LDS Doctrine, 8yr-old Transgender Children and Policy
One of the most shocking things about the new LDS policies for transgender children, is the policy that appears to deny or severely restrict their access to baptism. I discussed that briefly here (last year and recently). This post looks more at the doctrinal side of the question.
LDS doctrine has been amazingly clear and consistent on the treatment of little children prior to the age of accountability (defined as 8yrs-old in Doctrine & Covenants 68) from the very early days of the church. I honestly feel this issue has some nuance, but the church has been absolutely unwavering in stating the tenet that children under the age of 8 cannot sin, or even if they can their sin is swallowed up in the atonement of Christ automatically.
I might personally believe that accountability for actions is a continuum based on the light and law an individual has received (2 Nephi 9:25-6, Luke 12:47-9, Romans 4:15, 5:13, DC 137:7 – a continuum applying to all individuals, regardless of age). However, LDS doctrine and statements are emphatic in declaring the complete innocence of little children, and that the atonement covers them completely until the child is 8 years old:
Moroni 8:8,11-2,14,19 (verses 20+ are much harsher) “...wherefore little children are whole, for they are not capable of committing sin… their little children need no repentance… little children are alive in Christ, from the foundation of the world… little children cannot repent; wherefore it is awful wickedness to deny the pure mercies of God unto them…”
DC 20:71 “No one can be received into the church of Christ unless he has arrived at the years of accountability before God, and is capable of repentance”
DC 68:27 “And their children shall be baptized for the remission of their sins when eight years old, and receive the laying on of the hands”
DC 74:7 “But little children are holy, being sanctified through the atonement of Christ; and this is what the scriptures mean”
See also Mosiah 3:16, Mosiah 15:25, DC 29:46-7, DC 137:10, JST Genesis 17:3-11, etc.
Taken together, little children are whole and clean through Jesus Christ until they arrive at the years of accountability and are capable of repentance. And that age is 8 years old. Church leaders have repeatedly restated this:
Dallin H Oaks: “We understand from our doctrine that before the age of accountability a child is ‘not capable of committing sin’” (Dallin H. Oaks, “Sins and Mistakes,” Ensign, Oct. 1996, 65)
Bruce R. McConkie “There comes a time, however, when accountability is real and actual and sin is attributed in the lives of those who develop normally. It is eight years of age, the age of baptism.” (Bruce R. McConkie, “The Salvation of Little Children,” Ensign, Apr. 1977, 6)
And we can even see this in the policies laid out in the current General Handbook of Instructions:
31.2.3.1: Children who are Members of Record
(note: children of record are children whose names are on the rolls of the church prior to baptism at age 8)
"In the interview, the bishopric member ensures that the child understands the purposes of baptism (see 2 Nephi 31:5–20). He also ensures that the child understands the baptismal covenant and is committed to live by it (see Mosiah 18:8–10). He does not need to use a specified list of questions. This is not an interview to determine worthiness, since 'little children need no repentance' (Moroni 8:11)."
(bold emphasis mine)
But for the first time in our history, we have an exception to this rule, and it applies only if the child is transgender. Instead of a meaningful interview with the local bishop or one of his counselors about following Jesus, a transgender child (and only a transgender child) who dresses differently or uses a different name and pronouns must have a worthiness interview with the regional Stake President directly. There is no other ‘sin’ that calls for this, even when little children have somehow perpetrated horrible crimes. If the Stake President finds the child worthy (is this even possible under the new guidelines??), he recommends the child for baptism to the First Presidency. The First Presidency is the highest council/court in the church, from which there is no appeal. The First Presidency then chooses whether or not to permit the child to be baptized. This new policy is spelled out in the Handbook:
38.2.8.9: Individuals Who Identify as Transgender
"Any exception to this policy requires the approval of the First Presidency. To request approval, the mission president, or the stake president for an eight-year-old, interviews the person. If he finds the person to be worthy and if he recommends baptism and confirmation, he submits a request for approval to the First Presidency using LCR."
(bold emphasis mine)
In the past, the church has denied baptism to the children of polygamists and to the children of gays (possibly others). In those cases, it could always be said the child’s parents were at fault, not the child themselves. This new policy is a marked departure from that and, in my opinion, is inconsistent with the church’s doctrine. I hope to see this policy adjusted as other policies have been when they do not align well with our core values and doctrines.
Love,
Erran

LDS doctrine question - what of the following views of Communion is the closest to what you think?
Memorialism: it's just a symbol, it has no innate spiritual power and is not the Body and Blood of Christ. (Held by Baptists, Methodists, Pentecostals, Holiness, Anabaptists, Evangelicals and Seventh-Day Adventists)
Spiritual Presence: it's not the Body and Blood of Christ, but we do receive Christ and His grace spiritually through it. (Held by Presbyterians, Dutch Reformed, Continental Reformed and some Anglicans).
Real Presence: it really is the Body and Blood of Christ with objective spiritual power, both to sanctify those who faithfully receive it and to condemn those who unfaithfully take it. (Held by most Anglicans, Lutherans, Catholic, Eastern and Oriental Orthodox and the Church of the East).
Also, are there any requirements for who can hold Communion, who can receive it and how it has to be done? If so, what are they?
Good question! Might need some help from others on this because I’m not exactly sure if it is memorialism or spiritual presence.
The sacrament prayers say “this bread in rememberance of the body of thy son” (or this water in rememberance of the blood of thy son. why we usually use water instead of wine may be related to this)
So that wording makes me think memorialism. But then we have the understanding too that the sacrament (what we call communion) is a covenant in which we receive Christ and bind ourselves to him. More specifically it is the renewal of our previous covenants. So baptism is a covenant with Christ in which we take Christs name upon us and join his church. Every week when we take the sacrament we are renewing that. To the same effect of being effectively baptized every week (sins washed away, take Christs name upon us, etc). Then as we make more covenants like the endowment and our marriage covenants, those would also be renewed every week as well through the partaking of the emblems of the flesh and blood.
It’s a time to remember Christ and his sacrifice for us. It’s a time to reflect. I would say the general population would probably lean towards a memorialism understanding. But I don’t believe there’s anything that says it can’t be a spiritual presence….. there might even be evidence for it I just have never looked. but I have heard/read some quotes that go against the real presence understanding. To me it’s not as important as the fact that we are using the symbolic act of eating and drinking to take Christ upon us/inside us. I think there’s lots of spiritual insight to be gained from a real presence understanding but whether or not that’s true does not seem the vital point here (which I know for you is probably opposite as Catholics/orthodox often LOVE real presence theology and I can see why)
As for who is restricted from taking it, it’s fairly liberal with some restrictions. Everyone in the congregation partakes, even unbaptized children. I also see unbaptized visitors take it, though they often pass. The way I see it (and again have never read for or against this) since partaking is a renewal of a previously made covenant, to partake while unworthy (or innocent in the case of children) is not a sin if you haven’t made a covenant yet. Without making the covenant of baptism, you can’t break said covenant. So taking or not partaking will do you no harm or good. It just is. It’s just bread and water. (Maybe this supports memorialism?)
On the other side though, if you’ve made a covenant and break it and then take the sacrament knowingly, you are partaking unworthily which is condemned in the bible in the Book of Mormon and in the doctrine and covenants. So you DONT want to do that. But we don’t restrict for just “basic” sins if that makes sense. Because the sacrament is supposed to be you coming back to god and saying “hey I messed up this week, again, please let me partake and be with you and renew all my covenants. I will follow you still, even when I stumble. I want to be with you”. Taking the sacrament is the symbolic act of repentance and washing away sins. So you don’t want to not take it just because you’re not perfect as that defeats the whole purpose. But if you are really struggling with something, or really harmed someone, you may choose to abstain for a time, or your bishop may ask you to abstain. (Ex porn addiction that’s taking over your life, you cheated on your wife, you broke the law, you left the church, idk… it’s up to you and your bishop, it’s not cut and dry)
Some other quick things to cover the rest. Only priests or elders can bless the sacrament. Deacons, teachers and priests and elders can pass it (those are different orders of the priesthood). Anyone can touch it after it’s been blessed. It’s supposed to be treated sacredly but if it falls on the ground it’s not the end of the world we just pick it back up. After it’s blessed if there’s leftovers I don’t think you can just eat it for fun??? I am actually not sure since I never do clean up. We usually use water and bread as the symbols but anything can be used if it’s treated respectfully. Water was used for safety reasons instead of wine because of the church’s enemies trying to tamper with their communion wine, and I guess it just stuck because it’s cheap and easy to find. Gluten free crackers are often blessed and passed around in a separate cup. I’ve seen popcorn lol for the gluten free.
This ask really got me thinking and I’m happy to hear anyone else’s thoughts.
(Also ps I did read your message from month’s ago on my fave BoM book and I promise I will get back to you, I was just finishing the New Testament and this year I’m doing BoM so I’m thinking about it. It’s hard to pick!)

Why don't you agree with The Family: A Proclamation to the World? You belong to this church and all the leaders say this is what we should believe. Just because it's inconvenient since you're gay doesn't mean you should oppose it.
The Family Proclamation was approved by The First Presidency and the Quorum of 12 Apostles in 1995. There are some wonderful teachings in that document and it’s a good summary of the church’s positions.
However, these same men have said that homosexuality doesn’t exist and that homosexuals are an enemy to the church. So forgive me for wondering if they really have an understanding of the topic or have inquired of the Lord if the church’s position is correct or needs to change.
The 8th article of faith teaches that scripture is imperfect. I don’t believe every word in the Bible or Book of Mormon is perfect. The Bible shows many changes in doctrines & practices, as does LDS Church history. That allows me to believe there can be more shifts on LGBT topics by church leaders.
This is not an exhaustive list, but it shows the attitude of each of the 15 men
Gordon B. Hinckley - Most of his public statements affirmed that homosexual acts are sinful, but he always added that these are good people and we love “so-called gays and lesbians.” He announced the end of the church’s practice of encouraging gay men to marry a woman. His approach was that gay people have a problem and the church wants to help them solve it.
Thomas S. Monson - There are few comments directly attributed to him on LGBT topics, usually his positions are announced as being from the First Presidency.
His presidency began with the effort to pass Prop 8 in California. It also included the announcement that the church would break with the Boy Scouts after it decided to allow gay scout leaders. His time as president ended with the November 2015 policy of exclusion which banned the children of gay couples and elevated those gay couples to being “apostate.”
James E. Faust
Sept 1995 - Denied that there are any biological or “inherited” components of homosexuality and the idea of inborn homosexual orientation is a false belief. If there was an inherited or inborn aspect to homosexuality it would “frustrate the whole plan of mortal happiness” and deny “the opportunity to change.”
Boyd K. Packer
October 1976 – Gave the sermon “To Young Men Only” in which he commended a missionary who “floored” his companion for being gay. Also said it’s a “malicious and destructive lie” that “some are born with an attraction to their own kind.”
March 1978 – At a BYU devotional titled “To the One”, Elder Packer says that homosexuality has its roots in selfishness and said that gay feelings could be “cured” with “unselfish thoughts, with unselfish acts.”
October 1990 – Using scriptures to prove that homosexual impulses are inborn, or cannot be overcome, is dangerous because the same logic can justify “incest or the molesting of littlechildren.”
April 1992 – Stated that people who engage in same-sex pairings degrade themselves below animals, because animals don’t mate with other animals of the same sex
May 1993 – Elder Packer identifies those in the gay & lesbian or feminist movements and scholars/intellectuals as enemies to the church. He also says men who identify as homosexual have “gender disorientation.”
October 2000 – Homosexuality begins as an “innocent curiosity” which leads to addiction. Says that God did not create this unnatural desire but God can cure it
October 2010 – Taught that God would not give people inborn tendencies towards the impure and unnatural and these can be overcome with faith
L. Tom Perry
February 2014 – gay young men need association with manly things & strong vigorous men. He does not believe that people are born with same-sex attractions. People seeking to renew their temple recommends shouldn’t support same-sex marriage. Same-sex couples who express any physical affection during church meetings should be reprimanded in private. Allowing the evil of same-sex marriage to grow would destroy the basic family unit.
April 2015 – said that the church opposes counterfeit and alternative lifestyles
David B Haight - I’m actually not aware of anything he said or wrote on LGBT topics
Neal A. Maxwell
October 1980 – Hoped one day the word “gay” would be rescued (in other words, wouldn’t be associated with homosexuality)
He wrote that homosexuality is predatory
Russell M. Nelson
April 2006 – Called for the US legislators to pass a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage
August 2009 – Children need to be protected from same-sex marriages, and if it becomes legal, it would harm society and limit the rights of people who uphold traditional marriage and family.
Dallin H. Oaks
January 1975 – As president of BYU directed a purge to expel homosexual students. All male drama & ballet students were pulled from class and interrogated in the halls for the names of any Gays they knew.
August 1984 – Recommended the church not oppose job discrimination laws protecting homosexuals as long as there’s exceptions for “employment and activities that provide teaching, association and role models for young people. This would include school teachers (especially at the elementary and second-ary levels), and youth leaders and counselors (such as scout masters, coaches, etc.).”
October 1995 – “erotic feelings toward a person of the same sex are irregular.”
April 2006 – The church no longer endorses “aversion therapies” and the church doesn’t accept responsibility for abuses suffered by individuals who experienced those therapies. He added that a mixed-orientation marriage would be appropriate for gay members. He also said if he had a gay child who came to visit with their partner, he’d tell them “don’t expect to stay overnight. Don’t expect to be a lengthy house guest. Don’t expect us to take you out and introduce you to our friends, or to deal with you in a public situation that would imply our approval of your ‘partnership.’”
October 2006 – In regards to same sex attraction, he said that change is possible and to not focus on the causes of same-gender attraction.
2011 – “news media cover up anything involving homosexuals when it would work to the disadvantage of the homosexual agenda.”
August 2017 – Said to not identify yourself with labels of sexual orientation.
September 2017 – He lamented the increase in public acceptance of same-sex marriage and that church members should choose God & the church’s way
M. Russell Ballard
October 2008 – Urged all California members to donate 4 hours per week, and set aside Saturdays from 9am to 2pm to participate in assignments to pass Prop 8 which would ban same-sex marriage.
Joseph B. Wirthlin
October 1994 – called homosexual behavior “abnormal”
Richard G. Scott
October 1994 – Said that “stimulation can lead to acts of homosexuality” (aka, masturbation) (He was quoting former president Spencer W. Kimball)
April 1995 – Homosexual acts are deviant
Robert D. Hales
November 1976 – Grouped being homosexual with adultery & fornication.
Jeffrey R. Holland
March 2006 – gay or lesbian inclinations “will not be a post-mortal condition.” He also uses the phrases “struggling with gender identity” and “gender confusion” as synonyms for homosexuality
Henry B. Eyring
November 2014 – “We want our voice to be heard against all of the counterfeit and alternative lifestyles that try to replace the family organization.”

Explaining polygamy and its history in the Mormon Church
http://bit.ly/2vNc5OF

The arrest of polygamist leader Lyle Jeffs, evictions of polygamist families and new studies on crippling genetic disorders among small ultra-orthodox or “fundamentalist” Mormon communities in rural Utah have made headlines this summer.
This spotlight on polygamy is likely to make the majority of Mormons who are nonfundamentalist uncomfortable. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) – the mainstream Mormon Church with 15 million members worldwide – publicly rejected polygamy in 1890. But to this day, mainstream Mormons encounter stereotypes of polygamy.
As a scholar of Mormonism and gender and a Mormon myself, I know that the truth about Mormonism and polygamy is complicated and confusing. For more than 175 years, polygamy and tensions surrounding it have defined what it means to be a Mormon – especially a Mormon man.
Beginning of polygamy
Founded by Joseph Smith in 1830, the Mormon movement from its beginnings offered a unique perspective on the religious role of men.
One of the most influential events in the life of Joseph Smith was the death of his 25-year-old brother Alvin in 1823. In 1836, Joseph Smith had a vision of Alvin Smith in heaven. Based on this vision, he developed the Mormon teaching that families could be together in heaven if they underwent religious rites – called “sealings” – in Mormon temples. Any faithful Mormon approved by church leaders could perform these sealings.
Due in part to this powerful role it gave to men in helping to save the people they loved and brought to heaven, Mormonism attracted proportionally more male converts than any other American religious movement of the time.
In the early 1830s, Smith extended this view of the role of men to include polygamy as it was practiced by Old Testament prophets like Abraham. Smith taught that a righteous man could help numerous women and children go to heaven by being “sealed” in plural marriage. Large families multiplied a man’s glory in the afterlife. This teaching was established as doctrine in 1843.
Joseph Smith. Stephen, CC BY-NC-ND
Rumors that polygamy was practiced by a small cadre of LDS Church leaders spurred mob violence against early Mormon settlements in Illinois and Missouri. In the face of this opposition, Smith counseled Mormon men to be “crafty” – contemporary scholars have interpreted this to mean alert, wise and “resourceful” – in their practice of polygamy and use of “sealings.”
After the murder of Joseph Smith in 1845, Mormons migrated to Utah territory in 1847, and there, under the leadership of Brigham Young – who succeeded Joseph Smith – brought the practice of polygamy out of the shadows. LDS leaders announced plural marriage as an official Mormon Church practice in 1852.
Following Young, Mormon theologians heralded polygamy as a core doctrine and as evidence of patriarchal manliness. By the 1880s, an estimated 20-30 percent of Mormon families practiced polygamy.
Polygamy laws, fundamentalist groups
However, after the U.S. Civil War, a growing controversy over polygamy united Americans – in both the North and South. Politicians, preachers and novelists decried it as an evil equal to slavery.
The United States Supreme Court ruled in Reynolds v. the United States (1878) that polygamy was an “odious” practice. The court said,
“Polygamy has always been odious among the northern and western nations of Europe, and, until the establishment of the Mormon Church, was almost exclusively a feature of the life of Asiatic and of African people. At common law, the second marriage was always void, and from the earliest history of England, polygamy has been treated as an offence against society….”
The United States Congress passed the Edmunds-Tucker Act (1887) authorizing the seizure of LDS Church assets and making polygamy a federal offense. Entire families went “underground” to avoid imprisonment. Mormon men were stereotyped as fanatics who exploited innocent converts to satisfy their “sexual degeneracy.” Mobs in the American South in the 1880s attacked Mormon missionaries.
Under pressure, LDS Church President Wilford W. Woodruff announced in 1890 that the Mormon Church would no longer sanction plural marriages in adherence with the law of the United States. Still, such marriages continued to be performed among Mormons in Mexico – some of whom emigrated from Utah to northern Mexico specifically to continue polygamy – or by rogue LDS leaders through the 1920s.
In the 1930s, seven leading Mormon polygamists banded together to form a loose confederation of Mormon fundamentalists to keep polygamy going. Several were excommunicated from the mainstream LDS Church and formed close-knit fundamentalist communities across the West – from Canada to Mexico – that survive to this day.
New depictions of masculinity
While fundamentalist Mormons broke off from the LDS Church in the early 20th century to continue their open practice of polygamy, those who remained members of the LDS Church made a hard turn toward the American mainstream and assimilation.
These mainstream Mormons developed new norms of Mormon manhood that seemed safer to the American public.
Moving away from the stereotype that Mormonism was led by fanatical prophets with multiple wives and long beards, as Mormons assimilated, LDS Church leaders developed a more modern clean-shaven appearance and a bureaucratic, corporate style of managing church affairs.
Between 1890 and 1920, LDS participation in the Boy Scouts (which began in 1911), bans on smoking and alcohol, and conservative sexuality helped to defined this new Mormon manhood. Donny Osmond, Steve Young and Mitt Romney exemplify the modern Mormon norm.
Protests in Utah in 2016 against a lawmaker’s proposal that would make polygamy a felony crime. AP Photo/Rick Bowmer
Still, it is my experience as a lifelong Mormon that LDS people with strong cultural and familial ties to the faith commonly believe that polygamy will be a fact of life in heaven. The LDS Church publicly renounced the practice of polygamy in 1890, but it has never renounced polygamy as doctrine, as evidenced in LDS scriptures. It has always permitted and continues to permit men to be married in Mormon temples “for the eternities” to more than one wife.
This tension between private belief and public image makes polygamy a sensitive subject for Mormons even today.

White Supremacy: Cult and Culture Taught by the Psychopathic Politician
We talked lots here about the similarities of
White supremacy groups and ideologies
alt right Churches, leaders and leadership
alt right politicians
and, our metaphors:
vampires
mobsters
gangsters
pirates
White supremacy groups are on the rise. Many leaders of those groups note their new public appearances, march, validation, boldness, and member increase has come from one source: the words of hate and alt right views of one man, Donald Trump. How can this be? See the Genocide tab above for information on the psychopath's propaganda. As you imagine the images, deeds, and words of this groups you've seen currently and portrayed in recent history, look at these checklists: These are one and the same: psychopaths cult leaders alt right politicians alt right religious figures, church leaderships, and doctrines white supremacy groups and, the list of traits lizards, reptiles:
There is an incredible commonness among Psychopaths, psychopathy and cultic churches and cult church leadership/leaders
The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the Truth, as law. Weekends and evenings are to be spent on church activities, classes, or prescribed like "community acts of cleaning up the parks"
Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished, including public announcement on a radio talk show or official excommunication. The church, leader, or leadership has the True Word or Message from God, or has the only correct interpretation of the Bible or scriptures. All outside of this is wrong, sin, condemned, etc.
The leadership dictates or else cons in a "loving parent role with guidance and castigation" in a , sometimes in great detail, how members should think, act, and feel (for example, members must get permission to date or date church members or marry only church members (early marriage is common), change jobs, marry or leaders prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, whether or not to have children, how to discipline children, and so forth).
Propaganda and linguistics are used in the con and mesmerizing of members. Key words could include:
You are part of the in group, and they are part of the out group.
Fear mongering is used and timed by the leadership or leader. While the person looks like a nice "grandfatherly elder", the reality is that the use of fear to control and motivate is more key than positive motivation.
Bias is generated against others:
For instance, in my area, I've known many LDS Mormons willing to cheat me or overcharge me for an item, while giving their own members the real price or a discount. But, this is not just me, but a trait taught to them: the lesser or "out group" is less deserving, which is all non-Mormons. While the LDS Church implores them to be honest, this is a given of all of them:
If you can benefit from the $ of the non-Mormons, do so. Don't talk about it, or boast about it, but be quiet and do it because it's the culture. When the Church talks about honesty, this underlying hidden culture is AOK. This is a sense of entitlement even when others are not treated fairly. There is also an allowed trickery to get converts: When you attend the free Bible Study, it deviates from that topic and becomes only testimonies of Mormon member's conversion and why you should convert.
This is acted out on daily by LDS, but others of all cult church groups. And, this is also acted out as the LDS Church seeks to influence the Laws in Idaho and Utah, as well as preferential treatment by the federal government. The Church denies all of this, including ongoing denial of:
1. Church history by those historians excommunicated as recently as summer 2017
2. the $ and property ownership of the church
3. political and social violence against others, including attempted takeovers of the Utah territory, takeover of Idaho legislature, and the denial of the Mountain Meadow Massacre, killing of 80 non-Mormon women and children by throat slitting
4. Racism, misogyny to the level of white woman slavery, and a culture of White Male Dominance and Entitlement. Entitlement is privilege, money, jobs, sexual, etc.
5. a distorted true history, the repression of that history, a fear of that true history, excommunication of historians or those who reveal the history, and the Mormon Church: keeping that history hidden in secret vaults in Salt Lake City.
6. keeping church rituals a secret that only the "worthy" can know about, though in the last 2 years those have been posted on Youtube (search LDS Church Secret Temple rituals).
The group is elitist even if in a false humility sort of way, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader, church or leadership is considered the Messianic or a Messiah, a special being, an avatar or the group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity). Messages may be claimed, comes direct from God to the leadership or pastor.
The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict, but is taught children and adults. It is deeply ingrained. In lesser ways we see this on the school playground where a Mormon child feels entitled to feel good about them self because of their faith and tells others they're just a bit less. But, it's said subtly.
Cults in a greater sense:
Incite Violence via the Psychopath's process:
Take from others, soul, esteem, value, respect, goods, income
And cause member's to act out, whether an alt right Christian throws rocks at gays, or a Manson Family Cult member kills innocent people for fun.
See our videos on this: how bias, in and out groups, and genocide is created, in the Genocide tab above.
The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members' participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus charities).
The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt in order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion.
Subservience to the leader or group requires members to cut ties with non-church family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.
As with some churches like the LDS church, there is a false "tolerance and inclusion of non church family members". You include them in picnics and family dinners, you talk to them as though respecting them, but it's a ruse. It is following a church guideline and not "genuine", because of the innate feeling of superiority the church member has.
Superiority Trumps Inclusion and Tolerance
Proselytizing Trumps Respect and Genuineness
The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members to bring in more money
Churches can only exist with new members that do the work, but most importantly, give $. Members and $ are about the same commodity. Successful churches or cult leaders can pull together resources
Shame
Fear
A "Special Doctrine" to sell people
Get members, get money
Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group and group-related activities. Members are encouraged or required to primarily live and/or socialize only with other group members. The most loyal members (the "true believers") feel there can be no life outside the context of the group. They believe there is no other way to be, and often fear reprisals to themselves or others if they leave (or even consider leaving) the group.

Can you name the 20 characteristics that Lizard People and Political Psychopaths share in common? Here is part of that list: 1. lack of compassion, something missing in brain and personality 2. eats flesh 3. uses intimidation 4. attacks, and loves that and lives for that 5. beyond attacks and getting food, has no other life 6. seems as many say, "not of this planet", alien 7. humans are in danger 8. teeth made to shred 9. predators, raptors 10. no tears 11. no full range of emotions 12. plans and conspires, mostly to kill and feed (type in the search bar to right "lizard" for articles and videos on lizard people) "Dark Disorder". What is Dark Disorder?? What are the Goals of the Psychopath? Below is a summary from the books by Dr. Bunch Tools and Resources to Fend off Pirates and Takers in your life A. Also Called: Psychopathy Dark Spectrum Disorder B. Also called the Dark Evil Triad of
Dangerous Narcissism,
Psychopathy including political psychopaths up to world dictators,
Dictator Genocide of "glib" Machiavellianism
Is a Brain + Personality Disorder, we simplify to "Psychopath Spectrum Disorder" for those will all traits. And, if you fully look, they have all traits. We often shorten this term to just PSYCHOPATH
See 1300 explaining articles and 11 books at http://bit.ly/2yk4qIi
3% of Population converts minions via propaganda, con, and fear
Includes, and they may be the same: dangerous narcissism, psychopathic leaders, and glib Machiavellians
Found World Wide and in History
Many with gravitate to positions of leadership in governments and business
Those not in leadership: many abusive fathers, 60% of prison felons, committers of 9 of 10 crimes
Only 1 of 10 are women
There are people with the disorder, but there are also groups and organizations who "behave" this way.
Primary Key Traits:
Lack of Compassion for others, humans, environment
Greed: seeks gold, babes, adoration, bling, rare cars
Regressed Age 17 Teen Boy Goals, Ideals, Language
Damage to Others via deceit/lies/con
Uses others, professing loyalty up front, then discards or blames
Selects and trains victims, controls by the Cycle of Victim Abuse
Traits of can be found in early childhood if you look hard
skilled pathological liars, cons, use of deceit, has an "actor's personna"
no full range of emotions, lacks tears of grief, sadness

Find all 20 of these in catalog here: The Dark Disorder people are right next to you: Books and Kindle
1. Traits of these can be identified in behavior, but Dark Disorders have con/deceit/lie/distraction abilities fooling MOST others. They use an Actor Persona to accomplish this, learned from early childhood. "I'm so nice, good, caring."
2. Traits can also be seen in Brain Scans: Lacking of areas of compassion, bonding, intimacy, healthy parenting or lovers, concern for environment or the marginalized, rationality, full range of emotions especially loss/grief and tears. Because Dark Disorder forms in early childhood, the person is as adult ONLY these characteristics.
Exacerbated brain areas dedicated to: impulsiveness as a norm, lack of rationality, anger / rage episodes, revenge, possessiveness, pathological lying / con / skilled deceit, ADD/ADHD, age regressed 17-year-old boy thinking/behavior/ideals, self focus / self absorbed, uses people, selects and grooms victims then "throws under bus", partners are sexual or "status" objects, gets "high" on revenge/attacks/aggression, brain and skills dedicated to war-like strategies to take and amass goodies (bling, babes, accolades, trophies, properties, gold, rare cars, mansions, etc.). Mythomania: drives causes to control and take with a story he believes in. (see articles Mythomania).
Many with gravitate to positions of leadership in governments and business (may represent then 20% in government, business leadership (or bullies), and 10% of abusive or conning religious / organization leaders
Those not in leadership roles: 60% Prison Felons have and 9 of 10 crimes committed by Dark Disorder (we shorten to term, "psychopaths")

2 Key movies demonstrating Dark Disorder and it's dangerous outcome:
1. Movie, Judge Roy Cohn, Dark Disorder who was the spiritual father of Donald Trump
(see 10 articles on Cohn)
2. Avatar
Because there is Lack of Compassion:
Others are used, or killed, in real or symbolic ways:
1. used then "thrown under the bus"
2. used for sex then denigrated in pubic media to prevent her from releasing information and cause confusion
3. Justified killing, hangings, mob rule, genocide, of any "lesser" or "evil group"
4. Death by Marginalization
5. Soul Genocide
6. the Planet is only an object to be used, nature and species do not matter for today or tomorrow
There are hundreds of posts here on the Goals of the Psychopath, and these are discussed at length in each of the books on narcissism and psychopathy in the catalog tab above, because, knowing the goals of the psychopath is KEY to any understanding or dealing with. And, the goals of psychopaths are all the same: 1. While it looks like I'm a leader, savior, helper, or concerned, that is a shallow ruse or actor's skill to hide my true motives and goals. 2. Anything I do only serves me, in the long run: I ME MY MINE 3. Any friendship or contact is only something I use: all will be tossed away when they no longer serve my needs or some plan for PR or getting something 4. "Greenhorn Psychopaths" like to show off their goodies, but aged psychopaths like to hide it from view from the public so they don't know how much was amassed. These goodies all came about from "stealing from the poor to give to the rich", through such lifestyles like the oligarchs, Russian oligarchs. (in the topic cloud: theft stealing stealing from the poor gold bling mansions cars oligarch Russian oligarchy The Goals then, of the age regressed 17 year old are common to each, and are GREED and SERVES me only 1. wealth 2. bling 3. and competition with other psychopathic dictators or psychopathic moguls like the Koch Brothers: I have a better rare car collection than Putin does This might be a typical list if it were the teen boy of 17, narcissist and psychopath to become. 1. fast cars, mine is better than my friends who all have $$$$ cars 2. babes, arm candy: look at me, look what I got 3. cash 4. bling, gold plus a Ferrari watch or collection of 5. luxury jeans and other clothes 6. addrenalin events and socially connected parties 7. attention of others: the James Dean bad boy 8. style, look, the behavior, hair, etc, of that James Dean 9. likely smokes cigarettes for that bad boy style 10. low reading skills, low academic interest, few outside hobbies or interest 11. may get a pug or pitbull if it's a popular thing, but bonding with the pet is negligent 12. was a social bully, sexual use of others for own need 13. takes risks, impulsive, and may have list of minor crimes with police or schools There are more angry, abusive, and aggressive types too: 14. rage, fights, assaults 15. petty crime, theft, break and enter 16. ongoing bullying, starting gangs, torture (and early childhood abuse and torture of school kids, siblings and even parents, and animals) 17. angry destruction of property, spraying people with bleach in squirt guns, poisoning, trickery, stealing money or extracting a protection payment 18. having sex then "kiss and tell", boast to others, may have fathered children and abandons 19. may have been jailed 20. and, it you add to this meth use a lifetime criminal may be in the making: prison childhood alcohol use or teen daily drinking, all sorts of dangerous types may generate later due to child/teen brain development damage (for examples of this, see the topic cloud for movies on The Kray Brothers: killers Citizen Cohn: evil spiritual father for Donald Trump
Greed
I get, I steal, all for me
What others would you add? Please add those to the comment box below.....Thanks 1. wealth as judged by land ownership, multiple mansions, buildings 2. Gold in any form, but ingots, gold investment bars, and gold coins count. Anything trimmed or decorated in real gold (not gold foil) counts. Note: silver and platinum don't count: this is an ancient greed related to 4,000 human years of experience with gold as the "wealth standard". 3. luxury goods, such as.....and this is not a joke, the golden toilet, or hand carved wood decor in a home (see Ukraine mansion and Greed in the topic cloud below). 4. Babes, most with breast implants, serving two purposes: a. use as beauty "arm ornaments", "arm candy": look at me what I got b. uses as sexual contacts or potential sexual contacts (but note, the actual sexual prowess of the 17 year old boy boaster or psychopath is questionable and mostly talk: many narcissists and psychopaths experience their rarest feelings of inadequacy during sex and some may have erectile or other sexual performance problems (premature or delayed ejaculation), or low libido though they state they're some sexual "juggernaut". 5. Bling: the finest watch, pen, High end luxury goods, rarest booze, not just gourmet foods but rare foods 6. servants, or servile aids (at one time, called "slaves and butlers") 7. rare, and sometimes stolen goods: famous paintings, pottery, dinosaur bones, rare gems 8. rare cars, boats, jets 9. finest of occasions and vacation spots: Monte Carlo, Aspen, St. Moritz, etc. What others would you suggest for 10-20 based on what you know about psychopathic dictators? Please add below. Thanks! Psychopaths, Pirates, Vampires, and more:

Trump Crazy Train to Hell: "Transgender Ban Saving our Country"
It's a crazy train of spending by Trump, versus his propaganda about "saving Americans sooo much". Saving You MONEY:
First, this is important for all to know about Transgenders: LGTBQ lives are driven by brain and biological differences they were born with.
Scapegoating the innocent is a human trait, but ongoing deceit is a psychopathy trait
"The Transgender Ban is saving the military and America so much." Donald Trump Oct 29, 2017
How is it saving???? If transgenders are banned in recruitment to the military, other non-transgenders till have to be recruited. So, the only cost is that "transgender medical costs", he continues as false propaganda. Ultimately, this situation of the transgender ban was a ploy by Trump to shore up followers of the Alt Right Christian Fundamentalist group: his voters who already vilify, scapegoat, and marginalize gays. Trump's rallies with these groups always preceded actions against or comments against gays and transgenders. 1. first, the new Tax plan benefits his corporations and heirs, though the propaganda of the White House, Trump, and GOP reps tells the opposite and glowing story. Of the Republicans who have spoken out against Trump's lies this week, two of them have said the last two weeks, that the tax plan is a Con. 2. after remodeling the White House this summer, saying it was "so dirty", Trump authorized this week $1.5 for custom furniture. 3. after almost destroying Boeing Corporation for it's projected cost of building a new Air Force One, with new technologies for safety, (his criticism of costs caused Boeing stock to tumble), Trump authorized two weeks ago that the new jet actually be "upsized": any luxury or addition was ok'd carte blanche. One estimate is that the move by Trump would cost the billions for the jet, plus an additional $1.5 billion.
Now:
4. Transgenders: there are all types. Transgenders don't identify with full traditional male or female roles. A very few will pursue sex assignment surgery. Few, in fact this is said to cost the Military health costs around $700,000 a year. This was compared with the cost to the military for ED medications (ED: Viagra and Cialis for male erectile dysfunction) of $20 million a year! If you didn't know this about Transgenders in the Military: 1. they've always been in the military, though closeted 2. they've always worked hard and fought well, and now, they volunteer to be in the military 3. While transgenders, they may be aligned, for lack of our societies lack of decision on the terms as:
transgender
non-binary (meaning they don't identify fully with the current "two party system" of fully male role identified and fully female role identified
or just generically "gay" though that is also the term gay men use (it is used in two different contexts)
or lgtbq, lesbian gay transgender bisexual (who state they also don't identify with fully one or other sex and role identity roles), and "queer", which is a term for those: deciding, not fully identifying with the first four, or feeling they don't want boxed in by a sex role rule (sometimes persons not wanting boxed in may use queer or "non-binary"
What creates this "up to 10% of the population"?
We are just beginning to understand the differences in the brain that have caused LGTBQ's to have the sexual identities and drives that they have: What makes a young girl identify with a boy's lifestyle, clothing, and dress? What causes that transgender male in India to wear woman's clothing and identify more as a women? And, each case is different in the LGTBQ spectrum. But we know this: 1. This is biologically caused and is at minimum differences in the Brain and hormonal systems that are there at birth, and can be seen in Very early childhood 2. It is random, that all the LGTBQ "mixed salad" types occur in all places, all countries, at all times. It is even more present and random than other limiting human biological qualities that may be limited by some region or race: color of skin, hair color, height, etc. are less random than the LGTBQ mixed salad. And, this mix occurs in ALL places at all times, even if outlawed: the mix is the same, and the 6-10% percentage of ANY population or group of people is the same in
Riyadh
Calcutta
Adrian, Oregon
Havana
Mexico City
Dallas or Houston Texas
So why don't you "see" these LGTBQ people when you're out and about? 1. they blend in 2. or hide their identify to not be marginalized or killed (see posts here in the alphabetical cloud archive below:
lgtbq
homophobic trump
homophobic homosexuals, Roy Cohn spirtiial mentor of Donald Trump
hangings
beheading
marginalization
scapegoating)
If 10% of all populations are LGTBQ, how'd you come up with that? This % of 10%: actual research found that 6% of the population can be documented as LGTBQ, but there are those closeted or deciding their "identity"". There are also young persons confused by it all, and still identify as straight. Many persons then may not identify as LGTBQ, but the estimate of the 6% identified and the 4% not reporting adds up to 10%. Example: Harold is typical for my area of Boise, Idaho. A Mormon, Harold at age 35 was married "correctly" as his church required: after his Mormon mission to Brazil, Denver, or the Ukraine, Harold married his wife withing 6 months of return. The two then started having children, "releasing souls from Heaven to enter human bodies". Harold now, has occasional clandestine homosexual contacts, though he maintains a good Mormon Standing. His Church, which in all of the last 3 years has issued edicts condemning homosexuals gives him little option: to come "out" Harold faces a divorce, and not excommunication: It seemed that the Mormon Church was making concessions toward gays in 2014 to 2016. It was speculated they might later accept gays fulling into their congregations. Early statements said the church would not have a judgmental attitude toward gays, and show some "tolerance and inclusion". But, later, a Church edict was issued:
only "not sexually inactive homosexuals supportive of the homosexual ban would be allowed in the church, and tolerance and inclusion was degraded: any gay married person, outspoken gay, sexually active gay, or child of under age 18 parented by an "identified gay" would not be allowed to join the church and current members in that state would be excommunicated.
LDS Mormon Groups hoping to create some bridge between their gay children and the church had their dreams dashed, then the dream died this year fully: the Church would not reconcile with gays, tolerate gays or that lifestyle in any way. This opened the LDS church up to: 1. stopping all Gay reconciliation groups, website, books, etc. Even authors would be stopped 2. those identified as LGTBQ were essentially returned to the old "no gays at all" or pre-year 2000. 3. Excommunication from the Church would be the response 4. Church history on Gay members and leaders would be again suppressed and researchers or authors excommunicated
And in a related move:
5. The Church would sever it's ties with the Boy Scouts of America. The LDS Church was the first church or organization to become a Boy Scout of America "partner" over a hundred years ago, and LDS Churches (Wards) based the life of teen boys on Scouting. When the Boy Scouts of America finalized their decision to allow girls, transgenders, and gays into the Scouts "because the parents of America requested that", the Church finalized it's moves of severing ties, and has it's own Youth activity group to replace Scouts. Note, it will be an interesting process this last year to see how the LDS Church fully divests of BSA, because there are mutual buildings, staff, and Scout Camps and Parks funded or mutually owned by the Church and BSA. "The Transgender Ban is saving soooo much money, helping our military, Helping out country". When are churches, church doctrines and organizations psychopathic? It occurs worldwide, more often than you think. a note from Scooter X: "We're not anti-any church here in any way. We like to support people and encourage the soul and spiritual life, however you/they define that. But, we are against religious leaders, political religious cults like Trump is promoting, and churches that have traits of psychopathy. Parallel traits lists are "cult traits": (see our posts in the topic cloud below: when men feel they are saviors)
