*Sigh* Wednesday is trending again, which means that the kiddos out there are gonna start drama again. Please just stop; this is one of the reason why the show was called cringe a year ago and people left the fandom.
1- You have the right to ship Wyler et Wavier. This is your opinion, your preference and I respect it. So why, mainly Wavier shippers, are suddenly back at attacking Wenclair shippers for no reason at all on Tumblr, Twitter and basically every single social media? What are you, 12? Is this hard to respect people's opinions???
2- Stop shipping Jenna and Emma. I'm almost certain this is the reason why we can't tag Emma on Instagram anymore. Ever since the Chappell Roan videos got out, a lot of people have made weird comments saying that they kissed or that they were on a date. Just stop. Stop shipping real people, or do it but silently. All of this is making them very uncomfortable and it's just direspectful to assume things like that. We just got them back, don't make Jenna delete Instagram again and make Emma disappear from it once again.
This just needed to be said. Just be respectful, it's not that fucking hard, goddamit. And when I mean respectful, I mean towards the fans AND the actors. Don't make Wednesday cringe again. Stop being kids and attacking other fans for absolutely no reason because you can't accept the fact that they don't ship your ship. And stop using the fucking Wenclair hashtag to say trash about them, this is getting annoying.
This is also addressed to, like me, Wenclair shippers. You should respect Wyler and Wavier shippers as well; don't give the bad example. Everyone is free to ship the characters they want, and this without any drama or violence. Just be kind to each others, it's not that hard.
Thank you for reading this. If you disagree, then just shut the fuck up because I don't have time to lose arguing with immature people on social media. I'm writing this as a reminder to respect Jenna and Emma and the fans, that's all. Y'all seriously needed a reminder.
Also, don't make Tumblr toxic. I already left Instagram and Twitter because people in here are the most toxic ever, I always loved Tumblr because people were nice, but for a week mad Wavier shippers started posting and insulting which is extremely annoying. Oh, and I also had to turn off my anonymous asks because I got very weird questions from probably bots. Don't make this app bad too, it's basically the only good one left with Pinterest.
I suppose that's all. Goodnight. And don't fucking come at me for saying this, because everything I said in here is true and I am just trying to remind people to be nice, not cause any more drama. If you say something mean here, you will be blocked immediately because, as I said, I don't have time to lose arguing with kids who can't respect an opinion.
Goodnight 🤍☮️

This weekend, I got to attend the first @confabcon held in person since 2019. I had drifted away from the online-only cons partially because of scheduling and partially because 3 long days on Zoom is more than my back and my ADHD can handle. This weekend, everyone present agreed that there's no real online substitute for gathering physically with other fans who have a similar approach to fandom, especially since almost all other fannish interaction takes place online. An in-person con lets you be fannish out loud in a way that's almost never possible. It's also a reminder that other people in fandom are just folks with lives and jobs, which makes me feel far less alone in the universe. At a time when the news is making me feel even more isolated from much of humanity than usual, I really needed that feeling of solidarity and community.
Although my schedule will never stop being a mess that gets in the way of fun, Confab is an easy annual commitment to attempt, because it will always take place in Chicago, a short and painless drive away. I got to drive with a passenger for most of the weekend, and build a new friendship with them along the way. (Username redacted to protect privacy - not sure if you're comfortable having your location shared - but you know who you are, and you are very cool.)
The con was as COVID-19 safe as an in-person event could be, with masks and proof of vaccination required, air filters in every room, and many participants testing daily throughout the event. I know it's hard to enforce these rules at larger cons, but that's why I won't be attending larger cons anytime soon.
So I have a bunch of new mutuals who I'm fairly certain are real humans and not bots. This is exciting! You're here just in time for figure skating season; I probably should have warned you that the Grand Prix series is six weeks of gif dumps. There will also be a lot of cat photos and Star Trek. I tag for easy keyword blocking.
I also got to teach a bunch of people how to make cocktails and plan his-and-his custom drinks for Stede Bonnet and Edward Teach, which was maybe a bucket list accomplishment. There will be pics and recipes after some shopping and taste testing.
I'm so grateful for this fabulous weekend, and I already can't wait for next year!

Felt like making a post since I've gained quite a lot of new followers on this blog (as well as on my main, most people being the same on both), as well as lots of reblogs which is GREAT too since the fandom here is already way too tiny!!! And I'm aware that I haven't been too active on this side of Tumblr in a long time.
I haven't had the queue running since the last spring, simply because I started to run out of blog to reblog from. I feel like I have already had everything in my blog, and I keep finding older blog and reblogging from those has its own problems. At least when I last time added stuff to my queue and drafts, I had to use the old XKit for adding stuff directly from blogs because using the regular system is nerve-racking. On top of all that, reblogging old posts means the HTML code of those posts looks different from recent posts, which is why adding tags, also, got extremely frustrating. I use quick tags and tag bundles exactly for the reason that I don't need to type every single tag there myself, and that I don't need to open every single post individually for adding tags. Well guess what - old posts did not support the quick tags anymore. It just kept saying there was an error, and I had to type everything down myself. Often several times. (And not tagging just is not an option for me!) Plus, Tumblr often likes/liked (not sure if it's already fixed) to refresh the queue/draft page so that it got just pain in the add to click and edit individual posts only to scroll down the drafts/queue every single time, and then do that like. 70 times in a row. Which is far from fun.
Adding stuff to queue just got too overwhelming. Tumblr freezing my browser when opening several tabs of a blog at once. Then quick tags and tag bundles stopped working and posts breaking because the old HTML code doesn't match the current HTML code. And the queue/drafts refreshing itself every single time cos you can't use quick tags.
But I feel like I need to start going through blogs again. I feel like I owe that to my old as well as new followers. Hopefully adding stuff to the queue won't be as enraging as it used to be. At some point even the beta editor changed somehow and I had to use the old one because in the new one you no longer could arrange images so making gifsets or photosets was impossible. And you can't arrange them in the old one either, unless you open it on the app, but where you sometimes still can't arrange them because the desktop code doesn't match the mobile code. And if you can open them on mobile, then you might not be able to open them on the desktop anymore cos Tumblr says it was created on the app. Besides, this web beta editor still doesn't work perfectly. I wonder if it ever will.
The last issue then is of course: the like-reblog ratios. This is not Instagram. If you only like and never reblog anything, you can be sure that I will block you in an instant. ESPECIALLY if you don't have a blog title and use the default icons. Then I will assume you're either a bot, or "spying us for (dä) content" which is not acceptable, at least not in my eyes. Go make your own content and don't steal what others have worked on hard, sometimes for hours. Which leads us back to like-reblog ratio: reblog art, please. And reblog creations. Reblogging IS NOT reposting, and reblogging is very very very much encouraged! (If you're new to Tumblr, it's that arrows symbol that looks like recycling symbol.) So please please please, reblog creations! Our tiny fandom is already tiny enough so when everyone's here just watching and not sharing and interacting (by reblogging! writing stuff in the tags!), I assure you that the Tumblr fandom WILL die out eventually. In fact it used to be way more active before, and it's been horribly inactive over the past 2-3 years. Also I used to post my art, edits, memes and videos here but recently gave up on that because there's just no interaction whatsoever anymore. So I don't see any point in sharing MY content to others if others don't care to look at it. So, I'm creating for myself and also keeping it all to myself, then. Maybe sharing it to some friends + my Instagram followers since IG seems to treat artists a bit better than Tumblr.
Alright, I guess that's enough. I'll try to get back to keeping this blog active, but finding "new" content is so hard nowadays, and I already explained the problems with the older posts. (I also started school a month ago so that will take some of my time, but I'm still spending time on Tumblr as if my life depended on it so it hasn't affected my Tumblr time that much yet.)

Alright hp fandom, I've had a question that's been bugging me for a while and I want your help answering it: is it stated in canon somewhere that Blaise Zabini's mom has had 7 husband's die of mysterious circumstances? Or is that just really, really widespread fanon?
Because I cannot think of a single fic off the top of my head with Blaise in it (in a semi-significant way) that doesn't mention this. So either it's some canon thing I missed, it's some obscure factoid that everyone loves, OR it's a really, REALLY specific piece of fanon that everyone partakes in. Because it's almost always 7 (I think I saw some fic say 6), always Blaise's (who's a pretty insignificant side character in the OG series) mom, and it's almost always implied that that's where their wealth comes from.
So please, where does this come from? Because I love it but can't for the life of me come up with a definitive answer

Fair warning:
While I'm going to try to keep things regulated to my depression sideblog, some of my sad thoughts will undoubtedly leak here, but it shouldn't be anything too bad.
This will probably last at least a few months, although it's hard to say. So if you have to unfollow me or something I 110% understand-- you gotta do what's best for you and your mental health.

Rewatching Good Omens, and can we talk about how when Newton gets pulled over by aliens he immediately calls Shadwell and all Shadwell had to say is "you're a witch finder, not an alien finder"??? Like isn't that the best most ridiculous response??

I wish we could have an extended version of the iceberg of tumblr lore (I'd do it, but I have no idea how to sort the following), including but not limited to:
The johnlock conspiracy
I said young man, take the bread sticks and run /I said young man, hand hook man car gun (or whatever order that went in...)
Bullet point fics
Broken notes
Vertical replies
The mobile vs desktop feud
Left beef
"potterheads draw your wands"
Finding out who an anon was by blocking them
Godspouses
The humans are spaces orcs subgenre tumblr invented
That girl who has at least two child skulls that were probably definitely illegally acquired
On a similar note the debates on the ethics of human leather
Knock off "do you love the color of the sky" posts
Countries fighting over what lemonade is (and that really long post where britain and america were more or less personified and there was something about dumping britain's tea in the water to make iced tea, I think)
That shooting star post
Superstitious posts in general (including money cat, that madam who might curse your family, etc)
"this could save a life"
Internet Explorer memes
That time we found out tumblr was staffed by only like 2000 people and felt collective shame
Obama cosplay
"I like your shoelaces"
The war against porn bots
Infinite chocolate
Ik there's more that aren't coming to mind rn, and I know some of these are definitely surface tier bc they're more popular/recent, but I think they should at least get an honorable mention
