Chapter 17

Part 2, Rescue Mission To The 18th Floor

I touched one of the Loki Familia yurts. I did it so I could create yurts later on if I needed to. Or I should say smaller yurts since I can already create larger yurts. I found a clear spot at the outer edge of the Loki encampment and created two yurts for our group. While I was at it, I created beds, bedding, chairs and a few other items we would need or want for our stay at the 'Under Resort'.

I would have used one of my Pocket Plains or Pocket Dimensions (PD), but for some reason the Loki Familia wasn't using the PD I had sold them. Because of that, I thought it might be prudent to not use one as well. It is quite possible they had forgotten that the PD could be moved and left it at the Familia's home.

Bell had gone off by himself while the rest of us were sitting around a small fire relaxing. "I hear there's a town down here. Everything's extremely expensive but it's still something to do." I told my Team, Welf and Lili. While Mikoto, Ouka and Chigusa were at one of the Loki Familia campfire.

Rosni, Cindy, Iris, Hestia, Kimmy, Welf, Lili and I were sitting around our campfire, while our Companions were keeping watch.

"Hestia, would you update our status? My Team's and Mine." I asked Hestia. "And I'd like a copy of what are status is right now before you update each of our status." I added.

"Sure, I can do that. Where do you want to do it?" Hestia replied.

I nodded my head in understanding. "We can use the guy's tent." I offered.

"That should work." Hestia admitted.

"In the tent then." I told Hestia and I stood up. I motioned to my Team. "Come on, let's see what we got from fighting all those monsters coming down here." I told them.

Rosni, Iris, Cindy and Kimmy all stood up and headed to the guy's tent. Once inside Iris laid down on one of the beds after she removed her shirt. Hestia sat on Iris's legs and worked on her status. Hestia put a piece of paper on Iris's back and circled her hand over the paper, a light glowed under the paper, then Hestia removed the paper and handed it to me. Next, Hestia went to work on Iris's status. "You ranked up! You're level two!" Hestia exclaimed. "And you have the Hunter, Developmental Ability. You must have been doing a lot of fighting a lot of different monsters to get that." Hestia told Iris. "It improves your abilities against monsters that you have fought and gained excelia from." Hestia explained.

"That's great. You'll be able to fight monsters a lot easier with that." I told Iris.

"Woo Hoo!" Cindy yelled. "Way to go Iris."

"You're at I-0 in all of your stats, as well as your new Developmental Ability, Hunter. But when you rank up most of your abilities go to I-0 and you have to have at least one 'D' or higher to rank up again. " Hestia told Iris. "Who's next?" She said after closing and sealing Iris's status.

Iris crawled off the bed and put her shirt back on. Kimmy took Iris's place on the bed after she removed her shirt.

Hestia sat on Kimmy's legs and updated her status. "You ranked up too, and you have the Hunter Developmental Ability as well." Hestia told Kimmy. Then she turned and looked at me with a questioning look on her face.

I shrugged my shoulders. "We do spend a lot of time in the dungeon fighting a lot of different monsters." I said.

Hestia turned back to Kimmy. "Ok, you're done." Hestia said as she moved so Kimmy could get off of the bed.

Rosni took Kimmy's place. Again, Hestia went through Rosni's status. "You didn't rank up but it looks like you could rank up at any time." Hestia told Rosni.

"Rosni's mainly our supporter so she doesn't fight monsters as much as we do. Although we have been spending more time lately letting her fight so she can Rank up sooner rather than later." I informed Hestia.

Hestia nodded her head in understanding. "You're finished." Hestia told Rosni.

Rosni was replaced by Cindy. Hestia sighed. "You ranked up as well." Hestia told Cindy, then she looked at me. "What is it with all of you ranking up at the same time?" Hestia asked me.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Like I said, we've spent quite a lot of time in the dungeon, and the girls killed a lot of Minotaur's by themselves on the way down here." I reminded Hestia.

Hestia looked back at Cindy. "That's true. You do spend a lot of time in the Dungeon." Hestia admitted. "Cindy has her first Skill. It's called Atreorú. I'm not sure what it means." Hestia told us.

"Atreorú means redirect. It could mean to redirect physical attacks or to redirect magical attacks or both. We'll have to wait and see through trial and error." I said.

Cindy gave me a dirty look. "Oh, ya, make me the guinea pig." She told me, with a grin on her face and she stuck her tongue out at me.

I removed my shirt and laid down on the bed. Hestia took her place sitting on my legs. "I'm guessing you'll have ranked up as well." Hestia stated.

I chuckled. "I wouldn't be surprised. I did kill a group of three Minotaurs on the seventeenth floor all by myself, after all." I told Hestia.

Hestia smiled. "You did, didn't you." Hestia replied. She put a piece of paper on my back and made a copy of my status and handed me the paper. Then she started updating my status. "As I suspected. You ranked up as well. You also have a Development Ability, it's called, Enigma. It allows you to make magic items." Hestia said with surprise in her voice.

"Okay, that's different." I said to no one in particular. "I know of a few magic items I would like to make that would be useful."

"You're finished." Hestia said and moved so I could get up.

I stood up and put my shirt back on. "We'll freak the Guild out when we all go in and tell them we all ranked up at the same time." I said and chuckled.

I wasn't going to tell Hestia that I had held back some of my stats before I joined her Familia, so when I ranked up, I could raise my stats up to 'SS' or 'SSS'. I can do that five times or more from what I've held back. Although I can increase my abilities at any time to that of Superman. I can also give my Team members, or anyone for that matter, a boost in their status every time they rank up. But then I can give everyone in Orario the abilities and powers of spiderman or even superman if I wanted to. I had done the same for Cindy, Iris and Kimmy, Nullifying part of their abilities so I could give them back each time they ranked up so they could rank up to the next Level faster.

"Everyone should know, now that we ranked up, we will have to fight a few monsters so our new higher status and our minds will mesh together. Our minds aren't used to how strong, how fast, and how dexterous our bodies are. So, it will take two or three good fights before our minds get used to how much better our bodies work." I informed my Team.

"Thanks for letting us know." "That's good to know." "I think I heard something about that, but it's good to be reminded." I received from the girls.

"Hee hee hee hee." Iris giggled. "Just think of the look on Eina's face when we all go in and tell her our whole team ranked up."

I looked at Hestia. "The Hestia Familia will get the reputation of having their adventurers ranking up faster than any other Familia." I said with a grin on my face.

"Oh, ya, we'll get people wanting to join my Familia!" Hestia said excitedly. Hestia's twin ponytails were swishing around like a strong wind was blowing through the tent we were in.

"Possibly, but even if people do want to join the Hestia Familia, you'll have to be very careful who you let join. Most will just want to join believing they'll rank up really fast and won't care about you or the rest of us. So don't let anyone join until I've checked them out thoroughly. Okay?" I said to Hestia.

"My little Familia could grow really fast, but I understand what you're talking about. So, I'll wait to let anyone join until we both check out potential new recruits first." Hestia said with a frown on her face.

I understand how Hestia felt, but it is better to be careful then to just let anyone that wants to join our Familia to join. I also know that no one can lie to these 'gods' so it is virtually impossible for anyone to deceive Hestia to get into her Familia. But in her excitement, there is always a chance Hestia might not be as thorough as she should be. That is why I wanted to double check anyone that wants to join the Hestia Familia.

"Oh, and remember at the next Denatus, when the 'gods' meet to give aliases for those that ranked up. Try to get our aliases, having to do with our 'Spirit Animals'. Something like 'Spirit of the Wolf' or 'Dragon Spirit'. I'm sure Hermes will help out and if you talk to Miach and Take' they'll probably try to help out with the names as well." I suggested to Hestia. "You can tell the 'gods' that Asfi and Take's children told you they saw auras of our 'Spirit Animals' around us when we fought monsters in the dungeon. I'm also hoping Hermes and Asfi will start rumors about that as well." I added.

"I'll do my best." Hestia assured me.

"At least Bell won't feel like an odd ball now for ranking up so fast." Cindy said.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"True." "Hopefully."

"But I didn't rank up yet, meow." Rosni said a little dejected.

"You haven't been fighting as much as we have. So, on the way out you might try to fight as many monsters as you can. That will help you rank up. And if you fight a Minotaur or three on the way out. That might give you what you need to rank up. Hestia said you're fairly close to ranking up as it is." I tried to cheer up Rosni.

"Ya, I didn't try to fight any Minotaur's on the way down like you suggested, Meowster Eilwyn." Rosni admitted. "On the way out… the Minotaur's are mine!" Rosni said with conviction and determination.

The next morning my Team and I headed to Rivira. I reminded everyone that if they buy anything in Rivira they would be paying ten times or more than what it would cost above ground. We arrived at the gate to Rivira right before Hestia and Bell. Bell was carrying Hestia, piggyback style, because Hestia had complained about the long walk from the Loki Familia camp to Rivira.

"Morning lady Hestia, morning Bell." I greeted them.

Hestia had a glum look on her face. "Why did everyone have to come along on my date with Bell?!" Hestia said grumpily.

I chuckled. "Lady Hestia, you should have known that most of those in the camp would want to come to Rivira. If for no other reason than to have something to do." I told Her.

Still frowning. "Yah, I know. I just hoped it would be just Bell and me." Hestia admitted.

As we walked around, I saw a perfume vender. "I don't know why anyone would want to buy perfume down here. If you use it, it would attract monsters." I said and shrugged my shoulders.

"Maybe they sell some scents that you can't get above ground." Iris said.

"Possibly, but why not take those scents to the surface and sell them for the same price. Although if someone could come up with scents that either mask your scent or repels monsters. That would be something good to sell down here, as well as on the surface." I observed.

I'd hate to have to buy a weapon down here. You could buy a house on the surface for what a weapon cost down here in Rivira.

"We can't buy anything anyway. Since everything cost so much, no one can carry that much money with them. So, when you buy something, you either use magic stones and drop items or you give them your Familia's symbol. If you use your Familia's symbol, later on someone comes to collect the money when you are above ground. The Hestia Familia doesn't have a symbol yet, so we can't buy anything unless another Familia would allow us to use their symbol. And I for one wouldn't want to do that." I explained.

We spent another hour or so at Rivira then we went back to our camp site.

Some of the girls in the Loki Familia started talking about going and taking a bath in a little while in one of the ponds by a water fall that Tiona knows about.

Because many of the girls from camp were going to take a bath, I knew Hermes would try to take Bell to the pond to be peeping Toms. I wasn't going to do anything about that, although I was going to prevent Bell from running blindly into the forest and getting lost.

I waited until Bell started running away and I ported to an area where I would be in Bell's path. Once there, I stopped Bell in his tracks.

"Bell, Bell, settle down. You're going to get lost if you keep running headlong into the forest like this." I said as I held his shoulders to keep him from running away.

"But I, I did something I shouldn't have!" Bell said in a panic, almost in tears.

"Bell! It wasn't your fault! Hermes put you up to it and you did try to leave as soon as you learned what Hermes was up to." I told him.

"I'm a terrible person I shouldn't…" Bell started.

I cut Bell off. "BELL! Stop it! You put yourself down and blame yourself for things that are not your fault and are out of your control. You have a bad habit of regarding yourself as inferior. You need to stop doing that. What you don't realize is many people look up to you. People that are 'stronger' than you, want to be like you and to be as strong as you are." I informed Bell.

"I'm not strong. I have a long way to go before I…" Bell faltered and stopped talking because he almost revealed to me why and who he wanted to get stronger for.

"You don't have to be as strong as someone else to be close to them. All you have to do is be yourself. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be as strong as someone you idolize but that does not mean you 'have' to be as strong as them to be close to them. Besides putting someone or a group of people on a pedestal only puts them out of reach." I tried to explain.

"There is a girl I know named Pyrrha. She won a major contest four years in a row, which had never been done before. Because of her skill at fighting, people started putting her on a pedestal. Because of that, almost no one thought they were good enough to talk to her or to even be around her. So, she didn't have any friends outside of her own family, until she attended Beacon Academy where she was teamed up with Juan, Nora and Ren. Juan had never heard of her and treated her like he would treat anyone else. I knew about her, but my Team and I treated her like we would treat anyone else as well. Because of how we treated her, Pyrrha was able to have real friends. To this day Pyrrha and I are friends and Juan and Pyrrha are very good friends because we didn't treat her as if she was out of our reach or better than we are." I told Bell about the story of Pyrrha from the RWBY universe.

"So, putting someone on a pedestal or thinking they are out of your reach just because they know more or can do more than you do, hurts them and yourself. Be inspired by your idol, work hard to be as good as your idol or even better than they are, and strive to be like they are. But don't think they are to good for you until you are as good as they are. The person you want to be like and/or close to might be a lonely person because so many people put them on that pedestal and won't talk to them because everyone believe they are not worthy to be close to the person they put up on that pedestal." I finished.

Bell stared at me with his mouth open in shock because I had just described how he felt about Ais.

"I'll use myself as an example. I'm not trying to brag or puff myself up, but I'm over ten times stronger than my teammates. They will never be able to reach my abilities. Does that mean they should give up trying to be close to me?" I asked and looked at Bell.

Bell blushed and looked at the ground. "But your teammates are the same level as you are, so they are equal to you. They have caught up to you."

I chuckled. "Yes, we are the same level, but I'm still a lot stronger than they are I have more abilities than they do. They will never be equal or even close to equal with me, yet they don't think they have to be equal to me to be close to me. They accept me as I am and I accept them as they are." I tried to explain.

"I'll use Ais as another example." I started. Bell stopped walking and his blush deepened.

I stopped walking as well and looked at Bell. "Even with all my strength and abilities, there is no way I can be equal to or have close to the experience that Ais has. She's been Dungeon diving for eight years. There is no way I can gain that kind of experience to be close to her. That means for us to be 'close' I would have to accept I'll always have less experience than she has. And I'm sure she would not hold it against me that I don't have as much experience as she has."

I chuckled again. "You and Ais have more in common than you think. Ais wants to get stronger, and you want to get stronger. Ais will go headfirst into fighting in the Dungeon and fight a swarm of monsters not thinking of what might happen to her." I said then looked at Bell. "You do the same thing. You went into the dungeon with no armor and one knife because you wanted to get stronger."

We were getting close to the Loki camp, and I wanted to finish this up so I could go talk to Ryu.

"All I'm saying is you don't have to be equal with your idol to be close to your idol. And don't put your idol on a pedestal, treat them like a normal person. They can be someone you look up to and someone you can learn from, but don't treat them as if they are unapproachable. Just treat your idol like you would treat me, Welf or Lili. Talk to your idol like you would talk to Welf, Lili or me." I told Bell and smiled. "And one more thing. Don't listen to what other people say about how close 'you' can be to your idol. It's not up to other people on how close you can be or what kind of relationship you can have with your idol. It is up to your idol on how close you can be to them and what kind of relationship you can have with them. Take your idol's actions on how close you can be to them and what kind of relationship you can have with them. If your idol pushes you away then you need to keep your distance, but if they try to be close you to, don't run away from them." I finished my lecture.

"The camp is that way." I told Bell and pointed in the direction of the Loki camp. "I have something else to do so I'll see you later." I said and turned to leave.

"Thank you, Eilwyn. You have given me a lot to think about." Bell told me as I walked away.

I turned around as I walked, facing backwards. "You're welcome." I said then turned back around and headed off to find Ryu.

Before turning back around I called out to Bell. "Oh, Bell. If someone knocks you out and you wake up with your head on their lap. Don't jump up screaming and trying to get away. If she gives you a lap pillow, it might comfort her as well as you." I added and turned around and started walking away.

I did a quick mental search for Ryu, then I ported to where she was. When I ported in, I made sure I was facing away from Ryu because she was in a creek taking a bath.

"You really shouldn't be out here by yourself." I said.

"Who's there…!" Ryu started and threw a knife towards me. I reached out and caught the knife as it flew by my head.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." I apologized.

"Why are you here and how did you catch my knife so easily?"

"I wanted to make sure you were safe. I know you are Level four and that you have Melita with you. But I still believe you would be safer if you stayed in camp. No one would know it was you if you used your alternat human form from Melita. Besides we have our own tents, or I can set up another tent for you." I offered.

"As for the knife, I have very good reflexes." I added.

"You were not looking when you caught it."

I shrugged my shoulders. "Taima was though."

Ryu looked off to the side to where Melita was sitting on the shore in her cat form. "I see. We appreciate the offer, but we are fine on our own." Ryu said and I heard water splashing. "Don't turn around, I'm getting out." She stated.

As Ryu dried off and dressed. "I want to thank you for coming along to help rescue Bell, Lili and Welf." I said.

"No, please don't concern yourself. I was planning to come to this floor anyway." Ryu replied.

"I have something to take care of before leading you back to the campsite. Can you spare some of your time?"

I nodded my head in agreement, even though I didn't need Ryu to lead me back to my camp.

"Thank you." She said and started walking off.

"I assume that god Hermes has informed you about my past already."

"No, he didn't."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"It seems I have come to the wrong conclusion…" Ryu was looking away from me but by her stance I could tell she had a self-deprecating smile on her face. "We've already come this far. There's no point in hiding anything at this stage. Follow me."

Even though I know why Ryu was here, I keep silent about it. I didn't want her to think I have been prying into her privet life or that I know some of her secrets. At least not yet anyway, even though I had already told her I knew about some of her past.

It was obvious Ryu had been here many times before. She knew the path she was taking by heart, in more than one way.

"This is…"

At the end of a tunnel in the trees was a small clearing with what looked like a small grave yard.

"Mama Mia occasionally gives me time to bring them some flowers." Ryu stated as she went to each grave marker and placed a flower in front of them.

She reached under her cloak to a small pouch and withdrew a bottle - she poured a little bit of wine onto each of the graves.

"This is all that remains of the women who fought by my side. My Familia." She quietly said as she turned to look at me.

"Another with knowledge of my past has emerged. It's only a matter of time before you find out… I would regret not telling you myself."

She said it's a bit selfish of her but asked for my permission.

"Yes."

"My name appears on the Guild's blacklist. My position as an adventurer has been revoked. There was a time that a bounty was placed on my head. I once belonged to Astraea Familia… She is the goddess of justice and order, and I idolized her from the day we met."

Ryu Lyon, also known as, 'Gale Wind'.

"Apart from activities in the Dungeon, my Familia took it upon itself to eliminate those who tried to rob Orario of peace. For that reason, we made many enemies."

She explained that as recently as five years ago, Orario was inundated with an "evil" that threatened the city.

Swearing upon Astraea's crest, a winged sword and justice, Ryu and her allies fought to purge the city of that cancerous presence and protect those vulnerable to it."

Then one day an enemy Familia took up arms against the Astraea Familia and set a trap in the dungeon for them. Ryu was the only survivor. Unable to retrieve her friend's bodies she collected what articles she could and buried them in floor eighteen, because the women were fond of this location. And they always joked that they wanted to be buried here.

After that Ryu went to Astraea and begged her to leave the city. Eventually Astraea did leave. Ryu went on a killing spree, murdering anyone that belonged to the enemy Familia no matter their rank or level. She even went after people that were associated with that Familia.

Once everyone she could find was dead, Ryu collapsed in an ally where Syr found her and begged Mia to let Ryu work at The Benevolent Mistress. Where Ryu now works as a waitress.

"I'm sorry for soiling your ears." Ryu told me.

"You didn't."

"In short the elf you see before you is a shameless, violent criminal, I have betrayed your trust, lord Eilwyn." Ryu looked at me with a calm expression, even though she's confessing her crimes to me.

"Ryu, stop putting yourself down and regarding yourself as inferior. If you don't, I'll be very angry with you."

Ryu's eyes opened a little wider and her lips softened a little bit.

"As I told you right before I gave you Melita. I know some of your past exploits. Where I come from, they have something called 'temporary insanity'. That happens when something drastic, happens to a person and because of those circumstances they go wild. Those circumstances push that person over the edge and to a point that they can't fully control themselves and their actions. All that means is, if I thought you were someone I could not trust, I never would have given you Malita. You are worthy of both Melita's and my trust."

Ryu looked at me with a curious look on her face.

"And I also know why you came to Orario. That is another reason I gave Melita to you. With her shapeshifting ability, you can now change what you look like. In doing that, you can leave your past behind you. That is why I suggested you chose a chienthrope as your alternate identity." I told Ryu.

Ryu looked off into space for a few moments then she looked back at me. "It is difficult to leave the past behind. Even though I left my homeland because of the attitude of the elves, nose high in the air with pride. I still hold fast to those same attitudes myself. I still don't allow anyone to touch me." She told me.

"However." Ryu reached out and took my hand in hers. "Just like this, there was someone who took hold of my hand, who I could touch."

"The day when you gave Melita to me. I was very surprised. Surprised that I didn't immediately throw the human who had suddenly grabbed my hand onto the floor of the tavern." Her face took on an expression I had never seen before on Ryu: a mischievous grin.

"You are the third person who I did not immediately punish for touching my skin… I have been watching your actions closely since you gave me Melita. I've come to understand your strengths, your sincerity, and most of all your spirit."

"Lord Eilwyn, you are kind. And you are a human worthy of my respect." Ryu, smiled.

We stood there by the graves of Ryu's friends. Ryu holding my hand. I don't know if we stood there for a few seconds, a few hours or a few days. Time seemed to stand still.

I have immunity to any mental control, including charm. But Ryu's smile almost surpassed that immunity.

I finally broke the silence. "I am honored to be held in such high regard by you, Ryu."

Ryu stood, still holding my hand with a gorgeous smile on her lips.

"I would still like for you to join my Team back at camp. And while you are there, we can come up with your second human or demi-human form." I offered.

Melita walked up to us and looked at Ryu. "It is a reasonable offer." She told Ryu.

Ryu looked at the ground as she nodded her head in agreement. "I will need to get my things first."

"I'll give you a hand." I told Ryu as I looked down at where she was still holding my hand.

"Yes…" Ryu said and released my hand with a blush on her cheeks.

Ryu led me to her camp site, where we proceeded to brake camp. I put everything into my closet PD so it would be easier to carry everything back to the Loki Familia camp site.

Back at the Loki Familia Camp site, I created another yurt for Ryu. I retrieved all of her gear from my closet PD, and I also created a couple chairs for us to sit on so it would be easier for us to talk.

Ryu and I spent the next hour taking and discussing what Melita's and Ryu's alternat humanoid forms should look like. Melita's Chienthrope form is 5' 2" tall, athletic, light brown hair and her ears and tail are the same color as her hair. Ryu went along with my idea of her second humanoid form being a chienthrope as well. Ryu's chienthrope form is 5' 5" tall, the same as her normal height, with medium dark brown hair, ears and tail and yellow/gold-colored eyes. Her face is close to her original face with only minor differences. Like a light dusting of freckles on her cheeks, under her eyes and across her nose.

After Ryu had agreed on both Melita and her new forms. "I know Mama Mia would not like it, but I would love to see Melita and you in your chienthrope forms chasing Chloe and Anya around the tavern." I told Ryu and laughed.

"Mama Mia would lecture me for an hour if we did that." Ryu replied although the ends of her mouth twitched up into a small grin.

As I stood up to leave. I turned back to Ryu with an idea. "If I gave all the waitresses at the Benevolent Mistress their own Companions with shapeshifting. I wonder if Mia would allow the Companions to work. That way y'all could take one or two days off a week and still have plenty of waitresses to work the tavern." I suggested.

"You mean Melita would work in my place?"

I shook my head no. "No, I mean if, say, Anya has a day off, then Melita could take Anya's place. It would work the same for all the girls, so if you wanted a day off, one of the other girl's Companion would work in your place. That way y'all could have a set day or two set days off and Mia would still have enough waitresses to work the Tavern."

"And if a situation like this happens again. One of the other girl's Companion could cover for you while you're in the Dungeon." I suggested. "When any of the Companion's work, they should get paid of course. So, there would be more money in your pocket as well."

Ryu looked thoughtful.

The next day we started breaking camp. Which is easy for us because all I had to do was dissolve all of the items, I had created for us to use.

Ais would be going with the first group with part of the Loki Familia and Hephaistos Familia. We, my Team and I, Hestia and Bell, Welf and Lili would be leaving with the second group with the rest of the Loki and Hephaistos Familia's.

Ouka came running into camp. "Something's wrong! I just saw Bell running along that way.!" Ouka told us while pointing in the direction he had seen Bell running.

Kimmy, Cindy and Iris looked at me. I nodded my head. "Help be a distraction. Rosni, stay with Cindy, because things are going to get rough, in a few minutes." I told Rosni and my Team.

[Go after the monsters and stay away from the Black Goliath.] I sent to Cindy, Kimmy and Iris.

"Let's go!" Iris said and headed out.

I nodded my head to the other girls. Letting them know they were free to head out. Then I started running to the bluff above where Bell and Mord would be fighting. I cast invisibility on myself as I took to the air. I didn't want Hermes and Asfi to see me when I first arrived.

As I arrived, I heard Hermes talking. "I'd rather call it tough love. Bell doesn't know the dark side of life. He needs to learn how bad, people can be." Hermes told Asfi.

I dropped the invisibility. "What you refuse to accept, Hermes, is that Bell does know about the dark side of life." I said.

Hermes and Asfi jumped and turned to look at who was talking. "W-what!?" Hermes said.

Asfi started to pull out a weapon, but when she saw who it was, she relaxed her stance.

"Bell has seen the dark side of life." I repeated. "But unlike you, Hermes, Bell does not dwell on the evil of the world. Bell lost his parents, then he lost the person he believes was his grandfather. Then he felt rejection after rejection before Hestia took him in. Bell fought a Silverback with only a knife. He faced his own fears and killed a Minotaur on his own when he was only level one. Bell had someone he trusted steal from him over and over again. Then that same person came close to getting him killed. Refusing to live in the dark or evil side of life he was willing to see the good in people. He saved the life of the person that put him in danger because he had seen himself in that person's eyes. He saw his own loneliness, his own despair and his own pain. And instead of walking away from that person, he helped them. The very same person that put him in danger, Bell helped. And today that same person that had put Bell in danger is his best friend and loyal supporter. She would do literally anything for Bell, because Bell refuses to live in the dark and evil side of life like you do, Hermes. And those are only a small part of the dark side of humanity he has seen." I explained to someone that should have known all of that.

Asfi looked at me with shock on her face. "All that happened to Bell Cranel?" She asked.

I nodded my head in agreement. "Yes, it did, and Hermes should have known that. But sadly, even some of the 'gods' that don't treat humans as playthings don't understand how human's think and feel." I told her.

Bell was starting to block Mord's attacks. Hermes looked on in surprise.

I looked at Hermes. "Now to punish Hermes for his stupidity and vile actions against an innocent person." I said grinning evilly.

"It's not your…" Hermes started.

"Isolation!" I said.

Hermes fell over onto the ground.

"What happened to lord Hermes!?" Asfi asked in shock at seeing Hermes fall over and not move.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" I laughed. "I said he was going to be punished. Now he gets to see what the dark side of life really is. He's getting to see only himself for a short time." I told Asfi.

"What do you mean he's seeing only himself!?"

"I locked Hermes in his own head. He can see nothing, hear nothing and feel nothing. I locked him in his own mind. If he's as smart as he thinks he is, he'll learn something about himself. But sadly, I don't think that will happen." I told Asfi.

"Release Hermes!" Asfi yelled at me.

"He'll be released in under a minute. I set his Isolation so it will stop after one minute." I explained.

"How can you do that to a god!?" Asfi asked me.

"He might be a 'god' to you, but that does not mean he's a 'god' to me."

"No, I mean how are you able to do something like that to one of the gods?"

I grinned. "If I told you that, you would tall Hermes later on, and Hermes does not need to know the answer to that question." I replied.

I took a step closer to Asfi so I was only eighteen inches from her. "I can either be a very good friend. Or I can be your worst nightmare. It is totally up to you and Hermes." I informed Asfi.

As I said 'I could be your worst nightmare.' I released a little of my dragon aura. Asfi took a step back from me and I could see her shaking. Then I dropped the dragon aura.

Hermes jerked then sat up. He looked around with shock and fear on his face. "W-what ha-happened!?" Hermes exclaimed.

"That was your punishment for interfering. Your minor interferences are fine. But you need to learn to stay out of people's lives. Just imagine what it would be like to live the rest of your life locked in your own head." I told Hermes and started to walk away. I turned back after a couple steps. "And don't think of getting even or taking revenge because you would not want to be on the receiving end of my anger. Oh, you might want to remind Bell what a hero is." I told Hermes, then I turned back around and headed off to help fight the monsters, because the Black Goliath had just spawned and fallen to the ground.

Because Hestia had shown her divine wrath to save Bell from Mord, the dungeon retaliated. The Dungeon released the floor boss which is a Black Goliath as well as blocking all of the exits to the floor so no one could leave. Almost everyone was fighting the monsters that the Black Goliath had called, while the higher-level adventurers fought the Black Goliath. My Team helped fight the monsters that the Black Goliath kept calling. In the end Bell Cranel killed the Black Goliath by using his Argonaut skill and a sword made from a drop item that Lili had found in Rivira and given him.

Iris and I used our Geomancy or Earth Bending to clear the rocks and soil form the exits from the eighteenth floor, so those that wanted to go back to the surface could and those that wanted to go on down to the nineteenth floor or deeper would be able to.

True to her word, Rosni fought some of the Minotaur on the way out of the Dungeon. Iris did back up Rosni. Fighting her first Minotaur Rosni did need some help from Iris, but it looked like it was more from Rosni being nervous of fighting the monster on her own. After Rosni killed the first Minotaur, she was able to kill the next two with only a small amount of help from Iris. With Iris only needing to distract the Minotaur a little.
