Yuki: Though I think it would be hard to manage everyone’s likes and dislikes when there’s seven of you.

Izumi Mitsuki: Playing a character different from yourself is super hard but also lots of fun. I’ve been learning so much from watching you, Yuki-san!!!

Izumi Mitsuki: Really!!! In the last episode, there was a scene where everyone in the kitchen was gathered because the inn might end up closing.

Izumi Mitsuki: The heavy atmosphere was so heavy that it shut everyone up, only the sound of the pot boiling echoed through the walls.  

Izumi Mitsuki: But then you said, “Worrying won’t change anything, let’s peel some bamboo shoots for tomorrow’s breakfast,” and the mood immediately changed.

Izumi Mitsuki: I was really moved by that. I realized that ah, your words just flow so naturally, as easily as a breath.

Izumi Mitsuki: If it were me, I probably would’ve said it in a way that’s trying to push through the tension.

Izumi Mitsuki: But Yuki-san said it so naturally, as if it was nothing more than another part of your day, without making a big deal of it.

Yuki:  You feeling that way makes me genuinely happy.

Yuki: When you’ve been in the industry for as long as me, you don’t get complimented as often anymore.

Izumi Mitsuki: Is that how it is!? I’m amazed by you every day, Yuki-san 😭

Yuki: Then can I praise you too, Mitsuki-kun? I was gonna do it when we meet up but

Yuki: Since you’ve done a lot of MC-ing before, you have a knack for dealing with unexpected situations. You take improv from actors and nonsense from the director and respond to it efficiently.

Yuki: I was also impressed by the scene right after the one you mentioned. After I urged everyone to peel the bamboo shoots, you were supposed to say “I’ll lend a hand!”, but then you switched it to “I’m gonna prepare it to remove the bitterness”

Izumi Mitsuki: Ah... That’s because it’s always been my job to remove the bitterness. I thought it would convey the idea that we’re trying to go back to our usual routine properly.

Izumi Mitsuki: The director approved it, but it wasn’t weird, was it...?

Yuki: Of course not.

Yuki: Thinking and putting yourself in your character’s shoes is a talent in itself. I hope you keep developing it.
