Something I drew today, I though you’d like to see it. ^_^
I kinda have an obsession when it comes to The Lonely Planet and I mean: “OBSESSION.”
Aaaw, yay!! Thank you for sharing them with me!
(Really digging the expression on wander's face fr. I love your fanart you made of those two!)
Oh btw, in exchange, I did made some doodles of the phantomimes but didn't share them cuz they were messy, rough sketches. So here they are:

Adding one more because I reached the tag limit Berry (Tokyo Mew Mew a la Mode)
(see tags for more)
Good evening, Tumblr user.
In front of you is a post asking everyone to list their favorite female Blorbos in the tags, stating that OP is tired of the focus on men in fandom.
You must participate and tag all of your favorite female characters.
If you include any characters who were canonically written as male in your tags regardless of reason, the reverse bear trap attached to your head will activate.
Begin.

Your WOY Bug AU is absolutely amazing and adorable too! You know, I was thinking about a bug design for Janet, (if she makes an appearance), and I think a love bug would definitely be perfect for her! (Well, technically, she’s a talking, sentient planet, so is her companion, Maurice so…) I guess maybe it could work out or not.
You’ll never know.
Tumblr media
here's some concept art for Janet, she's still a plant tho-
like what I did with Screwball, she's also not a bug and is instead a magic sentient object.
I thought it would be fun to call her Soil Janet (like Planet Janet) because her entire area of soil is pretty much magic! and as you can also see there is a big version and a small version of her (that being a rose like in the show, and the other being a 'lily of the valley')
although didn't turn her into a bug, I played around with the idea of her making bug-like puppets (kinda creepy lol)
now I only wonder what I'll do about Maurice.... hmm
(just noticed I might have spelt her name wrong in the top left corner)

Hey, I really love your lonely Planet picture with Wander captured by Janet underneath a vine heart. I mean, I understand it was a bad ending, but I loved the concept.
I adored it so much, I drew it my take on it in high school, and Janet even covered Wander’s mouth with a vine:
Tumblr media
And today, I gave this old drawing a redraw:
Tumblr media
(Also, I decided on the mushroom being the same one Wander sat on when he was eating the breakfast Janet made for him.)
But needless to say, your Lonely Planet artwork inspired me. ^^
Oh wow, that's really interesting o-o Mine for comparison -
Tumblr media
That's crazy haha I drew this what feels like forever ago. And I never really think that anything I make could have much of an impact on anyone because it's not very good? 😅 I am starting to learn that that's not true and all art can have interesting and unpredictable impact...
I'm glad you think it's an interesting bad end! I think that episode is really cool and Janet is a pretty scary character. Imagine a whole planet loving you so much it wants to keep you there forever. Conceptually very interesting, especially when you have someone like Wander who can never stand to stay in the same place for too long. Pretty tragic. WOY had such great writing <3

Well, I really don't like Planet Janet from woy, she was such a jerk to sylvia,,
I'm also really not fond of sunset shmmer but so far I've only seen the 1st two mlp eg movies. Probably my opinion will change when I'll watch the other movies but for now she's not that interesting to me (i do like her design tho)

So I recently rewatched the first whole season of woy with a friend of mine, and I have some thoughts on it. Still years later, the comedy is still pretty solid and some of the time, quite hilarious. I honestly thought I would cringe at many of the jokes, but I found myself laughing at most of them, so the comedy still holds up. The animation is still very nice and very fluid most of the time, it has a nice charm to it. The characters I also still enjoyed. Sylvia obviously being the best character. I’ve heard in some other reviews that say she isn’t a great character, and I completely disagree. 100%. Tbh if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t even be watching this series. Wander is good character, I like him fine, but sometimes he can just rub me the wrong way, especially with his occasional mistreatment towards Sylvia. A big example is with The Troll, when he didn’t reveal how to defeat the troll. Yeah I get that he was trying to teach a lesson, but that doesn’t excuse him not telling anyone, causing the goat army and especially Sylvia to be very seriously injured in battle. Another is the toddler, with him not listening to Sylvia, and not even acknowledging Sylvia being in pain when the toddler caused most of her injuries in that episode. AND ANOTHER IS WITH HIM NOT NOTICING THE TORTURE JANET IS PUTTING HER THROUGH IN THE LONELY PLANET! FUCK YOU WANDER. I just hate it when wander seems to care about others and not her when she needed help/care in certain situations. Hater and peepers are still hilarious and very intimidating bad guys, and wished that still stuck with Hater in season 2. Also the abuse Sylvia gets is way too much and so not funny. Slapstick is only funny if the character deserves it, and Sylvia being a kind, helpful and also protective doesn’t deserve it, it’s just cruel. Overall with its many flaws, I still enjoyed the first season, a lot more now that I’m older. I really hope season 2 is still great as I remember, or maybe even better.

Trending 27th - January 2019
Now what should the REAL final episode of Wander Over Yonder be like?
Let’s start with the basics.
It could be a 44-minute long episode in which dozens upon dozens of characters (including the villains as well as the characters planned to be introduced in S3) appear and have better roles to play. The goal of reforming Lord Hater would finally be realized. Something even greater than shielding a small planet. Anything that made the finale of Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero (At the End of the Worlds) satisfactory. Or if they choose to make it 22 minutes (like what was done for Fish Hooks), they can still bring in the right amount of content.
Now for the specifics.
At this particular point, we would already know where the Watchdogs came from, who the three new main characters are, how Hater became an electric skeleton man, and if 99% of those who were aboard The Star Nomad have returned home. Regarding the overall plot of S3, I think Wander would come to realize that the space ape he’d befriended and kept safe for a whole season (of his life) happens to be Hater’s past self.
If the ape stuck around any longer, Hater would cease to exist. If Hater ceased to exist, Peepers wouldn’t have a way to rise to power and Dominator would probably have no inspiration. So the only way to keep the timeline consistent is to send the ape far back in time (maybe with time orbbles) and let the past do the rest. As @suspendersofdisbelief once hinted for the overall plot, Hater meets his previous best friend. It might turn out that Wander was Hater’s previous best friend. MIND BLOW!
That’s just what I think, but if you remember back in The Fremergency Fronfract, after Hater was put to sleep by an electric anesthesic squid, courtesy of Dr. Scrivellix, he acted friendly around Wander and showed fear and uncertainty upon seeing the Skullship. Why? His mind must have been temporarily zapped to the point where he considered Wander and Sylvia his friends (when he was organic before the incident in the past, that is). The new threat(s) would most likely have a major part in this. This almost makes sense, but that’s still entirely my guess.
Continuing.
One thing I look for in the true WOY finale is heartwarming music. There’d be a grand reprisal of “If You Wander Over Yonder” with some new additional lyrics and the rest of the cast joining in. Towards the end, I imagine Hater’s actual last words to be, “So long, buddy! I hope we’ll meet again!” or something like that. The Watchdogs get to lead their own lives. Peepers sees the error of his ways and he, too, reforms. Dominator might start to get a change of heart while working a 9-to-5 job (and maybe delete that picture from her phone). Sylvia will probably get to show her family everything the galaxy (separate from the one where zbornaks come from) has to offer. Wander then sets off to who-knows-where and goes by a different name.
And that’s not all.
I’d probably expect these things to have happened by the end:
The Black Cube going on a few dates with Tracy, which go super well, and coming to friendly terms with Stacy and her new boyfriend
Huckleberry Knucklehead getting a start at preschool and making friends with kids his age
Prince Cashmere’s coronation
Brad Starlight, having found his “Happily Ever After,” as the end tag of The Hot Shot suggests, introduces his wife to Dracor and Demurra
The Insurgent Generals, after learning that Hater’s no longer a bad guy, find some new line of work before retirement
The ex-secret planet becoming a spot for a museum of galactic history or something
Emperor Awesome swallowing his pride and reinventing himself
Something the So-and-So finding his purpose in life
The explanation of Trudi Traveler having clones
Ryder reborn as an honest individual
The Binglebops, who had already fled the galaxy, return to find King Bingleborp and their newly recovered planet
Buster returns, much to the Ballzerians’ relief, and might grow into maturity, making more room for expansion
Planet Janet and Maurice return from their honeymoon
Someone discovers the piece of the picture strip (of Wander and Bot 13/Beep Boop)
I could go on, but I don’t want to ramble on too long. It wouldn’t be a true finale without explaining the fates of just about everyone, à la PZ:PTH’s finale. Also, we might want to find a back-up actress to perform Stella Starbella in June Squibb’s stead, just in case.
The credits roll, music is played by gentle banjo/piano/music box, and we see Wander (probably manning The Star Nomad) moving towards the horizon. As the credits end, a message from @crackmccraigen appears - “Thanks for watching!” - akin to the very end of Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. Maybe as an added bonus, he would add, “And a very special thank you to everyone in the Save WOY community for not giving up!”
Anyone who doesn’t think WOY deserves one more season of any length (or a TV movie) is probably better off friendless (dead would be too extreme). You’d have to be a nincompoop to not see the show’s full potential. If Disney doesn’t let Craig close out WOY his way by the time he finishes Kid Cosmic (it doesn’t matter how many seasons there’ll be), I wouldn’t mind Netflix buying the rights, what with the Netflix heads probably being less selfish and less stubborn. No matter what’s happening now, the executives still have to answer for what they did back in July of 2015.

My obsession with The Lonely Planet The TRUE Story.
A story that I wanted to tell my friend, @theallseeingspacegoods and maybe all of you guys out there will find this entertaining too.  It all started back in the summer of 2014.
I remembered being so hyped for the new Wander Over Yonder episodes premiering in June. Plus, I even remember the adorable artwork that fellow WOY blogger, @wanderin-over-yonder made for the new episodes that were going to air that summer. I fell in love with the amazing drawings she created for them: The Nice Guy\The Time Bomb, The Tourist, The Day\The Night. But there was one picture I couldn’t get enough of. Surely enough, this drawing would lead to me becoming obsessed with the newest episode of Wander, scheduled to release on June 17th, 2014 and that was…
The Lonely Planet.
Seriously, the second this picture showed up onto the social media page, I instantly became excited to watch this particular episode. In fact, the official synopsis of it got me more excited: “A lonely, sentient planet named Janet becomes obsessed with Wander and wants to keep him all to herself.”
Not to mention, during the end credits of The Night, we got our first look at Janet, thanks to a little WOY Disney XD promo song, singing about all the places Wander has traveled and Janet was one of them. Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to watch this episode when it aired. When the day finally arrived, I never been so pumped in my entire life.
The Lonely Planet\The Brainstorm aired on June 17th, 2014. (A date that would remain with me forever.), I watched both of them and I loved them. After they were over, I remember drawing a picture of Wander captured by Janet for the first time in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro:
Tumblr media
(My first digital drawing of The Lonely Planet.)
Little did I know that this obsession I was having with this episode was about to become a whole lot bigger…
Flash forward to June 18th, 2014, I was looking on Google, trying to find screenshots of The Lonely Planet, then I discovered this screenshot of Wander all frightened when Janet’s plant vines were reaching towards him. It suddenly lead me to this RP blog called janet the planet. The moment I encountered it, there was NO going back! I became obsessed with the old RP blog and went on it every chance I got. In fact, if it wasn’t for this RP blog, I never would have had discovered the new world of Tumblr and encountered the amazing people in the WOY community. But other then discovering a new website, I was completely obsessed with The Lonely Planet, Janet herself, her obsession with Wander and I was ready to draw just about ALL the fan art I could have of them!
As my final years in middle school began back in August, there was no doubt my obsession with Janet and Wander was in full swing, so much so, that I drew my first drawings with the characters, (in the form of 2D redraws):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(My various redraws of The Lonely Planet P1.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(My various redraws of The Lonely Planet P2.)
Middle school also lead to me drawing conversations of Wander and Janet. I’ll tell you guys, I drew a LOT of conversations between the characters, and I literally mean A LOT!! Basically, I drew and drew tons and tons of fan art of Wander and Janet together. I didn’t quite know that I was making them a couple….
But aside from middle school, high school was where my Lonely Planet drawing skyrocketed as I drew Wander visiting Janet and the planet literally keeps Wander trapped forever on her planet, she keeps him trapped throughout Monday and Thursday, but on Friday’s she would let him go and enjoy his weekend, only to get trapped once again the next week and the cycle starts all over again.
In fact, during the breaks and holidays, Janet tries her extra hardest to keep Wander with her at ALL times by any means necessary. Because during this time, I kinda made Maurice explore the galaxy on his own but he always return to Janet to tell her about the amazing sights he saw. I dunno, I guess I was just so obsessed with Janet and Wander, I kinda forgot about Maurice. But I draw him with Janet a bunch nowadays.
As for my digital art of the characters, I drew them NON-STOP! One of my favorite drawings to draw was the screenshot of Janet vowing that she and Wander are together forever until the end of time:
Tumblr media
(My first MS Paint drawing of Wander and Janet.)
Plus, I been drawing this redraw for a long time now.
Another thing about my obsession with this episode is that it introduced me to the “obsessed fangirl” and “Yanderes” topics. (Yes I know, no shocker there.) I found myself becoming obsessed with different obsessive characters from various movies and TV shows, pretty much everything I knew about these characters, I became obsessed. NTM, I can literally recite The Lonely Planet, the ENTIRE EPISODE by heart! Plus, I can do a spot-on Janet impression as well.
I dunno what was it about this episode I became absolutely obsessed with and the obsession still continues to this very day, minus the fact, I’ve been trying to post about it less now because when I joined Tumblr in 2019, I talked about The Lonely Planet LITERALLY 24.7. I told other Wander fans about my obsession with it too, even to the point I asked them to draw fanart for me of it…it lead to something shocking during March of this year, but I won’t get into any details about it. (Besides, I can’t stand to lose any more friendships like I’ve already had.)
To make a long story short, The Lonely Planet is my favorite episode of Wander Over Yonder. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of other episodes out there that are amazing and I love them too. But this one will always have a special place in my heart!
Thanks for reading! Keep clam and Wander on!

Happy Wander Wednesday, Wanderers!
Here are my Wanders for today.
The sad Wander was inspired by this drawing. (It’s on the third one underneath the WOY/Forrest Gump picture). Also, I had Cars 2 on the brain.
And of course, I had to throw in Janet and Wander, the forever friends. (I’m not getting crazy excited about The Lonely Planet and The Brainstorm turning 10 next Monday…)

*FULL VIEW IS YOUR FRIEND.*
I drew on my old art program, MS paint today and I decided to draw fanart of my favorite WOY episode, The Lonely Planet!
Wander got captured and is held hostage by Janet once again in the planet’s obsessed shrine of the space traveler. But luckily, Sylvia is on her way to rescue her buddy.
Also, I kind wished I made the BG a little more “obsessive”…but I guess this’ll do for now.

This is still one of the most CREEPIEST episodes of WOY ever!
Even includes shots of each of the poses so you can look at them up close and personal.
Also, the one on the bottom right. Let me get this out of the way first: ((NO, JANET DID NOT DESTROY SYLVIA! She found her rein lying on the ground one morning and decides to give it to Wander as the planet tells him it was a goodbye present left by Sylvia because she didn’t want to be his partner anymore. So now, Wander still has the rein with him as a reminder of his best friend.))
I’m really thinking about turning it into a AU or maybe even an undated fanfiction of the OG I wrote all the way back in high school, (which I knew it was a Bad Ending at the time), but it would be nice to revisit it.

:0 COOKIE! (devours it immediately like the goblin I am)
GOSH that was such a fun read! I love hearing such overwhelming positivity about a similar interest of mine! Makes me all warm and giddy inside :3
I too really love this episode! Just... The themes it portrays are so prominent and bright and in your face, exactly like how Janet is with Wander! The episode portrays obsession completely perfectly, no questions asked! I have never in my entire life seen a form of media, written or otherwise, that shows the rise and the fall of an obsession so raw and real like how this episode does it! The only other time I've seen obsession in anything media related was when I read "Romeo and Juliet" for school, and I was shocked that nobody else really picked up on it! The fact that WOY is the only other time I've seen obsession in media is insane actually, especially considering it's a Disney show. And quite early on in the first season no less! So suffice to say, Janet the Planet was a very pleasant surprise to me!
I also wanna mention how just emotional and raw that scene with the Wander shack is! Like... GOD! I can't even explain it rn because it is gonna be 12 AM in like 30 minutes but to keep it simple so I don't lose any more sleep than I need to... Welp. It's just so intense and terrifying! It's a whole new phenomena that hasn't been seen since, well, Romeo and Juliet! Nobody really talks about obsession in a romantic way like WOY does in this episode, and how it can manifest in so many different ways. Seeing Janet just freak out in front of Wander just makes you realize that "Oh shit. She's fuccin serious. OH MY GOD SHES A LITTLE FUCKED UP ACTUALLY-!" Like...!! It's so surprising and so scary because it's been built up throughout the whole episode and you know something is wrong but then when it cuts to all the little details like the Wander bush and the welcome mat and then the inside of the hut...! It's wonderful and sad all at once.
I definitely repeated some things like 8 times but im sleep-deprived so im gonna pretend like i know aht im doing :3
The only thing I would change about this episode was the dialogue towards the ending. I know it's a Disney show and they didn't really wanna focus on romance, especially since if they implied it was a romantic attraction then they'd be flagged or something, but... idk. Janet just wanting a "Friendship" like Wander and Sylvia...? Do... Do they really expect us to believe it's just friendship at that point?? Do they really think so lowly of us? Especially once the moon guy comes in and they start fu--
Overall, it's a wonderfully shocking episode and it shows the most tragic sides of people with obsessions, and it sheds some light on what manipulative partners can be like. Sends off such a great lesson to be learned, teaches kids that morals are unfortunately a thing and you cannot in fact manipulate the first person that compliments you, and I just like it overall. 10/10, would totally recommend!
okay ima go pretend to brush my teeth okay BAIIIIIIIIIIIIII
I have a question for you my friendo!
What other shows are you into? I'm super into ROTTMNT and VLD, but I'd like to know if you're into anything like me. (Specifically anything made by Flying Bark Productions because they are the greatest animators of all time I will not be fought on this matter)
Oh and also what do you think happened between Dr. Screwball Jones and Wander? Very important question in this fandom lmao
Well, other shows I’m into are Pokémon, SpongeBob SquarePants, Ed, Edd N Eddy, and 30 Rock. (Basically, I love ALL KINDS of tv shows!)
Now…about what happened between Screwball and Wander…
Well, as many, many theories for these two went around during the majority of 2015, I like to think that Wander and Screwball met in kindergarten, (I have some old drawings of this concept in one of my art binders. Maybe I’ll show them off one day…), basically, one thing lead to another, and I remember one drawing had Screwball taking away Wander’s toy truck and asking him to join his side, once they grew older. But Wander quickly said that he wouldn’t join him no matter what!
Then another drawing features a concept that involves Wander and Screwball performing in a high school talent show, basically, Wander won first place because of his fantastic banjo skills. I dunno what Screwball did for his talent, unfortunately, I never made a concept for it, sadly…
I’m not exactly sure how these two became rivals…hopefully, one day, will get an answer.
But, I like to think Wander and Screwball became rivals as kids and became enemies as adults.
Thank you for the question!!!

I rewatched The Lonely Planet and The Brainstorm for it’s 6th anniversary and I got SERIOUS NOSTALGIA from both of them!
The Lonely Planet hit me with a BUNCH OF OLD MEMORIES! Also, it reminded me of my crazy obsession I had with this episode when I was younger!
