Going through fandom discourse, I've learned I had to dig into the dirt to find gold. The dopamine my brain produced after discovering something mind-blowing made all the struggle worth it.

Tim has found his soulmate (not a soulmate AU, just in the like “i think we’re totally meant to be together” way). Well, okay, it’s entirely one-sided so far, but he’s sure SpecterNova will reciprocate once they’re in proper contact.

He’s already found everything he publicly can on the youtuber, but he’s still digging deeper. It’s weirdly difficult—his love must like his privacy!—but he’s making headway.

On the other end, Danny is getting nervous about the dedication of his new internet stalker. Even with Tucker’s help in setting up his online security and the scrambling effects of ectoplasm, they can tell that the person is still making progress. They don’t seem like they’re a part of the GIW, but that doesn’t mean their search can’t harm him in some other way.

He really hopes he doesn’t have to change identities again. Having to do it the first time to flee the GIW was bad enough, and he’s been liking his current life.

Bless that trophy wife anon because they’re right. There’s no way mindscape citizens see whatever dipper does in the real world as a real career and he has no job in bill’s realm either, whether he likes it or not he’s entwined with bill’s world and his people and he can’t blame them for thinking his job is being bill’s husband.

That’s what pisses him off, the fact that they’re right.

No matter how Dipper protests that yes, he DOES have a job, the beings in the Fearamid don't believe it's 'real', or worse - humor him, then give Knowing Looks to the other demons in the room.

Seeing a few posts going around about what Scar said re: forcing himself not to team with Grian because of mean commenters saying it's boring, and, honestly I think it's really quite unhelpful to make posts that are like "wow guys we should all feel bad... time to do better as a fandom, this is why we can't have nice things". Because it's obvious that he wasn't talking about the Tumblr fandom there. Right? We know this, yes?

And tbh I feel like those posts are just made to make op feel all high and mighty about calling the fandom out. It feels like the canary curse Lizzie stuff from last season, where people seemed to just really want to stomp on people's fun.

Those posts are making me actively less excited about this season, much more than Scar and Pearls posts did. Like, one thing I love about life series is the fandom engagement here on Tumblr, but spreading around a bunch of "you should feel bad for something you didn't even do" posts just harshes the vibe.

Take those posts to somewhere like Reddit or YouTube where the people guilty of bad behaviour will actually see it. Jeez.
