I just can’t get over it. Ludinus has had centuries to make his horrible plan. Horrible not just because I think the goal is horrible. I think the plan in of itself is bad in quality.
“Trust this being so powerful even the gods fear it because the gods have too much power over us. It warps everything it touches, gives a limited few the ability to control the minds of others directly btw and eats gods -totally unclear if it eats other entities. It may be able to control those it grants abilities to btw. Don’t worry about it. We have no plans for the consequences, or any fallout seemingly…” - that Ludinus is willing to share.
Just decide for the whole of Exandria to throw it into disastrous chaos bc… ole’Ludi wants to. The gods might make or not let him do something!!! I mean they haven’t done anything to him so far (that he’s willing to share), and and put up a big fence to prevent any god -Prime or Betrayer- from being able to interfere so directly -and this seems to have come up with an increased policy of hands off dealing with Exandrians and letting them figure out their own problems.
I don’t even mind Ludinus sharing the orb. Though I worry he might edit it to suit his narrative. Sure. Many already know, the gods destroyed Aeor when Aeor threatened them with annihilation (edit: I misremembere, most poeple do not know why Aeor was destroyed there was some rumor it had to do with them developing a threat or just being too hubristic). Imho while it is disappointing the Primes care more for their survival and their siblings than mortals -tho tbh I think it could be more complicated but let’s run with that- it doesn’t negate they can still care about mortals. Tho I must be honest. I think it’s also a good show of the consequences for going after the gods. Not even as a “you better not” but “this is what the gods are capable of; this is what you go up against when you stand against them. Are you prepared for that? Are you willing to make the sacrifices, the many of them, to do that?”
and tbh. It’s like going. “Our rulers suck. Let’s unleash a dragon, Bc it will want their gold. We have barely any gold or shinies so it will totally ignore us. Don’t worry the dragon assured me it won’t eat us. Don’t worry about those dragonoid people around it they are his friends and don’t worry that they accidentally breath fire and burn fields and stuff. It will be fine.”
