Hmm... checking on many years old sketchbooks and realising my art was way more playful and I dared to do or try out more things as a teen. I was way more comfortable with human anatomy in every way and it blows my mind... how — like, I didn't use reference but I was doing all sorts of crazy shit and it looked good!!!! I have such a hard time with mouths today and these old ass drawings are intimidating me. Young me also took so much joy in drawing hands, they look sick, what!!! WHAT HAPPENED!!!

What happened #Hmmm... could it be that I wasn't concerned about turning my art into something other than a hobby...#and traditional is a faster medium to work on... more straight forward #It also looks like I was successfully juggling multiple special interests at a time somehow #all these Gorillaz sketches are pretty damn good... The shapes!!!! the hands!!!! the expressions!!! I remember they took so little effort #good distribution of facial features and a decent grasp on overall proportions #And I was bullshiting my way through?????#How do I get this back 🥹🥹🥹#shutupcaguay
