I don't know what faction to pick for Isana. He's so... Bilbo-esque. He won't have been anywhere to become a Warden, he's not from anywhere near Antiva, he's not Dalish...

I guess the bookkeeper for the lords of fortune? Maybe he knows how to fence shit? Who knows, I'm not sure where he's gonna go.

I can't wait to see what song gets attached to Isana from the terrible playlist in my heart. Will he get teenage emo like Cahel Mahariel, metal like Avery Hawke, musical theater like Kaaras Adaar, or is he going to suffer with commander Alistair Shepard in IDOL HELL.

I can't wait to make qunari Isana and dwarf Isana for the mash it together sort the bodies later Isana Stonebreaker's canon run. I think I'm gonna do nari Sana first, if only to test how good the game is at qunari.

A lot of them are dragon age, such as the Origins trio Cahel Mahariel, Cherche Mahariel (belongs to reallyfuckinggay), and Miris Tabris. Then there's the 2 Duo, Avery Hawke and Moses Hawke (belongs to reallyfuckinggay). Finally there's the Inquisition 7 which include Kaaras Lavellan-Adaar, Akri Lavellan-Adaar, Jackel Lavellan (belongs to reallyfuckinggay), Hissra (reallyfuckinggay), Aeronwen Trevelyan, Ian Trevelyan, and Owain Trevelyan.

And that's just my canon run. Non canon Shepards include MK Shepard, Calliope Shepard, and Jacob Shepard. I have non canon Wardens (Rose Cousland, Vonnar Brosca, Zara Aeducan) too. I also have a Solavellan kid named Conan Lavellan-Aclassi and an eventual DA4 character named Isana Stonebreaker.

It just struck me just how repressed Isana is. He's so locked in and controlled that I fully don't think he knows how to actually relax at first. It comes from being in the weird state of being the Stonebreaker's bastard daughter who everyone knew was just... Weird. So he pulled in on himself and just tried to get through the day. He repressed his dreams because his family needed him to help his brother and do the admin work for the mine. He repressed his urges because they were weird and wrong to him and his society. He even repressed his magic because the first time he released it, it got him kicked out.

Even among the Lords, he repressed a lot. It took him ages to admit he was trans because he'd denied it since puberty. After all, like Taash said, nobody likes being a woman. He figured being miserable is just part of being alive. Admitting otherwise might break the dam.

But there's a reason his natural magic is lightning. You can't contain it. You can't repress it. It goes where it wants and lights up the entire sky. It's the purest expression of what Isana is and his desire to be free and released from all his doubts and fears, self imposed and otherwise. Once he starts leaning into it, that's when the dam starts to crack.

It's leaking in the beginning of Veilguard, and it's gonna bust wide open eventually. He can only hold back so long. Maybe the fight with the storm dragon, another entity of lightning, is the last push he needs to set it all free. As he stumbles to his feet, half dead and leaning on his staff to stay standing, he's more alive than ever.

He just needed that final lightning strike to light up the sky and send the waters flooding.
