you would’ve told her eventually, but jungkook broke the mold for you. although your mother appears calm during jungkook’s mini-monologue, she’ll surely give you an earful afterward. you hear jungkook’s words and the subtle way he pleads for you to come back, but he forgot one thing. “did you tell her WHY i left you?” you throw back at him, causing your mother to look at you. “he doesn’t want to father the child, hell, he won’t even co-parent with me,” you say but he quickly argues that it was something you knew, which is true. you know jungkook’s desire to have children is slim to none, but you figured the situation would persuade him to try, except it didn’t.

“y/n,” your mother speaks up, “you can’t force him to accept something he never wanted.” your eyes widen when you look at your mother, “mom, whose side are you on?!” you almost yell before turning to jungkook and pointing at the door. “get out. i’m not coming back, so leave.” unbeknownst to you, this will be the last time jungkook lets you slip away.

once jungkook leaves you look at your mother with your arms folded. “you should have left with him,” she says but you scoff. “why? so, i can take care of OUR child while he does god knows what?” your mother’s eyes narrow in response, signaling that you should ‘tread carefully’ but maybe she forgot the part where she excused his irresponsibility.

“i can’t believe you’re siding with him”

“and i can’t believe you’re pregnant without a ring. both of you are irresponsible—why didn’t you tell me that you’re pregnant?”

“because you would’ve told me to go back!”

“you should go back! you have a life anybody would kill for and you’re running from it because of a misunderstanding”

your brows furrow at your mother’s words. “i just want my child to grow up with both of their parents loving them and not just one”

“you’re being irrational and childish, y/n. maybe it’s you who is running from responsibility”

“Eomeoni, thank you for letting me visit,” he starts, his voice warm yet measured, carrying just the right amount of vulnerability.

He sets down a small box on the table, its elegant ribbon tied perfectly.

“I brought something for you—green tea from Jeju Island. I remember you mentioned it’s your favorite.”

Your mother’s lips twitch in a small smile as she accepts the gift. “That’s very thoughtful of you, Jungkook. But I’m surprised you came here tonight.”

He exhales softly, taking the seat across from her. His posture is perfect— relaxed, yet attentive. “I came because I owe you an explanation. And because…” His voice trails off, his dark eyes meeting hers with an almost pleading intensity.

“Because I need you to understand how much I love your daughter. How much she means to me.”

Your mother raises an eyebrow, but before she can speak, he continues.

He’s being honest about this.. none of the people really understand his struggle, but.. he’s trying to be honest.

“You know, Jungkook,” she begins, her tone gentler now, “being scared is natural. But you pushed her away.”

“I did,” he agrees, nodding solemnly.

“And I regret it every single day. But my fear wasn’t about not wanting the baby— it was about not knowing how to be a father. I didn’t want to hurt them with my inexperience, my flaws. I thought I was protecting them by stepping back.”

“But I see now that I was wrong.”

The shift in his tone is subtle but deliberate—his voice lowers, drawing your mother in.

“Eomeoni, I’ve spent the last four months trying to become better. I’ve started counseling, I’ve reorganized my life, and I’ve made plans to ensure that both yn and the baby will have everything they need. I love them both so much.0

“Alina,” he says, the warmth of his voice smooth and inviting, as if he’s been rehearsing this moment. “It’s Jungkook.”

There’s a small pause before Alina’s voice comes through. “Jungkook? What’s going on?”

His gaze drifts over to the apartment complex in front of him, his thoughts racing.

He leans back in his seat, the cool air of the car mixed with the intensity of his words.

“Look, I just… I need to talk. I don’t know who else to turn to. I’ve been trying, you know? Trying to make things right with yn, but it’s just not working. She’s gone. She’s moved out.”

Alina’s silence is noticeable. She’s always been cautious around him, but tonight, she seems to soften.

“I’m sorry to hear that,” she says. “But you know, she’s… she’s complicated. She needs time.”

Jungkook chuckles, low and dark, his eyes narrowing as he tilts his head back.

“Yeah, I get that. But there’s a lot more going on. I’m scared, Alina. I’ve never been a father. And with everything that’s happened—my own fears, the way my family’s been…”

He hates victimizing himself, but if that’s what it will take for you to come back to him and he will do anything.

“it’s just too much. I’ve been pushing her away because I don’t know how to be the man she wants me to be. I don’t know how to be a father.”

Alina’s voice softens, though there’s an air of skepticism. “I didn’t know you felt that way…”

Jungkook’s fingers tap along the steering wheel again, his thoughts calculated.

“I’ve never wanted this life. But now, with everything that’s happening, I can’t just ignore it. She needs me, and I need her, but… I need her to come back, Alina. And I don’t know what else to do.”

He smirks into the phone.

“You know her better than anyone. She listens to you.”

His words hang in the air, loaded with expectation.

Alina, although well-intentioned, doesn’t see the web he’s weaving.

“So what do you want from me?” she asks, though there’s an underlying concern in her voice.

“I need you to help me. You’re the one person who can get through to her. Help me understand what she’s really thinking. She’s been distant—;”

Jungkook’s voice tightens, his tone is subtle but forceful.

“Help me, Alina. Please. I need to know how I can get her back. I love her, and I’m trying, but she’s so damn stubborn. She’s not seeing things clearly.”

Alina hesitates for a moment, then sighs, her tone shifting to one of reluctant understanding.

“Okay, I’ll talk to her. I’ll try, Jungkook, but I’m telling you, she’s not gonna come back just because you want her to. She’s strong-willed.”

Jungkook smiles, a cold glint flashing in his eyes as he leans forward.

“That’s why I need your help, Alina. You know how to talk to her in a way no one else can. She’ll listen to you. Just keep me updated. I’ll be waiting.”

There’s a brief silence on the line before Alina responds. “Alright. I’ll do what I can.”

Jungkook exhales slowly, the tension lifting slightly from his chest. “Thanks, Alina. You’re a good friend. You won’t regret this. Trust me.”

As the call ends, Jungkook sits back in his seat, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the wheel again.

This is his game and he will win. He always does.

Franziska von Karma, easy answer, I don't really hate Franmaya or anything but so many people do not write her properly in that dynamic

I don't know a ton of AA theories tbhhhh (I don't browse the fandom a lot)

Franmaya, again, but it's mostly just cause of how it's usually written. (In some cases I've seen it handled well)

I have nothing to say in regards to Edgeworth so second fav-- Apollo would not be the one to fall in love first are you kidding me absolutely not that boy is not the one pining he's far too focused on some other bullshit.
