Letha would walk around the new area she seemed to have stumbled into, looking around as she takes in the surroundings not really paying attention to what is in front of her. She carries a pack seemingly full of stuff as well.

Artemis sat in her garden, seemingly looking for something that tried to cover her face. Sure, she had her prosthetic… but it wasn’t good enough. She still hadn’t noticed the… new figure in the garden.

Laying in his bed, the broken clock ticks away, the house empty with no one, but him, and another bedroom that isn't even finished. Pancake was... On fire.. in pain... His life hurts, his mind steaming.. His body burning. He can't sleep, he can't cool down, he can't relax, all he can do is lay there on his single bed. Waiting and waiting, until he closes his eyes. To darkness... But when he opens his eyes again, it was still black... Then a small light glows. Pancake looks around him, he's not in bed anymore. He lifts himself up, and starts walking.. and walking... Until a house he never seen before comes to view... The lights are on.. Nothing is moving through it.. He keeps on walking until the front door. He knocks... The door opens, he walks in... He sees someone or something sitting on a lone chair, in the middle of the room. Pancake knows who this is, but... He has to ask...

The prophet responds, currently in the corpse of Akane in order for Pancake to see the other. The corpse was bloodied, missing an arm, it looked like it had gotten stabbed with something that seemed like a trident.

The prophet would ‘pat’ Pancake’s back, but it would only feel like a gust of wind due to that this wasn’t… real. It was a figment.

“She will.”

The prophet would appear next to Pancake in the car, still in Artemis’ former body as their vessel. It seemed to only be a figment of his imagination, as the corpse seemed to have been transparent.

“…I sense your child will be back in… a week or so..?”

Pancake's mind has cooled off. He's been driving in a huge cycle around Art's garden. He can think for once... "I hope.. she comes back.. in one piece..." Then he drives back home... Defeated for some reason.. what was his goal..

You seem like you're more familiar with the broader occult community than my scholarly shut in ass. I'm curious. If there were a few lessons you wish you could drill into the head of every prominent social media occultist, what would they be?

Ohhh the number one thing I wish I could drill into the head of every aspiring occultist and magical practitioner is that CRITICAL THINKING IS YOUR FRIEND.

Study magic but keep fact-checking! If there's a claim in a book on witchcraft that should be able to be backed up by mundane sources, look for those sources. If they're not cited in the book, that's a red flag. If the sources you do find don't support the claim, that's another, bigger red flag. This is especially true with claims about history, science, medicine, psychology, anthropology, and religion.

Also, be wary of anything New Age. There's a pipeline to anti-science, eugenics, and racism there that runs directly through portions of the modern pagan and witchcraft communities and it's brightly painted with New Age buzzwords.

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. If something seems geared to appeal to your emotions, especially that which seems formulated to make you feel special or "chosen" or to fire up some kind of righteous anger or feelings of superiority, you should immediately be suspicious of it.

If a source tells you to disregard science, modern medicine, or recorded history, or tries to tell you that some people are inherently more special or magical or deserving of power than others, discard it immediately. That is a bad source.

Don't believe everything you see or hear online. Too many witches roll their eyes at their parents and grandparents believing everything they read on Facebook, then turn around and insist that everything they've seen on TikTok or Tumblr or YouTube is Absolute Truth.

Believing in and studying magic does not mean that common sense goes out the window. You should be supplementing your magical studies with parallel practical topics (i.e. botany, geology, chemistry, mythology, etc) and ALWAYS keep one foot squarely planted on the ground.

Nora walks through the garden, Christmas gifts in hand as she avoids the thrashing tendrils, looking for Artemis. She would be concerned about all the eyes in the sky, if she wasn't so tired. She barely got any sleep, working on everyone's presents, and she felt like she would collapse right then and there. She hoped to find Arte soon..

Artemis noticed Nora almost instantly, teleporting her up to where she was. She had a small bunny on her lap, seemingly a gift from her husband.

She simply asked, looking over at the ball of light that seemed to have been the prophet, and then looking at the corpse. Her. Corpse.

It was disgusting, a cruel way of torture.

The prophet, a small ball of light as they weren't in their vessel, looked down at Artemis.

"You know why, my dear."

The prophet simply stated, before using their 'fingertip,' which was really just wind, to lift up Artemis' chin.

How many orbs have you pondered in the past and was any of them made of Dragongem? It's like soulgem but more powerful and also dragons.

i have pondered a great many orbs in my time, but un-fortunately i have never had the chance to ponder one made of dragongem. it has always been a great dream of mine, ever since my child-hood - which was quite long-ago.
