#Japan I love u but your clothing sizes are batshit

🚏 JAPAN - DAY 6 - TOKYO 🗾

Last day in Tokyo :( I’ll be sad to leave it!! Started the day off on such a great note at the studio ghibli museum. It was genuinely so beautiful and charming, I am so so happy we were able to get tickets! We watched the short film “the day I bought a star,” and even tho I can’t understand Japanese lol it was still soooo beautiful I loved it. Couldn’t take pictures inside the museum but just trust me it was gorgeous.

Had a little lunch at the cafe there, then worked our way to shimokitazawa to check out the vintage stores. Things were a little bit pricey and almost all American clothes, so we didn’t stay long lol.

Then went back to shibuya to do some more shopping. I have definitely learned that shopping for clothes here is really only successful at bigger stores (ex: Uniqlo), and not at the smaller stores/boutiques in malls, even though the clothes are gorgeous. I just feel like if you wear anything above a women’s size two or maybe four it’s just so hard to find clothes :/ multiple times while my mom and I were browsing today employees came up to us and told us there were no clothes in our size at the store… so that was.. not a super fun experience. So we left that mall after a few failed attempts smh. Instead went to more home goods stores and dollar stores and enjoyed that a lot more!

Ended with some fun cheap cocktails and a touristy conveyor-belt sushi dinner- but it was yummy so! No regrets.

All in, I absolutely have loved Tokyo. I’m excited to go to Kyoto and see what that’s like, but I really have enjoyed this city. I’ve always loved big cities, and Tokyo is definitely no exception. Very fast-paced and busy, but also so much to do and explore. Super yummy food, a great train system, and the people we’ve interacted with have mostly been sooo nice and helpful. I’m so happy that after years of planning for this trip I’ve finally had the chance to get here :)
