This comic starts out so dramatic like "Oh god we're going back to Apokolips, we're both so traumatized by Apokolips. What if we can't escape again???" And then they both show up and Barda just starts wrecking shit and Scott's like "Go, babe, go!!"

Also I love all of the little mechanical limitations and bits Jack Kirby shoves in there--like that the Mega-Rod can't fly and shoot at the same time. Dude loves gadgets and vehicles SO MUCH but he makes a point of giving them specific uses so he can make room for MORE GADGETS.
