judgement is really fucked up no matter which character your looking at it from but damn imagine being paeon. you live in the castle and have a pretty comfortable life then one day ypu hear your father and the man next in line for king talking about framing someone for murder when the king dies. so then you decide to help the people accused of killing the king escape, because you can't bring yourself to watch innocents be punished for something they didn't do, even if doing the right thing would completely upend your current life. you help and lose quite literally everything you had. and then you learn No Actually one of them did kill that guy and you did all that shit for nothing

how do i go from cry-laughing at the trojan horse to just plain crying at mel's interaction with her mum?

also, i was already shocked at the reveal but then buck saying "i might never see my baby" and paeon going "i threw everything away" hit me that mel's actions actually ruined three separate people's lives. but i can't bring myself to be completely angry at mel either because it's so obvious that her actions were motivated by a warped kind of love, so obvious that her parents have some hold over her that she can't break out of to be her own person

This episode was so so good, I loved it. The character development was amazing, the future thinkers can get fucked, Troy 'Pretty Boy' Lougferd my beloved. I'm still anticipating the reveal of his father and what's up with Tramilton, but with the return to Reclaim, I feel that may not be for some time
