Hey everyone! Let's play a game! For every 🦋 you send me, I'll share old art I made for Nexus' intro fic! (The one you guys aren't allowed to read yet because it needs to be rewritten.)

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, explanation under the cut.

Alright, my boy Nexus is an alternate universe Sonic, with quite the backstory! I don't know how much I've shared about him, so you'll just have to dive through his tag and then ask me any questions you have. :D

I introduced Nexus in my trilogy of Sonic fics: Collision, Decision, and Ambition. I still don't have a series name for these. I'm working on it! Nexus was the villain in Collision, lost his memories in Decision, and I explore his backstory in full in Ambition. These three fics are NOT posted anywhere for a few reasons:

They are kinda old writing and need to be polished.

Collision centers around two Sonic timelines getting merged together, resulting in a crossover. I used the game timeline and the What If Sonic Lost His Memory timeline by SegaScourge on YT. I realized that if I want to share this story, I'll have to rewrite it so that I'm not using a timeline that isn't even mine. I've got some ideas, but I haven't gotten around to doing the rewrite yet.

I often think about the hatred of your posts breaching containment and hitting like 10k notes. I think the artist in my brain gets excited at the thought because hey maybe that'd draw in more followers and hence more people would see my art. but then there's the horrors.

I can't stop writing these vampires, but I also really need to finish this revision so these monsters don't eat my soul.

So we're throwing caution to the wind and doing both at once!

By trading off revising Weald and Wen and drafting Before Deluca. They are so different, style-wise, that it hasn't seemed to affect the voice of either (which was a worry) and it's actually been pretty fun--the vamps are a nice palette cleanser for all the heavy trauma (as theirs is less mired in my own).

With any luck, by the time someone manages to get through the (is it thirty?) chapters of sugary sweet bitey men on cohost I will have more to add. Depending on how fast you guys read, I suppose.

If you beat me there, you'll just have to wait a bit.

Weald and Wen chapters are being added in parts instead, so you'll have to wait a bit (I am almost done with Part Two, but it is tense and heavy and I am a wet sack of sad so may be a minute).
