Some Cosmo traits for universes where he's not mushroomed! Some of these also apply to his canon fungal self. TW: Descriptions of bad sleep and eating habits, physical and mental health issues, dead animals (taxidermy), and emotional manipulation

-Cosmo has a hard time holding conversations that hold no purpose. By that I mean that when he needs to get something done, like ask questions for information, he can do that. But casual talking is hard for him and takes a lot of effort. He has to remind himself to ask questions about the other person, make eye contact, and correct his tone to sound interested. He has a hard time with it, and a lot of the time it'll seem like he doesn't care or isn't paying attention because he'll answer in a flat tone, only give one or two word answers, or respond by talking about himself. Because of this, he enjoys spending time with people who will either do all the talking or who like to sit in comfortable silence. -He's very thin and struggles with eating properly. He doesn't feel hungry very often at all, and will frequently go whole days without eating because he was focusing on something else and just completely forgot to eat. He also dislikes the texture of most foods, especially the feeling of chewing and swallowing food. So he also struggles with nutrition because there's only a few foods he doesn't actively dislike eating. -He struggles with sleep as well. Usually he'll wake up every couple of hours, and it takes him a long time to drift off again. On rarer occasions, the opposite will happen, where he'll fall asleep and stay asleep for a very long time, sometimes for nearly a full day, and he'll still feel tired when he wakes up. Because of this Cosmo usually will just nap throughout the day rather than trying to sleep specifically at night. -Unlike in canon Cosmo does not have amnesia in most AUs, but his health struggles do cause frequent confusion, especially about time. Erratic sleep habits paired with a tendency to fixate on tasks and eating when he remembers too rather than at appropriate meal times can make it hard for him to keep track of time and days. Things tend to blur together. -He enjoys learning about and collecting insects. Dragonflies are his favorites, but he likes all kinds of bugs and has taught himself how to taxidermize, pin, and otherwise preserve them. He'd like to keep and raise insects but he doesn't because his housemates usually don't like him to, and they often tell him that he wouldn't be able to take care of them well enough. After all, he can't even take care of himself, and that's why he has to live with them, they take good care of him because they're his friends. -Cosmo also enjoys collecting bones and learning about archaeology, which his housemates indulge much more. They allow him to collect and clean dead animals and bones that he's found in the woods. Cosmo especially enjoys finding whole animals, because he can reassemble the bones like a puzzle. He sells many of these, along with pinned insects, and makes a decent amount of money. Not enough to live off of, and most of his money goes to his housemates for living expenses, but enough that he can occasionally treat himself to a rare specimen, a new thick book about history or insects, or a big jigsaw puzzle. -Of course, Cosmo loves puzzles too. He's not impressively good at them or anything, he just enjoys the process of putting the pieces together and creating the picture. Sometimes his housemates sit and help a bit. He always likes it when they do. -Human Cosmo has vitiligo, which has caused symmetrical depigmented patches on his skin and has caused big locks of his hair to turn white. The vitiligo also causes him to have some light sensitivity, so he usually prefers to keep rooms a bit darker. He likes soft yellow light rather than harsh white light.

or: Silco try to rally the Firelights to his cause (in this case, Zaun - he's much more involved in doing better for his city than in the show) but of course they're bound to have some..tension between them, since they hate him - and Shimmer. (it has the good parent Silco tag so i'd say that all in all, this Silco is a little less...Silco than in Arcane, but manage to keep some of the bite he has in canon...) i only read 2 chapters, and what i can say is that it does a good job with the general cast, the interactions between Silco/Ekko-Firelights are believable, i think the one thing that could have weird me out is the way Silco is said to be 'proud' of the Firelights in the summary (for me 'pride' is something he'd reserve for Jinx yk?? anyway i stop the rambling) . The Timebomb relationship has more or less the same push and pull as in the show, with Ekko thinking about the girl Jinx used to be/ Ekko being a link to the past before Jinx and all that entail...so yeah, i'm loving it!

Powder doesnt become Jinx

I promise I’ll leave you be for a bit in a second, but… post final war; everyone who has came out alive clearly is suffering from injuries, health issues, and trauma (both physical trauma and mental trauma) no? So how about a Bakugou x Reader with a reader who was essentially Bubbly, Firery and Energetic, to after the war who is exhausted, is often having nightmares over Bakugou cause well he nearly died, sleep deprived and basically depressed because I can guarantee nobody should be sane after a war, especially not children like our lovely highschoolers. Please make it angst to comfort, because seeing how Bakugou also has developed I’m sure as sad as he would be he would also be understanding and try to be comforting (despite his awkwardness). Before the war, you were a different person. Looking at you now, no one would ever guess you were once a bubbly, out going person. But Katsuki knew you were, and sometimes, he missed the old you.

It was hard to watch you wake up crying in the middle of the night from your horrible nightmares of the war. Some being about his near death experience, and others being about him dying in other ways.

Some nights, you didn't sleep at all, and it was really showing.

"Hey, keep your head up. I don't want you to fall asleep." Katsuki said. It was already months after the war, so you were all back at school, but you were one of the few students that was struggling the most.

He definitely has his struggles too, but he knew he had to be there for you, because yours were much worse.

You opened your eyes wider, trying your best to stay awake. "Sorry. I couldn't sleep last night."

"You havin' nightmares again?"

You nodded, he sighed.

"Come sleep in my dorm tonight. You sleep better with me and you know it."

You agreed and continued trying your best to stay awake for the rest of the day. Occasionally, Katsuki would have to wake you up or remind you to stay awake. The lack of sleep made it hard to focus, especially in Hero Training. Thankfully, Mr. Aizawa and the rest of the teachers were understanding of the students who were struggling.

Once school was over it felt like a weight was lifted off of your shoulders. You knew you had homework to do, but right now you'd rather sleep. Or at least attempt to. Since you were going to be with Katsuki tonight, you were probably only going to have one nightmare. Plus, he'd be there to comfort you.

Following your boyfriend to his dorm room, you immediately changed into some of your clothes that he had there for you, and then laid down on his bed.

For a while, you just silently watched him as he sat at his desk and did his homework, something you should also be doing.

"What're you starin' at?"

You smiled, but not as brightly as before, "I'm just admiring you."

He huffed, "Good, I'm awesome."

Rolling your eyes, you said, "And there he is."

He laughed and continued doing his homework. You just continued watching him, because it was something that comforted you. It was a reminder that he was okay and alive.

Knowing he was safe right in front of you, you fell asleep.

...

You didn't know what time it was, but it must've been late since the room you were in was dark.

You clutched your chest as you sat up in bed and breathed heavily, feeling tears prick your eyes.

Of course, you had another nightmare again. This one in particular was about Katsuki, and he was in the arms of Shigaraki. You saw the villain use his Decay quirk on him, and your boyfriend began to crumble away but you were paralyzed in your dream. There was nothing you could do.

The nightmare felt so real and so scary, like they usually do. You felt so helpless and scared. The evil that emitted from Shigaraki and All For One was something you'd always remember.

You subconsciously began to rock yourself back and forth and made self soothing noises as you continued to have a panic attack. They never got easier, or less scary as time went on. It always felt like you were going to die.

Your panic must've woke Katsuki up, because you suddenly heard his voice calling out to you.

"Hey, hey! Breathe baby, you gotta breathe." He said.

You shook your head, "I-I can't! It hurts. I'm scared, I'm gonna die!"

He carefully grabbed your hands and held them in his. He took one of them and brought it to his chest near his heart so you could feel it beat.

"What is my heart doing right now?" He asked. This was a method he used to ground you during these situations, especially because he knew how you felt about him and his safety.

You looked at his chest, "Beating. Your heart is beating."

"Right. Now what do you feel here?" He asked, now placing a hand on the blanket that was on top of you guys.

"The blanket."

"What does it feel like?"

"It's soft and fluffy."

As he continued distracting you from your panic, you eventually calmed down. You were still crying a bit, but he held you in his arms as you let it out.

"He killed you Katsuki. I was so scared, and I couldn't do anything!" You cried into his chest.

He rubbed your back, "You know that shit isn't real, no matter how real it feels. I'm right here living and breathing. I'm safe, okay?"

You nodded and sniffed, "Okay." You placed a hand on his chest over his heart and felt it beat, the steady rhythm of it comforting you.

Katsuki grabbed that hand and kissed the palm of it, "Love you. I'll be here all night, 'kay?"

"I love you too. Thank you."

"It's no problem."

The next morning, you felt more rested than usual. It must've been because you only had one nightmare, which was an improvement.

You noticed you woke up before your boyfriend, so you just let him sleep a little longer while you got on with your morning routine. You had a lot of your own things in his room, including an extra toothbrush which you were thankful for.

When he eventually woke up, he walked over to you and hugged you tightly.

"You feelin' okay?" He asked.

You nodded as best as you could in his tight grip, "Mhm."

"Be honest."

"I am! I feel a lot better than last night." You insisted as you pulled away slightly, still keeping your arms around him.

He hummed and kissed the top of your head, "Mkay. Wanna sleep with me again tonight?"

"Yeah, I'll bring more clothes later."

He smiled, "'Kay. Let's go to class." He said and threw an arm over your shoulder, making you smile up at him.

Yeah, you knew things would be okay as long as he was around.

There aren't a lot of people who analyze Deku, and I've been desperate to geek out about him for a while XD. Just tell me if you want to not message as much. Your analysis on Izuku's anger reminded me of the parallels between Shigaraki and Deku. They both share serious anger issues.

I know media often undervalues the seriousness of murderous rage, but I feel it has narrative importance. Tenko's willingness to kill his father indicated some serious rage issues, even early on. In the same way, Izuku's attack on Shigaraki after Bakugou gets hurt indicates some serious rage issues. You get the sense that somebody was going to wind up dead or severely maimed if Deku got his way. I felt that was a pretty important parallel since Izuku does have empathy for Shigaraki, and Tomura harbors confused feelings about his dad. How similar do you think Shigaraki and Deku's tempers are? I got the sense that they aren't nearly as different as they'd like to think. Deku often seems ashamed of himself when he has selfish/ugly thoughts, repressing them quickly. To me, this indicated that Deku's knee jerk reactions to events aren't as sweet as he'd like them to be. This feeling only grew stronger when Deku remarked that he empathizes with the villains, and their reasons. I'm not trying to make Deku seem more edgy btw, I just noticed that someone as pure hearted as Deku is the last person you'd expect to understand the villains so much. While he went through bad things, he seems to act nobly to a fault. This, combined with his rare moment of shame, made me think that he represses resentment and anger a lot.

NO PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING I LOVE GEEKING OUT ABOUT HIM!!!! I’m glad you brought up shigaraki, there’s a lot of things I didn’t cover in that meta that I really wanted to but it was already super long and information packed so I had to just put it out lol.

I think shigarakis rage and his urge to destroy is actually apart of his quirk! Toga established that quirks affect personality and decision making, and I noticed in the most recent chapter shigaraki says this

I knew his itch was going to be important and no one has said yet that it’s due to his lack of actual destruction. He NEEDS to destroy things or he’s left with this both mental and physical itch that he can’t stop.

To be honest? I think this mental/physical itch is a physical representation of him having to hide and bury himself when around his father. He killed his father with no hesitation because of what he had done and how he abused him. Does that make it right? No, is he also barely 8 years old? Yes. I also fear that if the dad for one theory becomes canon, then that may mean another parallel between shigaraki and deku. Where deku kills his father with no hesitation because of what he did to his “brother” and also what he did to Katsuki. Boy’s got major anger issues that no one has called out because the hero world sees it as “potential” or “recklessness” and only wants to fix the surface level problem as if it doesn’t deeply affect the ins and outs of his mental and physical health. It will ultimately be his downfall and that’s why shigafo is taking advantage of that.

Because it’s not JUST his love of Katsuki that’s making him have these massive rage fits that almost destroy cities people. It’s simply unsafe to have someone working in the field with no true way of dealing with their emotional outbursts. And I’m saying this from the perspective of someone who has manic episodes and wants to work around kids! Sometimes it’s just unsafe for me to do so BECAUSE of the rage fits I get and the blatant carelessness. He has to find a way to deal with it by confronting the issue directly. It’s not just love, it’s trauma.

So, yeah, I think they’re both extremely similar. They are an amazing foil in every single way. ALSO, when you said that Izuku was embarrassed by these emotions and outbursts it reminded me a lot of uraraka!

Uraraka and deku are parallels a lot of ways, but I feel like their main parallel comes down to the villains they choose to save. They are both saving villains who have the same problems they do that they’re ASHAMED of having. Uraraka character development wise has progressed farther than deku due to who she’s saving (someone who has always been seen as an outcast over someone who could’ve and wanted to be a hero) but I still think it’s very similar. I also believe that deku is gonna start having the same realizations that she did when she was talking to him in 342. He was literally used as a plot device to bounce ideas off of which is why the entire chapter just seems like a slap in the face to izu//ochas.

Also don’t be afraid to be a lil edgy lol. They’re teenagers, they’re a bit dramatic and edgy overall eidbidndudj

My people, I love this and I hope you do. Its a long one, but I promise its worth it.

So ever since I read this head cannon from @yuriyuruandyuraart I've had one nagging thought.

Polygamous marriage is illegal.

So as much as I loved this story of them getting engaged, they couldn't ever get married, but I didn't wanna rain on everyone's parade so I kept it to myself. Until now!

While talking with @jann-the-bean I came up with this and Jan loved it! So I hope you guys do to.

So imagine that the 3 of them are going around telling their friends and family about their engagement, in the classic happy kind of way. It's all well and good, Dream is thrilled to find out his brother is so happy. However, then he realises the law and Dream pulls his brother aside.

Dream "Uhh Night...Can I talk to you?"

Nightmare "yeah?"

Dream "I'm so happy that you got engaged brother.."

Nightmare "........."

Nightmare "but?"

Dream "but..... But isn't Polygamous marriage illegal?"

Nightmare "......."

And that was the glass shattering moment. Dream wasn't trying to be cruel or anything like that. He was just generally concerned that Nightmare hadn't thought of that.

So later that night, Nightmare brought it up to his partners and of course both of them where upset when they remembered that law. So began a long talk about what they could do. In the end Ccino mostly just said that it didn't matter to him if they were married, so long as they were together. Since he's still just a small city boy, he didn't really see that there was to much they could do, he was content to just maybe have a ceremony where they promise to be life partners, but not marry.

Nightmare and Killer on the other hand were not satisfied with that.

That Night, when Ccino was asleep the two got to talking. I like to think that over the years that Nightmare and Killer have become icons for the poly community, much like Elton Jon is one for the gay community. The two of them decided that they were going to use this to fight for the right to marry each other.

It started small. Posts on social media, comments in interviews. They started speaking out that they should be allowed to be wed. Because they loved each other and the law shouldn't stop them. There where online polls and campaigns as their fan base who had been a huge fan of the throuple started to back them up.

This is when Ccino became alerted to what they were doing. He was scared that they could damage their reputations and careers over this. He told them that he wasn't worth everything they were risking. That if they really wanted to get married, the two of them could and he'd just keep being their boyfriend.

They told him no and then lovingly told him to shut up and they would take care of it.

So began the start of a long legal battle, which all together spanned about 2 years. From when they first started talking about it online, to when the find judgment was made. They were denied.

In the end the court ruled that if polygamy was legalised, it would cause alot of issues. Its a taboo for a reason, and some people would just abuse it for their own gain.

Both Killer and Nightmare were heart broken. Ccino told them that he was so proud of them for trying and that he loved them more then ever. But Killer and Nightmare were still really upset.

This upset Ccino, because he'd seen how hard they had worked and as he thought over everything, he realised that he was actually irritated himself. In fact, he was a little angry. So now it was his turn to say No.

Ccino "you know what? No!"

Killer "what?"

Ccino "they said they couldn't legalise it because people would abuse the system"

Nightmare "yeah?"

Ccino "well I say No! That doesn't apply to us. You aren't some guy who wants a bunch of wives. We are 3 people who all love each other equally. We should have the right to marry"

Killer and nightmare "........"

Killer "we thought you said that you were ok with it"

Ccino "I'm not. Of course I'm not! I want to marry you both! "

So this prompted them to start a new campaign. If Polygamy couldn't be legalised for everyone, then they was campaign for the court to give the 3 of them legal right to marry. If a man could get the rights to marry himself (true story) and a women could be granted the right to marry a building (again, true story) then the 3 of them should be granted permission to marry.

So they took it back to court and this time Ccino took a more active roll in it, though Nightmare and Killer were more dominant. Ccino appeared with Nightmare and Killer in some interviews, but even if his mental health was much better at this point, he still couldn't fully handle all the pressure. But he put in a lot of work behind the scenes to help his partners in the case.

They Luckily still had the support of the public. They argued that they didn't want to abuse the system, they didn't want to have the bunch or wives or a bunch of husbands. They were 3 people who all loved each other deeply and just wanted to be married to each other.

Imagine the judge in court asking them why they wanted to make it legal to marry Ccino and why they couldn't just date him. And Killer just stands up like.

"dude have you seen him!? Who wouldn't want to make that fluffy marshmallow their husband?"

Then as Jan said this leaves poor Ccino (who is sat next to him) just a blushing mess and he says “Killer, don’t be so loud it’s embarrassing..”

Meanwhile, nightmare staring the judge dead in the eyes.

“I agree he’s to adorable not to marry, I mean if we don’t marry him someone else may try to steal him. And I refuse to let that happen”

After another 2 years or so of fighting for it. After all the public backing and the long process. Killer, Nightmare and Ccino are finally granted the right to marry.

Just imagine Nightmare trying to keep composed in court, though his having a little party in his head, and Killer on the other hand just stand on his table in court like.

"yes! Ha!"

Then he points at Ccino "guess what fluffy buns! We are marrying you!"

Ccino is so shocked, but he's also so happy. He truly never would have dreamt of this happening.

The moment that Nightmare, Killer are handed over the legal documents, they don't waste a moment, they grab Ccino and jump straight into their car. Then they drive straight to Las Vegas to elope not stopping to change or pack any clothes or anything, because they don't want to wait a second longer.

Of course Ccino gets super flustered at their suggestion to elope.

Ccino "get m-married right now!? But don't you want to wait? And have some big celebrity wedding? You mentioned it before"

Nightmare "nope"

Killer "we've been engaged for over 4 years, we want to put a ring on it right now!"

Nightmare "we don't need a big wedding, or all that stuff. We just need you to say I do"

Nightmare and Killer "so... Will you?"

Ccino "......"

Ccino "YES!"

(though maybe they stopped to pick up dream on the way. Nightmare probably knows that Dream would kill him if he missed his wedding.)

So the 3 were married in a small Chapel. Nothing fancy, but for them it was perfect. They all agreed that they would probably host a proper reception and ceremony for their friends and family to attend later. But for now, they didn't need that, they just needed to be married. It was a very small simple thing.

They probably stayed in a Vegas hotel that night. Probably had some time to celebrate. I just imagine Killer waking the two of them up the next morning with breakfast he'd ordered like:

"Good morning Husbands"

And he just can't keep the smile off his face.

About a year later they have a more formal ceremony. Which of course is super fun. But for them it doesn't change that fact that their actual wedding was truly perfect.

And dam I just love those 3. Jan was the one who wanted me to share this with you guys and I really hope you like it as much as me.

I see it happening quite randomly. You were in a park reading a book/ just enjoying the quiet outdoors stuck in your own fantasy wonderland, coming up with scenarios or trying to visualise the scene playing forth in your book when suddenly out of no where you were hit by a football followed by a very apologetic Yuji who ran all the way to stop the ball before it hit you, but still didn't make it in time. He would be very apologetic and as you don't like talking too much, he'll take it as you're mad at him for that.

He'll try his best to initiate a conversation with you and try to invoke a positive reaction out of you so he doesn't feel guilty anymore and in the process will start a genuine conversation with you sitting down next to you maybe even discussing the book you're reading, or just asking you why you come to the park alone etc. Yuji's quite friendly and has a very positive outlook to life, he likes making friends and talking to all sorts of people. I can imagine he'll throw a compliment or two around especially about your hair and ask you if you did it yourself (he'll be impressed if you did)

Yuji will introduce you to the rest of his friends and will try to hang out with you as much as he can as he quite did enjoy your conversation together, especially when you started giving full sentence replies instead of one or two words. He'll make it a habit to hang out with you in the park everyday and you two will create a genuine bond together and when you tell him you're not too confident about yourself he'll be genuinely shocked and will become your number 1 hype man, not just to cheer you up but because he actually thinks you're precious. He won't push your limits like you want, but will slowly make sure you do it yourself by establishing a new comfort zone each time which will make it easier for you.

Yuji will give you a lot of time to yourself, not because he wants to, but because he has to owing to his school life and it will work out perfectly as you like having time to yourself too. I can imagine he'd spoil you by buying you a lot of food and will enjoy having peaceful picnics in a local park with you.

Yuji is more of a self sacrificing yandere, and as long as you're happy, he's happy. He will do his best to make sure you get everything you want and will try his best to always make you smile. He'll be pretty open about the fact that spending time with you is what helps him get up in the morning and he thinks about you all the time, he won't hesitate. Since you suffer from social anxiety, he'll always accompany you to new places and will speak in your place if you ever feel uncomfortable because he knows you so well he'll say exactly what you're thinking.
