Hey! I’m G.J, I’m an aspiring writer and (kind of) fanfic writer! I wrote Old Republic fanfic when I was 12 and was never the same again. I’m particularly fond of dark fantasy and revenge stories.

current interests: MW2, Dungeon Meshi, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Fear and Hunger, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Altered_Humanity: The New (and better) version of Augmented Humanity. Post apocalyptic urban fantasy. Humanity already collapsed centuries ago, and whatever’s left is being wiped out by the remnants of a fantasy world that strangely fused with ours when it began to die. An android and a demi-god are convinced they’re the good guy, fighting each other for the greater good. (Inspo: NieR: Automata, Drakengard 3, Dying Light)

Tales of the Sculpted Lands (my magnum opus): A Dark Fantasy anthology, about various stories and myths of the ever-evolving sculpted lands. (Inspo: Berserk, Demon’s Souls, ICO trilogy)

Grayguard: A fantasy adventure story about a group of “elite” knights with three goals in mind

1: rescue their master from an ancient demon with magic robots

2: stop the major kingdoms from imploding after said master got kidnapped

3: Therapy? (Inspo: Aurora, Jujutsu Kaisen, Tears of the Kingdom)

WanderStruck: About a popular knight that gets kidnapped into the regular world and his growing love for the nerd who got him there (inspo: Panty & Stocking, WALL-E, Little Witch Academia. Yeah I know these make no sense)

Shadows Over Novald: An Urban Fantasy story about two peculiar partners in crime when their home, the city-state of Novald, is cloaked in darkness, the only way to lift the curse is to kill the five magic wielding humans that lurk in the city. There’s magic, espionage, a dash of steampunk, and so, so much murder and chaos. (Inspo: Discworld, Inglourious Basterds)

Chaos Travelers: A dragon bard with a southern accent, a necromantic death cult runaway, a cat lady with magic paint, and a knight with a spooky clone get invited to save an island kingdom. The results? Absolute madness. (Inspo: Dungeon Meshi, Belkinus Necro Hunt)

Little Doll (Bloodborne Fic): about the doll after the events of the third ending. With the reborn hunter in her arms, she goes on a little journey to the physical fishing hamlet and nothing bad happens along the way.

Breathtaker (COD fic): Soap and Ghost didn't get along too well when they first joined 141 (Or did they?) but all that changes when their mission to Alaska goes sideways.

Loop of the Hollow: About four friends reuniting in their hometown of Ciclo, Texas. However, there is much, much more to the town that it seems…

Viscered: About a father taking care of his 10 month old son after the death of his wife, and his past as a bio weapon coming back to bite him in the ass. (Inspo: Prototype, Berserk, The Substance)

Our Lonely Ocean: About a prince-turned squire and his commander, and their many, many shenanigans as they stumble into romance while hunting monsters together. (Inspo: Adastra, Dungeon Meshi…and a little bit of Peter Hart)

Because apparently I like angst, I was thinking about the various iterations of "Kate gets adopted by Curtain" AUs, and my brain went to...

The TPJ Cave Scene

Because, I imagine that in this version of events, Kate really was on the Society's side. She wanted to join them, and she tried her best to help them at the Institute, but when push came to shove she couldn't leave SQ.

(SQ knew a little bit about the whole situation, but he has, like, negative ten self-confidence, so he's caught in the middle of his headstrong sister and control freak dad, and he's pretty sure that Kate and the others must just be misguided, but it's his job as the big brother to protect Kate, so he doesn't tell Curtain a single thing)

So she went with Curtain and kept quiet about her mutinous thoughts. Sure, she still snarked at him and pulled him into arguments about his paranoia or his treatment of SQ, but that was nothing really out of the ordinary. She sent a few letters, far too vague and far apart for the Society's comfort, with no return address and no details beyond "We're safe. I'm so sorry."

So they end up on the island in hiding and Kate is doing her best not to rock the boat, but still begging SQ to trust her and leave Curtain before something worse happens.

Meanwhile, the Society is losing their entire minds because immediately after Kate apologized and slipped away to check on SQ, Milligan shows up. And he's regained his memories.

Anyways, instead of a scavenger hunt they're just actively searching for Curtain/Kate the whole time, and when eventually they figure out he's probably looking for duskwort, Mr. B and Number Two have been doing field research while the others stay at home and research that way. But cue Mr. B and Number Two going missing, and that whole crisis, and the kids go off on their own.

Because they were actually involved in the search this time, they get to where they're going much quicker. They still get to meet Noland/Cannonball/Sophie because I love them and they need to be included, but at last they get to the island!

There they find Kate hanging out in the forest/abandoned village because she got mad and ran off and Curtain let her because A) Where's she going to go? It's an island, and B) He's spiraling down the paranoia hole at this point and can barely pay attention to anything.

The Society is super excited to see Kate, and assure her that they understand her not wanting to abandon her family, and she fills them in on all the details. Number Two still escaped, and is... somewhere. They're trying to come up with a plan when Milligan shows up!!

The kids all look at him and Kate uncomfortably, and he announces loudly and forcefully that they will be focussing on one problem at a time, and right now they need to deal with getting everyone off the island safely.

So, they formulate a plan, and then the Ten Men or Grays or whatever show up and think they're trying to kidnap Kate :)

Milligan fight scene, and the kids get to the cave

The Society gets captured, and Kate gets in serious trouble. She has a fight with Curtain where he yells at her a lot and tries all his nasty manipulation tricks like telling her her real dad didn't love her and how great he is for adopting her, and then goes somewhere else to Plot.

SQ tries to comfort her, and the kids take this moment to try and convince him how awful Curtain is. SQ is too scared and uncertain, though, and while he's definitely not going to hurt the kids or tell on them, he isn't about to give up the only protection he and Kate have ever known.

Mr. Benedict has to do his hypnotism trick, but Kate doubles back after a minute and arrives just in time to see Curtain going berserk, just so angey at poor SQ for messing up. Kate hides until Curtain storms out again and rescues SQ, who is so miserable at this point (And after being confronted that 90% of what made his life bearable was Kate, and thinking she had finally gone because he made too big a mistake) that he agrees to go with them.

Aaaaand then they find Milligan and get back to the Shortcut (Where Number Two is) and SQ does his best to help in whatever way he can and sticks right to Kate's side the whole time, and then they get to head back home!!

At this point it's basically a backwards version of the lovely @sqenthusiast's post here, but I will never get over the Cave Scene, so here's what came out of it this time :)

Being a dog and being sent to space was odd, but being a dog in the throne of heroes summoned by the planet to help stop an island of people going mad from destroying Humanity’s last hope might be a little more odd. Just a little. Of course to do that she had to actually find support! Sure she was a servant, but a dog can only do so much against some of the most skilled fighters in history.. Though, maybe skilled is the wrong word with berserkers..

Anyway, soon enough the pup had found a trustworthy person! Mostly trustworthy because they were human, so they had to be a master! So the dog ran on over, before jumping off a rocky outcropping and floating the rest of the way! Then of course they sat in front of the human and tilted their head.

From her vantage point, she was able to watch the fight. A hiss escaped her lips watching her Servant lose a limb. Such was the price to pay, as well as it was to be expected from Mordred. This Mordred looked nothing like the one she had a life with, and yet it was still similar. Nem felt no pain or sympathy for the Berserker King who had gained multiple injuries from Archer’s Noble Phantasm. It was the first time she had seen it, and she felt alright with the drain on her mana from it. The thing that bothered her the most was the fact that a limb was taken. She was a great healer, but nothing she could do would regenerate his arm. Unless.. She waited for them to part ways before a rustle could be heard from the near by trees. She used Reinforcement magic to hop from tree to tree, before grabbing a branch and swinging around to change her momentum to help her land next to him.  “Archer.” His class name escaped her lips easily, her tone even. She was not upset at him, but upset at the circumstances and hopefully it showed. She would wait for his response before continuing.

It wasn’t hard to find the feral beast in the jungles of the Island. In fact, the second the Chaldeans entered, there she was. Watching. Waiting. Sizing them up as she waited for the right moment to strike. The magical rich environment helped mask her as she prowled, eyes watching the Masters from the treeline or treetops. Making the first move herself was so very tempting... but she was hungry. So hungry. She’d wait for them to tired themselves out before striking. Bones grinded audibly in her shoulder against a blade still lodged inside it, making her hiss as she slunk back into the shadows slightly. Accursed weapons.

She still looked.. a touch too friendly, but maybe that was to lure you closer before striking. The smile didn’t look right with a weapon-riddled body and haggard exterior, however. She could only do so much.

The forest growth had gotten very thick at this point, forcing the Saber to draw his sword to cut down the branches and leaves obstructing his way. Who knows how long he had been wandering in this dense wood without any sight of another person or living thing? How did he even land on this island anyways? Wasn’t he with other people? Or did he just make that up? The details were all a blur to him, too foggy to remember.

Regardless, Lancelot pressed on through the forest. Maybe if he kept going straight, he’d find something, anything to keep him company on this bizzare island...

He’d been walking for a very long time. The constant encounters with the Berserkers – both wildlife and Shadow Servants – was taxing on him but nothing compared to the mental exhaustion. Everything was so oppressive, it was hard to breathe and to think straight. To make things worse, there was a bright light and suddenly his Servant was gone --- Mordred was nowhere to be found and now he was in dire straights: he had no idea what happened, but he was guessing that Yuuki probably needed the assistance. 「 It is ok, I can handle it by myself for a while. 」 After all… He did left Saber behind once and made it out somehow. Shirou should be ready to deal with a situation like that, he was originally planning to fight on his own before Da Vinci-san insisted on him summoning. He didn’t deserve to be a Master… His negativity was interrupted once he stepped out of the jungle upon a barren land with an odd visage: was it a tiki hut? Wow, a Berserker-ridden island was literally the last place he would expect to see a tourist trap shop. As it got closer the could read finally read the plaque: “Na’amah Beach Goodies!” in a cheery tone! Cheap merchandise with sunglasses, bad shirts and chitzy keychains were in full display, including a mannequin with a shirt saying “I went to the Berserker Island and all I got was this stupid T-Shirt”. …Why? The boy approached the Caster, longing on a chair in the outside (despite the lack of a proper beach), wearing a swimming suit, sunglasses and holding reflectors in an attempt of getting a tan.

“I hardly see the need for us to be here,” the Classless Servant mused, crimson gaze flicking up to one version of himself sat high above the island on their throne while he surely sensed the Caster version somewhere far in the distance. Never mind the fact that he himself hardly felt the effects of the island, as being the purest form of himself made it a trifle thing to contend with. Still, it was a worrisome little buzzing, like a displeased gnat trying to get your attention.

“but if that’s your wish, Master, I’ll have to humor you.” 

This was all said rather carelessly, as if the shadowy blade he had caught in one hand and was holding back didn’t bother him in the least. It didn’t truthfully, as the Shadow Servant didn’t seem to have the mind to twist it nor even let it go. So he was free to take his time conversing with his Master without much worry for actual injury.

“This island is... scary. Are you sure you want me here?”

She’s smiling. It would be cute if her eyes weren’t full of bloodlust and her teeth weren’t as sharp as knives.

With all these bad vibes she's getting from this island, Kiomi hopes Yuuki is alive.

“Well look at that, your resident genius got a connection established finally! Alright, so I don’t know how much time I have so I’ll be sure to update all of you quick! The island itself causes madness enchantment to become a passive skill of any servants there! Any servants who already have it see that skill increasing ranks incredibly quick, but some classes are a bit more resistant. Those with magic resistance, divinity, and the foreigner class as a whole seem to contribute to delaying the effects!”

“As for occurrences on the island. It seems like one of the major mana sources has vanished, meaning that one of the big bosses was likely defeated! From what I’ve figured out, another two are engaged by two different groups. That being a Berserker Mordred (ooc note: there’s multiple threads here so it’s vague <3) and a Berserker Emiya facing off against a small group with Shirou and Yuuki as the masters! I believe a group of Hotaru, Musashi, and Assassin Emiya (You guys need nicknames..) are engaging the dragon with Archer as support! I haven’t been able to get a clear signal, but I believe Wunna is speaking to Ibaraki, so if you’re hearing this I wish you luck!”

“Finally, something that might be a bit urgent.. It seems like volcanic activity is increasing, and there were also earthquakes detected, so it seems like we might be on a bit of a time crunch here! I’ll keep close watch of the situation and rayshift all of you out if it erupts, but let’s hope that it won’t come to that.”

A number of minor fights later as the mystery Berserker made his way deeper towards what he assumed the heart of the island of madness or at the very least, the point where the generation was originating from.  It would have been harder for those whose sanity was tainted by the island to be able to notice the gradual increase when one moved in a particular direction.    He could feel the effect of the island having drastically increased in intensity and effect.

It was beginning to be more tricky to move around without letting the forced effect of it affecting his ability to fight with precision he had noticed a while ago.  It would prove difficult to process any further without a stabilizing force of a master with his spirit origin, he found it somewhat frustrating that he was close to what he assumed was the area where the source of this island’s effect. 

He would instead begin to try to patrol the perimeter around this area until he would encounter others trying to resolve this island of madness, hopefully them having their sanity still somewhat intact, or until he encountered something worthy of him to face, the lower shadow servants were not proving much of a challenge for the Yokai Berserker.

The very island itself shook with every step the Berserker took, it was as if the planet itself was shaking in fright from the very presence and strength of this Hero. Yes, he was a true threat and menace as a regular Berserker, but backed by the blessing of a goddess. It was frightening to even bear in the proximity much less be face to face with him

Perhaps it was luck that had wronged you today, or perhaps it was simply the haziness of the island causing you to ignore your instincts and approach him anyway. Whatever the case was, you were now face to face with a monster, one who nearly everybody knew.

CRAP. It was true! 

Indeed it was! Much to Yuuki’s dismay, they were rayshifted higher than anticipated. Luckily she was anticipating it, and was getting very good at landing safely. She had panicked a bit prior, but Saber had reinforced her mystic code, along with reinforcement magic with the Magus activating her circuits, she landed safely. She let out a sigh as she looked up at her Partner in crime.

“I was really hoping we weren’t going to fall, but I’m so grateful for all the precautions we took just in case. I guess it could have been worse, but I have a feeling things will be okay as long as we stick together, right?”  In her hands, she held the Naginata that was crafted for her, while the Tanto blade was sheathed. Emerald hues scanned the vicinity, it seemed like they were alone for the moment.The area looked like a wasteland, barren volcanic bedrock. She wasn’t sure what they were rayshifted into, but better to be safe than sorry. “Should we do some recon first? I’ve got just the familiar in mind for it.” Let’s hope looks aren’t deceiving.

“This blasted place is swarming with Shadow Berserkers...” 

She slumped against the tree behind her, invisible air wavering and revealing the longsword that had long since been needed. It was a drain having it unsealed, but she was having a much harder time pacing herself here for some reason. It took effort, but she concentrated on the blade and watched the shards of a Japanese blade crash into it as if magnetically compelled until the much larger blade was somehow contained in the thin folded steel.

“That’s a bit better...” Atori checked her bag, cursing to herself when she saw her supplies were running low. It was going to be hard regaining energy without nourishment. “If Archer finds out, he’s going to give me a lecture...”
