Hey! Me again, I was wondering if you had a lot of asks for (22. You look heavenly in this shade of blue) or (2. You take a polaroid of me lying on your bed). I was hoping for one of them or both whichever one works for you; for Jamie Reagan. Thank you again and take care!!!!!

Blue has always been your colour, Jamie has known that since the moment you’d been introduced as his new partner. You were knockout. You’d tried to downplay it, no makeup, hair pulled back into a severe bun but that smile…
Jesus, it had lit up his entire world.
It still does tonight when you step out of the bathroom wearing nothing but that silk, midnight blue night dress, the one that clings to your figure just right. His heart beats a little faster in his chest as you approach the bed and he thinks, not for the first time, that he can’t be this lucky. He doesn’t get to marry the girl of his dreams, he doesn’t get to hold her, to love her.
“You have that look on your face.” You say as you straddle his lap. His hands chase up the fabric, smoothing over it as your hips cant lightly against his. “The one that says you can’t believe this is happening.”
“It feels like I’m dreaming sometimes.” He tells you, tilting his head up so he can look into your eyes. “That having you here like this, it can’t be my life.”
“Oh Jamie.” You say, cradling his face between your hands. “What we have, it’s better than anything either one of us could have dreamed.”

By the time you got home that morning, you were completely exhausted. You dropped your bag by the front door, not caring where it landed. Then your boots followed quickly after, just like your bag not caring where they ended up. Walking over and throwing yourself over the back of the couch, pulling the blanket down over you as you went. You just let the couch swallow you up. As you were on the cusp of falling asleep, your phone starts going off. You shift to pull your phone out of your pocket, looking at the screen before answering it.
“You better be dying or dead.”
“Well good morning to you too Sunshine.”
“Jamie, it’s not a good time right now.” You let out a sigh. “What did you need?”
“I was going to see if you wanted to get breakfast before both of us went to work. I also wanted to see how the night shift went.”
“Oh, it was great.” Sarcasm was dripping from your mouth.
“Wow. Really?”
“Well, if you call getting myself suspended great, then I had a grand ol’ time.”
“Wait, are you serious?”
“Jamie, I’m tired and I don’t want to talk about this right now.”
“Well either you come with me to breakfast willingly, or I will come into your house and drag your ass out kicking and screaming. What’s it gonna be?”
“I hate you, and I want my key back.”
“I know you do. Yeah, good luck getting the key from me, you will have to pry it from my cold dead hands.” He let out a laugh. “I’ll be there in about five minutes to get you. So, hurry up.”
You hung up the phone, grunting as you got up from your couch and throwing your blanket down. You quickly went to your room to change out of your work clothes. You knew Jamie wasn’t joking when he said he would drag you out. He has done it before; he will do it again. You changed into a pair of joggers and a FDNY shirt just to mess with him. You were pulling on your socks when you heard your front door open and Jamie yelling.
“Y/n!” There was a slight pause, before you heard him stumble and curse. “Son of a bitch. Y/n, why didn’t you pick up your damn shoes. Y/n! Don’t make me have to come find you.”
You just laid back on your bed, closing your eyes and rubbing your hands over your face. You heard footsteps heading towards your room, they stopped in your doorway for a second before they came to a stop in front of you.
“You are not wearing that to breakfast.”
You open up your eyes to see him pointing to your shirt. You just closed your eyes and let out another sigh.
“Then I’m not going.” You crossed your arms like a child who was pouting.
You heard him walk away for a second, thinking you had won. Which was a short-lived dream when he came back, he pulled you up into a sitting position, causing you to let out a squeal and open your eyes. Only to have him pulling a hoodie over your head.
“Jamison! Stop it!” You struggled against him, to no avail. Once it was on you looked up at him, with an angry pout. “I am not a child.”
“Then quit acting like one.” He laughed at you.
You stood up and walked out of your room towards the front door. As you did, you looked down at the hoodie. It was Jamie’s old Harvard sweater that he got when he had gotten accepted. He lent it to you one day when you forgot your jacket, and it just never found its way back to him. He never asked for it back, so you just held onto it. At this point if he did ask for it back you wouldn’t be able to give it back.
The two of you left your house and got into Jamie’s car. There wasn’t much conversation, just comfortable silence. You were tired enough that you had started dozing off on the way. Once he pulled up to the curb of your favorite breakfast spot you were completely out. Jamie got out and walked to the passenger side door, slowly opening it not to wake you.
After all of these years, you really should have known better than to fall asleep around Jamie or any of the Reagan siblings for that matter. Jamie leaned in slightly and started screaming and shaking you. Your eyes shot open, screaming yourself. You looked over to see Jamie laughing so hard as you are clutching your chest.
“You’re an ass.”
“Oh, that was so funny.” He got out in between laughs.
He was hunched over with his hands on his knees, not caring that there was quite a few people staring at you. You got out of the car and pushed Jamie, knocking him on his ass.
“Hey!” You stood there just looking down at him. “You just assaulted a police officer ma’am.” He was up in a second.
“You have been a police officer all of two seconds.” You cocked your eyebrow at him. “Besides you wouldn’t arrest your best friend.”
“Are you sure about that?” He was right in your face, trying so hard not to smile.
“Yep.”
“How so?”
“I have friends in high and low places buddy. You don’t want to mess with me.”
“You’re such a dork.” He smile breaking out along with a chuckle. “Come on, let’s go eat and talk about how you got suspended.” He threw his arm over your shoulder as he pulled you into the diner.
Diana greeted you as you both walked into the diner.
“If it isn’t my two favorite troublemakers.” She had a big grin on her face.
“I’m not the troublemaker, she is.” Jamie pointed at you as the two of you sat down.
“What? I am not. You are a hundred percent the troublemaker out of the two of us.”
“No, you are. I’m not the one who got suspended.” He had a big grin on his face.
“What!?”
You gave Jamie the dirtiest look you have ever given anyone. You could feel her eyes starring you down, and it is not a feeling you want to have. Ever since you were young, Diana has been a big part of your lives. The two of you would come in here quite a bit with your families or even just each other. She practically watched the both of you grow up.
“Dude. Why would you say that in front of her?” You whispered harshly. Your eyes haven’t left Jamie’s, in fear of what would happen if you looked over to Diana.
“Y/n, what happened?” You looked up at her slowly, with a shy grin on your face.
“I punched another paramedic in the face.” You said quietly before looking down. “Then I slammed him into the back door of the truck.”
“Woah! What did he do to piss you off?”
“Why would you do that?” She asked while hitting you in the arm.
“Ow! We had a call for a car accident right at the end of our shift. He wanted to take a child away from his mother right after it all happened. He was going to traumatize that poor kid. Then he had the audacity to bring up my mother, then I flipped out on him. I punched him in the face and slammed him up against the back of the truck. Then I got suspended, and I can’t return to work until I take an anger management class.”
“Well then he deserved it.” Diana put her hand on your shoulder. “You don’t do that to a child, and you sure as hell don’t bring up someone’s past trauma.”
“What’s going to happen to him?” Jamie questioned you.
“Tyler texted me earlier saying that he was suspended for a day or some bullshit like that. I don’t know, I’m just hoping I never have to work with him again.”
“That is stupid, he should have to take a class on how to be a decent human.”
“That is absolute bullshit.” Jamie rubbed his hands down his face.
“Yeah, but it is what it is.” You just shrugged. “Can’t take it back now. Then again, I don’t think I would if I could.”
After that, Diana took your order and left the two of you to talk. The two of you sat there for just over an hour, before Jamie had to head into work. After paying and saying a quick goodbye to Diana, the two of you left. Jamie walked around to the driver-side of his car, while you looked around at the busy street. Somehow you aren’t as tired as you were before. You need to clear your head on the early morning events, and there was really only one place you could do that.
“Hey, I think I’m gonna walk.”
“What? Y/n you look like you’re going to pass out. I’m not gonna let you walk home.” He gave you a look like you were crazy.
“I’m fine Jamie. Plus, I’m not going home just yet.”
“Where are you going?” He came back around and stopped in front of you.
“I need to think for a little while, so Im gonna go visit my mom.” Jamie quickly pulled you into a tight hug.
“What’s going on in that head of yours?”
“I don’t know, I just need to talk to her.” You stood there for a moment longer before you broke the hug.
“Alright, come on. Go to work.”
“I can drop you off.”
“No, I’ll be fine. Besides, you don’t want to be late on your first day, do you?”
“No, I don’t.” He looked at you, with his signature smirk.
“What?”
“Nothing. Look, text me when you get there and…”
“And when I leave, and then when I get home. Ya’ know sometimes it’s like she’s still alive and is just using you as a vessel to make sure I’m okay.”
“Hey, I’m not that bad.” He looked at you like he was a little offended. “I just want you to be safe, I would still be doing this if she was still here.”
“I know. You have been protecting me since we were seventeen. Hell, maybe even before that and I was just too stubborn to notice.”
“Yeah, you were.”
“Hey!” You went to hit him in the arm, he was quickly able to dodge your hand before it made contact. He moved to the front of his car. “Get out of here, before I personally call the commissioner and tell him that one of his officers is causing as scene instead of going into work.”
“You wouldn’t.” He narrowed his eyes at you.
“Try me.” You pulled your phone out of your pocket, holding it up and waving it back and forth.
“Umm… Y/n?”
He pointed to your phone; you gave him a confused look before looking at your phone.
“Speak of the devil.”
You quickly looked back at him before answering.
“Hello, Commissioner Reagan.”
“Y/n, we have talked about this. Call me Frank.”
“Sorry Frank, how are you?”
“I am doing good. How are you?”
“Funny you should ask because I was just talking about you.”
“Oh, to who?”
“One of your officers, who is bound to be late for his first day of work if he doesn’t leave me alone.” You had a smirk on your face, while Jamie gave you an annoyed look.
“Can you hand the phone to Officer Reagan.”
“Sure.” You walked over to Jamie. “He would like to talk to you.”
He slowly took the phone and put it to his ear.
“Hello.”
You watched as the conversation unfolded. Jamie was just nodding his head and saying “Yes, Sir.” Soon he handed you the phone back.
“I have to go brat. Text me, call me if you need anything, okay?” He pulled you into another quick hug before heading to get into his car.
“I will. Bye.”
“Bye.”
Once he was gone, you quickly turned your attention to your phone.
“So, what’s going on Frank?”
“Well, I was just wondering how you were doing this morning.”
“You talked to Rourke didn’t you.”
“I may have.” You rolled your eyes.
“Frank, I really don’t want to get into this. I’m sure you got all of this information from Rourke but, Ryan pissed me off and now I’m suspended until I take an anger management class. It happened and now I have to deal with the consequences of my actions.”
“I know what happened, I’m still wondering how you are doing. Which you still haven’t answered by the way.”
“I’m fine.”
“Y/n, I have known you long enough to know when you aren’t telling me the truth.”
“Frank, I appreciate you checking up on me, but I am not one of your kids that you have to check up on when something pops up, okay. I’m a big girl, I can take care of myself. I have been doing that for a long time, longer than you probably realize.”
“I know that. You are a strong person. I just…” You cut him off.
“I have to go. I have things that I have to deal with. I will talk to you later.”
“Okay. Bye kiddo.”
As soon as you hung up the phone, you felt like a complete ass. Frank has been there for you more times than you could count. He was just being the friend to you that he always has been. This is the man that helped you get through things when your own father couldn’t. He welcomed you into his home and his family all those years ago and you just threw it back in his face.
“Fuck.”
You haled a cab, then you made your way to the cemetery. When you found your mom, you sat down next to her. You pulled your legs up and wrapped your arms around them. You just sat there for a little while not speaking.
“Hi mom. I really fucked up big this time. I got suspended because some jackass decided that it would be a clever idea to take a child away from his mother right after a car accident. He also brought up you and I lost it on him. I’m honestly surprised that I held back. Then I got a call from Frank, he was just trying to check up on me and I took it out on him. I know I shouldn’t have but I did.”
You had tears forming in your eyes, threatening to fall at any second. You looked up to the sky, before leaning back to lay on the grass. You laid there for a little while just talking to her about other things that were going on. You also tried to figure out a way to apologize to Frank. After a few hours of sitting there, you said your goodbyes to her and got up and went to get another cab.
You had the cab drop you off at a store, so you could pick up the ingredients for your mother’s cheesecake, that you know Frank loves. When you got everything home, you got to work. After it was finished baking, you let it cool while you lay down on the couch to take a long-awaited nap.
When you woke up you had quite a few missed calls and unread text messages. Most of them were from Jamie, which you should have expected since you didn’t text him when you got to or left the cemetery. There was also a couple of missed calls from your father and a text from Erin.
You decided to get the more unpleasant phone call over with first.
“Hello?”
“Hi dad.”
“You wanna tell me what the hell is going on?”
“Excuse you?”
“Y/n, what did you do at work?”
“Ya’know, I had a shitty night, thanks for asking.”
“Seriously, that’s how you’re gonna act right now?
“What do you want me to say? Huh. Do you want me to tell you that I got suspended because some asshole thought it was a good idea to traumatize a child, then bring up my past trauma because he fucking felt like it? Is that what you wanted to hear?”
You were met with silence, which didn’t surprise you at all. Ever since you mother died, he has only ever called to complain or yell at you.
“Y/n…”
“Don’t. Don’t even pretend that you care. I know where I stand in your life. I wasn’t able to help or save mom and now you blame me every chance you can for her death. So why don’t you just stop pretending to care about me. You leave me alone; I will leave you alone.” You hung up the phone, not wanting to deal with him anymore, the sad part is that no matter what if he needed help and called you. You would be there for him, even after all the shit he put you through.
You sent a quick text to Erin, saying:
Y: Sorry Erin. I had a rough night; I was sleeping it off when you texted me. I’m doing okay now. Thanks for checking up on me.
Then you texted Jamie.
Y: Sorry, I’m home and I fell asleep.
J: That’s it…
You have been MIA for five hours and all I get is I fell asleep.
Y: Jamie please don’t do this right now. I already feel like crap. Please don’t make it worse.
Instead of getting a text back, Jamie’s face popped up on your phone. You stared at it for a second before picking it up. You stayed quiet and waited for him to talk first.
“Are you okay? What happened? You seemed to be doing better at breakfast.”
“I’m an asshole, and I am so done with peoples shit.”
“You are not an asshole, and people are stupid.”
“Well, you’re only half wrong. People are stupid, but I am an asshole.”
“Why do you say that?”
“I took my anger out on one of the few people who actually care about me. When all they were doing was making sure I was okay.”
“Y/n you had a bad night, no one is going to hold that against you.”
“That’s not the point Jamie.” You let out a frustrated sigh. “I’m not really in the mood for this right now. I have things I have to get done. I will talk to you later.”
You hung up before he had a chance to talk. Throwing your phone onto the coffee table, ignoring the ringing. You got up and walk back to your kitchen. You pull the cheesecake out of the fridge, making sure it has fully set before wrapping it up to take over to Frank’s.
Before you decided to take it over there, there was a few things you needed to do. The main one being find an anger management class, so you could get it over and done with. Once you were all signed up, you put on some music and started cleaning.
It was about five when you decided to head over to Franks. When you got there you notice the extra vehicles that were there. You almost turned around, but luck wasn’t on your side today. The front door opened as you went to grab your trucks door handle.
“Y/n?”
You looked up to see Danny standing in the doorway. You looked down at your hand and just let it fall from the handle. You heard the door close and footsteps coming towards you. You turned to see Danny leaning on your truck.
“What’s going on slugger?”
“Oh God! Not you too.”
“Come on did you really expect to keep this quiet. Especially around here?” He pointed to the house. “Everyone’s in there talking about it.”
You were just hoping the ground would swallow you up, right there and then. You leaned forward leaning your forehead on the door frame and let out a big sigh.
“I wasn’t expecting everyone to be here when I showed up.” You turned your head to the side to look at him.
“I bet. Well, it’s too late to leave now.” He points to the house, you lifted your head off the truck and looked at the house to see Erin, Henry, Frank, and Jamie looking out the window.
“Of course, it is.” You gave them a quick wave. “Or… You could take this inside to your dad and let him know that I’m sorry and I will call him later.” You had a big smile on your face, as you lifted the cheesecake up into his line of sight.
“Not gonna happen.”
“Ugh.” You dropped the smile and lowered the cheesecake. “It was worth a shot.”
You walked past Danny as he laughed at your reaction. The two of you walked up to the door and it opened just as you got to the top step. Frank was standing there with a smile on his face. Danny slipped inside as you stood on the front step.
“Hi.” All of a sudden felt like you were the shy teenager you used to be all over again.
“Hi.” He just smiled at you. “So are you going to just stand there or are you going to come inside.”
“Actually, I came to apologize for today.”
“You don’t need to do that.”
“Yes, I do. I was a complete asshole to you, and you were just trying to look out for me. I took my anger and frustrations out on you. I am so sorry Frank. I know it won’t fix anything, but I made you this.” You lifted the cheesecake for him to take. “I know you like this one, it’s my mother’s recipe.”
He stepped out onto the step with you and took the cheesecake. What you didn’t expect was for him to pull you into a hug. It was one of those big bear hugs, which cradles your entire existence. The kind of hugs really only dads can give.
“Sweetheart, you have nothing to be sorry for. I know you had a difficult day at work. I shouldn’t have overstepped.”
“No, you didn’t overstep. I should feel so lucky to have someone like you to check on me. I was harsh on you, and you didn’t deserve that.” You pulled back to look at him. “Those hooligans in there don’t know how lucky they have a father that checks up on them when they had a bad day or just to see how life is going.” You pulled away from him as soon as you could feel the tears starting to prick at your eyes. “I should get going.” You started backing away.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“Umm… Home?”
“Nope. You are going to come inside and enjoy a piece of this” He lifted up the cheesecake. “We will talk for a little while, then you can go home.”
“Frank, I really need to get home.”
“Ten minutes, fifteen tops.” He stepped inside the door. “Come on. You know I’m not going to take no for answer.”
“I… Okay.” You walked into the house, and you were greeted by all of the Reagans.
Turns out fifteen minutes actually means three hours in the Reagan world. You did try to leave a few times, but they somehow convinced you to stay. Now you are finally able to leave the house when Danny and Erin said they needed to head out. Quickly that turned into having a chat at your vehicles, then Jamie came out to leave as well.
“I thought all of you needed to get home.”
“We do, we were just saying goodbye.” Erin was the first to address him.
“Well, you’ve been standing out here for like twenty minutes. You don’t seem to be in a rush to me.”
“Has it really been twenty minutes?” You looked at your watch to see it have been. “Wow…”
“I guess that’s what happens when friends get together.”
Danny wrapped his arm around your shoulders and pulled you towards him. You already knew what was going to happen. You tried to get out of it but you were too slow. Next thing you know he had you in a head lock giving you a noggie.
“DANNY! Let me go!”
All while Erin and Jamie are jus laughing their asses off. You struggled against Danny for a little bit before his phone started going off.
“Aww, saved by the bell Y/n.”
“I hate you. This is why Erin is my favorite Reagan.” You started fixing your hair when Jamie spoke up.
“Hey! I thought I was your favorite.” He looked a little offended.
“Nope. After what you did this morning, you were demoted to fourth.”
“Fourth?! Who are the other two ahead of me?”
“Frank and Henry.” You started thinking about it. “Ya’ know you might actually be lower than fourth. I didn’t factor in Nikki, Linda, Jack, and Shawn. You might actually be like eighth. Butthead over there is nineth.” You pointed over to Danny who was still on the phone.
“Wow, after all I have done for you.” Jamie just shook his head; you shrugged your shoulders.
“It happens.”
Danny turns back to the group. “Alright, now I really have to go. I will see you all later.” He went around and gave you and Erin a hug and Jamie a pat on the shoulder before getting into his Jeep.
“I should be going to, I still need to pick up Nikki and make dinner.” Erin turned to you. “We should get lunch soon.”
“Yeah, I have some free time for the next couple of days. My anger management class isn’t until Friday.”
“Okay. How about Thursday?”
“Sounds like a plan.” You smiled as she stared walking to her car. “Bye.”
“Bye.”
You turned and unlocked your truck. When you opened the door and got in, Jamie had his hand on the top of the door to hold it open.
“You were joking when you said that Erin was your favorite right?”
“No.” You just looked at him with the straightest face you had.
“Really?”
“Why are you sad? Jealous? Angry even?”
“No, I just don’t believe you.”
“Well, believe what you want.” You were close to breaking.
“Y/n. I know you better than anyone, so I know when you are lying to me.”
“Goodbye Jamie.” You shook your head, pulling on the door but he wouldn’t let go.
“I want to hear you say it.”
“Fine. I guess you’re my favorite.”
“I didn’t need the sarcasm but ill take it. Bye Y/n.” He closed the door and walked to his car, he watched as you drove away.
Once you got home things went quickly. You greeted Brian and went to the kitchen and started dinner. He came in to help you, then when it was almost done he set the table. The two of you talked about your days. Then you spent time together and watched t.v. for a while before going to bed. That’s how it was with you too as of late. You have tried to change it, but nothing was working. It was like the two of you fell into this comfortable routine, that neither of you wanted to address. After three years together, you started thinking this is all that it would be.
You hate this feeling.
The feeling of something ending.

The price of life
Jamie Reagan x daughter!reader
summary - when you get shot by an ex cop, you feel guilty for the justice that was brought on him
warnings - mentions of murder, blood, shooting, and guns. this is somewhat based of off season 1 episode 15 so you'll most likely understand it better if you watch the episode. Though most factors arent included in the episode and likewise. And if you see me put their names in front of quotes thats so you dont get confused.
-----------------------------------------
"Whats the next question" your grandpa Frank asks. You and frank are at the park eating hotdogs while you're doing a school presentation on him and his job. "Do you regret some things that have happened on the job?" You say. Pretty hesitant because you might've already known the answer to that, considering what happened to your uncle Joe. Frank takes a deep breath to gather his thoughts while staring off into space. "I have a few. When you sign up to do the things i do. Along with your dad jamie and uncle danny, some things take a toll on you. Mentally. Physically." You look down, trying to avoid the uncomfortable eye contact.. "There are things i regret i admit that. But i dont regret anything that has brought you guys into my life", he says while lifting your chin and smiling. You plaster a sad but meaningful smile on your face. "What else you got for me kid." Frank says while taking a bite out of his fry. You chuckle and look at your paper.
"So, how was i? Too detailed? Not enough details?" Frank asks while walking you to your apartment complex. Jamie had just gotten home. Its nearly dark out when you hear tires screech on the road. "You were percectly fi-" you're cut off by frank taking you to the ground, and sound of gunshots, and a burning feeling in your chest and leg. The dark SUV drifted off before you could process what happened. "Are you okay??" Frank asks while his security team asks the same of him. "Yeah" you faintly whisper with a rasp in your voice. Franks face is plain until he looks at your chest. You look down too and see blood pooling. Frank takes his hands and puts them on your wound making you flinch and groan. "You're gonna be okay y/n, just listen to the sound of my voice", is all you hear while your vision gets blurred and you slowly lose consciousness.
You wake up in the hospital with all the reagans surrounding you. "Y/n". Jamie says your name as he's sitting on a chair beside your hospital bed. You groan as you try to shift positions. "Agh, what happened". Jamie puts a hand on your shoulder "just lay down, relax." "You were shot y/n. In the chest and leg." Danny says. Linda is beside you too, rubbing your arm. She's always been like a mother to you so it was actually quite comforting, which was her initial goal. "We're gonna find who did this to you, i promise" frank says while reaching into his coat pocket to make some calls. He walks out of the room and starts talking to somebody on the phone. "Let me know if you need anything, and i mean anything".."thank you aunt erin" you say while weakly smiling. Your father, Jamie, kisses you on the forehead and leaves the room.
Its been 2 weeks and you're finally getting discharged. Feeling nothing but relief to sleep in your own bed again, eating seasoned foods that aren't bland. You order your dad to stop by the market to get you some jell-o. You've became addicted to it in the hospital and craved more. He agreed after you used your crippled status as a defeating moment. "Take it easy okay?" Jamie says as you make your way on the wheelchair. "I'll be fine I swear.". As you leave the hospital you can sense theres more than your additional family member outside waiting for you, and you were right. Frank ordered officers to 1, take you home and 2, stand gaurd outside of your apartment building. He'd offered you come stay at his home but you just wanted to lay in your bed. Jamie helped you into the back of the car. Your cast on your leg making it extra hard. He hands you your crutches and goes into the driver seat, telling frank we'll be just fine without the escort home.
You arrive home and eddie janko is there. You're crutches are giving you a hard time so she made it easier for you and met you half way. "Hiiii!!!" You say excited. Eddie was like another mother to you so seeing her after what happened instantly made you 1000x better. "Aww i heard about what happened, are you okayy".."yeah i will be. Thank you for coming though I've been wanting to see you" you say while smiling ear to ear, happy your second favorite person in the world is there with you. "Anything for you".."Cmon sweetie lets go inside" jamie says, worried your arms might give out relying on those crutches. You make it up the elevator to your home and head straight for the stairs. You freeze and stare at them in defeat. "Uh dad".."yeah?" He says while closing and locking the door. "Can i get some help". He looks at you and starts to laugh under his breath at the fact that you completely forgot you had stairs. He lifts you up bridal style and takes you up to your room.
Its sunday and you're getting ready for sunday dinner over franks place. You're trying to put on some pants and slide them over your cast but you're having a hell of a hard time. Eddie knocks on your door. "You need help with that?".."yes. Please. Im getting hot and stressed" while you let out a tired chuckle. "Ive had so many casts this is like muscle memory for me." Eddie says while kneeling and smiling. "Thank you for being here. I really appreciate it. Im glad my dad doesnt have to help me all by himself."..."of course. And i want you to know im not just doing this for your dad im doing it for you too. You both need a break it looks like"..."yeah you got that right" you say while laughing and eddie joins in. "Hey you guys ready to go?" Jamie walks in with your shoes and crutches. "Yeah dad lets go".
You arrive at franks place and is greeted like a lost puppy. You dont know how to feel about it but you were just shot twice so you let it slide for now. You guys are sitting at the table eating when your uncle danny mentions the person who shot you. Danny - "well, thank God the person who shot you is no longer in the streets" Y/n - "you guys arrested him? Why did nobody tell me?" You say while smiling. Danny - "well... we didnt exactly arrest him" y/n - "what do you mean?... you killed him?" Danny - "we seen the shot and took it y/n." Y/n - "right but why." Henry - "y/n he shot you. Did you expect them to just let him live" y/n - "no but it was the right thing to do!" You say while your voice shakes and cracks. Danny - "he shot you y/n!! And who knows who else he was thinkin about killing! Mind you, you arent the only one in new york he could've had his eyes on!" Y/n - "Yeah! I know that but you dont go around killing people in my name! I lived! And his life doesnt substitute for mine even if i didnt!!" You yell and grab your crutches to walk out. "Y/n!" Jamie yells after you while you leave to go sit in the living room. "She's right ya know" frank says as he takes a spoonfull of food in his mouth.
You refuse to talk to anyone and tell jamie to take you home. He does as he's asked to prevent any other arguing.
You're sitting in bed, blaming yourself for your shooters death when jamie comes in with the rest of your dinner you left. "Thank you" you smile and take the plate and spoon. Jamie sits next to you and put his arm around you. "Its not your fault you know"..."how"..."your uncle danny made a decision. Maybe that decision wasn't his to make but he made it. And he got a killer off the streets because of it. We didn't tell you this but, that guy, he was a killer. He took people away from their families. Mothers, fathers, daughters. People like that have no humanity. No guilt. No respect. Uncle danny made the decision that one life would save hundreds more. The life of the victims, the life of the cops who work the case, and the life of the families. Maybe it was the right decision maybe it wasn't. Who are we to decide that. But one thing i do know is that this is not your fault and it will never be your fault. Its his for putting a price on life.". You nod and look up at him. "Thank you dad" while he kisses your forehead. He takes a spoon of your food and eats it. "This is really good". You both laugh and look at eachother while he rests his head on the top of yours. "I love you y/n" "i love you too"

In which the Inevitable becomes reality pt 1/3
Info: The youngest Reagan has always been protected from the crimes that her family faced, but sometimes being away from it is inevitable
Relationship: Reagan family x reagan reader
Warning: Mentions of school shooting
Series masterlist
Based on early season
25 year old y/n Reagan was the youngest of Commissioner Frank Reagans kids. Being the youngest her family cared for her deeply. Her life was slightly different than those of her family, being a high school teacher was something she always wanted to do. The family line of cops and army life never appealed to her, so like her sister she steered clear of that workforce. She remembered her beloved deceased brother Joe letting her hold his unloaded gun, and she hated the feel of it. She didn't like the thought of having t put a bullet into someone, even when it was to protect someone else. Y/n thought PE and Biology as well as coached the girls baseball team (one she fought for when she first joined the school) every Wednesday afterschool.
She was closest with her gramps, they often played chess together and many a night Frank would come home from work and see his father and daughter sitting in the living room watching friends ( though if anyone asked Henry would strongly deny it). Her pops often joined her for the coaching sessions before heading back to his where he would cook dinner before she left back to hers.
She was the younger sister that Linda always wished for, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see y/n helping her sister in law around the house or cooking, and Linda always made sure to make time to help y/n get her class room ready for the school year.
Y/n was quiet compared to her older siblings, and because of that Danny had always been overprotective of her. He didn't like her being around cases the family worked on, and often kept her away from the conversations if she could, making dinner conversations of cases short when she was present. Many a time he would meet her for coffee during the week, or bring her some lunch when he had a case that reminded him of her. He made sure that y/n would always text when she was home if she was out late or if a criminal was on the lose.
Jamie had made it a habit to sit down and have drinks with her after a tough day. Despite being there to help her brother, y/n was never told of his day and what lead to him becoming so stressed, which frustrated her but she accepted it none the less.
Being the only two girls of a family of boys, Erin and y/n often spent Sundays doing something together before church and family dinner. Their schedule prevented them from spending much time together so when they could, they would leave for a week, Nikki joining them, and head somewhere they hadn't been before to explore.
Her family always looked after her, and father was no exception. Frank always made sure to check up on her, regardless on what went on that day. He knew the school shootings happening in America effected her, and wanted to make sure that she knew she was safe and nothing would happen to her. He even went so far to make sure that the Reagan family saying 'please don't hurt my family' was drilled in her head. She was well protected and always had someone watching her back.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Reagan family at at the dinner table at Henry and Franks for their weekly Sunday family dinner after church. Y/n sat beside her dad and Erin, picking at her food as she half listened to her family talking about the recent increase of school shootings around the town. Too focused in her own thoughts, she jumped when she was elbowed before glaring at Erin in annoyance.
"Oww, what?" Y/n snapped at her sister before whipping her head to face her dad as he raised a finger in warning.
"Gramps was asking what's wrong with you, your not eating much." Erin stated, tilting her head to the side slightly.
"Sorry Gramps, just thoughts spiraling around my head. Classes have been busy with assessments and we had a practice session today." Y/n explained, watching as her family turned their attention to her, Danny eyeing her with slight concern.
"Teachers have a busy schedule? I always thought they just gave us work and went home to rest." Sean stated causing y/n to laugh slightly.
"Well if you consider grading papers, correcting homework, teaching kids new material, planning classes and making sure that you are all ready for the real world easy, than yeah it's a job for lots of rest." Y/n explained causing Jack to laugh at his brother playfully.
"But compared to dads job it's easy right?" Sean asked, looking towards his aunt.
"Every job is difficult in it's own way Sean, no one has an easier job than anyone else. It may seem like it to you but I'm sure dealing with kids on the daily ain't easy. I mean I only have you and Jack and sometimes I struggle with it." Linda explained to her son.
"So you don't just rest?" Sean asked, second guessing everything he thought.
"God I wish." Y/n stated, stabbing her meat and taking a bite as everyone laughed at her reaction.
"As opposed to your very busy schedule. Everything will work out in the end y/n, your a great teacher and those kids are lucky to have you as their mentor through life." Frank stated, putting a hand on his youngest daughters shoulder as she chuckled lightly.
"Mentor through life, way to be dramatic dad." y/n laughed, taking her glass of wine and taking a sip.
"You seem to forget he's commissioner of police y/n, dramatic is in the job description." Jamie stated and everyone laughed once again.
Y/n shook her head as she laughed with her family, glad to have them around her. She glanced in front of her to see Danny looking at her with a small smile. He winked at her in assurance before taking a bite of his food, and y/n smiled at him before looking down at her plate o continue her own food. Grabbing her glass of wine, she smirked at her pops when he mentioned about needing a rematch on the chess game they had played last week.
"Didn't y/n win that one?" Nikki asked, smirking at y/n who nodded her head in appreciation.
"Nah, I was going easy on her." Henry stated, taking a drink from his own glass.
"Nah, your gramps is just a sore loser, I won fair and square right Jack." Y/n asked, glancing at the boy who had watched their game.
"Right." Jack nodded causing everyone to laugh once again.
----------------------------------------------
The following day y/n was teaching her regular PE class, and she watched the group of students as they started to run laps of the court. Hearing footsteps outside the door, she folded her arms and turned her head to the sound. Deciding to check it our, she made her way over to the door, ready to give out to students ditching class, only to see no one. Squinting her eyes in confusion, Ms. Reagan made her way back into the hall, clapping her hands to gain the students attention.
"Alright guys, grab some balls and were gonna do volleyball. One on one." She announced, grabbing the net full of soft balls before placing it in the middle of the floor, allowing students to grab them and pair up. "The rules are...."
Y/n was interrupted by an echoing bang being heard, causing the students to look around the hall. Hearing it again, closer than before, the students flinch at the sound. Y/n's eyes widened as she realized the sound, the sound of a gun. She looked around the hall before seeing the storage unit, knowing it wasn't exactly spacious but she needed to figure out something before the person responsible for the shots found them. They couldn't stay in the hall it was way too open.
"Alright, everyone be calm, we need to find somewhere to hide, no need to panic, just follow me into the storage unit, keep your heads low, does everyone understand me." Y/n explained slowly, indicating for everyone to crouch down, "Treat it like the ones we practiced. Hid behind anything in there, I will lock and block the door once everyone is in there, it's going to be a tight squeeze but make it work."
Y/n watched the students eyes widen in fear as they realized what was happening. Shushing the students who whimpered, and knowing they didn't have much time to waste, she began pushing students towards the unit. Students began to follow each other and y/n ran towards the door to lock it and grabbed the bag which had held the balls to make it more difficult for the shooter to determine people were present.
Upon making it to the unit she locked the door and ordered students to grab some of the ridiculously heavy gym mats to barricade it, blocking the windows that would risk exposure. She sighed deeply and watched students huddle close to their friends, sliding down the mats to be close to the door.
"Okay guys, I know you have phones on you. I need you to contact those who need to know what's going on and put them on silent. Do not tell anyone where you are hiding, we do not know who or where they are, but they may have someone's phone or be able to track our phones, understood." Y/n whispered sternly, trying to keep everyone, and herself, calm.
Y/n grabbed the laptop left at the side of the storage unit for emergencies and checked to see if any emails was out about what was going on. She knew it was only a matter of time till one, or both, f her brothers would catch wind of what was going on and would make their way to aid, her father would no doubt follow. She just needed to keep her students safe and sane until help arrived.
-------------------------------
Danny sat at his desk as he worked on some paperwork with Jackie after finishing another case. Turning to his computer he began to look at some evidence from labs when something came over the radio.
"School shooting in operation, Location: Local high school, All units available please respond. Armed forces are required." A dispatcher announced causing Danny's eyes to widen in shock before jumping up.
"Danny, what's up?." Jackie asked, concerned for her partners sudden movement as she also got up.
"Y/n teaches there." He responded, grabbing his gun and putting it in it's holster and clipping his badge in a rush before taking his car keys.
"That's where y/n teaches?" Jackie asked, also getting up and grabbing her gun and badge.
"Yep, now let's go." Danny ordered, before rushing out of the office, Jackie rushing to keep up with him.
"Detective Curatola and Detective Reagan on route to shooting." Jackie reported back to dispatch as she got in the car just in time for Danny to speed off, sirens blaring.
--------------------------------------------------
Jamie and officer Renzulli sat in their patrol car, watching the city in the corner while eating their lunch. Jamie bit into his sandwich as he listened to his mentor explain his recent dilemma with his wife before stopping as they heard the car radio cackle to life.
"All available units please respond. School shooting in operation, Location: local high school. Armed forces are required."
"Shit." Jamie cursed, pushing his lunch onto the floor , not caring where it went as he heard the school name.
"What's the stress for Reagan, call us in." Officer Renzulli stated, pointing at the radio as he started the car.
"Officer Reagan and Officer Renzulli available on route." Jamie called into the radio before putting on the sirens and answering his mentors question "My sister works there."
"Erin, isn't she a lawyer."
"No my other sister y/n. Can't we go any faster." Jamie asked, agitated to get there.
"I'm going, I'm going. Don't worry I'm sure she'll be in a safe place, don't schools to training for these type of things."
"Yeah, but you and I both know training is nothing like an actual scenario." Jamie explained, not in the mood to be talking.
"True that." Renzulli agreed, realizing Jamie didn't want to talk any more.
-----------------------------------------------
Frank sat in his office, currently in his latest monthly meeting with the fire commissioner. He loved being commissioner but sometimes these meetings seemed to drag on. He sighed and rubbed his forehead in frustration before his office door opened and Baker came through.
"Baker." Frank stated, looking up at his receptionist.
"Sorry commissioner, emergency within the police districts, dispatch has been asking for any available units to respond to the situation. Said armed forces were required for a school shooting." Baker relayed information to her boss who watched her in thought.
"Oh God." The fire commissioner swore under his breath causing Frank to glance his way before returning his gaze to Baker.
"What school?" He asked, trying to hide the lump formed in his throat."
"The local high school sir." Baker replied, watching as the commissioner took a deep breath and look down, head in his hands.
"Baker, call for a car. I don't need a driver, just the car." Frank ordered softly as he refused to look at anyone.
"Sir?" The woman asked confused, " You can't go, commissioners don't respond to shootings."
"Baker I didn't ask for your input I asked for a car. I need to get there and I don't care how, just find a way." Frank stated sternly, looking ahead of him.
"But sir."
"Baker, my daughter works there and I need to be there to see what's happening, so get me a car and tell them that the commissioner is on his way." Frank ordered, standing up and putting his hands on the table in front of him, looking at her finally.
"Right away sir." Baker responded, knowing no Reagan would take no when it's family involved.
"I'm sorry commissioner but we will need to postpone this meeting." Frank stated, looking at his fellow commissioner as he opened the drawer which contained his gun and badge.
"Don't sweat it sir, I pray for your daughters safety."
"Thank you."
Frank nodded is head at his fellow commissioner and left the office. He sighed in sorrow as thought of his youngest daughter being held hostage in school with a bunch of students under her protection and opted to text her 'y/n, be calm, you will be okay, we will get you and the students out safe'. As the car arrived for him he got into the back before it came to full halt and sat impatiently as they made their way to the scene.

Swamp Thing
Prompt: Jamie Reagan x Reader fic and the reader is a lawyer with Erin
AN: Can you spot the SVU reference?
Requested By: ANON
“No.”
“Look, I wouldn’t be asking unless it was really important, and THIS is really important.”
You don’t even look at Erin as you walk, your nose buried in a file. You turn into your office and settle behind your desk. When you look up, she’s still there; arms crossed and staring you down.
“Look, Erin, I don’t know how it works at the Manhattan DA’s office, but here, in Brooklyn, we don’t set our friends up with our little brothers.”
“It’s not a set up. Jamie recently went through a heartbreak, he broke it off with his finance’ and partner. He has no one to go to this political dinner with, and all Reagans have to be there to support my dad. He checked plus one, and now he needs one. And if we have an empty seat at our table it’s going to look bad.”
You lean back in your chair, “So you schlep out to Brooklyn, to look up one of your old interns . . .”
“And friends. You’ve seen me drunk, that makes you a friend.”
You snort at that, “Exactly, I got your drunk ass home safe after several shot of tequila, and I held your hair while you threw up.”
“Friendship.”
“Or me not wanting you to die of alcohol poisoning, because then I would have had to find a new internship.”
You stare at each other for a moment before you both grin, “Send me the time, dress code, and address. I’ll meet your group there.”
She moves behind your desk, gives you a not great hug do to your chair, and says, “Thank you. I owe you one.”
As she moves out the door, you call out, “You owe me ten Reagan.”
The event ends up not being for another week. For the most part, other than picking out an outfit, you put it out of your mind. You’ve just finished negotiating a deal with a murderer, double digits and the first one starts with a two, and you can feel the headache brewing.
Which is why you’re more than a little annoyed when you go back to your office and see an officer sitting outside it, waiting for you. The rest of your afternoon should be clear . . . you didn’t have any testimony to go over.
You stop in front of him, and study him for a second. He’s cute. “Can I help you?”
His head snaps up, “No. Thank you. I’m just waiting on Ms. Y/L/N.”
You give him a small smile, “Present and accounted for.”
He stands up, nods a few times and goes, “Of course you’d be pretty.”
“Excuse me.”
He takes a deep breath, “My name is Jamie Reagan, I’m here to undo the mess my
sister Erin made.”
Ahh, so that’s what’s going on. You bite your lip to keep from laughing, “Then you should probably come in.”
He follows you into your office, and each of you takes a seat on your couch. There’s a breath of silence before he says, “Erin, had no right to corner you into going to this dinner that’s coming up. I mean, I didn’t even have a desire to go, it’s just something you do for family.”
“Torture you mean?”
His lips quirk, “Yeah. Anyways, I already asked an old friend I went to law school with, she said yes, so you’re off the hook.”
You lean back into the couch and stare at him, “Well, now that’s a shame.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. I could leave the rubber chicken dinner, but you turned out to be pretty cute. The way Erin was begging made you seem like you were the swamp thing.”
He nods, “So, as long as I kill her in Manhattan, you won’t have to try my case, right?”
“Yep.”
“That means it wouldn’t be a conflict of interest for you to go on a real non-boring date with me next Friday?”
“The whole being arrested, trial and prison thing might get in the way?”
He laughs, “For you I’ll drop the murder.”
“You’ve got yourself a deal.” And you can’t help but think that deal wise. . . you’re on quite the roll today.

Always - Jamie Reagan
Always - Jamie Reagan One Shot
Here is my first request from @lclb13 - hope you like it! It was my best interpretation!
(I don’t own the characters or gifs)
Warning: Cursing, Woman being attacked
Gif** I got from Tenor, but I couldn’t find the username.
Gif** LauraDunn1 from Tenor app
You hopped out of the shower, drying your hair, before wrapping the towel around your body. With the smile on Jamie’s face, you could tell he was awake, “You should be sleeping,” you sing to him.
He sat up, his hair all messy, “Come here,” he said trying to reach for you.
Taking a few steps, you shake your head, “Oh no, I’m not being late to work again, I know that face.”
Giving you a pouty face, he says, “Please.” You roll your eyes, letting him take your hand, “I can’t sleep when you are being so distracting.” You see the look in his eye and shake your head knowing what he is going to do. He pulled you into the bed, laying on top of you, “What will being a little late hurt?”
He tried to kiss you and you put a finger to his mouth stopping him, “Oh, I don’t know I’m a doctor, so you know death, plague, the works.” Now he is the one shaking his head, “But you sure are cute with your bed head.”
This time he just took the time just to stare at you, love gushing from his eyes, “I’m so lucky to have you,” he murmured, “I’m married to a rock star doctor.”
You put your head to his, “Yeah, I am pretty amazing,” you grin, “But it doesn’t matter how much you butter me up, I am not being late to work today.” You lean down to give him a deep kiss before bolting out from underneath him, “You need to sleep, you can’t protect this great city if you are dead on your feet.”
“Save some lives babe,” he lays back down, watching you finish grabbing your things.
You send him a grin, “Always.”
You loved being an ER doctor, it was fast pace and you had to use your head. There was a fire at a group home, so you were helping triage the victims. Burns were some of the hardest cases to handle. You were sitting with a young man with burns down his forearm, but not much damage like the others, “Howd you get these burns,” you said, trying to peel the fabric from the flesh.
You were getting the feeling something was off, he was fidgety, and you could tell he didn’t want to be there, “I don’t know, the house was on fire, maybe running away.”
“Odd,” you say out loud. You should have just finished your job. You learned in med school, it wasn’t your job to investigate, but being married to a cop and his cop family, it got even harder not to try to connect the dots. “Where these burns are, they-,” before you could finish your sentence the guy cold socked you right in the face. It took your breath away and before you could call for help, he kneed you, and tackled you to the ground. You tried to block your body and fight back, but it only took a few seconds before a guard and nurse saw the commotion and yanked him off you.
You were sitting on a gurney, trying not to be inpatient, “Come on Roxy,” you urged, “Can I be cleared to do my job now?”
“Y/N, you were attacked. Shit, you have a black eye, busted lip, and some bruised ribs. Stop being wonder woman and go home,” she fused over you.
“I’m staying in principle, nurses deal with this crap all the time and are expected to stay,” She continued to monitor your charts, trying to ignore your self-righteous speech, “You get knocked down, you get back up. I’m fine. Let’s go.”
“Y/N,” she said, not looking up from the chart she was scanning. This got your attention, something was up, “Did you know you are pregnant?”
Your eyebrows shot up, “I’m sorry, what?”
“Blood work just came back, do you mind if I do an ultrasound,” she worked quickly, not really waiting for a response. She was one of your best friends, nearly like sisters. She didn’t need your words to know your wishes. Suddenly there was a heartbeat sound, “About 11 weeks,” she said to you, “Babe don’t you monitor your period?”
A hiccup laugh left you mouth, a shot of happiness spiked up your spine, “I’ve just been so busy, make sense with the weight gain. I just assumed it’s was the Reagan Sunday dinner.”
She pointed something out which took your breath away again, “Twins, Y/N, you’re having twins,” she pulled up the ultrasound, “It’s shitty timing for your first ultrasound, but here it is,” she gushed.
She printed out the picture and you just stared at it.
“Two,” you question again.
She wiped off your belly and smiled, “Damn right, go big or go home lovely,” your friend said. Everything was blank, you didn’t know what to say, you were so happy and yet so intimidated, “You’re going to be a great mom,” she said.
You nod, “Thanks, hey do me a favor don’t call Jai-,” you tried to finish before you heard his voice.
“Damn right she called me,” he shouted, “You should have called me,” cupped your cheek examining your face. You hid the picture behind you, shaking off Roxy. You didn’t want Jamie to find out this way, under these circumstances, “I’m going to ignore the fact that I’m freaking pissed for the moment, are you okay?”
You take Jamie’s hand away from you face and hold it tight, “I swear, I’m fine. I just want to get back to work.”
“Look at your face babe,” he whispered.
Everything was interrupted by the yelling voice of Danny from the hall, “You told the family,” you roll your eyes. You look at Roxy, “You are a tattle tale, you know that,” you point at her.
“Hey, I like them to remember times like this when I need help with a speeding ticket,” she smirked.
You saw Frank first, then Pop, and then Erin, “How you are doing Y/N,” Frank asked, “Need anything?”
“Yeah,” you point to the door, “Tell Danny to leave the young man alone, he has a mental illness and needs help. He’ll do his time for his crimes. And Danny is disrupting my hospital.”
“Y/N,” Jamie whines acting annoyed.
“What,” you shoot back. “If this was you, you’d be back on the street within an hour.”
“Okay,” Pop interrupts the argument about to start, “How about we all just focus on Y/N, she doesn’t need any fights or drama right now.”
Roxy stepped in again, “Boss just got back, he says you have to take a few days off and he’ll have to be the one to clear you for duty.”
“Alright, the verdicts in, Y/N your coming with us. We can continue this conversation after we are all calm down,” Erin shared, putting her hand on your knee, “We’ll leave you to get dressed and meet you out by the cars.”
Jamie looked at you, you could tell he felt pretty helpless. And you weren’t ready to break the news to him, not like this.
It’s been two days of laying around the house and having a Reagan take care of you at all time. You and Jamie haven’t spoken much because it usually ends up in an argument. It was a mixture of being treated like you were glass and the fact that you haven’t told Jamie about being pregnant.
It was Sunday evening and you were trying to help with dinner. Danny and Pop were trying to teach you some self-defense moves, but you didn’t pay much attention. You were stuffing your mouth with mashed potatoes when the conversation of your safety became the topic, “Y/N, it can’t hurt to take some self-defense classes.”
“It was one time,” you shoot back.
Jamie looked down at his food, “You tell me all the time that nurses and doctors get attacked, bit, and spit on. It’s not one-time thing.”
You clink your fork down, “If I was a man, would you be having this same conversation with me.”
“Yes,” all the men shout.
Slamming back your chair, you stomp, “Fine, let me go find some defense classes to make the poor men in this group feel better,” and you rush to the study.
Rather than stall, you remember a few of your friends take self defense classes. Within ten minutes, you are talking to the head of the hospital and having them offer a free six-week training for all staff for appropriate self-defense training. You rush back and sliding your chair back, “Happy, the hospital will be offering a six-week self-defense class to all staff who’d like to participate?”
You continue to eat, ignoring the amazement from the people around the room, “You were gone fifteen minutes,” Danny questioned, his tone shocked, “I’d hate to see what you can do in a day.”
“Ya’ll need peace and mind, I’m here to offer you solace in regards to my own safety,” you continue to eat a slice of cake you stole from the kitchen, “But know, I can only do it for so long.”
“Why,” one of the kids asked, “Don’t you want to do it until your good at it.”
“Well Sean, I’ve got another timeline to consider.”
It hit Frank and Erin first, a smile growing on their faces, “A timeline,” Jamie asked, “What haven’t you told me, I don’t know anything about a timeline?”
Sighing, you drop your fork full of cake to reach behind you to your purse. You were acknowledging this was not how you wanted to tell Jamie and the family, but you let your frustrations get the best of you and let you slip out the news. At this point, Danny and Pops were catching on, “I didn’t want to tell you like this, but family dinner makes sense.”
You pass him the picture, Erin is in near tears, “Really,” she asked stepping out of her seat. Nicky rushed around the table and hugged you tight.
“Watch the cake, pregnant lady and dessert will cause real pain and damage if someone gets between them,” you tried to watch Jamie’s reaction.
He continued to stare at the picture. Everyone was waiting for his reaction, “Is this,” he looked up at you, nearly looking like he was going to cry, “Is this, are there two,” he questioned.
“Twins,” Danny yelled, “Nice.”
Suddenly everyone was getting up, trying to congratulate us. But Jamie and you were sharing this moment together, “Yeah, I’m 11 weeks with twins.”
He jumped up, scooping you in his arms and twirling you around, “I love you so much.”
He put you down, staring at you and only you, “I love you too.”
Pops slapped him on the back and we finally acknowledged the rest of the family. There was a giant congratulations and a billion questions, but you didn’t expect anything different from the Reagans. Jamie held you hand tightly, “You know what this means,” Danny asked out loud to the group. “You got to start learning now before you-.”
Erin stepped in, “If you like breathing, I’d recommend you keep those thoughts in your head.”
“Smart woman,” you say to her, pointing your finger at Danny.
Jamie looked down at you again, “Just promise you’ll be careful,” he said.
“Always,” you kiss him, before reaching for more cake.

Dating Jamie Reagan and being a detective in the 99 would include
● Meeting when you and your partner Rosa are tracing the same drug dealers Jamie and Eddie are chasing.
● You all butt heads at first, but because you and Rosa are detectives and those two are just officers you eventually get the case. However,Captain Holt makes you work on the case together (punishment for when Rosa told him he needs to bone his husband).
● It’s a long month of countless sleepless nights but you finally build a strong case to take to the DA’s office.
● During that month you get to know Jamie and Eddie quite well. Eddie and Rosa become friends and like to take the piss that you and Jamie have a crush on each other.
● After winning the trail Jamie rushes up to you and asks you on a date. You say yes of course (ignoring the obvious smirks from Eddie and Rosa).
● You’re date feels like you’ve known each other for years. Jamie asks you out when he walks you home.
● Dating Jamie for real has it’s advantages and disadvantages. Some of the officers downstairs of the nine-nine think that you’re only dating him to get ahead of the game.
● However, Jamie really tries his best to be a better boyfriend than he was to his ex-fiance.
● He’s very protective of you. Always has an arm around you at NYPD events.
● Makes sure to kiss you before leaving the apartment.
● You attend family dinners every Sunday and become apart of the Reagan family very quickly.

Imagine Jamie's Wife and The Reagans Not Knowing About It
"It's such a pain in the ass that we have to go to work on our wedding anniversary, babe." You said while you shared your breakfast with Jamie. It was not yet six o'clock in the morning when you were pouring your husband some coffee into his mug - it said Mr. Right - but these were the occupational hazards you and your husband faced all the time. The upside was that you often got the chance to look through the kitchen window and see the sun rise. It was a nice balance after so many sunsets you and Jamie witnessed in Hawaii, where you eloped to get married, and where you stayed for a whole week.
"I know... But we have the night off and we'll go to dinner just us two. It'll be great." He said before kissing your cheek and smiling.
"I love you, you know that?"
"I do know that. But I'd like for you to show me again." He teased before kissing you again, owning you and your heart.
"Trust me," You said after you pulled apart. "I would love to show you how much I love you again but we have to go to work. These bills aren't gonna pay themselves, you know?"
"Yeah, I know." Jamie sighed and drank his coffee quickly before putting on his jacket and putting on his boots.
"What's the hurry?" You asked, frowning at your husband and how fast he getting ready to leave the house.
"I got a meeting at 1PP before work." He put down the mug after drinking the last drop of coffee and kissing your cheek. "Love you." And with that he left you at the apartment, alone.
You didn't take longer to get ready and leave the house yourself, and in less than forty five minutes, you were greeting your colleagues and friends at the 54th precinct, including Daniel Reagan and Maria Baez, who your worked closely with.
"Morning, everyone!"
You took the frame out of your bag and put it on display on your desk, right next to the computer monitor. The picture wasn't giving anything away - you were wearing a long white dress (more like a beach dress than a wedding dress) and Jamie was wearing a simple plain white shirt and beige pants, you were both barefoot and since he was kissing you, no one could tell it was him in the picture. Only you knew and you loved that you were able to look at that picture that warmed your heart so much, whenever you wanted to.
"Oh my God! You got married?! I am so happy for you! Oh my God, you look beautiful!" You and Baez were the only two women working as first grade detectives on the precinct, so you were pretty close as friends and of course, you were the only one you could talk clothes and make up with each other, since the guys hated it.
"Yes, it was quite a while ago."
"And you didn't invite us?" Danny asked, looking as shocked as Baez, as he picked up the frame to look at the picture better.
"Well, we didn't invite anyone. We eloped, so..." You shrugged and started picking up some sheets and some folders, busying yourself with work.
"Who's the lucky guy?" He asked. You panicked for a little bit, but didn't let it show.
"Just a friend of mine... You don't know him." You hated that you had to lie. But if you were being true to yourself, you were a great part of the reason why you eloped, because you were scared and frightened about becoming part of the Reagan clan. "Anyway, we sort of realized we weren't just friends anymore and we had been dating for a while and then he just popped the question and I said yes and well, we went to Hawaii and got married! End of story." You explained quickly, flashing your friends a smile.
"Hey, your lover boy's got a birth mark on his neck. Like my kid brother." Danny noticed, yet he exposed his remark slash observation in a whisper, and didn't say anything to you right there and then, putting the frame down before he and his partner left for a crime scene.
* * *
"You got married?!" Danny emerged on the 29th precinct and went straight for the sergeant's office.
"How the hell do you even know?!" Jamie got up from his chair.
"So you did get married! And you eloped?! You didn't invite your family, you didn't get married at the church our parents got married?"
"You really wanna do this here?" That was the only thing Jamie said in response, before pulling his brother by his arm and escorting him to a non-used room, where he closed the door behind the two of them once they were both inside.
"What are you busting my chops for? I am a grown man, I am not just your little brother anymore or the little kid of the family. I wanted to get married, I got married. We wanted something simple and we wanted it just to be about the two of us, not about our family's or about the Reagan traditions. So, yes! We eloped, we got married in Hawaii, it was just how we wanted it and it was perfect. And I wouldn't change that day for the world."
Jamie let a breath go, a breath he didn't even know he was holding as he exploded, quickly shutting up his brother.
"How long?" To the sergeant's surprise, that's all Danny asked.
"It's our one year anniversary today." The detective tried to hide his shock and surprise at the newly discovered information, but failed at it.
"Congratulations kid. (Y/N) is one hell of a girl, treat her right."
"You're telling me that? Thanks, Danny."
The brothers hugged it out, patting each other's backs before pulling apart as if nothing of that prior events had happened.
"Have a nice day, sergeant." Danny said before opening the door and walking his way out of his younger brother's precinct.
"Oh, Danny!" Jamie called out right after waving his older brother goodbye. "Don't mention it to the rest of the family. Please."
"You got it." Danny smiled and nodded, right before he left, carrying one more secret that he did keep to himself, until the next family dinner.

“How do I look?"
She twirled in her new Sunday dress and came to a stop in front of him. Jamie shook his head.
"The Reagans aren't gonna know what hit them."
She blushed and turned to the mirror, fixing her already perfect hair.
“Baby, you worry too much. You look fine."
Jamie smiled kindly as he made his way to her, leaning down to kiss her exposed shoulder. She followed his actions in the mirror and sighed before turning to face him, her back pressed against the dresser.
"I know but I want them to like me, Jamie." He nodded.
"If I think enough of you to bring you to Sunday lunch then they already think highly of you."
She nodded and he smiled playfully, not making fun of her being worried, but taking pleasure in knowing that she was. That she wanted to impress his family.
"Well then," she leaned up and pressed a kiss to his lips, "I'm ready when you are."
---
The brick house, though beautiful and everything she pictured to be typical of the Reagan family, seemed too large, which fit with her dress that felt too tight, and her heart, which felt too fast.
Jamie noticed her sudden uneasiness and patted her hand with his.
"You ready?" He asked, as he placed the car in park and unbuckled.
She nodded and tried to swallow back down her nervousness.
He smiled and jumped out of the car, making his way over to her side and helping her out. He mentally rolled his eyes at the comments he was sure were being passed around by his snooping family in the foyer of the house.
He let his hand rest on the small of her back as he guided her up the small walkway and then the steps.
Not surprising to him, his dad opened the door for them, wearing that brown sweater that made his eyes seem soft and his smile welcoming. He was silently thanking his dad for deciding to wear it today.
"Jamie. And I presume this is miss (Y/N)?”
She flushed slightly and nodded as she shook his hand on the way through the door.
"I'm Frank, Jamie's dad. It's lovely to meet you, finally."
He lended a wink in Jamie's direction and Jamie returned the favor by chuckling. (Y/N) smiled and returned the phrase, making both Jamie and Frank smile with fondness.
Frank then took Jamie's place and led her into the dining room, nodding at Jamie to pull the seat out for her as the rest of the family sat down. She smiled up at Jamie and thanked him quietly as the family smiled at the scene.
"Well (Y/N),” Frank started and her attention turned to him, but not before her eyes widened as she realized that this was it, this was Jamie's whole heart, his whole family here, right now.
Jamie sensed her nerves and placed his hand discreetly on her knee, rubbing it every now and then. She loosened at his touch and returned her full attention to Frank.
"I'll do the honors of introducing you to everyone and then we'll say grace. On my left here is Linda and Danny, my oldest son, and their two sons."
Linda smiled excitedly in her direction and Danny nodded his head. The two boys were mesmerized and Jamie knew why, (Y/N) looked stunning.
"And the man at the other end of the table would be my father, Henry, but we call him Pop."
Henry leaned up and shook her hand and she giggled as he complimented her, thanking him profusely.
"And to your left we have Nicki and her mother, my only daughter, Erin."
Nicki smiled a genuine smile at (Y/N) and Jamie knew that she was probably excited to have someone around who could relate to her better than anyone sitting at the table currently. Erin smiled with as much enthusiasm as, if not more than, Linda.
Jamie felt his heart was completely full as he looked around the table and saw everyone he loved around it.
Frank quickly said grace and the family began to eat.
(Y/N) was asked the normal questions, where are you from, do we know your parents, what's your job. She answered with enthusiasm and Jamie could see it in everyone's faces that they already loved her.
He knew the feeling, it wasn't hard to love her almost immediately upon meeting her.
Linda had just finished asking her about her job when Danny looked up at her, his serious investigation face on, and Jamie groaned inwardly.
"You don't have any warrants out do ya?"
He asked and surprising both him and everyone around the table, (Y/N) laughed.
Jamie expected Danny to be mad or surprised at least, but Danny began laughing with her and soon the whole table had joined in.
Jamie's hand found (Y/N)’s knee again and she smiled over at him.
"I like this one, Jamie."
Danny spoke through a laughter-ridden smile and Jamie smirked.
"I like this one too, Danny."
The table giggled again and soon everyone was standing up to clean.
(Y/N) helped carry plates and glasses back and forth and when the table was clean enough for Frank and Pop's standards, the girls whisked (Y/N) away before she could protest, and Jamie laughed as they did.
Danny came up beside him and wrapped an arm around his shoulders.
“Yeah. Ya did good kid."

First lines:
A day can change your whole life. It was that day.
Everyday feels like a dream to me.
I didn't knew that was the last time I saw him.
I can never forget the look in his eyes.
A day can change your whole life. It was that day.
His cold voice keeps ringing in my ear..
If I were to go back, I would definitely go back to that day.
Description prompts:
Every time you drink coffee, for half an hour, you say whatever you have been wanting to say. Today, you're having coffee with your co-workers.
A friend shows up drunk, late night at your house.
A deceased friend has left a last text for you.
A power failure during an elevator ride. You and your co-riders are stuck.
A small chat with a co-worker leads you to big revelation about work.
You wake up with red eyes and a sore throat. You are not sure what is happening to you.
There is a long queue at the coffee shop, you overhear something interesting.
A lot of your friends start ignoring you. You try to find the reason why.
A flirty co worker becomes obsessed with you after your rejection.
You fight with a co-worker you hate the most. As a punishment, you both are forced to work together.
A dear friend tells you a secret, he/she has never told anyone.
You can influence free will, as you misuse this power; things spiral out of control.
Instead of sleeping at night like you always do, you start wandering around the city. You discover strange things happening around.
I will add to this periodically.

Family Obligations
Prompt: Can you do an enimes to lovers story/one shot with Jamie Reagan? Like i feel it would be so different and interesting cause he’s seen as like such a golden boy and perfect guy so it’d be interesting to see him kinda not always being a nice guy
Requested by: @bat-luna-cat
You can feel your headache building; it’s a result of inane conversation, your mother bugging you to leave your job, and your father offering to pay for you to go back to school for any other career. You slip away from the conversation your mother had dragged you into, and head anywhere else.
You find a quiet little corner, and hide behind a ficus there. You watch from behind it as your big brother looks for you. You check your phone; you only need to stay for another hour. You can make it another hour, you’ve been managing these parties since you were old enough to walk.
Your phone buzzes a second later, and you see your partner’s name pop up on the scream, you answer it, “What’s up Reagan?”
There’s a moment of silence before he says, “Are you okay?”
“Why would you ask that?”
“Because you actually sound somewhat happy to hear from me? You’re never happy to hear from me.”
You roll your eyes, you’d been partners with Jamie for a little over six months. You had been the only detective willing to partner with the great Reagan legacy. Everyone else had been too scared, but you understood what it was like to have a family name to live up too. Of course, your legacy, a multi-billion dollar family business, was a lot different from the NYPD. And instead of embracing it, you had left it all behind and changed your name to become a cop. It was a choice your entire family hated.
Reagan had been less than friendly upon arriving. He’d recently had an engagement broken off, and apparently people in the past had tried to cozy up and get close to the Reagan dynasty.
I’m surrounded by family Reagan, even You are a welcome distraction. What’s up?”
“We’ve got a case.”
“Oh thank God. Can you pick me up?”
“Seriously?”
“What part of family event do you not understand?”
“Send me the address.”
You send off the text and a minute later you’re found by your older brother. You are then
Promptly introduced to no less than three prospective husbands, all of whom are friends with your him.
You’re trying to find a way out of the conversation with a man who is so slimy you feel like you need three showers from just talking to him. Then you spot him, and your eyes go wide. He’s dressed in jeans, a button down, and his badge is hanging around his neck. His lips quirk as you beg with your eyes for help.
He leaves you hanging for just a minute before he strides across the room. He draws eyes as he’s the only man who isn’t dressed in some sort of suit. He side steps around the men surrounding you, “You ready?”
You let out a breath, “You have no idea. Sorry boys, but work is calling.”
You take several steps before your mother cuts you off. Her smile is the one when she’s trying to save face and chastise you at the same time, “Y/N, sweetheart, where do you think you’re going?”
“Work. I’ve got a case. This is my partner, Jamie Reagan by the way.”
He holds out his hand, “Nice to meet you ma’am.” His hand and he are ignored.
You glare at your mother, “Mom.”
“Can’t work, wait? This is an important party for the company.”
“I don’t work for the company.”
“By your own choice.”
You let out a breath, “I’ve got to go mom.”
Silence follows you and Reagan out to the car. The drive and the bust are silent. So is the car ride home. He parks where you tell him, and you look at your partner, “Why don’t you come up, and I’ll explain my mother.”
“You really don’t have to.”
You nod, “Yeah, I do.”
He follows you up and whistles when he sees your place, “Wow. So you’re rich.”
You shrug, “Yes. My normal means. In my parent’s world I’m a little better than a pauper. I have my trust fund, which is more than most people will make in their entire lives, plus some smart investing means I’m pretty set for life.”
“And your parents are?”
You give their names as you pull two beers out of the fridge, and his eyes go wide, “You changed your last name.”
“Didn’t want the legacy, I just wanted to be me.”
He lets out a breath, “So when I started, and they said you volunteered to be my partner . . .?”
“I was trying to be nice. I understood the pressure that came with that, and plus everyone else was too scared. No offense, but I have nothing to be afraid of.”
“And your family?”
“Hate that I’m a cop. I was supposed to take over the marketing part of the business. My parents didn’t know I’d gotten a degree in criminal justice until I was walking across the stage at graduation.”
He takes a sip and settles on the couch next to you, “I was supposed to be a lawyer. Went to Harvard and everything. . .”
“You regret it?”
“Nope. You?”
“Nope.”
There’s another moment of silence before you say, “You know what would really freak my parents out?”
“What?”
“If I showed up with you at the next event?”
He laughs, “Why?”
“Because, while I may not have a fancy business degree, I still have the potential to land a rich husband, pop out two kids, and head a bunch of charities. I bring you, and I’ve fully ruined any and all of their dreams for me.”
“You’re a little demented.”
“Come on. This is supposed to be what partners do, have each other’s back, be best friends, and all that shit.”
He laughs, “Says who?”
“Every cop movie ever.”
“I’ll think about it.”
You wait another minute before asking, “Does this mean you’re going to be nice to me now?”
His eyes go wide, “I’ve always been . . .” You give him a look and he shrugs, “My last fiance was my last partner.”
“Last fiance?”
“I’ve had two.”
You place a hand on his shoulder, “How about this, we do the buddy buddy thing, and I promise that if you ever propose, I’ll say no.”
“You promise?”
“Swear on my life.”
The two of you shake on it. Of course the jokes on him two years later, when you propose to him, and he says yes.
