of my moots were in started posting incest ships out something?? I think I actually might have blocked them too, come to think of it)

So like if someone had a controversial opinion like "Kali shouldn't come back" I wouldn't block them (I don't think, I haven't seen it yet lol) even though I think that Kali should come back to fix the mistakes made with her episode and finish her arc as well as the fact she has narrative significance, they aren't bothering anyone (but yk blockable enough if I found them super irritating or if they started saying insulting things about Kali or her fans)

But if they were bullying someone or endangering someone- block and report

And if they were being a creep or bigot, like shipping romo støbin or hornygrave or something, I don't want to keep seeing them obviously, so block.

So far nobody In moots with has done the latter, but I'd definitely question it, and that interaction might sadly have to end by blocking them.

I once blocked for accidentally being annoying- it was my fault though because I didn't handle it well when confronted and was in retrospect being too defensive about it. I should have prioritized the repercussions of my mistake over my intention. This wasn't about an opinion though, moreso about how I interacted with someone in a particular case.

I think the difference for me here is weird VS blockable, someone who's doing harm by being an asshole, bully, or bigot, or just annoying me isn't someone I want to see, so block. Someone who's blatantly wrong but I don't feel negatively enough about it that my user experience is affected, I, personally, wouldn't block them.

I also haven't blocked anyone for simply crosstagging (putting a non-applicable hashtag on a post which then does up for purple who actually wanted to see what said tag is actually for), but it's another thing that's fucking annoying and wrong and nobody should be doing.
