It has been a MINUTE, y’all! I’m back! This week’s recs are all taken from this week’s @writer-wednesday fics. (I have been meaning to participate in this forever, and I swear to Pedro himself that next week I will finally get my shit together and write something.)

🌶 Fluffy - “Tired” by @toomanystoriessolittletime - A lovely date with Javi G. has him drowsy by the end, and when he walks you home you invite him inside to wait out the rain. *sigh* I loved this! 🥰

🌶🌶 Flirty - Side drabble of WIP with the working title of "Amaryllis" by @gracie7209 - Frankie Morales has to see you, and when you answer the door he chickens out. Loved the slight angst and the soft ending. I rated this medium-spicy for references to sex. And GRACIE!!! If you want a beta-reader for "Amaryllis" you know where I live, woman! 😀

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - “Thinking of You” by @underwood0723 - You’re a working girl at The Queen’s Jewels, and a lazy morning has you thinking about some of your favorite clients: Dave, Whiskey, Marcus. And a girl can’t help but find some manual relief, right? 😉 Hot stuff!

Friday Fic Recs - April 15, 2022: The “Hey, cool, I’m dead!” edition! 💀

Thought I would do something a little different this week! Instead of the mild/medium/spicy scale, I’m going to share 3 fics that KILLED me: Dead, Deader, and Deadest!

These are all installments from ongoing series that I am HOOKED on, and they ALL updated this week and just completely killed me. I’m reporting this from beyond the grave, and I hope that I will be revived by some hot fics. Send chili peppers!! 🌶

💀 Dead - Starman Chapter 9 by @imtryingmybeskar - Ezra falls to Earth and meets a woman, and mysterious things happen when they touch. This Soulmate Ezra x OFC AU is super innovative, and the writing is slow-burn, heart-melting, and full of desire. This chapter melted my brain and killed me. Go read the series if you haven’t already!

💀💀Deader - The Gift (Part IV of The Crush) by @the-ginger-hedge-witch - Javier Peña left for Colombia 8 years ago when you were just an awkward 14-year-old girl nursing a massive crush on your handsome neighbor. Now that he’s come home to Laredo lots of things have changed, but not your burning desire for him. So I went back to check the dates and APPARENTLY Ren only dropped the first installment of this personal attack on us 3 1/2 weeks ago?? And it’s already 4 parts long, stopped my breathing and is responsible for my death? I’m gonna need a minute after this installment. Come dig me up in about a week and ask me how I’m feeling.

💀💀💀 Deadest - Mine (latest installment of the Control’verse) by @whataperfectwasteoftime - Fuck you, Penny… and I mean that extremely affectionately, but goddamn. I only fucking started reading this series, what, like a month ago when there were only three installments? And you- you have now whipped up an additional EIGHT installments? And each one not only is fucking amazeballs on it’s own, but somehow ALSO builds upon and enhances the entire AU that you’ve built for slightly dark!total control Dom Marcus??? HOW??? WHY would you do this to me? What did I ever do to deserve to be murdered in this fashion? I swear to god my fucking heart stopped reading this chapter.

🌶 Fluffy - "A Girl Walks Into a Bookshop, Chapter 2" by @oonajaeadira - After the "Prospect" timeline, Ezra becomes a bookshop owner, and you start nursing a crush on him. Later chapters have smut, but I love the slooooooow-burn of the first chapters, and the natural progression of acquaintances to friends to lovers. Adira does soft romance so well!

🌶🌶 Flirty - "Being Javier's Wife Part 2" by @tuskens-mando - HC about slice-of-married-life and kids and some sexy times with Javier after you move back to Laredo with him. *sigh* The first one was so good, and this second one is just DREAMY!

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - "The Sequel" by @toomanystoriessolittletime - Marcus Pike is an author who you meet by accident in the very fluffy first installment, and this is the HOT sequel to it! I loved the slow-burn and the way that Marcus wants to romance you before hopping into bed. So hot, so sexy, so amazing!!

Took the last two Fridays off because of hectic Meatspace stuff and the fact that I am BEHIND on my fic reading. But I'm back!! (But I'm still behind on my reading.)

🌶 Fluffy - Third Time's The Charm by @mypedrom - Frankie Morales confesses his love for you twice before he finally gets it right! Lots of pining and near-misses in this one. But ohhhhh, so sofffffft!!

🌶🌶 Flirty - Frankie's Barber Shop by @themand0lorian - Frankie Morales is a man of routine. He goes to his usual barber shop one day expecting to see his elderly barber, Frank - only to run into you, the niece of the owner. Your charm and attention catch him off-guard, and he's head over heels before the first snip. I held my breath during this entire fic, and it pops into my head at least once a week. Drop whatever you're doing and go read it now! You'll be glad you did!

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - Paleta by @clydesducktape - This is more euphemism than "porn with plot." It's like a "soft filthy" not like a "filthy-filthy-filthy" and I loved every word. It's a set piece, honestly. Thia did some kind of writing magic where you are there at the beach while modernAU Pero Tovar lusts after you before finally coming to find you, and give you the paleta he just bought for you. (That's not dirty! It's just "popsicle" or "ice pop" in Spanish.) 🌶 🌶 Flirty - Meeting You by Keri over @absurdthirst where she makes you YEARN for Pero Tovar (x gender-neutral reader) because HOT DAMN!! I haven't even seen that fucking movie and I want to marry Pero already.

🌶 🌶 🌶 Filthy - Before we get to the actual review part, I need to fully blame @wildemaven and @quica-quica-quica for tagging me and telling me to come read this filth on a fucking Monday. Goddamn. Morning. while I am trying to take care of actual adulting like homework for my creative writing class and helping a friend with some housesitting duties. If I end up a broken smut-addict living in the gutter it will be both of their faults, equally... And now I turn my wrath on @criticallyacclaimedstranger for WRITING something so fucking goddamn HOT that it broke my brain, and BROKE my Friday fic rec posting schedule because I just cannot fucking wait another 4 goddamn days to recommend this to y'all. Now I'm going to have to start all over and post another list on Friday. But I ain't mad at the HOTNESS, or the fact that I will need to post again on Friday, nope, not at all. What I'm fucking angry and SCARED of is that she posted this little note at the start: "So here you have it: my first Dave York fic... (We didn’t really get along so I don’t know if I’ll ever revisit him.)" 🌶🌶 Flirty - "Do It. I Dare You" by Jo over @1800-fight-me is partially to blame for me falling just a liiiitle bit more into the Din fandom. I really did not have strong feelings for the tin can guy until recently, but I'm not going to fight it anymore. Go get some of that goooood anticipation and hot temptation from this fic by Jo!!

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - "Tempest" by @furious-rogue-stuff is Part 2 of Javier Pena x female IT expert at the DEA in Colombia. First go read Part 1-"Nicknames", and then read this one, and then go BEG to be added to the tag list because frankly it's a goddamn CRIME that there's only a handful of people tagged on this!! Friday Fic Recs - July 12, 2021 (special Monday edition)

Please heed all author warnings. 🌶 Fluffy - "Love Me, Love My Dog" where Marcus Pike meets your furbaby. I would get really MAD here and pitch a fit and say that it was really RUDE that Sam over at @silverwolf319 DIDN'T TAG ME in this extraordinarily sweet piece... but that's only because I didn't join Tumblr until 10 days after she published it. (It's okay, Sam, I forgive you for not knowing that I existed yet, LOL.) This piece is sweet and sofffffttt just like everyone's favorite FBI agent Marcus. *sigh* ... so nice!

🌶🌶 Flirty - One of my very FIRST besties as soon as I joined Tumblr wrote "Tell Me Why" for me and I reblogged it back when I “only” had like 30 followers. (And to be clear, I was ecstatic when I had 5 followers, so that’s why I’m like LOL I “only” had 30. Truly not being a dick here.) And so I gotta bring it back around and get more eyballs on it!! Ana over at @anaaaispunk took my ask for a prompt with Frankie Morales and crafted the NICEST, slow-burn, angst-with-a-sprinkling of spice fic ever!!! Please go feast your eyes on it and try NOT to fall so in love with her Frankie Morales that you spend all your time hanging around dumpsters behind bars... because that's all I want to do now... just in case Frankie shows up, LOL.

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - Okay, once AGAIN I have encountered a fic so EXQUISITELY FILTHY that I had to put out a special Monday edition of my Friday Fic Recs list. I literally could not wait, again, to tell you how sensational this one is. You will need to clear your schedule and your reading desk, because "Yes Sir, Mr. Moreno" by Keri over at @absurdthirst is a 10.5k-word MASTERPIECE of filth (dom!Marcus Moreno x female reader), and I am here for it. I want you to understand how HOT my face got while I was reading this, how WEAK my legs got just from reading this, and I wanted to try to impress upon you how HARD I bit my lip at four or five different parts in the story... but I cannot, because after finishing it my head is empty and my writer, word, things... those things I use to write fics... they're gone. Can't explain how wrecked I am. So hot fic wrecked brain. Words gone. Now all I can think about is becoming a lab scientist and letting Marcus Moreno give me the perfect dom treatment and just WRECK me. Just please do whatever it is that you need to do to clear your entire day so that you can read this, drink a liter of water and recover, and then read it again. You'll thank me... or more accurately, you'll thank Keri for writing it.

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - The twin parts of "Countdown" and "3 Days Later" by Sam over at @green-socks are both AMAZING pieces of filthy fiction featuring Dom!Marcus Moreno x his wife/reader. Just so good, I can't tell you how hard I blushed just sitting here reading them. So good!

🌶 Fluffy - Your First Anniversary with Whiskey by Alexa over @sharkbait77 KILLED me with the sweetness!!! I read this and I can't come back from it: You hold his trim waist in your arms as you wait for your order, your chin resting on his chest as you gaze up at him. “What’s up, darlin’? I know I’m handsome, but didn’t your momma tell you it’s not polite to stare?” He chuckles and winks.

🌶🌶 Flirty - "House Call" by Cassandra over @softpedropascal You're Javier Pena's doctor neighbor and you patch him up. (Warnings! Mentions of injuries and blood.) Super, super flirty Javi and soooo just... *sigh*: When you dipped your head down to kiss him, it was only supposed to be a quick one... You had dreamed of this, dreamed of how soft his lips were and what he tasted of. (As Liz Lemon says, "I want to go to there.")

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - Okay, I’m okay... I’m okay, I’m okay... I’m okay... my legs are shaking and I think I got so wet I got dehydrated again, but I’m okay... I don’t even have words for this one, my brain is kind of broken and I’m not sure what to say, except FUCK, holy fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck that was hot... Apparently Jazz over @jazzelsaur has some kind of mystical, magical, supernatural, energy-of-the-smut-Universe flowing through her fingers to her keyboard, because *waves hands at this whole thing* this exists: "Stars Hit The Ceiling" featuring Frankie Morales x female reader x Jack "Whiskey" Daniels as the dom I didn't know I needed. She captured Jack's voice and tone perfectly, and it was explicit without being cheap & cheesy.... And this is the part where I tell y'all that "I'm not into" M/M stuff or poly stuff (I don't think it's gross or anything, they're just not in my top 10 kinks, and I don't specifically seek them out to read), but I'll read almost anything once, and I'm SO GLAD I READ THIS!! Holy shit, it's going to live in my head for YEARS. I'm going to be senile one day and trying to tell my poor nurse about this hot shit. 🌶 Fluffy - “Coffee & Cigarettes” by Thia over at @clydesducktape - I love Flip Zimmerman and this captured that gruff adorable man perfectly! Made me yearn for both Flip and for a Part 2... Loved it!

🌶🌶 Flirty- "Love Interruption" with our boy Frankie Morales being obsessed by your breasts is by Claire over at @silksaddle - I probably would have called this a "hard R" (rather than NC-17) but it definitely rates closer to the hotter side of the medium range! All of her stuff is just exquisite and luscious to read!

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy- This Javier Gutierrez x female reader piece by Astrid over at @javier-pena ... broke my brain. But in a good way... the BEST WAY... super explicit but really well-written, like, super hot. This was my original repost reaction and I stand by it.

🌶 Fluffy - "A Danger Meter" an Agent Whiskey Soulmate AU by @f0rever15elf - This was so sweet and soft! Reader is Agent Whiskey's soulmate and doesn't know, they only know he's constantly in danger. Cute!!

🌶🌶 Flirty - “Did you think I forgot?” x Javier Pena prompt by @mypedrom - This was heavy-duty literary angst and yearning, plus lush, evocative descriptions of inner feelings and I LOVED. EVERY. WORD.

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - A different Claire dared Kelli and Kelli of @frannyzooey fucking BROUGHT IT with some dreamy little BJ action for Frankie Morales from the "Weeknights" universe. Which, if you have NOT yet read, you need to go read the whole series immediately because you will fall in love with Frankie and his nanny.

"Worth every crack in the Creed." Holy crap, killing me softly here, Adira!! *swoon*

🌶🌶 Flirty - Jen over at @writeforfandoms hit 100 followers recently, and for very good reasons!! This is a lovely Blacksmith!Pero Tovar piece with a female reader. It's soft and sweet and just right with that little butterflies-in-the-tummy feeling from the dialogue prompt "I love you." "You shouldn't." If there is a sequel or this turns into a series, sign me up!!

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - We all love a good explicit Frankie Morales fic where he takes care of his woman, and @criticallyacclaimedstranger wrote one of my favorites! “Frankie Friday Fun” is a one-shot with a soft/filthy Frankie helping you relax on a Friday night when you're too tired to come, but he's determined to complete that mission. Loved it!!

Just sooooo fluffy and soooooofffffft and I loved every word of it!!

🌶🌶 Flirty - Chapter 1 of "Mr. Moreno" by Em over at @omlwhatamidoinghere featuring Professor!Marcus Moreno x female college student. Chapter 1 covers all the yearning (smut appears in later chapters). "“What’s causing you issues, sweetheart?” That’s the second time he’s called you sweetheart in a matter of minutes. Does he know what he’s doing to you?" Em, do you know what you're doing to ME with that line? Hot!!

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - Chapter 2 of Crack!Fic by Kaylie over at @starlightmornings featuring Waterpark!Dinjamin and his son Grogury and a WHOLE CAST of other AU characters and a very special inflatable friend! This is explicit humor and THIS was my 3-GIF reaction when I read it the first time because I had no idea what I was about to read, and I DIED. It was so funny. Even better the second time, and especially now that Part 3 is out!

🌶 Fluffy - Go read "El Chico Del Apt. 512" by Michelle over at @castleamc and make sure you are prepared for ALL the Frankie Morales x female reader YEARNING!! It's so sweet and just lovely. A really nice sweet, slow burn with all the feelings!!

🌶🌶 Flirty - "Let Me Cry My Cruel Fate" by Adira over at @oonajaeadira is sooooo hot! Javier Pena x female reader, and he remembers important things about you and makes something magical happen for you?? That's so hot.

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - “Lost in the Rhythm” (Boba Fett x female reader x Cobb Vanth) by Jen over at @writeforfandoms was.... hhhooottttt... I didn’t go into it with strong likes/dislikes of those characters, but HOT DAMN! That was some 5-star filth!! Great dialogue and characterization. Really excellent work!

I’m late because it’s already almost 10:30 pm on my Friday night, but I wanted to start a weekly Friday Fic Rec list and tell you guys what has really blown me away this week! (Please heed all warnings by the authors!)

🌶 Fluffy - “The Hope of it All” series by @wyn-n-tonic OMG the yearning and the reminiscing and the sweet teenager Marcus Pike?? I’m so down for this, any day of the week, and the transitions between present day and past are tight. Very well-written. 💖

🌶🌶 Flirty - “From a Place of Love” by @manndo A sweet, sexy domestic married/father!Javier Pena one-shot. I’m sad that I’m not the woman who finally locked him down. 💓

🌶🌶🌶 Filthy - “Futile Devices” AU Author!Javier Pena series by @zeldasayer There’s plot, and beautiful descriptions of setting, and strong feelings (all the feelings!) and some really excellent, sharply-written smut on top of that. It’s just like, all lush and gorgeous and sexy. 💝
