#Izaya really loves loopholes

Agency informant Izaya

Don't let the title fool you because technically Izaya's not a member of the Agency.

He's a freelance informant, he doesn't just work with the Agency.

It's just that he has a particular interest and dare I say, fondness for the Agency.

They even have access to his number, for emergencies of course.

Izaya could pass the entrance exam, if he wanted too. But has declined everytime, and thus never officially joined their ranks.

That grey area is one he exploits, naturally, when the Decay of Angels situation arises.

Because, as per technicality they can't go after Izaya. Not that they could even if they tried.

Izaya doesn't live in Yokohama, he uses a fake name whenever he visits.

And he doesn't need an ability to cover up his crimes, Izaya's been doing that for years.

The only person who could even try to get through is Katai, and he would never.

So Izaya sits on the sidelines, watching everything go down. He hears the exact wording used for the page and exploits that lovely technicality.

Izaya does what he does best, he goes online and spreads information. He seeds doubt into the public that the Agency could ever be involved in such a heinous crime.

That is until he gets a message from Ranpo.

Show time.

"Izaya?! You're here too?!"

Izaya, sitting in his wheelchair in Anne's room waves to Atsushi.

"Of course, man you guys have been put the ringer." He says, gesturing go Atsushi's attire. Atsushi sighs "you could say that again."

But there's a sense of relief in his and Kyouka's faces at the sight of their informant. "How did you get here so fast?" Asked Kyouka, sitting beside him, Atsushi following.

Ango clears his throat, reminding him of the mission at hand.

Izaya's grin doesn't waver "I'll tell you later, as for you mister." He promises them, before looking at Mushitaro who raises an eyebrow at this strange new addition. "I've got my own questions, if you don't mind."

Ango nods, having his own.

Lucy sits beside Atsushi, giving a passing nod to Izaya before turning her attention to Mushitaro.

"Alright, but you're not gonna like this."
