Distracting Asks
Thank you for the questions 👋!
2) Name something that you want to read
Milorad Pavić's Dictionary of the Khazars has been on my mind lately. It seems to have everything I like: legends, mysticism, folklore and an enigmatic ancient civilisation. I think it will be one of my Christmas presents.
I also want to read some of Jane de la Vaudère's books. I managed to snatch a few ones for free (thanks Gallica). There are many forgotten female authors and I really want to discover more of them.
And of course, the first volume of Tomes & Tea is on my TBR list!
17) Tell us about your favorite character
Hm...picking a favorite character is difficult. But I'm going to say some words about Rhea from fe3h since it seems that you like her as well!
To me, Rhea is an example of a strong, complex and grey female character. Her choices are really interesting and perfectly understandable in the context of her wanting to protect what remains of her people. She's also incredibly badass: she hunted down the people responsible for the genocide and defeated them.
I admire her fortitude. She has been through horrible stuff. She has seen humanity pull the vilest sh*t over the centuries (because yes, humans are responsible for their acts and they brought it upon themselves. If anything, human greed is to blame). And yet, she's still helping and protecting others. I think I would have turned out like Macuil if I were in her place.
Too bad the game doesn't give her the focus she deserves!
18) Dream job?
Working as a freelance as I've started doing now is a way to get closer to my dream job. No job is ideal, but at least, I'm my own boss, I work on my own project, I chose with who I want to work and how and when. No one is going to criticize me for being an introvert (because yes, it happened).
And I can also decide of where I want to live, which is a definite advantage.
My experiences as an employee convinced me to try. I have nothing to lose.
20) Share a recipe of two
Since it's seasonally appropriate: vegetarian raclette! I'm having the raclette cheese with potatoes, avocados, apples (crunchy ones), broccoli, mushrooms, pickles...(You can basically add all the vegetables you want!).

Quote

Quelques-uns ont le ton discret des violettes;
