In terms of specific dialogue lines, I seem to keep coming back to Lilia’s observation that “Sad is better than angry” when looking at relationships. It just seems to ring true, and there’s something to be said about how sadness is probably the closest space to acceptance when it comes to grief and loss.

From another perspective, I will forever appreciate the line “If you want a straight answer, ask a straight lady”. Its significance in terms of representation, its delivery, how it’s absolutely a thing a gay person would say, how Schaeffer happily stands behind it — all of it.

17. …the world-building aspect of the story I have the greatest admiration for.

I really admire how with the context of the MCU they really defined and celebrated witches and witchcraft. Like even in Wandavision I really appreciated how they built up the lore around the Scarlet Witch as a mythical figure, not just someone with weird powers.

They made it such that there’s a whole culture and identity, and history and community and tradition around being a witch. Witches can bend reality but also perform small miracles with analogue magic. Magic is intention. Witches are selfish, but they also need a coven.

Witches in the MCU are now a thing to be respected and feared (looking at you MoM Strange). And that’s not even touching on how they defined Death as The Green Witch.

19. …one behind-the-scenes trivia fact I've learned somewhere and my thoughts on it.

I’m tickled by the fact that they had a live tarantula on set and Aubrey Plaza couldn’t handle it. Her end credits frame features a tarantula crawling across the screen too. And this same witchy woman wore a spider-themed outfit to the D23 event.

There’s plenty of symbolism around spiders of course, including ones around death and creation, although I wonder if there’s a specific reference they were going for.

I started shipping them the moment Rio said the line about being in control and Agatha's brain visibly short-circuited. It was all downhill from there baby.

1. …why I love them, like them or hate them.

Love, obviously duh, for the both of them.

I mean, everything Kathryn Hahn aside, Agatha’s such a compelling character with seemingly contradictory traits.

She's so smart but also so dumb. She's clever and tactical but also so driven by ego and hubris and has so much trauma she fucks things up. She can be so powerful and commanding but also so shameless when it comes to surviving. She can be so mean and so funny but also so broody and sad.

And she's a witch! Because I like supernatural things.

For Rio, well y'know I have this huge soft spot when it comes to autistic coded characters who aren't quite human. The ones who feel too much but also not enough, who are maybe too honest and direct and weird and lonely.

8. …a headcanon I have about this character.

With all that this show leaves open for interpretation the line between headcanon and canon sure is fuzzy. Hm, I like to think that deep down Agatha does get that the folks of Westview looked after her when they didn't have to, during a period where she was most vulnerable, and she doesn't know what to do with this feeling. But she will be keeping an eye on the town when she can.

As for Rio, my headcanon is that the Snap really pissed her off and potentially fucked her up. What the fuck is this perfect balance bullshit. She would absolutely bring Thanos back just to very painfully kill him again if she could.

Worry not, I'm not leaving QSMP yet. Even if it hurts. If Phil's done, I'll likely migrate to Fit for it. Provided he streams when Phil doesn't. 😅

And I'll be damned if this stops me from completing AMFMN. Apollo has hinted during a brief reading with him that he'll kick my ass. We NEED more Phil centric fics, it's half the reason I said fuck it we ball and started AMFMN to begin with. That goblin of a deity is INVESTED in the story. I think I'd get sunburn for eternity if I left it incomplete.

And I have a perhaps therapeutic idea to write Phil coming home to the Hardcore World via Rose after departing with the kids. I think I'm gonna go for it, even if it hurts to write and I cry during doing so. :p

I'm not sure what'll become of that QSMP AU I was cooking on but I don't think I'll discontinue that before it even begins either. Additionally, I've played with the idea of just. Continuing some kind of AU storyline post-AMFMN. Like writing stuff (headcanons or short story(s)) after the events of the fic. We'll see.

I've been miserable at worst and palpably sad at best the last 2 days, and we'll see what happens during and after Phil's stream today, but.. at least for now at this good hour of 10am, I'm feeling,, better-ish. Cautiously optimistic. I don't want to leave (and I especially don't want to lose the amazing mutuals and friends I've made 😭). I'm not going anywhere.

Axel/Lea, Saix/Isa spicy HCs

while I'm on my KH kick, I figured I'd take a shot at general nsfw headcanons for Axel and Saix. Maybe I'll work with more specific concepts and kinks with them someday, and maybe I'll get to some other Org members in the future~ 18+ NSFW v

Saix/Isa - Saix is a serious kind of guy, so he might not have sex on the brain very often. When the mood strikes though, he's direct and focused- he'll grab onto your hips and pull you to him and press his lips and teeth up your neck and along your jawline. He might not say a word, but he makes his desire extremely clear.

- I'm definitely into the common head-canon that Saix goes a little feral on the full moon. At least once a month, you can expect that he'll need you much more often and handle you more forcefully than usual.

- He is definitely rough, but not necessarily in a violent way- more in a forceful, dominant way. He'll direct you by hand into the position he wants, and when he thrusts into you, his pace is steady and regulated, but very deep and firm.

- Saix tends to "do most of the work" by default, so he'll be pleasantly surprised if you decide to take the initiative now and then. He's so used to having to brute-force his way through situations that when you ease onto his lap and spoil him with gentle, loving brushes of your lips and fingertips, he absolutely melts. Your crush on Courtney begins long before you get recruited by Cindy Burman to follow in your ISA parent's footsteps. She's the new girl in school and catches your eye right away, a feeling that doesn't go away even after she's been in Blue Valley for a while.

At this point you're too nervous to ask her out. She makes you tongue tied and you fear rejection so it's difficult to take the leap. You quietly crush on her for months.

But when Cindy recruits you and you discover who you truly are, things change. As you train and finally take up the mantle of your parent, you gain so much more confidence. You feel like someone who could actually ask a girl out without making a total fool of himself.

Finally, you pull Courtney aside at school to tell her that you've liked her for months and that you'd love to take her on a date. Unfortunately it doesn't go the way that you hope, you can tell by the way Courtney's eyes widen then turn apologetic.

"I'm sorry, I just don't think that's a good idea."

It sucks, sure. You were hoping for a much more positive answer, but you accept it even though it stings. You just wish she had told you why.

It pains Courtney to turn you down, because she's had a bit of a crush on you as well. But she also knows that you're an ISA legacy, which wouldn't bother her as much on its own. It's the fact that you've joined Cindy's team and are out to hurt people like your ISA parent did.

Once you come face to face with Stargirl for the first time, you know she and Courtney are the same person. Her hair and voice are pretty distinct, and her mask doesn't really do much. You're surprised by this obviously, but you quickly put together that she must have turned you down because she knows who you are.

You catch up with Courtney the next day and talk with her, revealing that you now know about her alter ego as well. She admits that's why she turned you down, since you're in league with Cindy and want to pursue life as a villain.

"I know we're not on the same side when we're in costume, but that doesn't mean we can't give this a try, Courtney."

This is something that Courtney would have a hard time with initially, but she also looks for the good in people, and she sees it in you. So eventually you'll get that long awaited date with her.

She’s adept with a large number of weapons, though her talent lies with the bo-staff. After traveling with Leslie Thompkins to Africa, Stephanie picked up a good bit of medical knowledge from her. 

BIOGRAPHY TW; Childhood abuse, drug use

The daughter of Crystal Brown and Arthur Brown, aka the Cluemaster, Stephanie grew up in the slums of Gotham. Her house was always frequented by criminals of both the petty and super variety and she grew up in constant fear of her father. He was mostly absent, in and out of prison. A drug addict, her mother was similarly absent from her life or too far gone to properly parent her, which left Stephanie mostly on her own. Because of a strong resentment of her father, Stephanie always looked up to Batman and would spend long hours on top of her house at night searching for his silhouette in the sky.

After her father was released from prison and returned to a life of crime, this time without giving Batman and Robin clues as to his whereabouts, Stephanie (now age 13) decided she’d had enough and became the Spoiler. She left clues for the Dynamic Duo to follow and eventually led them to her father’s base of operation, where she helped take him down. Each time her father was released or escaped, she donned the Spoiler uniform to assist Batman and Robin in catching him. During this time, she and Tim Drake grew closer together and eventually established a relationship together. Soon, Spoiler began patrolling regularly despite both Tim and Batman’s requests for her to stop.

When Tim retired early from the Robin role due to his father discovering the truth, Stephanie stitched her own homemade Robin costume and broke into the Batcave where she demanded he take her in as his protegee. Bruce agreed without alerting Tim, and Stephanie began her training. As Robin, she assisted in taking down Victor Zsasz, Tiger Moth, as well as a hired mercenary sent to kill the Robin before her. In this time, she and Tim broke up.

Despite the good work that Stephanie did as Robin, her tendency to push the rules and disobey Batman’s orders led to Bruce firing her from the role in December of 2014, six months after she had asked for it. In an attempt to prove herself to her former mentor, Stephanie stole and enacted a series of contingency plans that depended on the presence of one Matches Malone- one of Bruce’s alter egos. Without his intervention, the plans quickly spiraled out of control and turned into a city-wide gang war. The mobster known as Black Mask kidnapped her and tortured her extensively for information on Batman. Stephanie escaped and barely made it to Leslie Thompkins’ clinic, convincing Leslie to help her fake her own death. Batman sits with her as she ‘dies’.

Stephanie spent almost two years in Africa with Doctor Thompkins, doing volunteer work for the locals. Here, she learned from Leslie and did her best to live her life without the heroics. However, she soon realized she missed her life as a vigilante and returned to Gotham in August of 2016. She reunited with her mother, now rehabilitated from her addiction, and donned the guise of Spoiler once again to help Tim Drake, now Robin once more, track down a thief named Violet. Batman and Robin tracked her down soon after and she revealed her identity, much to their surprise. She learned of Jason Todd’s return and his escapades as Red Hood, as well as the murder of Black Mask.

In February of the next year, Cassandra Cain gave up her role as Batgirl and gifted her costume to Stephanie, who begins wearing it to track down the Scarecrow who had been putting out a new drug into the streets of Gotham. Barbara Gordon attempted to dissuade her, but after witnessing Stephanie taking on the Scarecrow by herself the former Batgirl gave Steph her blessing to continue working as Batgirl and even supplied her with a new suit. Stephanie and Barbara continue working together until September, when the UN introduced the Sokovia Accords to the public. Stephanie, frightened by the development, takes a week off from her duties as Batgirl to think on it and focus on her schoolwork.

After coming to a decision, Stephanie resumed work as Batgirl and assisted the Batfamily in repelling raids from the ISA in Gotham. She graduated high school in 2018 and began attending college in 2019. However, in June disaster struck. Bruce Wayne was discovered as a major supplier for the Nomads and his assets were frozen. In retaliation, Bruce bombed the Batcave and burned the Manor to the ground before disappearing completely from Gotham. Shaken, Stephanie doubled down as Batgirl until October of 2020.

After a successful patrol, Stephanie was ambushed by the ISA and nearly killed. Barely escaping, she retreated to a safehouse to lie low for a few days both for safety and a chance to think. Realizing it was too dangerous for her to continue, that patrol would be Batgirl’s last in Gotham. After telling Barbara about what had happened, she offered to take Stephanie with her and the two of them relocated to the Mousehole.

HEADCANONS

Stephanie is an extremely good person to talk to about your issues as she usually has good emotional insight and will listen to what you have to say. However, she is desperate for her own outlet and tends to infodump about her issues in return.

Stephanie sees Barbara like an older sister and respects her greatly. She values Barbara's input more than she shows and will default to her when she needs help.

Stephanie is hyperactive! She's very bouncy and tends to have a lot of energy at all times. This makes it hard for her to sit and wait for something to happen, but it also helps her be more alert

When Stephanie is nervous, she'll rub her palms together awkwardly or will bounce on her feet. She also tends to chew her hair when she's not paying attention to herself

Stephanie’s favorite hobbies include doing makeup, stress sewing, baking, and entertaining herself by tormenting her friends

When she’s upset, she’ll wrap herself up in a cape she stole from Batman when she was Robin. If she doesn’t have access to it, a weighted blanket will suffice

Shippers are definitely allowed to be upset at being called creepy (can’t believe that needs saying but this is the JSE fandom so) but honestly this is one of those things that I don’t even have the capacity to be angry about anymore. Anyone who ships the egos has heard this, and we’ve heard it eight million times. We know exactly what these people say about us, and we also know that no one else in the community cares. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it every day if I have to: the reason things like this are so asinine and hurtful are because ego shippers are without contest the nicest part of this fandom (they’re also the most talented, which is I think a bigger part of the issue than people realize lol - for some of those people, it truly is jealousy). I don’t give a single fuck if people in this fandom like me; it’s when I see people, especially LGBTQ+ people, talk about how ashamed they feel of shipping and making secret blogs to avoid backlash for it, that I get angry. Because to see the kindest, most welcoming people in the fandom feeling like they don’t belong - being told that they don’t belong - is heartbreaking.

I didn’t see the ‘should people who hate ego ships have their own tag’ part of the discourse, but all I can say is that if the concept of gay people writing stories that represent their own identities makes you so angry that you feel the need to comment on it in literally any way that isn’t ‘hey I personally don’t like ego shipping so don’t tag me in it or send it to me,’ I don’t think what you need is a tag, I think what you need is probably therapy. 

Unless what you meant is should there be a specific tag they can block, in which case the answer is absolutely: the name of whatever ship they’re uncomfortable with. It’s absolutely valid to be uncomfortable with/hate a certain ship - I’m sure plenty of shippers have a few - and if there’s more than one, you can easily block more than one ship name. If you hate the concept of any of these male characters being shipped together, it’s your responsibility to block all those tags. Some people may tag ‘ego shipping’ on fanworks they post (sometimes it’s nice to do - I track ‘ego shipping!’ Get that exposure, y’all!) but that’s in no way required. It’s not something that necessitates warning, like violence or sexual content; there’s nothing inherently objectionable or controversial about ego shipping (or any other queer content) so it doesn’t need to be tagged and it most certainly doesn’t need to be warned for. 

By the wayside, using names is fine on my blog. I’m definitely a big believer in ‘if what you’re saying is justified, you sign your name to it and don’t subpost or be passive aggressive; own it entirely, otherwise it’s just gossip and shit talk.’ I’ll always risk ‘drama’ to make my stance clear.  Every time I see a blog that has one of those weird insult things isa-ghost gives out in their description - idk if it’s an AU or like a joke but they’re like “’ugly carrot’ according to isa-ghost” or “’unwanted suitcase’ according to isa-ghost” - I desperately want to add “’petty shipper’ according to isa-ghost” to my description but I mean I think that might validate the ‘petty’ part a little too much jghjfgh. ‘Horrid’ is maybe a stronger word than I would use for s-d-s but I mean if they’ve made you feel uncomfortable you have a right to say so. I’ve never had an issue with people just saying on their own blog that they personally don’t like shipping which to the best of my knowledge is what that person mainly sticks to, even if I agree it’s pretty clear that her stance is the same as the people who are actively horrible to us, and I did take issue with something (unrelated to shipping) she said once so I don’t really interact with her. The blogs I’m always talking about that I really find disgusting are the ones that call us gross, the ones that claim we shouldn’t like it or should ‘trigger warn’ it, the ones who say we don’t belong in the community, the ones who say we should ‘have our lgbt cards taken away’ lol. That’s the thing - we literally are asking for the most basic of respect. The bar is literally underground, and these people just keep picking up shovels.

Honestly, my reaction to this happening is ‘well, what are we gonna do about it?’ Not in a defeatist way - I’m genuinely asking. What can we do to make sure all the wonderful, creative, talented, sweet ego shippers know that they’re valued members of this community, and deserve better than this kind of treatment? To anyone who may still be reading who isn’t actively a shipper but likes to consider themselves a kind & welcoming community, I’m sorry, but I need to ask you to do better. If you see someone saying something actively mean or disrespectful about ego shippers, at the very least, unfollow & stop interacting. I know that’s a big ask, even if it shouldn’t be, because these are big blogs and you want to feel included and have friends. But continuing to support them is by nature saying that it’s acceptable behavior, that it’s just a difference of opinion, and again, once it crosses that line, it’s not anymore. By all means, interact with people who don’t ship and don’t like shipping - interact with ONLY those people if you want. And of course I can’t tell you what to do when it comes to the downright mean people, I’m just asking you to consider what you’re saying when you tolerate people who insult and demean certain community members for no reason, and I’m also asking you not to further insult us by telling us you support us while making it very clear that you don’t care if we’re treated with basic respect or not.

And to the shippers, my ‘what can we do?’ is a genuine, open-ended question. If there’s anything that I personally can do to make you feel welcome in this community, please tell me what it is. I’m not a very popular blog at all, but you should always feel free to tag me in/send me any ego ship content and I’ll happily reblog it, and god knows I’m always around to talk about ships, AUs, headcanons, and that kind of thing! I’m also around to talk just in general - if you’re feeling ashamed, angry, or sad about your place in the fandom, I’ve always got open ears and heart emojis for you. Jameson Jackson || Headcanon / Theory 

JJ is not as innocent as we like to believe. I think he works with Anti. If I recall correctly he’s the only ego that had glitches in his premiere video(?)…the others after their stories progressed. JJ has no powers, but maybe was a serial killer in his generation. He used acting/silent films to throw people off accusing him. They take his films just as his craft...but maybe life imitates art and a victim had the same carved fate as that pumpkin. Anti can “possess” him (black eyes in vid glitch) to make him stronger. To me it explains why he seems so innocent… serial killer/psychopaths/sociopaths can all be very likable. Time is so broken…’cause Anti splits time to bring him to the present when he needs him. JJ is a (selective) mute…’cause well it’s easier for the others to trust him that way. Can’t possibly slip up in convos. They trust him so much they befriended him & let him in their friend circle…but he is Anti’s inside man. I think Marvin’s magic is strong enough to warp time…I think he’s the one who got them all into that Discord Channel “Watching”. Anti was there with the zalgo because he can easily find JJ…or JJ is his eyes at times. Anti also says “Always watching” and want us to pay attention… Well you know what you always need to keep watching…Silent Films & Sign Language. If you don’t you will miss something. 

Why would he work with Anti? It’s like making a deal with the Devil. An exchange. Maybe JJ wants infamy & fame. If an actor goes missing out of know where he we be loved more & films become classics... Now if a killer is never caught you will spawn copycats and will be talked about throughout history.

I. FAQ:

1. Will other egos/characters be in the story? - Right now we don’t plan on adding any other egos, be it Jack’s or Mark’s or anybody else’s. As for characters, they appear as we go.

2. What’s Marvin’s gender? - They are genderfluid, meaning their gender can change: male, female, both or neither. Usually, they don’t care what pronouns you address them [he/she/them] if they do feel like using a certain pronoun that day - they will politely ask for it.

3. What about time and place of the events? - Well, we didn’t want to limit ourselves to a certain country, but it’s a place in the northern hemisphere, with port, forest and river. The time is present or even slightly futuristic considering existence of BING, but some aesthetics can appear like from ’20 and ‘30.

4. Will Jack be in the story? - No. For the personal reason, we prefer not to include real people in this AU

5. Are there/Will there be any romantic or intimate relationships in the story? - As the story starts, Marvin, Anti and Jackie are in open poly-relationship, however, it’s not the main point of the story nor will be any romantic relationship. As for others... we will just have to see, no spoilers :)

6. Who is Jacques/Angus/Connor/Bing/Shawn? - Jacques is French artist who appeared in series like Passpartout - Angus comes from OLD series on Jack’s channel called: The Survival Hunter - Connor (The Announcer) is an ego whose voice appears in series like “Japan World Cup” or “Stories Untold”. Connor is a name I came up with - Bing (Bingsepticeye) is a fan character, that was created as Jack’s version of Mark’s Google (Before Mark’s Bing appeared) - Shawn Flynn is a character from BATIM, Jack did the voice for him in the game. (None of those characters has canon name /except for Shawn/ or design so all of them were designed by me.)

7. Are all artworks on your blog related to the Mob AU? - No, I do other stuff as well, this is my art blog, all Mob AU stuff will be tagged as #egos-mob-au

8. Here's mine:

Chase is the glowstick hoarder out of them. In fact, they count as his lights. (You know, like stringing up christmas lights or sonething)

Marvin would so be the one to own a cat that gets in trouble and the others just go "Aw, is Marvin being mean to you?"

JJ likes photography. There's no rhyme or reason, he just likes it for the beautiful images.

Chase gets in a lot of trouble for vandalism; he just can't help but spray-paint on brick walls and old train cars. He's gotten really good at spray-paint

Jackie would totally find Chase a space to do his spray-painting, like an old studio or something. Chase would still vandalize though, just for "the fun" (adrenaline)

Anti has a beautiful knife colletion bc he just fucking feels like having one, he's the chaotic evil god and does whatever he damn wants.

Has lost his voice from screaming several times. From Pain or that Dumb Anime Battle Yelling is a mystery. Also that spicy trope where when he screams bc of cracking under pressure and his powers do a big burst that does a lot of damage

On rare occasions someone has had to pull him off of people (esp Anti) during fights bc he just gets totally taken over by his temper if the person is shitty enough. He heavily dislikes this about himself but its something he’s yet to get better at.
