I don’t think high fives would work with Inosuke.

If you ask this boar boy to high five you he’s gonna think it’s a challenge of “who can the hit the others hand harder” 🤩 You’re gonna end up with a broken hand at least.

Lets not even mention if you try to play one of those hand clapping games with him, like concentration for eg. Inosuke is gonna assume how hard you hit the other players’ hand is part of the game. (My father did this 😵‍💫)

- if you want a boy that will genuinely listen to you and how you feel about certain things, get a tanjiro.

- he deserves sm love and he’d definitely put you in his top priorities while also making sure you weren’t getting hurt in the process !!

- he’s a big fan of physical touch, so if you’re also training to be a hashira don’t be surprised when everytime he passes you he brushes his hand up against yours. (HES SO CUTE IMA EAT HIM)

- WILL defend you.

- like if someone’s talking bad about you he’s walking right up to them with no fear

- of course, he isn’t aggressive so he would handle the situation calmly

- “why are you saying that about [name]-sama? did they do something to you?”

- will purposely choose you each time they get to pick who they want to train with, and will get a little jelly if u don’t pick him

- but it’s fine !! as long as he sees you happy he’s happy.

- like, if you’re sad he’d get you 3 bouquets of roses and the other 3 would be outside because he couldn’t carry them all

- “zenitsuu!! you didn’t have to do that!!”

- but omg does this boy needs words of affirmation

Kamaboko Squad Yandere Headcanons

A/N: Reposting this from my Wattpad book because I don't have any ideas for anything new 🤩

Warnings: Nezuko is platonic, mentions of kidnapping, mild language, and of course, yandere themes

Tanjiro: ➼ If he's the one who loves you as a yandere, you wouldn't even have to lay a finger if you don't want to.

➼ He's the kind who would definitely spoil you. Want some chocolate? You're getting your favorite kind of chocolates, homemade. Too tired to clean up after a long day? He'll help you bathe. He's super respectful, his eyes never wandering to where they don't belong, making you always feel safe within his company. He's definitely househusband material.

➼ He absolutely loves it when he's in both you and Nezuko's company. He adores the fact that you love his sister (probably even more than you love him, but he doesn't need to know that). You being Nezuko's sister-in-law would be his ultimate dream.

➼ He hates the fact that you're also a demon slayer. After almost losing his entire family, his biggest nightmare would be losing you or Nezuko. If he could, he would resign you from the corps immediately.

➼ Tanjiro is more of a protective yandere. Red flag? If you're talking to anyone he doesn't fully trust, you bet your butt he's lurking in the shadows watching you interact with them. If he gets too concerned for your safety, there's a very small chance that he'll kidnap you (it needs to be a very serious concern if he does that). However, he would make sure you'll be comfortable in your room where you're kidnapped, even if you're tied by chains. 

➼ He can't imagine himself being with anyone else. You're his and only his, and he's going to make you see that too. No matter what it takes.

Zenitsu: ➼ Oh god. He would be a handful to deal with.

➼ Hearing "Marry me!!!" would be a common occurrence for you to deal with every day. Your mans would do anything to please you. If you asked him to, he would probably climb Mount. Everest for you. Around you, he would almost always be blushing and giving you compliments. He would make sure you hear that he loves you every single day, which annoys others to no limits.

➼ Zenitsu would do anything to get alone time with you, which rarely happens as he's always surrounded by Inosuke and Tanjiro. When he does get alone time with you though, he would be over the moon. He likes to make you sweets sometimes when he's free, as he's surprisingly good at baking.                              

➼ He thinks absolutely about you is perfect. Fighting demons? You look so awesome. Drinking water? You're pretty as hell. Talking? His full attention is on your pretty face. Showering? He thinks your body looks- erm, never mind. 

➼ The only thing he dislikes regarding you is how Tanjiro and Inosuke are always around you. If they aren't, you're around Nezuko. Sure, he loves them too, but he loves you the most. Probably more than anything in the entire world.

➼ He would be more of a delusional yandere. Red flag? He gets jealous very often. Really often. If he thinks you're not giving enough attention to him, he'll probably go sulk somewhere till you grow worried and come to find him. Or maybe he'll try to make you jealous instead, by clinging to someone else, probably Nezuko (earning bonus glares by Tanjiro).

➼ In his mind, both of you are meant to be with each other. Maybe he's too scared to actually make a move on you for now, but he'll do it. Eventually. 

Inosuke: ➼ The only thing I can say is, SAYONARA.

➼ God, it would take him decades to realize his feelings for you. He often mistakes his feelings for competitiveness, so he would demand fights from you at least twice a day at minimum. He gets very reckless with you during fights to calm down his energy from simply seeing you. He would act the same around you as he does with Tanjiro and Zenitsu, but still somewhat calmer and more protectively.

➼ He's happy as long as he's around you, although he would never admit it. You taught him to read and write basic Japanese, so he even writes you letters when you're away on solo missions in distant places, although they usually look like "If you get injured by those bastard demons, I'll kill you." Yeah, Zenitsu taught him to write swear words.

➼ He craves physical touch, whether it's romantic or in a fight. He doesn't care as long as his skin is in contact with yours. It could be simply holding hands, but knowing that you're with him at the moment is very comforting for him. You probably don't mind holding hands with him either.

➼ He hates how you could be reckless and jump in to save someone if needed. Sure, he's even more reckless, but he can't understand why you would risk yourself in order to protect a random stranger. He would much rather sacrifice himself over you.

➼ In a fight, you both are a very good duo. Your abilities are very similar (the only thing is that Inosuke can't detect auras, but he's much better at things like spatial awareness), and his recklessness is often balanced by your strategic approach to battles. However, whenever you tell him strategies to continue a fight, he wouldn't listen nine out of ten times. But when he does get too injured to continue fighting Inosuke style, he puts your strategies into practice.

➼ He's a total possessive yandere. Red flag? He doesn't know how to express his feelings very well. Even if he wants to do something as wholesome as hugging, he's gonna ask for it in a very aggressive way like "OI (Y/N), HUG ME OR ELSE 🔪". Red flag #2? His possessiveness can get out of control. He dislikes it whenever you make independent decisions and/or tell him to do something. He wants you to be fully dependent on him.

➼ If it were up to him, he would kidnap you and never let you out of his sight. You were his, no matter what.

Nezuko:  ➼ She absolutely adores you, just as much as she adores Tanjiro. She could never choose between the two of you, though. To her, you're both irreplaceable. 

➼ Nezuko. Absolutely. Loves. Cuddles. She wouldn't be able to function normally if she didn't get her daily dose of cuddles and head pats. She hates how she's unable to talk to you normally because of her muzzle. If she could talk normally though, she would spend the entire day chatting with you. Not a single moment of boredom would exist.

➼ She can easily understand you most of the time, and you can understand her too eight out of ten times. In her perfect version of life, Tanjiro and you would be married and all three of you would live in the same home (maybe even along with Urokodaki). She tends to see the three of you and Urokodaki as a family.

➼ Like Tanjiro, she hates the fact that you have to put yourself in danger along with Tanjiro. What if something happened to you while she was peacefully sleeping? Just thinking about that makes her extremely paranoid.

➼ A high-pitched "mhm-hmm" means she's happy. If it's a low-pitched one, that means that she is determined to complete the task that she's been assigned. A single quiet "hmm" means that she's sad and/or craving your attention.

➼ She's a clingy yandere. Red flag? It's easy for her to manipulate you into doing something she wants. She's aware of her cuteness and she's not afraid to use it as a weapon. Nevertheless, she would never manipulate you into doing something that she knows would upset you too much.

➼ I would be willing to place my bets that the Kamado siblings are secretly conspiring with each other to make you know that you belong with them, and ONLY them.

Could you do a headcanon on how the kamaboko trio react on a demon slayer like them (and they have the same rank as them since they took the same test as them at the same time) with an angel breathing style? And they're introverted and naturally VERY sweet.

Tanjiro Kamado:

Tanjiro would be immediately drawn to the new slayer's kind and gentle demeanor, sensing a kindred spirit. He would admire their Angel Breathing style, finding it both beautiful and inspiring, and would likely ask them to demonstrate it multiple times. Tanjiro, being empathetic and friendly, would make a conscious effort to ensure they feel comfortable and included despite their introversion. He would offer to train together, understanding that their quiet nature might make it difficult for them to ask for help.

Tanjiro would often check on them, offering support and encouragement, perhaps bringing them small gifts or food to show he cares. He would seek their advice and input during strategy sessions, recognizing the wisdom that often comes with a gentle spirit. Their calm presence would be a source of strength for him, especially during moments of doubt or sorrow.

Zenitsu Agatsuma:

Zenitsu would be in awe of the new slayer's Angel Breathing style, viewing it as something out of a fairy tale. His dramatic personality would contrast sharply with their introversion, leading to many humorous and awkward moments. He might initially be too shy to approach them, fearing he isn’t good enough to be in their presence, but their sweet nature would slowly draw him out of his shell.

Zenitsu would try to impress them with his own skills, albeit clumsily, and might often end up embarrassing himself. However, he would find solace in their gentle reassurances and kind words. Over time, Zenitsu would deeply appreciate their sweet nature and look to them for comfort, particularly during battles. Their serene presence would help calm his nerves, and he would grow protective of them, despite often needing protection himself.

Inosuke Hashibira:

Inosuke's initial reaction would be one of curiosity mixed with confusion. He might challenge the new slayer to a duel to test their strength, only to be bewildered and impressed by the elegance and effectiveness of their Angel Breathing style. His loud and boisterous nature would initially clash with their quiet demeanor, but he would quickly come to respect their abilities.

Despite his rough exterior, Inosuke would grow to appreciate their gentle nature. He might not fully understand their introversion and would often try to drag them into more extroverted activities, but he would fiercely defend them if anyone else questioned their quiet nature. He would also begin to look out for them during missions, making sure they were safe and not overexerting themselve

Inosuke headcanons as random things I've done

Eats the wood off of pencils

(During the Entertainment District Arc) So used to manspreading he accidentally flashed multiple people without realising till days later

Bragged to friends about how grate at climbing he was just to immediately trip and fall down half the trail

Got into a race with someone triped and fell running and broke both his arms trying to catch himself but still brags about it since he won

Decided to follow a waterfall upstream till he fell waist deep into a bog slowly sinking so had to scream for help and the hole time Tengen was making fun of him till he seen Inosuke and released he was about to drown

How to catch (my pookies) inosukes eye

For Inosuke i feel he would prefer a s/o who's a little weaker then him but can still keep up because:

If you were stronger then him, he would constantly ask you to fight him (casually harassing you) then he would get all pissy after you beat him avoid you and the cycle would repeat. Youd probably never get to interact with him outside of him demanding a fight and annoying the shit outta you, you wouldn't ever get to see the soft side of him and prolly wouldn't be able to develop feelings. But he would probably grow to admire you a lot he doesn't know it but he would have a crush on you but he would be to proud to tell you and you can't tell since you barely see him so it wouldn't be reciprocated.

If you were significantly weaker then him, he would get annoyed with you real fast and you wouldn't be "flashy" enough to catch his eye but there is a way! (Will be explained later on) But he does want to be a traditional type man ex providing and protecting. He will pride himself on being your protector.

So being on (almost) the same level is the perfect balance cause you get the best of both worlds because he will admire you a lot for your skills but his ego will also be stroked and fed.

His ideal personality would be.

Playful: He NEEDS someone to do his shenanigans with. An example would be someone who goes along with his king of the mountains gag.

"Underling fetch me some food!"

"Of course my lord!" Bro is blushing under his mask but blames it on the fact that its hotunder his mask.

I am a firm believer that he loves playfighting especially wrestling. You will be rolling around on the floor for HOURS.

Competitive: He LOVES competitions so you better bring that energy back, eating dinner? No. Eating competition. Find a flower on the ground? Now It's a flower finding competition now. He doesn't realize it but he constantly one ups you any chance he gets so if you're not competitive it'll get annoying pretty fast.

Motherly (Stern, caring and kind): We all know he goes CRAZY for any sign of kindness especially compliments. I'm 100% sure he would go for someone who's practically the opposite him it helps balance the chaos. He needs someone to tell him where the boundaries are, someone who will drag him back to a person he insulted and make him apologize but also someone who shows immense care for him, someone who only wants the best for him (its hard for him to see it though)

(A motherly persona is honestly perfect for him because of how stubborn he is)

Adventurous/Fun: Since he fights demons for fun, I feel he would get really bored in his downtime, so keeping him entertained is a must. I feel as though he LIVES for adrenaline so its a bit hard to keep him focused and entertained with simple conversation so you have to take him on little adventures so he doesn't go absolutely nuts and starts wrecking things

Patient: He doesn't understand some of society's customs, so you have to be patient with him and explain slowly. He's impatient as hell so when he doesn't get something first try he'll get mad for a bit so you have to wait for him to cool down before restarting (He actually appreciates this a lot)

Also having something your really good at (hobbies like paintings, sculpting crocheting) and he isn't, at first he'll get pouty but then he'll be determined at becoming better then you. You'll teach him and if its something with his hands like crafting chances are he'll like it and you guys will get to bond.

Brave: This is just another way of saying you gotta be a demon slayer lmaoo. (I honestly can't see him with a civilian)

Good cook: Actually you don't have to be a good cook as long im pretty sure he'd eat anything smash up some bugs and grind them into juice and he'll eat it with a smile

If you like cooking you get extra points because you could give him extra food or teach him how to cook properly.

You have two options for your first meeting

Option 1 (the short one where you are a demon slayer)

He comes in, in the middle of the battle with a demon which you were struggling with and he comes along and anihalites it. You very obviously thank him and he gives you a bandage since your bleeding (He might even apply it depending on how much you're complimenting him)

"Wow! I've never seen anything like your breathing style! Whats it called?!"

"Its called Beast Breathing i made it myself!" He brags

My vision is that you gas him up so much, you somehow become his understudy. Now thud is a DREAM COME TRUE for him because he finally gets an "underling" (its kind of like a tsusuko for the hashira) Now be warned he's the world's worst teacher he explains like this ⬇️

So you won't learn much but the moment you use something he taught you he's over the moon and takes all the credit. (This was more just a cute idea then something that could be developed but whatever 🐗)

Option 2: ( where you're a helper/ nurse at the butterfly mansion)

A couple hours ago your crow had informed you a big battle with a powerful demon was just starting so naturally everyone started preparing. Beds were made, medicine on stand by and everyone waiting by the front door.

"Injured demon slayers approaching!" Your crow cawed. With you at the head all the girls ran outside. A couple Kakushi were running towards the mansion people hung limp on their backs as blood dripped down. Aoi and the others rushed beds with wheels outside, the only person still conscious was a boy with yellow hair, he was bawling.

"We have to go back for Tanjirooo!!" He whined draging out "Tanjiro" like a toddler.

"I'm sure Tanjiro will be fine!" Aoi scolded as she pushed him down onto a bed, she seemed to know who Tanjiro was. "Now rest up." Suma begun wheeling him inside to the infirmary so they could start on treatment.

"What about Inosuke?! He was right behind me, where is he!?" He screamed at you as he was dragged away. "The demon must have got to him!" His tears really started to come down now, it was a good thing he was gone. His cries were quite annoying.

You now started to take notice to something in the distance a Kakushi practically wrestling something to the ground.

"That idiot." Aoi scowled, pinching the bridge of her nose as she sighed heavily. "We're going to be swamped. I need you take care of him." She pointed to the Kakushi and the person struggling? Usually you would be tending to multiple people at once but he seemed like a handful.

"Of course. I'll get him in here as soon as possible." You rushed over, you could see more clearly now a Kakushi was practically dragging a demon slayer to the butterfly mansion. The demon slayer was yelling and trying to squirm free, he wore a boar mask. How odd.

"What seems to be the problem?"

"This idiot-" Before the Kakushi could finish answering your question the demon slayer started yelling at you two.

"Take me back goddammit! Kentaro can't fight it alone!" Wasn't it Tanjiro? No that didn't matter he was extremely hurt and he was failing around, if he continued he'd lose even more blood. It didn't seem possible since he was drenched and caked in blood but whatever.

"Sir you need to relax."

"No!" As the poor Kakushi (+you) desperately tried to drag him into the mansion, he was only losing more and more blood, you made an executive decision to knock him out. A quick blow to the back of the neck and he was out and foaming at the mouth.

Surprisingly the only two people that were conscious were the ones with the worst injuries. Tanjiro came in about 30 minutes after you and the girls stiched everyone up. It seemed that those 3 boys were the ones who had fought the hardest and in consequence had the most injuries a total of 36 different stiches were spilt in between them. They had to have their own individual rooms and the 3 young girls were assigned to them You finally got to bed at 4 am, you were completely exhausted unfortunately you weren't allowed to rest because at 6 Naho, Kiyo and Sumi came bursting in.

"Y/n!" They cried out, you were so tried you hadn't bothered changing to go to bed.

"Yes?" You tiredly called out to them.

"Were sorry for interrupting, but the boar demon slayer is going crazy Aoi-san is out and we need your help." You grumbled before getting up fixing your hair and walking to his room.

The few Kakushi that had stuck around were now forced to hold down the crazy demon slayer. You threw the door open, storming in.

"Whats the issue?" The Kakushi quickly stumbled out the door.

"Where's Kentaro?!" He yelled at you jumping out of bed. Huh no concern for the yellow haired boy.

"Tanjiro is in a different room due to the intensity of his injuries. Now if you want to see him i suggest you get back in bed so you can heal faster."

"No! It's boring." You both went back and forth the good news about arguing was that he was only focusing on winning the argument instead of going to find his friend and tearing his stiches.

"Look, you're bored right? How bout we play a game. I win you go rest and you win..."

"I'll get extra food."

"Yeah, I challemge you to a thumb war hows that sound?"

As you thought he was keen on the idea, by using how weak he was to your advantage you won. He was pissy and demanded you do a best out of 3. You did and you won. It turned into a best out of 5 then 10 but after 20 minutes you worried you were wasting time on trivial matters so you wrapped it up.

"I won, so now you've got to rest up alright?"

When you delivered his food he challenged you to another game, you won.

He was a terrible patient honestly Aoi couldn't get him to take his medicine without shoving it down his thoart, he wouldn't rest, he'd fight anyone and everyone and he was loud as hell.

Aoi and Sumi couldn't deal with him anymore so she passed him down onto you. Getting him to take his medicine was easier you just had to win a simple game. He still gave you the stink eye but it didn't matter.

Time skip to a couple days later.

"Hey I got your breakfast." You layed his tray down on his bedside table.

"How long until I get out of here?"

"In a couple weeks but with you resting so well you're sure to be able to move around freely soon. As soon as you can walk we'll set you up in a new room with your friends." You sat down on the side of his bed laid down the bandages and extended your hand.

"One two three four i declare a thumb war." He won. Dammnit.

"So whats on the menu for tonight?"

"Tempura!" He energetically responded, how were you going to get him to change his bandages now?

"Hey I tell you what if you let me change your bandages ill get you extra food."

"No fair we had a deal!"

"Thats true. So what about we do best out of 3?" He won all 3 times.

"Guess you really are regaining your strength i guess ill have to stop betting for it."

"What no! They're the only fun thing around here!" You now made a new deal, youd spend a certain amount of time playing games with him each day, bring his favourite food and he would let you change his bandages and take his medicine.

Before you knew it Inosuke refused to be treated by anyone else and you were spending most tof your time with him even though he wasn't that injured anymore

Inosuke and Zenitsu; Panic Attacks.

Warning: Description of Panic Attacks, vomit

A/n: How I think they are during panic attacks

Inosuke

He is loud during a panic attack.

Like, a lot louder than usual- full on screaming until his throat hurts

He’s. Never really had a panic attack before, so he doesn’t really know what to do.

So he’s just causing destruction everywhere

Breaking tables, windows, doors, branches, basically anything he can get his hands on

Will also pick fights with other people if he can

May also throw his swords

Everyone except for Tanjiro and Zenitu(bc of their heightened senses) just think this is Inosuke’s usual behavior, so they don’t. Do anything

And Inosuke can’t articulate that this is a different type of anger, so he’s just. There

Zenitsu

Actual screaming and crying

But it’s more

Also mixed in with hyperventilating

# tanjiro ! ☆

TANJIRO is such a sweetheart, he really is. But when it comes to sticking to a schedule, he does not make any shortcut or excuses to what will happen. Whatever the schedule says goes no ifs ands or buts. Thankfully he only uses a morning routine anyways.

He had heard from both Rengoku and Mitsuri that having a morning schedule is very good to prepare you for the day. So tanjiro has one to! He tries to get you to follow the routine along with him but you would rather stay in bed instead..

The moment the sun begins to rise is the time Tanjiro wakes up as well. It’s almost as if his body had a set in clock to wake him up. He already gets himself up before he comes and “pesters” you, who is still sound asleep when he’s ready to start the day. Tanjiro only pokes your cheek trying to get you to wake up.

You only groan turning your body over as you already know what he’s waking you up for. “Tanjiro I don’t even think the sun is up yet..” you mumble putting a pillow over your head. Tanjiro only silently laughs before replying “That doesn’t mean we can’t wake up either, if we don’t go fast we’re going to miss our time to train before leaving!” He only flashes a beaming smile, you wished to see that smile in your dreams right now instead.

# zenitsu ! ☆

If he had to be honest ZENITSU is unironically really clumsy. Sometimes he’s doing it to get a laugh out of you, but other times he’s genuinely falling. He can’t help it! It used to be something that happened every now and then but it’s almost become more of a habit of his now.

Even if everybody knows he really is just clumsy, if your around without fail he’ll try to play it off like it was on purpose. If your around and he’s already mid fall he’s going to try and stick the landing to make it seem like he was being funny and just doing it on purpose. Other times when it’s too late to cover up his mistake he tries to cover it up with a cheesy pick up line.

You’re only sharpening your sword, admiring the peace until it’s disrupted once again. You can hear a very familiar voice chanting your name as the voice only grows closer and closer. You turn around to see zenitsu rushing towards you after turning a corner, and from what you can tell he has a couple of flowers in his hand.

It’s only when he gets closer is when he somehow manages to trip on whatever was in his path. He comes tumbling towards you as you rush to his aid only to see him quickly put a rose in his mouth. He stares at you with a prideful gaze as you bite back a laugh. You can’t hold it in anymore once he screams howling something along the lines of “THE ROSE POKED ME!!”

# inosuke ! ☆

Sleeping around INOSUKE is no fun at all. He normally has a lot of energy so staying up late is a given, if you manage to actually fall asleep before he does your lucky. If he even manages to get tired and get close to a bed you’re doomed.

When inosuke is asleep there is nothing that is going to wake him up except himself. He is stone cold asleep meaning whatever he does do in his asleep is a complete ball game to deal with. It’s obvious that he is going to be uncomfortably loud, but he really handsy and not in the romantic way at all..

You groan on the edge of the bed as the cold air breezes against you, an hour before you were very much comfortable in the bed, alone at least. The moment inosuke toppled into bed was when everything came to an end. He took all the blankets for himself, he sprawled out taking up most of the space, and did this all while asleep already.

Not to mention the fact he was almost louder than when kyojuro when he’s talking whenever he snores. Every other moment the room rattles with how loud he is. To the point where you get so fed up you grab the one pillow you can find and move to sleep on the couch. It was much easier falling asleep on the couch, the only problem is when you woke up you find inosuke still completely asleep on top of you.

# kanao ! ☆

A lot of people don’t realize that KANAO can be unusually blunt. Around you she feels more open to speak her mind about something and without realizing it. Her words can come out much more harsh than she had originally intended it.

When she’s around you she’s much more careful at watching her tongue, as she obviously does not wish to hurt your feelings. Which she is really good at!! But if you ask for honest criticism she can’t say that she won’t hold back even on you.

You stare at kanao’s paper as she continues to sketch the treeline in the window Infront of the both of you. You’re impressed by her eye for art and even wonder if she could give you some tips as well. It’s not like you haven’t been practicing after all! “Kanao? Would you mind giving me some tips on how to improve my drawing? Honest criticism please.” You ask the girl as she turns to you. Kanao stares down at your drawing seeing what she believes is a samurai down on your paper.

She looks up back at you taking a deep breath before saying, “well your drawing isn’t near accurate to what time period I assume you’re going for. The proportions are off, the armor plates aren’t in the right place, the blade is incorrect, the legs aren’t even or balance the upper body.” Your jaw drops as kanao only looks back at you putting a hand on your shoulder. “I could help you if you like.” She hopes this would make up for shock she put on your face

While GENYA can normally keep things together, there are times where he doesn’t keep track how long he has been a demon. It’s rare considering he normally on a mission for this to ever really happen, but it doesn’t mean it hasn’t.

The mission had gone well to say the least but everything had gone on for so long. Task after task, minute after minute Genya had become more weary and more irritable. By the time he was actually released he couldn’t care about anything except going to bed. On the plus side it would mean he could see your face as well.

When he finally made it to the inn you to we’re staying at he didn’t think twice about immediately moving towards the bedrooms. He failed to see his reflection or acknowledge how loud his footsteps were moving around the house. You groggily open your eyes startled awake by the incoming noise, you don’t remember anybody staying with you. Not until a shadow peers through the doorway.

You turn around to see yellow eyes stand out from the dark hallway. They pierce menacingly almost into the room your in, slowly creeping closer in the dark. Naturally you scream but your surprised when the figure screams to. It stumbles around the room until it can see its own reflection. It’s only then when you realize it’s just genya who didn’t even realize he was a demon himself. He only mumbles out a small “ohh..” before climbing into bed to try and trying to apologize to you..

“you just seem, a little bit nervous is all.” you reply, gently picking up your sword once more. “i’m not nervous! why do you think i’m nervous?!” “well, maybe because you’re shouting.” you giggle again at his silly demeanor, he really was cute.

“it’s nothin’ … it’s just…” he freezes again, stiffening up as you stare at him intently. he knew you couldn’t see his face, he swallows hard. “it’s just..?” you try to continue his sentence and prod at him to finish, you watch him as he takes a stiff step closer to you.

he grumbles a little, before you see him grab his boar mask and gently pick it up over his head - exposing his (quite attractive) face. “oh! hello.” you grin at him and you notice the pink that had flushed his cheeks. playful banter was not unfamiliar in yalls relationship, but right now he seemed as serious as ever.

“i need to tell you somethin’ .. and you gotta promise you won’t laugh at me! or you’ll be dead!” you’re shocked a little at his tone and choice of words, but you brush it off and nod firmly at him as he continues. “i…” he groans embarrassingly as he shouts his final statement.

“i like you [name]!! you’re really cool!! and i want you to be my girlfriend right now!!”

your face burns at his confession, you drop your sword as you stare at him - lips parted gently. “you really mean that..?” you bring a hand up to your mouth as you take a step away from him. he watches your demeanor and he fears he must’ve done something wrong, why are you stepping away from him?

“yeah!! why? was that bad?” “no.. i.. i really like you too, inosuke-sama.. you’re, very talented.” the blush on his face has expanded by 10x and his ears are as red as strawberries once he hears your words. before he could reply mitsuri comes running up to you with tanjiro and zenitsu following behind.

tanjiro notices you and inosuke’s flushed faces and he realizes inosuke might’ve told you, he flashes inosuke a small smile signaling that he’s done the right thing and then focuses his attention back on mitsuri and you. zenitsu does the same.

mitsuri started to tell you about the training she’s teaching and how she needs you in there, so you must leave the boys alone to go with mitsuri. giving a quick side glance and smile at inosuke before leaving.

inosuke watches you as you walk off, tanjiro and zenitsu stay behind to talk with inosuke and what had happened. inosuke tells them everything frantically, moving his arms around as he speaks. they asked if you had accepted him, and he told them you hadn’t given him a full answer besides that you like him too.

they both smiled at him and told him that that was good, but that he has to get an official response from you that you’d like to date him. he gets a little irritated but eventually accepts, creating a plan to ask you again later. (and more appropriately this time)

once mitsuri’s training had ended you left her room along with the little girls trailing beside you, you quickly noticed inosuke down the hallway. he looked to be more clean from the training but was still wearing his casual attire. once he notices you’ve walked out of the room he makes his way towards you.

“hey [name]! i need to talk to you again.” you smile at his words and begin to follow him outside, where you both hop onto the roof of the ubuyashiki mansion. “yes..?” you shyly ask, sitting down beside him on the roof overlooking the forest ahead of you.

“i asked you the question earlier today but you never responded! so i must ask you again!” he shouts in your ear, stunned by his loud demeanor you place a hand on his arm to shush him and he immediately does. gawking at the physical touch before continuing more quietly.

“will you be my girlfriend [name]? i swear to treat you better than any boy here! i will be the best for you!” he confesses passionately, grabbing ahold of one of your hands.

you giggle and bring a hand up to your face to push your hair away before shyly looking back up at him, “i accept your proposal, inosuke-chan.. you’re quite the mess, but i can fix you up into shape in no time!” you laugh and cup both of his hands in your own and you can tell he’s smiling as the conversation continues.

once you both have finished your conversation on the roof, you’re signaled to go to bed. you both gently jump off the roof together and you grab ahold of his arm and walk in with him. he walks you to your room and you let go of him tiredly, he continues towards his after watching you go and explains the whole thing to tanjiro and zenitsu.

they cheer him on for officially swooping you off of your feet and charming you into another dimension, they celebrate by playing games together and nezuko watches intently as they do. eventually they all fall asleep and from then on out inosuke hashibira was now your boyfriend.

It takes several hours to reach the base of the mountain. It takes several more to climb to the peak. By the time you make it there, it is pitch black outside. As you walk through the snow covered forest, you strain your ears trying to figure out the location of the demon. There are no footprints to track. The snow likely covered them up.

After walking for a while, you conclude that you cannot track this demon based on sound. Because there is no sound. It is eerily quiet. The other slayers that were supposed to be on this mission haven't showed up. There are no animals. The wind is not blowing, rustling the leaves. Everything is still, except for the falling snow.

Chills crawling up your body, you whisper to yourself, "Something is wrong here. Where is everyone?" Throwing a glance at the crow sitting on your shoulder, "Where are the animals?"

Your crow cocks its head at you before launching itself into the air as you gasp, "Wait! Where are you going?"

As it flies into the distance you look around the dark, snowy forest. Finding yourself completely alone.

A few hours later, at the butterfly mansion, Tanjiro sits outside pondering over the situation.

‘Should I have told her from the beginning? I only wanted to spare her feelings… but I think I made it worse.’ He thinks to himself when suddenly his train of thought is interrupted.

“Y/N L/N!! IN NEED OF IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE!! MOUNT KOMOTORI!!”

“That’s Y/n’s crow!” Tanjiro says out loud.

“Y/N L/N!! IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE!!” The bird repeats.

Snapping into action, Tanjiro runs to get his sword, passing a frazzled Zenitsu, who turns to follow him, also running.

“Did you hear?” Zenitsu questions, “Y/n needs help!”

Tanjiro glances at him, “Yeah… I’m heading there now.”

“So am I.” The blonde nods.

“I’m coming too!” A third voice joins in.

“Inosuke?” Tanjiro questions.

“You didn’t think you could go on a rescue mission without King Inosuke did you?” The boar-headed child laughs, “I’m gonna get there first, save her, and make sure everyone knows how awesome I am!”

“Y/N L/N!! IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE!! HURRY!!” The crow swoops down pecking Zenitsu on the forehead.

“Alright! Zenitsu, you’re faster than us so you go ahead. We’re right behind you.” Tanjiro orders.

For once, Zenitsu is serious, “You got it.” he nods, before dashing away.

Tanjiro, looks up with a plea to whatever god is listening, “Please let Y/n be alright until we get there!”

Hours later, Zenitsu is the first to arrive at the peak of Mount Komotori, it is nearing midnight.

“What happened here…” he breathes.

The surrounding area is torn to shreds. Trees snapped completely in half, sharp shards of ice sticking straight up from the ground, and blood, lots of it, smeared in the snow.

Realizing he is in the middle of a fierce battlefield, Zenitsu unsheathes his sword. Shaking slightly, he takes small steps into the forest.

“This is terrifying! I need to find Y/n and get out of here!” he squeaks.

He walks aimlessly for a while before the shaking of a bush paralyzes him in place.

“Coming through!” Inosuke jumps through the bush, pouncing on top of Zenitsu.

“Inosuke wait!” Tanjiro’s voice flows through the air.

Zenitsu, screaming at Inosuke for scaring him, suddenly pauses, snapping his gaze to Tanjiro.

“Did you hear that?”

“Hear what? Did you see any sign of Y/n?” Tanjiro questions.

Zenitsu pushes Inosuke off of him, straining his ears for the sound, “There! That’s it again!”

“What is it?”

“A sword!” the blonde exclaims, “I hear a sword! It has to be Y/n!”

Quickly, Zenitsu leads his friends toward the sound.

“Must be a hell of a fight…” Inosuke mumbles, observing the damage as they run through the snowy forest.

Getting closer, Tanjiro and Inosuke are finally able to hear the sound of the sword that their friend was leading them toward. Moving to a clearing to see you facing off against a demon who seems to use a blood demon art involving the manipulation of ice.

As they sprint into the clearing, you lock eyes with Tanjiro. Just as a spear of ice, launches itself into your abdomen.

“Y/N!!!” All three boys scream.

Inosuke and Zenitsu take your place against the demon, as Tanjiro runs to your side. Quickly, he pulls you a safe distance from the battle, his frenzied eyes roaming over your battered figure.

“You’re okay, you’re okay,” he repeats, “Focus on your breathing and you’ll be fine.”

You’re not sure if he’s reassuring you or himself.

Choking on a breath, you whimper, “Tanjiro…”

“No. Don’t talk, just breathe. Use your breathing to stop the blood,” he coaches.

But the open wound continues to pour more and more, staining the snow underneath you in a puddle of red.

“Y/n please, you have to breathe,” he pushes down on the wound, trying to stop the bleeding, “Y/n you have to listen to m-“

“Tanjiro…” you interrupt, “it’s okay. I’m okay.”

You gasp for air, “It doesn’t hurt.”

At this, tears begin falling down his cheeks, as he whispers your name, pleading.

“I’m sorry.” he hiccups, “I should’ve been faster-, I shouldn’t have kept it from you-, I should’ve done-“

“It’s okay,” you interrupt once more, a whisper this time, “It’s not your fault.”

He brushes the hair from your face, and as he holds you, bloody, battered, and dying, in his arms, he sees you in a different light.

Tanjiro realizes he never quite noticed the sparkle in your eyes until now, when it’s fizzling out.

Or how soft and clear your skin is until now, when it’s covered in blood.

Or how rosy pink your lips are until now, when they’re turning blue.

“Why?” He cries, “Why is this happening?”

You lift your arm, as heavy as lead, to lay your palm on his cheek, “I’ll see you again soon, yeah?”

He runs his fingers through your blood soaked hair, sniffling, “Yeah…”

Your hand falls from his cheek, your eyes close, and you exhale one last choked breath.

Inosuke With a Pretty Girlfriend HCs

This was originally meant to be written as a reader who wears makeup, paints her nails, etc. It sort of spiraled into crush and dating headcanons lol. My bad!

I think Inosuke would be more concerned with the fighting abilities of his s/o rather than her looks. In fact, it makes very little difference what she looks like to him.

When he first starts feeling things for her, he assumes it's some secret power she has.

Inosuke wonders why he thinks of you at the worst of times, especially in the heat of battle or when you're away from him. It gets worse when his face burns under the boar head because of something you did or said - oftentimes a hand on his shoulder or complimenting him on a job well done.

He tries to ask Tanjiro but explains it in such a roundabout way that he really has no idea what Inosuke means.

In an attempt to be helpful, Tanjiro suggests that maybe it's a breathing technique you learned and that's what got Inosuke so shaken up (oh Tanjiro-).

Of course if Zenitsu was there he'd know immediately what was bothering Inosuke.

At one point the boar-headed boy corners you and demands you stop doing that, and when you ask for him to elaborate, he says "Those weird feelings I get whenever you're around!"

When you finally understand and explain it to Inosuke, he flat-out denies it to be the case.

"No way do I like you! Lord Inosuke bows to no one!"

You shrug, assuming you've gotten it wrong.

Zenitsu is furious when he hears what happened

"YOU IDIOT! HOW COULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO A PRETTY GIRL LIKE HER?!"

It takes a shouting match and a good bonk to the head for Inosuke to finally ask you out:(

Inosuke might tease you a bit if you wear makeup and such ("Why are you putting that on your face? It'll just rub off!")

If you tell him to stop teasing you, he will, but every little thing you do will now be carefully observed by him.

Inosuke is genuinely curious as to why you're plucking the hairs off your eyebrows or why you paint your fingernails knowing it won't enhance your fighting abilities.

He already thinks you're pretty, so he'll be confused as to why you do things to make yourself prettier???

Again, he thinks you have some sort of secret power behind your beauty (almost like a blood demon art)

On the rare occasion that he does remove his mask, you tease him for being the pretty one (how could you not? He's got lashes even you are envious of). He just pouts and brushes it off

Sometimes you'll ask if you can do his makeup or paint his nails; Inosuke might indulge you occasionally

Is the type to mess up your hair just because he can. When you get mad, he actually laughs

K. Tanjiro

He'll blush a lot and be agitated: his entire face and the tips of his ears will be red

He won't know exactly how to react because that was the first time you had told him he was handsome

In the end, he'll hug you tightly and then he will kiss you on your forehead

"Y-you are beautiful too, sweetheart."

You made his day with this statement

A. Zenitsu

He'll faint, literally

When he wakes up, he'll blush and try to return the compliment, but he won't be able to because he'll stutter too much

"Y-you a-a-are p-pretty t-t-too."

He might even start crying, since no one had ever called him that

For the next few days he won't be able to stop thinking about it: your words will repeat in his mind and he won't be able to help but blush every time he thinks about it

H. Inosuke

He won't know exactly how to react

He'll have the same reactions he has when Tanjiro gives him some compliment (~fuwa fuwa~)

His face will be bright red and he won't understand why

He'll think you want to fight him and this is a way to distract him

"Aahhhh! What are you doing, woman?! You want to fight?!"

S. Genya

You broke him: he'll blush so much he'll almost faint

He'll try to return the compliment, but only broken sentences and stammers will come out of his mouth

"Genya, are you ok?" "Y-yes! Y-you a-are p-pretty t-too."

Afterwards, he'll want to run away and, if you follow him, you'll find him all red and trembling

He'll never forget your words

T. Yoriichi

It'll be the first time you see the slightest smile and blush on this stoic man's face

He'll gently caress your cheek and kiss you for a few seconds

This was the first time someone told him he was handsome, so he'll think he should return the compliment

"You're more beautiful, my love."
