I have a good amount of cameras but my favorite that I own is my Canon EOS Rebel sl1. I got that one from a friend in high school (2017) and it has always been my goto camera.

This is my list of cameras I own and my observations of each one. It could be different for others, my favorite could be someone's least favorite. Just gotta find what fits for you.

Canon EOS Rebel sl1 — Amazing for concert photography, really good in low light settings. It's also touch screen so that's nice. I think this is a really good first camera. It's simple and easy to learn from. A lot of times I'm happy with the product that I don't do much editing after (unless I'm going for something specific). Highly recommend this one.

Canon ESO Rebel T6 — More bulky than the sl1, it's the "upgrade" but I still prefer the sl1. Haven't used it much, it's still "new" to me (bought it off a friend). It's not bad, it's gives off good quality.

Canon G7X Zoom Lens — This one is a little hand camera, not a detachable lens. It's good for videos like for vlogs or other small stuff, not like video production. The screen flips up so it's just perfect for videoing yourself. Horrible pictures though at least when it comes to concerts. It's probably fine for pictures with friends and shit.

Sony RX100 // ZEISS Vario-Sonnar — This also a little hand camera zoom lens. This one was my favorite to bring to concerts when I couldn't have professional/detachable lens cameras. For being a little guy it took some really good photos. I asked in a photography group what the best hand camera was and they said this one. Which is heartbreaking guy it's broken 😭 the zoom lens started not wanting to open. So I'm on the look out for another one or something similar cause it really was a good one.

Sony Alpha 6000 // APS-C 24.3 megapixel — This is is poor in low lighting so concert photography isn't the best, but for portraits and anything outdoors, absolutely beautiful. Its shutter speed is so fast. With this one I love having my models spin or do any type of motion. I could only assume it's great for sports too.

Nikon D7000 — This is my big boy, the bulky one. Mainly just bring it for show cause the others are so small and this one looks the most professional... but I hate it 🫣 I don't know if it's got something wrong with it but it just doesn't bring a sharp imagine. I don't ever use it. I try every once in a while with different things but it just is a poor quality camera. Again, it could just be something messed up with it and all it needs is fixed. Cause I use to use it a lot when working with a photographer it was his camera and I got it as a gift) I don't remember it ever being an issue.

So I'm really not sure on that one…

So, the short answer is, no, It doesn’t really work for video.

Let’s start by going over this camera’s features and limitations.

As far as the body goes you have nice sturdy build, with a very ergonomic design.

The camera itself feels well built, and the buttons are somewhat intuitively placed.

I say somewhat because, while most of them make sense, there just isn’t anywhere near enough of them.

There are no customizable function buttons, and, with out a touch screen display changing settings takes way longer then it should.

To shoot video you have to switch to video mode.

And, to change any settings in video mode you have to go to the menu and enable manual exposure for video.

Another thing I really wish cannon had added was a touch screen LCD, but canon need ways to make people by the Ti series cameras.

This brings me to the biggest reason the T6 isn’t ideal for video.

It doesn’t have mic jack.

Now I know cannon’s dslr’s don’t have that good of preamps anyway but external mics make your audio so much better.

I have a love hate relationship with Cannon’s 18-55mm kit lens, it has great internal stabilization,

so you shoot handheld a lot easier, but, it’s pretty soft and focusing with it is extremely difficult.

speaking of focus the T6’s auto focus is as expected not great, its loud and swims around a lot.

However, this doesn’t really concern me because I rarely use auto focus, and you really cant get good auto focus anyway without spending more than twice the T6’s original cost.

Rolling shutter is about what you’d expect, nothing horrendous, but defiantly not the best I’ve seen.

In terms of picture profiles your best option is neutral, its semi flat, and does preserve probably another half a stop of dynamic range.

Its probably good that’s its not to flat anyway however because the T6 shoots at a max of 28 megabytes a second, so there’s not that much you can do when grading the image before it breaks.

Even my GoPro has a higher bit rate; of about 70. However, 28 megabytes it normal for almost canon dslrs under 1,000 dollars so it isn’t a downside specifically to the T6.

And if you’re not grading it heavily it holds up quite well.

So, as you can see the video quality is actually decently usable.

With enough patience when shooting and editing you can total pull usable video out of this camera, but there are some limitations.

Mainly its lack of any usable slow-motion, I mean come on cannon at least put 60 fps in hd.

If you want to shoot semi slow motion 60fps you have to go down to 720p which at least in my opinion looks really soft.

Low, light in this camera Is also pretty bad, it’s not the worst but its defiantly not clean or bright.

Yesterday when I was out with my daughter to walk in the snowfall and soak up all the winter, snow and cold in Vancouver downtown we could. And yes! off course to take some pictures, to make some videos and then I realized  my phone is switching off often and I thought damn what's the problem in my phone and as soon as I came back I googled why it happened and I got to know that "This is not a flaw with Apple products. This happens with any lithium-ion battery-powered device. Apple designed the iPhone to turn off under extreme conditions, such as very cold or very hot weather. This actually helps protect your iPhone from malfunctioning as a result of low voltage from the battery. Apple recommends that you only use your iPhone (and other iOS devices) when the temperature is between 32-95 degrees Fahrenheit to avoid temperature-related issues." Alright, Folks so it has been more than 30 days when had brought this new family member iPhone XS in our lives for the first time. So our baby iPhone XS is Silver in color and 256GB phone and came with earpods with a lightning connector, Lightning to USB cable and USB power adapter.

  Some basic features which I absolutely love are

1. Face Id: That means your phone recognizes your face to unlock, authorize Apple Pay payments, and perform other tasks.

2. Control Center: Swipe down from the upper right corner to quickly take a photo, turn on room lights, control music, Portrait orientation lock, WiFi, mobile data, torch and more.

3. Home: Swipe up to go home.

4. The left side of the body has 2 buttons and 1 Switch. Top Ring/Silent Switch to choose either of it. 2 buttons to adjust audio volume.

5. Tap to Wake: You can tap anywhere on the screen to wake your iPhone.

6. 3D Touch: You can access menus, shortcuts, and content by pressing the screen with 3D touch

7. The right side of the body has 1 button which has 3 functions. A) press once to sleep or wake. B) Press twice to activate Apple Pay. C) Press and hold to turn on iPhone or activate Siri.

8. In Emergency: Press and hold the side button and either of the volume button to turn off the iPhone or make an Emergency call.

Trust me or not most of us when we see specification or just go through any new mobile phone we check camera quality first. At least I do it. But Why I am obsessed with the iPhone XS camera? here are the reasons

The cameras are better, especially in low light, and the new Depth Control for portraits works really really well as well.

Slow Motion video quality though Oh my goodness you can take screenshots from slow-motion video and edit it a little bit and trust me you will have some really good captures ever.                              

Portrait mode though, my goodness iPhone XS has nailed in this quality. It is great in close-up photos and especially I love how it takes photos with real good espouser and the way it captures yellow in the back wahoo I love it.

It definitely delivers more detail of the picture.                                                                                                                                                                         

Speaker and Microphone

Sound Sound Sound… Okay, when you will turn the audio ON in iPhone you will definitely avoid connecting it to earpods or any other Bluetooth speakers because they are surprisingly very amazing. Audio in iPhone XS is sweeter stereo, Apple says it widened the stereo sound to deliver more detail. Yes! you are going to love it too.

You won't believe I am loving this audio quality of my YouTube videos to the extent that I am wondering whether I will switch to my canon rebel t6 again or not. Let's have a comparison in sound quality of SAMSUNG galaxy and iPhone XS. Cum on the galaxy is a high-end smartphone and we expect something really similar. so let's see.

Battery Life

If you know me a little bit from YouTube or Social Media I am not a big fan of spending hours and hours behind the phone and playing games. Trust me I use to when I was not a mom. So if you are a person who for any reason does not spend HOURS on phone you will be very with battery life too. For me I charge once in every 24 hours, mostly I put it in charge when I go to bed every night. 100% battery charging lasts for more than 24 hrs. for me, I am not joking.

Conclusion 

So in the bottom line, I would say the iPhone XS is one of the Best phone and deal in the price range it is coming for sure. If you are the among those people who are either thinking of purchasing iPhone for the first time in the life "Just like I did" or still holding off on upgrading your iPhone 7 or iPhone 6s, do not think twice for spending on iPhone XS. Also, the cameras are miles better especially in low light.

In between iPhone XS and iPhone XS MAX, I would definitely recommend MAX because of screen size which is 6.5 inches if you can afford and hold in one hand obviously. But for me, I preferred the iPhone XS because I wanted a one-handed friendly one.
