HALLOWEEN IN THE TIMES OF THE VIRUS - (Spook Hollow) Jackson, Missouri. 2020. Robbie and Sammie Huntington don their spookiest best during the Coronavirus Halloween of 2020. Robbie is the Plague Doctor and Sammie is a lurking Grim Reaper awaiting his turn to collect. These images were shot in a real Haunted Cemetery known as Spook Hollow (Old McKendree Cemetery). They fit right in. Their choices of costume were theirs - they are weird, like their Mother. GRAVES OF HAUNTED "SPOOK HOLLOW" CEMETERY - Old McKendree Cemetery on "Spook Hollow Road" (South Old Orchard Road) in Jackson, Missouri. This rural farming area holds some of the earliest European settlements dating to the early 1800s. The oldest Protestant church west of the Mississippi (The Old McKendree Chapel) - and it's congregation's cemetery - can be found in this reported "haunted hollow" where spooklights and spookmists have alleged to have been seen over the centuries. It is an eerie place to be alone at night. GOATS AND GARGOYLES ON INTERSTATE 55 - Fruitland, Missouri. A duo of daring goats sit atop a Triceratops (say that fast five times) at Concrete Castings of Fruitland located just off of Interstate-55. This place houses hundreds of interesting yard sculptures ranging from the beautiful to the monstrous. It also host a makeshift "Zoo" that - at times - has an eclectic variety of animals: camels, peacocks, pigs, goats, llamas, horses, cows, etc. - all of which adds a quirky character to the place and helps occupy the kids. Great sculpture art (which they do sell) and a fun vibe is to be found at this cool roadside attraction.
