ISAK ANDIC founder and non-executive Chairman of Mango
Isak Andic Ermay (1953 – 2024) was the founder and Non-executive Chairman of Mango, one of largest international fashion groups. Born in 1953 in Istanbul, he moved to Barcelona with his family when he was fourteen. After entering the fashion sector in the wholesale and retail sectors, in 1984 he founded Mango, today one of the leading companies in the fashion industry.
Throughout his career, Andic held positions such as member of the International Advisory Board of the IESE (IAB) Business School, Vice-Chairman of Banc Sabadell and member of the International Advisory Board of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Investment Advisory Council for Turkey and the Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation. In addition, he was Chairman of Family Business Institute, from 2010 until April 2012, and patron of the MACBA Foundation, the Princess of Asturias Foundation, the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), and the Elena Barraquer Foundation.
Mango currently has over 15,500 employees and is present in more than 120 markets in all five continents with a network of 2,800 stores and a major online activity.

Il proprietario della casa di moda Mango, Isak Andic, è morto tragicamente all'età di 71 anni dopo essere caduto da una parete rocciosa di 150 metri durante una vacanza in montagna con la famiglia, vicino a Barcellona. Andic, considerato uno degli uomini più ricchi della Spagna con un patrimonio netto stimato da Forbes a 4,5 miliardi di euro, era la persona più ricca della Catalogna. In precedenza, nel 2010, era stato classificato come il 32° ebreo più ricco del mondo. A seguito di un incidente avvenuto mentre visitava le Grotte di Collbato, il figlio Jonathan ha allertato i servizi di emergenza, ma non è stato possibile salvare il padre. La tragedia è accaduta poco dopo mezzogiorno di sabato, quando Andic stava camminando su un sentiero.
