Resident Evil 2 Remake: Leon vs. Claire, A/B Scenario
When you start the game, you can pick either:
Leon A
Claire A
Once you beat the game, you get an option called “New Game [2nd Run]”. This will let you play:
Leon B
Claire B
However, you only get the B scenario of the opposite character whose A scenario you beat. i.e.
Leon A --> Claire B
Claire A --> Leon B
(Beating a B scenario will also unlock the opposing B scenario.)
That’s because Leon A and Claire B occur simultaneously, as do Claire A and Leon B. In the A scenario you’re picking the main character, and then in the other character’s B scenario you follow what the unpicked character was doing during said A scenario.
This basic idea was in the original Resident Evil 2 also, but it was considerably more indepth there, and has kind of been nerfed for the remake. This was done because the development team felt modern gamers would find having four very different stories with interconnecting gameplay to be very tedious to go through, or... something like that..?
Changes from original RE2
The same character’s A/B scenario are much more similar than before.
Tyrant, who was formerly B-exclusive, appears in A scenarios too.
“Zapping” is no longer a thing. (This caused consumable items you picked up in an A scenario to be missing from its mated B scenario.)
In addition to Ada, you now also play as Sherry once. (It sucks.)
The B scenarios contain weapons based on the Locker Key from the original game. (Leon still holds his the same way.)
Differences between A/B of same character
The B scenario starts where Leon and Claire split up; you don’t have to watch the intro or do the gas station sequence.
The A character enters the police station through the front door, while the B character enters through a side door. This causes the order of visiting parts of the P.D. to be very different, which affects which items and weapons you can acquire at what points.
Puzzle solutions are different.
Item placements are different.
Ammo is harder to find in B scenario.
Ending is different.
Differences between Leon and Claire
General
Each character has exclusive rooms / bosses.
The support character and their gameplay are different.
The final boss is fought differently.
Leon
is a cop trying to investigate an incident and works to that end
has relatively straight-forward “BANG!” weapons
Weapons:
Matilda Pistol
[B Scenario] M19 Pistol
W-870 Shotgun
Lightning Hawk Magnum
Chemical Flamethrower
[Final Boss] Anti-Tank Rocket Launcher
You play as Ada and do secret agent hacking.
Claire
is a big sis trying to protect her family and works to that end
has gimmicky weapons that are harder to use than Leon’s
Weapons:
SLS 60 Pistol
[B Scenario] Quickdraw Army Revolver
GM 79 Grenade Launcher
JMB Hp3 Handgun
MQ11 SMG
Spark Shot
[Final Boss] Minigun
You play as Sherry and do (awful) little kid stealth.
Anything else?
I’ve spent a long time on this post already; I’m too tired to look up any other differences. Sorry. x_x

The Unavailability of Suitable Alternatives Acts as a Major Driver for the Cadmium Pigments Market | 2013 – 2019
Global Cadmium Pigments Market: Overview
Cadmium pigments refer to a class of pigments that contain cadmium as one of the chemical components. Cadmium is predominantly used in batteries, which is followed by their use in pigments. Apart from these, cadmium pigments are used in glasses, ceramics, plastics, and other products.
The booming consumer goods industry, which accounts for large volume consumption of plastics is tremendously contributing to the growth of the cadmium pigments market. The plastics sector accounts for almost 75% of the consumption of cadmium pigments. The pigment has the ability to diffuse in several polymers and provides tinting strength, superior cooling, and high opacity. On top of this, cadmium pigments display exellent quality of color fastness in polymers that often lasts a lifetime.
Cadmium pigments are increasingly being used in advanced complex polymers. Complex polymers such as high density polyethylene, silicone resins, nylon, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polycarbonates, and other thermoplastic polymers extensively use cadmium pigments as these polymers are processes at very high temperature, which rules out the possibility of use of organic pigments and most of the inorganic pigments.
The report presents a pin-point analysis of the growth trends, market dynamics, and competitive structure that will impact the growth of the global cadmium pigments market for the 2013-2019 period.

Global Cadmium Pigments Market: Drivers and Restraints
The major factors driving the cadmium pigments market are due to the properties of cadmium of resistance to high temperature, low melting point, good electrical conductivity, and high corrosion resistance. Cadmium pigments are also extensively used in industrial paints. The chemical inertness and high temperature resistance of cadmium pigments make them suitable for steam pipes and chemical containers. Due to the physical and chemical properties of cadmium pigments, there are no substantial alternatives and are rarely imitated by other inorganic pigments. The unavailability of suitable alternatives acts as a major driver for the cadmium pigments market.
However, the growth of the cadmium pigments market is restrained due to several factors. Individuals exposed to cadmium are subject to health problems with kidney and lungs being mostly affected due to prolonged exposure to cadmium pigments. Cadmium pigments are non-essential for human beings and their proper disposal is of prime importance. Cadmium if released in the soil or water bodies enters the food chain from where it is absorbed into the human body.
In 2011, the European Union banned the use of cadmium pigments for all plastics. This development is restraining the growth of the Europe cadmium pigments market. Mostly all countries discourage the extensive use of cadmium pigments due to its inherent environmental concerns. Nevertheless, lack of safer alternatives to cadmium pigments will lead to a steady growth of the global cadmium pigments market in the foreseeable future.

H2O2 - used to make bombs, found in Bangladesh militant hideout
DHAKA, BANGLADESH: Police in Bangladesh have found at least 17 large containers of hydrogen peroxide, a chemical used to make bombs, from a suspected militant hideout in Jhenaidah district, IANS reported.
The recovery was made after members of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit resumed their operation for the second day at a house used by the suspected Neo-Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) militants in the morning, The Daily Star reported.
"Some of the bombs have been already disposed of. As many as 14 containers filled with liquid have been found. The 30-litre containers are marked hydrogen peroxide," a senior police official told bdnews24.
The members claimed to have recovered a huge pile of explosives including three suicide vests, a pressure cooker bomb, around 20 plastic containers of bomb-making chemicals and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and detonators.
Security has been tightened in Bangladesh since Neo JMB militants attacked a cafe in Dhaka's upscale Gulshan area on July 1 last year, killing 22 people, mostly foreigners.
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is one of the most common household chemical used in wide range of applications such as packaging, chemical synthesis, cosmetics & medicine, electronics, food processing, pulp & paper, textile bleaching and much more.
One of the deadliest use of H2O2 is for making organic peroxide-based explosives, such as acetone peroxide specifically, triacetone triperoxide, for unplanned explosive devices. This may be a weapon of choice for terrorists.
Hydrogen peroxide itself also acts as an explosive in high concentrations when placed in an absorbent. These explosives tend to degrade quickly and hence are not used as commercial or military explosives.
Effects of H2O2:
Harmful if swallowed in excess quantity
Overexposure is poisonous to skin
Causes severe skin burns and eye damage
Fatal if inhaled in very large quantity
May also cause death
In March, CTTC officials busted five hideouts of 'Neo JMB'—two in Chittagong, one in Sylhet and two in Moulvibazar. 19 people, including 5 children and 5 women, were killed in those raids.
According to police, 16 of them were killed in suicide blasts. 'Neo JMB', which is believed to be affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS), has also been blamed for the Gulshan cafe attack in 2016 in which 22 people, including 17 foreigners and two police officials, were killed.

What is a Granular Activated Carbon Water Filter?
Website: www.jmbcarbon.com
Tumblr media
Activated carbon water filters are a popular choice for various water treatment systems, including countertop systems, whole-house filters, and portable water pitcher filters. These filters use adsorption to catch impurities, and are made from raw materials like coal or coconut shell, which are naturally rich in carbon.
Coconut shell carbon is becoming increasingly popular due to its environmental benefits and larger proportion of micropores on its surface. There are several types of activated carbon filters, with some allowing bigger particles through while others trap them.
The adsorption process involves large pollutants being caught in the minuscule holes, and the carbon material bonds to the smaller contaminants, preventing them from passing through the pores with the water particles. Activated carbon block filters, made of compacted blocks of carbon, capture various types of pollutants in their medium, allowing for longer contact times with the filter.
Activated carbon filters are useful for removing contaminants removals, such as chlorine and unpleasant tastes and odors from drinking water. They effectively remove organic compounds like chlorine, VOCs, lead PFOS, trihalomethanes (THMs), herbicides, and pesticides.
