Writing dialogue for two characters using the list of 1920s slang I found.

Characters: Irene Jackalope, 1,964 y/o Immortal, 7'0 tall woman

Micheal Harlow, 205 y/o Vampire, 6'1 and full of Italian spunk

Tri'kek, over 2,000 years old

Kai, like 21 y/o lesbian siren

Jaidyn, a 23 y/o pansexual archivist

Background:

They met in 1907 in a speakeasy in NY. Since then they have been inseparable friends, with a slow burn that's lasted for the past 117 years. And it's so damned obvious to anyone around them, but neither have ever approached it.

As for Professor Pisces, she's basically the same. I could make her a mermaid, but I feel like keeping her as a regular fish that's just sapient would be funnier. Besides, she know has an entire section of the school she can swim around in freely~! Yeah, I'll be getting to that eventually.

Finally, I've gotten this list all done and typed! Not lying, this took me literal days to finish since I couldn't think of monsters for some girls and kept switching species around! Luckily, the people I've asked say this list is good, which at least gives me some hope that I made the right choices for these characters. I'm not gonna lie, I can't wait to make spec evo bios for these girls and go into the culture and worldbuilding for monster/non-human societies~! And I'm gonna remake my old Bios now that there are more characters and I have some new abilities for them~! But for now, hold on tight, because this AU Revamp is just getting started!

A soft flutter of wings came from near Irene — a small moth, translucent and glowing a faint blue-green. It landed on a stuffed jackalope for a few seconds, as though waiting to catch the woman’s attention, then flitted away down the hall. It vanished around a corner. As best I can tell, the worst of the storm isn’t going to reach me until the evening. I’ll likely be in bed by then.

So, playing a little with this “We’re all gonna die! The world is over!” theme about this (rapidly diminishing) hurricane, I made a final trip over to dad’s to fill up my empty water jugs and brought some canned tuna with me.

He told me Marcie has been craving tuna but the stores were all out. I LOVE tuna, so I always have a stockpile of it. So I joked that I would barter for some water in exchange for some of my tuna.

We all had a good laugh over it, watched the weather channel for a moment, and then they gave me some buttered biscuits (NOT cookies, little puff pastries) as part of our barter. LMAO

We’re both prepared for a disaster and expect to sleep through the entire thing. The Jackalope and Marcie’s little pups are the only ones with any stress. The shepherds are all ignoring the shelter set up for them and running around playing in the rain. (They’ll be put up before the storm comes)
