Firefighters from three departments battled tough and smokey fire tonight in a home on West Division Street
The two-story house fire at 314 W. Division St. was located next to the old Andriachi’s department store.
While in Marquette tonight, we witnessed the big Salvation Army truck headed to the fire with its Red Lights Flashing. I am a fan of the Red Cross.

More mutual aid requested.
The two-story house fire is at 314 W. Division St.
The house fire is located next to the old Andriachi’s department store.
The city of Negaunee Fire Department has been requested to bring its aerial truck.
“Use the alley behind the building,” a dispatcher told Negaunee firefighters.

Ishpeming smokey structure fire involves numerous agencies

(Ishpeming, MI) – Numerous firefighters have been called to battle a smokey house fire in the city of Ishpeming.
The structure fire was reported just before 6 p.m. ET tonight, Dec. 18, 2017.
Firefighters first on the scene reported heavy smoke coming from the home.
The fire is said to be at the corner of Division and South Lake Street. It is said to be the 300 block of Division St.
Those paged to battle or assist include Ishpeming Police, the Ishpeming Fire Department.
The Marquette County Rescue Squad 131 and the Ishpeming Township Volunteer Fire Department. Please avoid the area as traffic is tied up and will be so for more than an hour or two.
