Please help 😅 I think there is something or some conversation l have missed in JIKOOK’s timeline. Something about our Jimin getting so upset that he left the members and went home to heal from some trauma caused by V & Jk ?? The next we heard about him was when he was hospitalised suffering from covid?? Please fill in the blanks for me if you know any deets.. l would be grateful. No pressure though😂🫶🏽

But let's look at the timeline why don't we?

At least what we know of it.

JM was hospitalized end of January 2022. Not because of covid but because of his appendix, and when in hospital tested positive for covid.

This followed the group going on a break after their 4 concerts in LA in November 2021.

Last time we had all three together was in their live on 28 November 2021. That was a chaotic super happy live. Only bullying I can think of, jokingly, would be Tae constantly mentioning brand names he wasn't supposed to, lol.

Then JK and JM returned to Korea with Jin. Just the three of them. They were supposed to go into quarantine as they returned, separately, as the government rules stated, and yet JK waited for JM at the airport upon their arrival thinking that they will be sharing a car only for the two to be separated.

There is absolutely, and I repeat absolutely NOTHING to show that there was anything wrong between JM and JK at that place and time!!!

JM and JK were fine, and there was no bullying going on from Tae and JK. What AO3 fanfic is that even?

As for the stupidity I've been hearing of since Ep. 3 of Are you sure? JK and V bullying JM, like wtf is wrong with people?

Every time I think people have reached the limit of being the worst they just prove that they can surpass themselves.

I think people lack basic ideas of human interactions if they claim that the playfulness we saw in that episode can be called bullying. If that's bullying then every single time those three played throughout the years would also be. These are 3 young men who grew up together and at times roughhouse. Like men do.

I've kind of lost hope in trying to explain to these people, who love to see JM as a victim, and therefore think they are his knights in shining armour, that JM is a grown ass man who knows exactly how to put both JK and Tae in their places if he wanted to!!! He's got the physical strength to do so, not to mention the personality too. He's known to have done both, when he wanted. And here's the news flash. Maybe he didn't want to! JM knows how to be assertive. Being such a nice human being doesn't make him a weak human being. I think that many of those that claim to love him and want to protect him either don't know him at all or want him to be weak so they can show up as his great protectors against the big bad JK, whom they would love to get rid of, cause he's just not good enough for JM, in their warped reality. Perhaps because they want JM for themselves.

JK is the person that JM loves most in this world.

The person that stood by JM's side and supported him when he was going through the turmoil he was experiencing during the pandemic.

The person that JM wanted to go on these trips with and came up with the idea to create this show so that they can go on these trips together.

The person that he flew from Korea to NY to be with for his solo debut.

The person that he can't stop talking about and bringing up in conversations that have really nothing to do with him, like during the Minimoni album exchange.

The man he chose to write a song for and write these lines to:

The person he chose to enlist with and be with for the 18 months of their military service, even though it meant a more difficult placement, even though it would raise eyebrows and questions marks seeing that the two are the first ever idols, both in their late 20s to do this!!

I've said this once I've said this a thousand times. People need to go live their lives and stop looking for drama where it doesn't exist in JM and JK's life.

They are together.

They are good.

Even if they are idols and public figures.

Even if they are two gorgeous young men who happen to love each other and are, god forbid, in a queer relationship.

Even if being in a queer relationship in their industry and society is frowned upon.

All those don't mean that their relationship isn't just a normal stable long term relationship with everything that such a loving relationship entails, including the struggles.

Enough with trying to insert drama where there is none.

I hope you don’t mind if i add my two cents. I read this ask and realized that we as human beings really have a problem seeing these idols as actual human beings who have layers and complicated feelings.

This non shipper anon mentioned that Jikook stopped being as close around 2021 but that is definitely not true. First of all, many shippers especially taekookers feel like there was a sudden uptick in jikook moments around a certain time (2017) but that is not true at all. Go back and watch content from the very beginning and pay attention to the boys talk on Lives, during festas and other moments and you discover that Jk and Jimin had always been very close. Jimin was the one who Jk spoke to when he got back from the US and contemplated abandoning his dream to become an idol and go for dancing instead.

In a log they did in 2013, we had Jimin and Jungkook telling us that the two of them were in the habit of putting blankets and sleeping together on the floor outside their rooms. The very first bangtan bomb that was ever posted was a of Jk taking videos of Jimin back in 2013. During Festa 2014, we heard from the members that Jk usually piled clothes on his bed to go sleep in Jimin’s bed and even back then, when Jk was asked which hyung comforted him the most, he said it was Jimin. Fast forward to 2015 when Tae did a Live from Japan in the hotel room that he shared with Jimin and mentioned that Jimin and Jk were together even though the 3 of them had planned to do a Live together or in 2016 where Jimin was the first member Jk ever gave a birthday gift to. I am listing some of these moments chronologically just to show u that Jimin and Jungkook had always been close, very close infact it’s just that jikook as a ship gained excess popularity in 2017 after Jungkook posted GCF in Tokyo. So it’s not really that there became an uptick in Jikook moments from there, it is that people started paying more attention to Jikook after Jungkook’s GCF. The best way to see some if these things is to watch Vlives and bangtan bombs from pre 2017 era and you will see what i am saying.

As i mentioned before, non shipper anon said Jikook used to be close till like 2021 and mentioned that their last sighting outside of work was around march 2022 but that’s not true at all. Remember that in PTD Vegas Jikook were joined at the hip, they left the concert venue together on all 4 days of the concert and one of those days, they went out to eat with Yoongi and staff and some non shipper Armys visited the restaurant they went to in Vegas and said they were told that Jikook sat together on one table and yoongi sat on another with staff. Plus Jimin and Jk still boxed together with Tommy Saem (Jk’s boxing coach) and based on that April 2022 Live with Vminkookkhope, jikook were even on a diet together. So many times people forget to facture in the point that Jimin started working on his album in May. Immediately after PTD in Vegas Jimin moved in with Pdogg to work on his album because he literally had nothing prepared so i can imagine that during that period, Jk and Jimin didn’t spend as much time together because Jimin was busy and i also noticed that Taekook seemed to get really closer during that period. Infact we all saw taekook hang out outside of work more frequently by the end of 2022 and part of 2023 than we had seen in all their 10 years of being BTS. Like anon said, jikook were the ones always together everywhere both in and outside of work. Even in 2021 while they were in LA, we found out that Jikook worked out together everyday, came back from concerts together, ate together and untop of that, Jk spent alot of time in Jimin’s room hanging out with him. So i feel like the distance we sensed between jikook starting 2022 was mainly because of how busy Jimin got. It tracks.

I am not someone who really believes that any of the members are dating each other but i know that Jimin and Jungkook have and have always had an extremely close bond since debut. It wasn’t always very visible because of their somewhat complicated dynamic and because of the fact that other pairings like taekook, yoonmin and Vmin overshadowed jikook but that bond had always been there and if you pay attention, you see it.

I believe that taekook too have always been close but i also believe that there was a period where they grew a little distant. I know that, that is not something taekookers will ever agree about but it is clear to me because i have been in this fandom since the end of 2015 and have watched alot of things unfold. I agree that jikook were paired up alot at some point but i think that was because of their chemistry and closeness and not because BH had some agenda to push. How does pairing pple in subunits potray them as closest or a couple? Jikook as a ship gained recognition and popularity not because of the company but because of Jungkook and his GCF and yes seeing them together alot on content enforces certain beliefs but did yoh ever think of how you saw them? What are they doing when you see them on content? Most times you see them together in the back even when they are not the main focus of the camera or you see them coming and going together or you see them staying back to rehearse or practice together, or you see them staying back to watch and support each other during their solo practices, or you hear members talking about them as a unit. Hobi saying Jk and Jimin always stay up late together, or Joon saying after watching Jimin and Jk run around/ get along so well he got inspired or Tae mentioning on more than one occasion that Jk and Jimin were spending time together late at night, or Hobi saying that he ate with Jikook who ordered food together. It’s not one thing and certainly not company content that gives people the impression that jikook are extremely close.

Even in chapter two where it was clear that those two probably didn’t see each other as much, anyone could still feel how much they love and missed each other, especially Jungkook with his Jimin centric Lives and constantly inviting Jimin to come over for chicken, boxing, lives etc. Those two are really good friends who are very important to each other and it is normal that sometimes, when life happens and people get busy, some distance creeps in. I feel like that is what happened with Jikook after 2022. They started doing different things, Jimin working on two albums at once, Jk not working on anything and was bored outta his mind up to the extent that at some point, my man was visiting almost all the meat restaurants in korea all alone lol and then he started hanging out with Tae alot after that and then later got busy again. That is life.

I'm not going to assume this is your intent but tangentially, I'm feeling real tired of "JK hung out with Tae cos Jimin wasn't available."

Tae is only valuable when someone else isn't available? That's dehumanising.

But I'm sure that's not what you're saying because you at least recognise Taekook are close and aren't total strangers who got invited seperately to the Dreamiere and just happened to bump into each other.

Jimin was recording an album, he wasn't in solitary confinement?! Tae and JK recorded albums last year too? They all found time to go to Jeju together when JK was undoubtedly busy with album stuff.

Oh I don't know. It's ok if Jikook didn't see each other cos they didn't want to and made time for other people during their schedules, man. TKKrs accept there are times when it looks like JK and Tae might have been beefing. That is also life.

QUICKIE - 2: Watchu Want Me To Say Tho?!...

[Music is a very big part of my life and I’m MOSTLY INCAPABLE of writing without music, so I just thought I'd share what I am listening to while writing this]

I know, I know, I know .. I have blogs to complete, comments to reply and asks waiting for me to answer; I know. There are reasons for the lack thereof, of course, but today, today I will not stay here and bore you with My Lifes’ Whys, I’m currently feeling a heavy wave of sadness, which I am starting to finally recognise as a sign that my period is looming. Used to only have pain, but now I’ve evolved to heave-ass sadness ungracefully tiptoeing its way into depression, which given some personal stuff and very recent Tannie Jin specifically stuff, couldn’t have come at a worse time. But I digress, as I said, today I shall not share negative stuff.

Instead, I’d like to share a cute/funny/peculiar thing that I realised/noticed Jikook do from time to time when they start something with each other and one of them proceeds to perhaps take it a bit too far until the other is left in a situation where they are like: “Whatchu Want Me To Say Tho?! …” NGL, most of it is usually JM, but JK has his fair share;source: Trust Me Bro. As this is a “quickie” I’ll bring up 3 examples for each. Let’s start with JM.

#1 … IT’S JUST A GAME THO.

Time & Place: RUN BTS 15 - Aired March 14, 2017.

This was the second episode of “The Spy Who Returned” 3 parts RUN BTS episodes. At the very beginning of the episode, they are playing a “tolerance” game where they are divided into couples and each has to say something that they don’t like or that bothered them about the other and the other has to not be offended and “sincerely” state that they “understand/I see”. The couples were: Tae & Namjoon, JM & Jin and JK and Hobi (Yoongi was the host).

JK & Hobi went last and though JK had nothing to say, Hobi did, lots to say in fact 😂, which in itself would have been enough but JM, out of nowhere, had the not-so-brilliant impulse to get up in there, uncalled, to question JK about a mysterious toothbrush. JK is clearly taken-aback like all of us watching I am sure given that he and JM are in the same team. Yet JM doesn’t stop, he clearly wants to hear something from JK in regards to … the toothbrush. JK does reply, and says that the toothbrush wasn’t his and JM stands there speechless, seemingly not expecting that answer … oh the confusion of it all! …  which is why JK’s “it wasn’t me” actually really felt to me more like a: “Whatchu Want Me To Say Tho?! …” .

This to me in “Whatchu Want Me To Say Tho?! …”-vibe is very close to the “JK hugs me when he sleeps” moment which happened at the Sinchon Fansign - May 15, 2015.

#2 SO MUCH FOR PRESENTS …

Time & Place: FESTA 2017 - Aired June 12, 2017.

We’ve actually already discussed this in a different previous post. This was one of the few times where JK wasn’t able to even try and reply to something. If it were me, and we were just friends, you’d have to wait for me to gift you something on your next birthday: YES I’M PETTY. Yet, homeboi pulled up that same year with a trip to Tokyo as a gift, so obviously the problem wasn’t the question itself. What was the problem? We will most likely never know, but in that very moment JK’s silence was definitely a: “Whatchu Want Me To Say Tho?! …” silence.

#3 SO YOU GETTING MARRIED UH?

Time & Place: WEVERSE LIVE in Busan - October 15, 2022.

This is one of my recent personal favs, because as opposed to the Jikook VLIVE - June 21, 2020, which also had to do with a marriage related question, this time around JK tried his very best to not divert the convo and hold his own. Yeah, he really did … but JM was not having it. He really wasn’t. How many of you have said “Yoongi Marry Me” for fun? How many of them have said “Yoongi Marry Me” for fun, including JM? At times even changing the Subject all in good fun.

This time around, JK simply mentioned that saw “Jungkook Marry Me” and all hell broke loose. Yeah, for some reason, JM wasn’t having it, and so began a little back-and-forth between the two at the end of which JM accepted that in summary JK “just saw the sign and meant to take no action”. JM smiled/laughed, got up and got out of frame. JK also smiled, watching JM leave, with a: “Whatchu Want Me To Say Tho?! …” giggle, like I don’t even know what just happened tho! aaand he proceeded to wait for him to get back like:

Jiminah … 😬.

And now it’s JK’s turn. Differently from JM this young man is a tad more determined in getting his answers and JM indulges, for the most part, in fact I’ve noticed that he’s never just kept silent, but don’t let it fool you, cause at times, whatever answer he provides wasn’t the answer JK was looking for; lest we forget that JM is indeed the HYUNG … but yeah, let’s get it!

#1 SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PICTURE …

Time & Place: JinJiKook VLIVE in Osaka - December 15, 2016.

Jin and Jimin decide to have a candy-centric episode of EatJin, and Jimin seems to be a bit on his mischievous streak right from the bat, but Jin, being the outstanding eldest hyung that he is doesn’t seem to mind at all and cutely goes along with his playful dongsaeng. All is well thus far until the bell rings and, you’ve guessed, it is JK.

By this point Jin, like all of us, is still very much oblivious to any argument/quarrel which might have happened between JM and JK, one may even dare say that frankly my dears, he didn’t give a damn! But JM had damns to give and so he did, testing JK on the other side of Jin’s closed hotel room. Jin is now starting to get confused and to this point, JM has full control of the whole situation, until JK whips out his cellphone. 

Quite clearly JM didn’t take JK seriously, at first, he even egged him to post “whatever questionable pic” JK thought he had but that was Jin’s danger-alert-signal moment: no questionable pic was going to be uploaded on his watch and that’s how the doors were finally opened to the maknae. So, once JK got his way into the room, Jin, and us watching, clearly could sense something going on, but as for what exactly, nobody had a good clue. Like anything else revolving around Jikook afterall, for example, we may know that they once fought and JK ended up crying in the rain (FESTA 2020 - Aired June 12, 2020), but as to what caused the argument? … 🤷🏾‍♀️.

JM at this point is still trying to have it his way don’t ask me why, how would I know?! But JK was high on courage that day and ever so casually, the moment JM tried to leave the room, he once again whipped out his phone, pulled up a particular pic which we got to see later as JK did momentarily uploaded and it seemed he had something like a hickey on his neck and simply said “I took a good selfie” and JM quickly sat back down and replied “I won’t go then, all right” in a very: “Whatchu Want Me To Say Tho?! …” resigned manner. Then again, if the selfie was just that, a good selfie, JM could have easily said “sure, go ahead and show them”, but that’s not what happened right? 

#2 STILL, YOU TURNED IT OFF 

Time & Place: Jungkook (eventually TaeJiJinKook) VLIVE in New Jersey - May 19, 2019.

Yet again, Jin and Jimin were up to their shenanigans with our maknae, who just wanted to show his face to ARMY. That’s all he wanted but the other two ended the stream. So what does one do? If you are a JM you post a quick apology video on twitter, but if you are a JK you start your own stream: obviously. 

This stream is supposed to be just you doing exactly what you wanted to do to begin with, show your face to ARMY, but then … all of a sudden there is a cough in the background and the plan folds when do plans every work anyways?!, immaright?.

Hence starts a whole convo summarising what just happened in Jin’s room leading up to JK’s “cutting off” during which not only does JM explain himself, he also apologises and lets JK once again know that he loves him. Yet, JK still stresses that, he just👏🏾 can’t 👏🏾let👏🏾 it 👏🏾go👏🏾 at which point JM decides that it is time for him to leave in a very: “Whatchu Want Me To Say Tho?! …” fashion, more like “what else do you want me to say?!”. 

#3 I SEE HOW IT IS …

Time & Place: FESTA 2022 - June 14, 2022.

Emotions are running high, slightly tipsy, but still hella high as the boys start getting us ready to momentarily part from them. Within all of this there is a lot, A LOT, of banter there are even first official talk of a PJM1 and everyone was hella excited, ARMY and TANNIES alike except for a certain JK who playfully made it known that he didn’t appreciate not knowing about progress in said PJM1, not once, not twice, not thrice, but 4 times (didn’t put the 4th time in the pic because, you know, aesthetics 😌).

JM does try to explain that he’d told everyone that they were all more than welcome to go and listen to him working if they wanted though apparently JK wanted his hyung to go to him instead, but that is a different story … in addition, when Namjoon pointed out that Hobi will always be the first for JM, both JM and Hobi quickly worked together to deny the “accusations” but at this point I think JK was very much speeding on the “I AM UPSET”-train, so much so that none of it seemed to matter and he very much and very blatantly ended up telling JM:

At which JM did reply, quickly, shyly and all the colors in between, that “I am sorry” but in a very: I mean “Whatchu Want Me To Say Tho?! …” way, and who knows, were the cameras not on he might have had more to add, but, we’ll never know!

There are actually many more moments I can think of, and much funny at that, but this was supposed to be a quickie, and I can see that it ain’t damn … So let me just leave you all with this, go make myself productive, and not stress about life for a second or two. Biography

RM started as an underground rapper in Seoul, where he gained popularity to the point of being noticed and recruited by Big Hit Entertainment. A hip-hop group that then evolved to be a K-pop group was formed around him and he was appointed the leader.

While slowly but surely leading BTS at the top of the musical world, he shared his view on life and empathized with oppressed communities, from his inclusion of the LGBT community in song lyrics to his speech at the UN. He has always been invested in the writing, the composition and later the production of BTS songs. Yet, he still found the time for more personal projects, especially in 2015, the year he did the most solo activites.

Counting down to JK's Birthday

Here is a little reminder of how Jungkook has previously spent his birthdays as a member of BTS.

2021

Jungkook was on vlive for over two and a half hours for his birthday in 2021. Hobi popped in at midnight for the cake and some spoilers.

2020

Jungkook's 2020 birthday coincided with Dynamite hitting number one in the Billboard chart so there was an extended live to celebrate both these important events. It was a great day for all of them.

Jimin was on cake duty.

We also heard that Jimin and Jungkook had been together to welcome in JK's birthday and hear the Billboard news. This was later confirmed in the clip below.

2019

Here is the photo that Jimin posted for Jungkook's 2019 birthday. He and Hobi were there to celebrate with Jungkook.

2018

Jungkook said at the beginning of the video that he didn't get as excited about birthdays as he used to. So world weary already JK?

Well at least Jimin was determined you should have a proper birthday. Here he is preparing the cake.

This was during the period when Jimin was asking for and offering kisses on film.

2014

2013

A lot of unnecessary teasing went on on JK's 17th birthday. The BTS Episode is pretty painful to watch. A whole drama was planned and all of his hyungs were in on it. Obviously they didn't expect him to react as he did but it was fairly predictable.

The plan was for the manager and the members to tell Jungkook off for not performing and pulling his weight in the team. Can you imagine how that would feel for someone as dedicated and perfectionist as Jungkook? When they finally get round to giving him his cake he is totally overcome and bursts into tears.

Jimin seems to realise that they have gone too far and stays close by for the rest of the video.

Even in the group photo you can see that he is still upset and Jimin stays by his side here.

But funnily enough at the end of the video he still called it his best birthday ever.

I mean i found their relationship very serious.It seems to me like they are not just boyfriends at this point..it's almost 7 years i think their dating period??? Bcz acc to me after mid 2015 they took their relationship further than friends and 2016 or 2017 i think they become more serious in the relationship. Genuine question?

Has Jungkook promoted the others albums the same way he’s watched and listened to jimins. I haven’t watched all his lives as I don’t have the time and genuinely don’t know or don’t remember if he had or not. Like I’m like 50% sure he listened to wildflower or atleast played it on his live in like Jan-Feb but I don’t really know. Has be mentioned or played or watched any of SUGA’s recent album? My memory is really bad.

Like is it normal behaviour what he did for Jimin or a bit more compared to the others, has he played or interacted with the other members albums at all? I’m pretty sure if I remember correctly he may have played songs from Indigo + Jack in the Box but idk outside of that or if I’m right at all.

Like does anyone have the full rundown of what members projects he’s played + watched on Live since Jack in the box. I literally only remember him coming by Jimin’s practice & Hobi’s photoshoot/release party & playing Set me free MV and other jimin videos.

The answer is no.

He did watch Hobi's song way back in a live in 2022.

He also talked about Yoongi's concert and how he's seen it and wants to go see it live (which he did).

I'm not even sure he played songs from Indigo now that I'm thinking about it, maybe Flower-works. Yeah, I think he watched Flower works. I'd have to go back check, and forgive me, but I just can't be bothered, lol.

And I'm not just being a shit here. I don't feel like checking cause even if he did listen to a song that's exactly it - a song. Perhaps a couple of words about how cool that member is. And that would be a wrap.

What he most definitely did not do for the other members, and this is carved in stone:

Did not watch or listen multiple times to the same songs.

Did not watch interviews and shows with other members.

Did not watch compilations centered around the other members.

Did not repeat this continuously over several lives.

Did not plan ahead, set up scenarios (the guitar for instance) and give us spoilers for other member's songs or album or clips or choreos.

That, my friend, is JM exclusive.

And that is also why it was so damn loud.

And got many knickers in a knot in the fandom.

More so while folding JM's tiny red Calvin's.

And why so many in this fandom are yearning for a MV with JK 'proving' (this is where I link George Michael's careless whisper) he ain't into JM.

Cause, as you know already, JK ain't no gay, I have a whole expose series to prove it.

Go and see just how much JM overload we got from JK starting on White day (previous Feb and Mar lives had him melt over JM comments, but the spoilers and JM promotion love fest started on White day with his "something very exciting is happening in half an hour" and fly away spoiler - oh, and maybe even an Angel pt. 1 spoiler too, let's not forget about that one).

Yeah-nah, no precedent to the way he promoted JM.

JM was and is his one and only.

Which year do you think jikook gotten together.

Im not considering 2015 coz it was a heavy crushing tym and I don't think they were mature enough to take this big decision. Jk was barely adult. I think they both knew they liked each other and that was it. And by end of 2015 jk was craving for jm which go throughout orange min era.

In 2016 also I'm not getting a committed relationship vibe. For me it was the year they were experimenting things. Trying to get to know

Each other physically or mentally. Things were getting hot in mid 2016 But clearly there was a push n pull in power dynamics especially towards end of 2016. And I don't think they still were not the partner the other person wanted. They were still growing and exploring. JM getting new friends outside bts n all.

I think until mid 2017 they were still in this stage of push and pull trying to get the proper balance.

But then things started to get a little smoother and then Tokyo trip happend which brought them even closer physically and emotionally, thus gcft happened.

So i think they gotten into a committed relationship phase in end of 2017 or 2018.

Then 2018-19 were free jikook fests basically not able to keep hands off each other, they were literally glued.

In 2020 pandemic happend and they were in home and it showed us more domestic jikook. Still glued but there's much more maturity in relationship since 2020 , in 2021 it continues (though we are getting less behind scenes this yr)

It feels good to see 2 boys growing together as friends , crush , getting together, boyfriends and finally in a committed relationship. Now they look like couple of 10 yrs with 2 pets lmao.

Hi Anon. I partly agree with you. I think their relationship grew slowly, and gradually turned into something more than friendship, and maybe they didn’t even recognize it themselves that how and when this happened. Therefore I can't give a certain answer to your question because we can't say for sure when they saw themselves as a couple, but there are many theories about this subject.

These theories tell us about the turning points in their relationship These turning points happened in most of the eras and they start way before 2015, and obviously, it wasn’t romantic until a certain point. First, in Skool Luv Affair era (early 2014), they became closer as friends. Not that they weren’t close before, but they started to spend more time together and do stuff together like making a birthday video for Hobi or writing their Festa profiles.

Then in the summer of 2014, after AHL and Danger era, they had another turning point. I don't know how to explain it, but I feel like they both became more self-aware. Also, K-Jikookers have theories about them spending 2014 Chuseok together and watching Begin Again movie which kinda makes sense, but still theories.

And then we have INU era when most of us agree that the major turning point happened at this time, and they started to realize their feelings, I have a full analysis about this era, you can read here. Then comes Run era when JK comes of age became bolder as an adult. In Fire era things between them fired up! Jk said he wants to be his boyfriend, and they had some cute and hot live moments (cough, Osaka, cough). I believe, at this era they could feel the love, but nothing was certain, and they were not old or secure enough to acknowledge their feelings.

Also, their career was starting to blow at this era, and I think this had a double effect on them. On one hand, they were feeling more powerful, and on the other hand, they were worried about the unknown future. And then in BS&T era the push and pull dynamic was sensible between them which led to end their worries and insecurity for good, at least between the two of them. Before going to the next era I have to admit 2016 Jikook is so chaotic and strange and the moments of that year always amaze me that sometimes I don't know how should I interpret them.

The next big turning point happened at Not Today era when JK graduated from high school, and he officially became an adult (as he said himself) I think it was the time they started to acknowledge each other as partners and became official, and even throw some hints like the ring in that vlive which surprised Hobi or the matching jacket tweet on Valentine’s day. There are rumors about them spending their summer time days off together that year, and Serendipity was released at that time which I believe it got a big inspiration from Jikook’s relationship. Then JK made the next big step and planned a trip alone with Jimin and made the GCF masterpiece. All these, show that they were in an established relationship in this era.

In Tear and Idol era they became louder than bombs. They were spending every minute together and using every opportunity to flirt in public and post on social media. We had the GCF in Saipan that summer which is one of the loudest statements made by JK, and also other loud moments like MMA2018 happened that year. I believe in this era they started to live together, and it was kinda their honeymoon phase which continued in 2019. In 2019 They had so many loud moments that if I name just 10% of them, this post will become so long, and it’s already long enough.

In 2020 and 2021 Jikook became more mature and they act like a couple who are married for years and they have more behind the scene moments than the scene itself. You said it so well anon, it feels so good to see how they glow up and how their relationship blossoms through time. It’s good to be a Jikooker.

My favorite (not so) underrated Jikook moments

I’ve recently gotten an ask and it gave me the idea to find and list my favorite moments. I wanted to stick to underrated, but I’m too baby Army for that, everything is underrated to me.

So, here they are, the moments that make me go “huh”, in chronological order.

1. THE look. It’s not just spacing out and laughing, it’s the prolonged “getting lost in your eyes while wiping holy water off my chin” look.

2. JK’s wish. This was the Christmas 2015 vlive, and it’s the big “wish” moment, but I find this handholding so endearing. He keeps playing with Jimin’s fingers, and cracking up laughing, and it goes on forever. 

3. Slow dancing in the dark. Are comments really necessary?

4. Can you hear my heartbeat? You have to give it to JK and his iconic lines, and the fact that he still keeps it up (”borahae”, I’m looking at you.)

5. The reach. It was short, but damn, it was something.

6. Pretend neck kisses. Please, give me a bro explanation for this. I’m waiting.

7. This hyung stayed up all night until 5am. And that was the most memorable moment from our entire Tokyo trip. Can you hear the crickets?

8. There for you. Before the iconic couch comfort moment, there was this. JK was already feeling down, and they took a moment to decompress and to share a breath.

9. I’m gonna kiss you now, ok? But not really.

10. Lost in your eyes #11812. Jimin is so lost, he nearly misses his line. Honestly, for a second, I thought he was going to risk it all.

11. The one where JK gets a life partner from his chosen animal and it somehow has something to do with Jimin.

12. Give JK a break, ok? He was just cold. And he had to have Jimin in his lap.

13. Another lap moment that everyone thought was a freeze frame, slowmotion, editing, anything, because it goes on for way longer than I can fit in a gif.

14. I was with Jungkook. Has everyone forgotten the importance of that iconic sentence?

So this is not really in response to the anon but just my lil ranting.

So I'm not gonna dive too too deep but do I believe jikook is still dating? Yes I do. Now I'm not gonna give a timeline for how long I think they were dating but I think mutual crushing started happening in 2015 (it's a stretch but maybe late 2014). As time passed we started seeing it alot. In late 2017 or early 2018, we saw rings on their wedding finger. Now idk bout yall but I ain't ever seen two straight men get matching rings and put them on their wedding finger. EVER.

2018 and 2019 were the years of grand gestures. Jkkers love to mention Rosebowl and call me weird but I've never been gassed about rosebowl. Never once. It doesn't do anything for me. I know...I'm weird 😭. Almost anything that was on stage never did anything for me. What I focus on is the members reactions, words that were unspokenly spoken and off work behavior. For me, one of the big things that make me ship/support jikook and know that there's something there, is the members reactions. Alot of people don't like 2020 and 2021 because it doesn't have any grand gestures but those 2 are my favorite years because it showed the domesticity of jikook.

In jk's 2020 birthday vlive, jk went to make his wish and v said he doesn't need to make a wish because he already has everything he wanted. Hobi and suga laughed and hobi leaned forward and looked at jm. I say that because when he was talking to jk he didn't need to lean forward, he just needed to look across. Suga looked at v and said don't say any nonsense. On jm's birthday vlive, hobi asked a simple question. You could hear the smirk in his voice when he asked what is he doing in jk's studio. Nobody would've batted an eye if he just answered the question normally. But instead he looked back at jk, got shy and lowered his head. Following up with hobi saying let's move to my studio. It's just a studio room, why make a big deal out of it?

Then you have the leaked photo from jm dad's phone that people said was a cosplay. Now why the hell would jm's dad have a photo of cosplayers portraying his son and bandmate in an intimate position in front of a heart? Tf?

Don't get me wrong, I see where people have doubts about the 2022 behavior from jk. I see it too, it's not like I'm disagreeing with everything the anons are saying, it's just that I genuinely believe their relationship is fine behind close doors. And alot of people bring up v this v that. But if I could remember they had a "adult conversation" where jk said thay had to catch up, now why you need to catch up with somebody if you're close? That just shows (TO ME) that they're not as close as people make it seem. One time he didn't even remember jk's birthday, so the fact that people keep bring up v for everything related to jk is weird.

I believe 90% that jikook are together. That 10% is where stuff doesn't add up. One being the passiveness and the other the tattoo and song mystery conspiracy that people keep bringing up. He said "where did jimin get his tattoo again?", meaning that he knew that he got a tattoo but "didn't know" where (under the 10%)....I talked about the song thing previously so you know how I feel about that. The passiveness, I talked about in the dms. About the social media thing, both jm and jk have not interacted with each other at all. Except for jm posting the 2 photos of them (which again is under my 10% btw) btw. They both didn't promote each other's songs.

Is it possible that they could've never been together all this time? For me impossible. At least if they're weren't in a relationship, something was there. The amount of times that jm has slipped up calling his room "our room"....🧐....that's another thing that is under my 90%, yall are bandmembers, NOBODY would bat an eye that you're in each other's room but the constant need to hide it makes it weird. The smallest things they make soooooo suspicious for no reason. Jk saying "I go to his room cause it's the closest and he's bored".....🧐.....oh I'm sorry I didn't know you had to walk a mile to get to another member's room. Again...the white lies.

People say they've broken up but in what period would they have been supposedly broken up? What date? What month? Because the consistency and the breaking up don't make sense. Jm said himself that he's not a good actor, if they've been broken up, we would've sensed it somehow...someway. People thought that they were broken up when the January/March "drought" happened only for them to be out to lunch on white day with jm's friends. And last time I checked, if I have an ex, he's not going NOWHERE near me or my friends. He's also NOT finna be on my social media...periodttttt. I don't give a flying @%# if he's a bandmember or not.

To be honest, I'd like to believe Taehyung sincerely loves both Jimin and JK and that fans' reactions don't factor into his actions with either of them, but I've worked in entertainment for years in my previous professional life and I'd be astounded if his on-camera behavior isn't somewhat calculated (I'd be astounded if that weren't true for all the members, but Tae especially seems very self-aware of his own brand marketing and solo ambitions at the moment). I'm just gonna say it: Tae leans into Taekook a lot more lately. A lot, a lot. He doesn't just drape himself all over JK, he holds on to him and won't let go. Like literally will not give him his arm back sometimes. Makes it a point to bring up fire and water, playing video games together all night online, dressing each other up--pointedly mentioning these things when no one asks. And JK just passively accepts these overtures, sometimes even leans into it too. And yeah, they are super close friends, but sometimes it really comes off flirty. Now, if JK is online and monitoring everything, he knows what the cult is like and he knows the hate Jimin gets and he still participates in open displays of affection with Tae but not with Jimin anymore, which baffles me. It is not how I would behave if I were in a relationship with Jimin (or if I were Jimin's best friend/soulmate). But I'm not a twenty-something South Korean male pop star. Things that look hella sus to me could be par for the course to them. So far, none of the members have raised eyebrows about it, so I take my cue from them. And Tae is super touchy feely with everyone. Like he literally kissed Jin twice in recent months, damn! But he's way less so with Jimin this year (or rather, it's Jimin to again initiate touching faces or hair, back hugs, compliments). So I'm not making a judgment call about what all it could mean, but once again here's an instance in 2022 where Jimin is pulling the lion's share of emotional labor and being the one making gestures for connection. I'm just clocking it, based on the content we have so far. I know plenty of Jikook supporters who will froth at the mouth over this but I call it like I see it. It is one thing to keep some distance and plausible deniability around a closeted gay relationship. It's quite another thing to sit your ass on another man's crotch when you know you two are part of one of the biggest and most popular ships in the world. That shit is calculated. I just don't understand the math. But again, Jimin doesn't seem especially triggered by it, so I take my cue from him. But the cult seems pretty convinced that Jikook died during the pandemic and Taekook is real now, and it kinda makes me sad that they can point to instances this year where Tae and JK are all over each other and Jimin and JK are not. For the first time ever, they have something I don't have enough information about to refute. Kinda sucks. (I'll probably get crucified in my inbox for going there but again, I really don't give a shit about peer pressure. I am trying to gauge reality regardless of what I want to be true. Show me evidence that says differently, and I'll say I was wrong and call it differently.)

In conclusion, I have to agree with what you've said--there have been enough unique instances (even in 2022) to indicate very real Jikook intimacy is still going strong off camera. I just can't figure out why it's always Jimin reaching out to show affection, always Jimin hyping up his members' projects, always Jimin who gets the worst hate. I'd feel a lot better about it if there were more irrefutable instances of Jimin support from JK and all the members. But keep in mind, I'm Jimin biased. :-) You could probably make that same case for all the members if you were inclined.

How did you first encounter Jungkook and Jimin's dynamic, and what spoke to you first? 💜💜💜

I've been into BTS (and K-pop in general) since 2015. From the beginning, I knew people shipped K-pop idols, and that weirded me out. I had to weed through content on YouTube and try to avoid ship videos that kept popping up in my recommended. Eventually, I learned that using the name combinations in titles didn't necessarily mean the editor actually shipped the people or thought they were together (i.e., compilations like Best of Sope or Yoonmin Bickering) lol. I didn't mind watching cute and funny things like that. Those kinds of videos got me more into the fandom, so I could understand the references, memes, and whatnot.

More generally, I got to know BTS better through their interviews, variety shows, Vlives, Bangtan Bombs, etc. Their interpersonal relationships are like nothing I have ever seen between members of other K-pop groups. Their love for and dedication to one another is so obvious and tangible, and I think that has really contributed to their success over the years. It's mind-boggling to me that seven people, with very different personalities and 21 total interpersonal relationships, managed to rally around a common goal and make it this far.

And then GCF in Tokyo came out in 2017. I had no idea about the background of it when I first watched it. I just thought, "Aw, it's like I went on a date with Jimin~ Did Jungkook really make this video? Thanks, JK!" I really liked the song in the video, so I watched Troye's music video and then searched him on Google for a bit and found out that he's gay. After that, I looked up the lyrics and went back to watch GCFT with a new frame of reference. I noticed the rainbow ferris wheel, listened to the lyrics in time with the video, and thought, "Damn, this is...kinda gay."

Later, I learned this was a private trip with just the two of them that Jungkook had prepared and spent a lot of money on. And it was shortly after Jimin's birthday, almost like a present, when Jungkook has been known to Not give presents to the others. Plus, Jimin didn't know why he was being filmed the whole time. And they wouldn't stop gushing about this trip in the Japanese interviews they had afterward, while the others were very clearly Over It. And the whole video was set to a love song by an openly gay artist about being there for someone so long as they return the favor...

GCFT is a love letter, there's no doubting that. But since there is no decisive statement about what kind of love that may be, I just have to interpret what I see. Knowing the context, I'd have to be an idiot with my head so far up my ass to not see the heavy implications Jungkook consciously put in that video. With that in the back of my mind, I continued to follow BTS and noticed many, many more instances that made me raise an eyebrow over the years.

And then the Rose Bowl incident happened in 2019, and I was astounded. Like. What was that? To this day I ask, what was that? It was a message, that's for goddamn sure, to Jimin, to the the camera, to the 60,000 fans in the stadium, to the Internet, to the world. But what was the message? I can't be sure, but I doubt it was that sucking on a coworker's ear when they cry is a common and acceptable form of comfort in the workplace.

How do you think JK and JM have grown and changed this year? I was worried about the more professional Jikook recently, but the way they are now seems healthier- like there is balance and more peace in their bond. They are compromising and addressing each other’s needs (JM demonstrating his love for JK and flirting less; JK holding back for the sake of the group and JM's sanity). They seem happy. Plus, it’s nice to see the group members helping them be professional- especially Tae.

I was meant to work on a 'Jikook in 2020 Review' blog post at the end of the year but I got my nails done and I couldn't type shit with it. Lol. Should have stuck with my usual average length basic bitch nails but no, I had to go and be a baddie- edgy people. Sigh.

It's something I do in my Journal at the end of every year since 2014 where I summarize everything that's gone down with Jikook and my other ships in that year to help me keep track of their love journey and especially the timelines- yea, I take my delulu business seriously. I'm not ashamed. Lol.

I think the most outstanding and conspicuous growth development in Jikook's dynamics, to me, is their individual functioning and positive adaptive response to the changes that happened in and around their relationship in 2020- from Covid 19 to the monitored VLives and the whole professional outlook, cough cough.

While not surprising to me, because they had been on that trajectory since the later half of 2019 and had exhibited early signs of being capable of adjusting well, almost adjusting well lol, to any internal changes that could occur in their relationship dynamics, I sort of worried about them being thrown in at the deep end in the face of the abrupt and disruptive changes 2020 presented because of Covid 19.

Jikook since 2015 to me, have always exhibited codependent tendencies as well as a certain level of dysfunctionality in their dynamics with one or both of them enabling certain toxicities in the other.

I think that is the major thing that changed in 2020 in my opinion and I don't know if their personal growth journey contributed to it or the virus did, or that it's just we didn't get to see them interact in the usual settings that brings out all the lunacy in them. Lol.

Jimin for example had a habit of enabling JK's possessiveness and childish grunts and would reassure him whenever JK threw tantrums over anyone smiling funny at him. I mean reassuring your partner of your love and interest in him is good and ideal but not when your partner lowkey is unreasonable in his demands sometimes, chilee JK- what goes on. Lol.

Especially not when that same partner has no qualms doing shit like this:

But with JM I feel it goes deeper than that. I think I have mentioned in passing a few times now how I feel/felt JM was the noncommittal one in their dynamic and part of the reason I had that view was because Jimin to me had always conveyed an impression of JK that he is/was a bit childish and immature and that I think had always hindered him from fully investing in their dynamic in a way that makes JK secure.

But that too has changed especially towards the end of 2020.

I mean JM is very wise beyond his age, mature beyond his age as everyone around him keep saying. Contrastingly, they say the very opposite of Kook and they treat him as such, which is gotta be worrying for JM, I feel.

I've always been fascinated by JM's choice of words and descriptors for people- well not just JM's, all the members' quite frankly. Lol. He sees, for instance, Tae as innocent and naive, Joonie as thoughtful and JK as not good at expressing himself and his emotions.

These words are not just his assessment of their personalities, they are also testament to how he treats them or is likely to treat them- We treat people the way we see and perceive them.

If he sees JK as incapable of expressing his true intentions, he stands the risk of projecting his own intentions onto him and this is very dangerous. He could be reading more into situations, misunderstanding and misconstruing JK's intentions.

For example, he may he interpreting JK feeling uncomfortable with him being around others as a sign JK wants him for himself and as such use that to reassure himself whenever he is feeling vulnerable and insecure in their dynamic but in reality JK could just be expressing discomfort with watching two men interact intimately- JM would never know unless JK explicitly conveyed to him that seeing him with others worry him because he wants Jimin too. Know what I mean?

Similarly, if he perceives JK as immature and childish, no matter how accurate that may be, he risks developing an inclination to be dismissive of JK's needs- especially if JK really sucks at articulating his needs or asserting himself in their dynamics.

Seeing JM interact with others in a certain way may genuinely be his limits, but how is he gonna communicate that to Jimin beyound grunts and pouts if he sucks at expressing himself and if JM dismisses these grunts and tantrums he throws as childishness?

That's what I mean when I say there is a certain degree of dysfunctionality to Jikook's dynamics. But that too have changed or is changing- can't be sure till I see how they progress and interact in the future.

As I kept saying, Jikook had been asserting themselves against eachother in 2020 and JK was the embodiment of that.

But JK...

He has always given me the impression he's willing to do whatever it takes to prove himself as not only worthy of JM's love but also solidify himself as JM's equal in their dynamics, having been subjected to years of baby syndrome being the youngest within the group and having everyone treat him as such.

And so I have mixed feelings about this seemly 'progress' in him...

Not sure if he is doing it for himself or for his relationship and God I hope it is for himself because as much as I enjoy the crazy aspect of their relationship, I hate it too.

I mean it's entertaining to watch sometimes but Jimlous and Jeonlous do make me sick in my stomachs- yea, I have four at this point. Fucking Christmas chicken. Lol.

Not to say JM isn't as invested in or committed to JK as JK is to him. Just saying there's always been something holding him back in their dynamics for whatever reason, in my opinion, and Jk it seems have always had the impression he can 'win' if he tries. So he is constantly pushing the boundaries and testing the limits- and that I feel is his yoke.

I used to look at him and felt sorry for him because he was young and he was being pushed to grow so fast but I also understand Jimin because he is much older than his boyfriend and he wouldn't want to be unequally yoked to him, as the saying goes- especially if he equally has to relinquish control to him and have him lead him as his lover and partner.

I feel a lot of Jokers get confused about who is dom and all that jazz, partly because JM is not ceding to JK the way JK relinquishes control to JM in their dynamics and is holding back a lot- that's what I mean when I say he is not fully into their relationship.

Jimin holds a lot of power in their dynamics and a lot of people see that and describe him as top, dom, power bottom and whole other sobriquets but I don't think any of those descriptors is apt.

Because as much as he holds a lot of power in their dynamics, he is in the same breath powerless and at the mercy of JK as JK is to him. The one with the power to me is the one that can walk away and It's neither JK nor Jimin.

As assertive as JK has been all year, he will cave if it meant JM was to walk away. And as demanding as JM has been of JK's maturity, he will settle if it meant JK was to walk away.

Jimin to me is a paradox. He pushes JK to be 'mature' and be on the same page as him yet he equally enables the bad behavior in JK too- well he used to. He's changed since late 2019 and hasn't been tolerant of JK's possessive behavior- which I think I've talked about a lot on here.

It certainly doesn't help that JM has this view of 'JK is just bad at expressing his emotions.' With that kind of mentality, he is more likely to let JK get away with a lot of things without pushing him to be better and that in itself is a form of enabling.

As the youngest within the group, he already stand the risk of being enabled within the group dynamics as his bad behavior is always going to be excused and dismissed as stemming from his age.

You often hear RM and the members talk about how he is the youngest, he is going through a teenage rebellious phase, let's give him a pass because he is the youngest, he doesn't speak much so we value the least he says, he doesn't return his texts, doesn't wish anyone a happy birthday on their birthday's but we will for him anyway, chilee. There is too much enabling going on in there.

As harmless as these rhetorics may be, they impact his attraction quotient and may make him less appealing to anyone within the group who may find him attractive in a sexual way psychologically speaking and sometimes I see that impacting Jimin. People want to date up not down.

Take when Hobi talked about JK peeping tom for example, Jimin didn't seem at all happy about it. I don't think he was jealous in that moment necessarily, more like he was disappointed and hurt.

JK has been doomed from the start as the baby of the group- I mean I've seen the men JM finds attractive... I don't think a 'baby' is what he wants.

Jk have always been on a mission to shed these descriptors off of him and assert himself within the group, for himself and for his relationship- as he should.

But 2020 has been the height of his self assertive journey and progress in my opinion. In Break the silence, the members talked about how JK has become more self aware particularly this year, and JK himself has spoken about and acknowledged his immaturity in the past and how he is working to improve himself on that.

He has grown a lot this year.

You may not see the impact of this because it's an intangible change but you look at how he interacts with the others, the boundaries he's putting in place etc

JM post October have been treating JK with a certain level of respect and dignity, almost as if he is seeing JK as a new man- his equal. This will make sense in the future, don't worry.

During the Christmas holiday performance, it seemed the directors had whispered something in JM's ear to give them a moment- listen, BigHit ain't slick ok? Whenever you see them isolate Jikook from the group bet your sweet behind they are looking for a moment from Jikook and are going over BTS's head, chilee. They ain't slick.

They did the same thing in the dynamite MV when they put Jikook away from the group and had them turn it on- I mean RM wasn't too happy about it it seemed and when he asked Jimin about it, Jimin said the director had asked him to.

I bet you two fake dollars, they intentionally put Jikook away from the group in that performance and honestly I don't think they gave JK a heads up about it either. You could see Jimin literally scanning JK's body to prepare himself and put himself in the mood which had JK looking at him all confused like what is this man doing. Lmho.

Then he playfully taps JK's chest like it's the firt time he is paired with his man and JK looks at him like uhmmmm. Jimin then goes to wrap his hands around JK's shoulder and JK exec crashed. lol.

I don't think JK expected that from Jimin and his gay panic was real- personally, I think he popped a boner down there and when Jimin tilted the camera angle down to that region dude made a 360 turning his back to the camera. Lol.

He was literally hiding it behind Jin and when you look at NamJin's cam that's when you see what I mean.

Chilee, JK how are you gone hide a boner a man gave you behind another mind- make it make sense. Lmho. Are they both not men? You are 24, if Jimin still has this effect on you I'm sorry there's no hope for you. The gay is deep my guy, bid your family farewell and move to Itaewon. Lol.

All jokes and delulu aside, there was a certain level of respect even in the way that Jimin carried out their fanservice in that moment.

Maybe we are finally going to see Park Jimin relinquish that power he's been holding back from Kook as the hyung and mature one and allow JK lead him, make decisions for him and trust that he would make the right ones.

I don't think, going forward JM would be 'dismissing' JK's discomfort with him doing certain things as JK being 'childish' anymore, lol. I'm talking about the 'babe it's nothing' laughing his butt off when JK is pissed at him for doing certain things etc.

It's also interesting to note that 2020, in my opinion, recorded the most 'breakup songs' shared and recommended by JK on his spotify playlist- I wonder why. Smirk.

By break up songs i mean most if not all the songs he shared last year had a theme of separation, breakup, etc, with one particular song standing out to me: Mean it by Lauv.

This song and the others are pretty much consistent with his own song lyrics of 2020, Still with you and Stay which I believe are a two voiced piece of the same art work or subject matter, a response poem if you will: one being a confession of JK's feelings and intentions while the other, Stay, is the reconciliation, a request and plea to his love interest and declaration of his needs or what he wants from Jimin.

Stay answers Still with you. In my opinion.

And on the subject of Still with you, am I the only one who thinks 'With You' is one of Jimin's handles and JK using that in a song is no coincidence?

I mean Tae literally gave Jimin that name in Run 106- Listen, I don't trust JK and if he appropriates it again ISTG!

He's come a long way from, 'I'm not gonna say any cliche as that have courage' in Magic Shop to practically groveling. Lol. Love will do that to you.

What stands out about Mean it, is that whole 'don't play with my feelings if you don't want me' theme. I think this is something I kept saying was a vibe I was getting from JK throughout 2020 when I said I talked about their breakup and said I felt he was since that incident putting his foot down, demanding his needs and putting his happiness right back up there with Jimin's.

I smiled when I heard him talk about him thinking a lot about what happiness means to him throughout 2020 and pursuing that.

As for the professionalism, let's see if they are going to maintain it throughout this year because it is not coming from them but from the environment they are in.

I think what they have to do is know when they are going to be themselves and when they have to be professional- Jikook y'all are queer, reading the room should be an acquired skill dumbass! Someone send them the memo. Lmho.

One other thing that has changed about Jikook would be how they are gradually disconnecting from their fanbase especially JK.

Now this may be due to a lot of reasons: BigHit limiting their access to their fanbase, BTS having a problem with Jikook's brand clashing with theirs and demanding they 'act professionally,' Jikook no longer having a need of the support of their fanbase and a plethora of reasons I cannot get into sake of time and space.

One thing that I am gauging this year is how Jikook will be interacting with their fanbase and how much of their relationship they will willingly share with us.

They need our support as much as we need them and if our support matters to them in advancing their relationship out of the closet then they will find a way to reconnect with us- always.

I mean, he said stay- I'm staying. Lol.

I guess what I'm saying is, for now, the change in Jikook is intangible and individualized but serves as a foundation to whatever direction they decide to move in next.

I am curious to know how these individuals growth and development is going to play out in their dynamics as a unit.

I want to see what they do on May 13th this year, who posts the first Jikook selca of 2021. JK didn't post for the members's birthday again and so I'm curious to see how JM's birthday is gonna go.

The members had surprise parties except Jimin- I'm still salty about that, they filmed Vlives on their birthdays- again except Jimin who had to belate that shit.

I'm taking notes of how they are gonna use the VApp this year especially JK. He still wasn't allowed to solo VLive on the app- I'm taking notes. Lol. Bone collector LLC. Lmho.

2020 was that year, the year Jikook went to couples counseling figuratively- in my books me. Lol.

They went from spending time apart, pursuing other hobbies, JK took to reading, Jimin took to spending quality time with friends and family and realized what is gold to him.

They each have come to terms with their shortcomings- something some of us recieved a lot of backlash over for talking openly about. Chilee.

Jimin have acknowledged he over expresses himself and needs to "love less' and JK have acknowledged his immaturity and is taking steps to work on it.

They both have taken a step from social media, which honestly I don't think is a bad thing especially if SM impacts their overall well being negatively.

Hello. I hope you're doing great. I'm pretty new to the fandom, so jikook have honestly been consuming most of my time, tbh. So, I wanted to know your thoughts on Jk calling Jimin "Dangshin" and baby (in Korean, i don't remember how is it spelled) multiple times. My thoughts basically aligned with what they said. Now for my personal thoughts below and examples of the uses. ↓

당신 Dangshin

Means ‘you’ and is not something rooted strictly to be romantic. It’s very ambiguous in meaning, as it can be used in a variety of different ways not just for a spouse; but in formal settings, or it can also even be used to insult. It’s a highly contextual word; just as Korean is a highly contextual language, therefore the meaning can differ.

In Namjoon's 171007 Vlive Namjoon calls Jimin dangshin 'are you (dangshin) an angel without wings?' because Jimin brought him a coffee @36:45

In 200903 Billboard Interview Jungkook calls Taehyung dangshin. Jungkook talks about his birthday/Dynamite #1 party with the members. Taehyung is messing with Jungkook and asks 'who bought the champagne?' Jungkook replies 'you (dangshin) did'

Dangshin has been used multiple times with JiKook, but I’ll just use two 2 examples:

1. Comeback Vlive: 방탄늬우스 : Behind The anSwer @53:25 'I drew your (dangshin) big sleeve'

2. 2019 Summer Package in Korea DVD @26:25 'Jimin ssi, you (dangshin) lower your voice'

애기야 Aegiya

The time Jungkook has called Jimin baby or 애기야 (aegiya) was in Bon Voyage S2 ep.2 Behind @9:10. It is a reference to a very famous line originating from an old Korean TV show from 2004 called Lovers In Paris, episode 4.

가자 애기야

가자 (gaja) (let’s go) 애기야 (aegiya) (baby)

However, despite him using it as a reference I still get a flirty vibe coming from Jungkook.

Another thing to factor in is that sometimes BTS uses terms of endearment/pet names with each other, it’s not something that’s extremely out of the ordinary.

In Run BTS! 121 Taehyung called Jhope baby 자기야 (jagiya) 'Jagiya, it’s not over yet.' @14:40

In Bon Voyage S3 ep.1 Jungkook tells Jhope 'yes baby' when Jhope tells him to change lanes. @20:30

In Bon Voyage S3 ep.6 Jimin called Taehyung 'my baby' when he ran to comfort him. @11:00

This doesn’t negate when Jungkook and Jimin uses pet names. I do however, think it’s important to understand the dynamics within the group and not just Jikook. By doing that, you see what is imo distinctive and that is their hyung-dongsaeng relationship or rather the blurring of lines, not so much the use of pet names, but that doesn’t make it unimportant.

One term of endearment that I had an ‘huh..okay..’ moment, and from what I’ve read korean speakers too is from the 190425 M2U Fansign Jimin about Jungkook is

반려 Banryeo

Both individuals I already mentioned have touched upon, so I won’t comment on it.

Additionally; I really recommend the tumblr users dalloga and leminione9795 both are k-army and so they both have knowledge on the language and more cultural nuances we as I-army may miss or have the wrong thoughts on.

Back to your ask; overall people turn a blind eye to dangshin and aegiya because they’re not actually definitive or overtly serious and are both terms BTS has used with each other in the past. However, there could be some times where it’s used between Jikook with a deeper meaning, however Korean is a contextual language and I don’t have the knowledge on the Korean language, to make solid yes’s and no’s.
