let the record show that FALLON AMARIN was read their rights before the interview proceeded. FALLON AMARIN DID NOT CHOOSE to proceed with a lawyer present at their discretion.
spidery fingers crawled underneath the approaching-shoulder cut of fresh blackened hair, palming a '13' permanently stenciled into the back of fallon's neck under the guise of alleviating an ache borne of agitation for the current setting. incidentally, she had only ever stepped foot inside a police station in order to usher another out — now it seemed her luck had finally run dry.
please state your legal name for the record.
the urge to bite was only abated by the faces of the investigators ( two of them, sure to be more ) as they loomed over her seated stature. don't you already know who i am? merely became, "fallon amarin. no middle name."
can you account for your whereabouts on the evening of june 10th, 2023?
a shrug, momentary lapse of a tongue running over teeth. she tossed her head in the direction of the case file on their side of the brutalist-styled table that she presumed already had records of her whereabouts. "probably working. take your pick: the black dog motel or the scaredy cat club's liquor store. then home."
why did you volunteer to join in on providing supplies for the search parties? do you have a personal connection with ms. cho-iverson?
arms crossed defensively, earthen eyes fluttering up at the faces she would surely forget after this was all over and done with. "what, you think i did it? i don't know this chick from the next asshole on the street. i helped out in any way i could because there was finally something to do about the shit your sorry excuse for a 'serve and protect' force keeps failing to prevent. even your search parties wound up with injuries — should've been your overfunded and under-skilled fuckers out there!"
ms. amarin, are you aware that you have eyewitness accounts placing you on the scene for the past six months that anchorage has recorded harrowing events?
hands flew into the air in a display of utter disbelief, one falling to slap the table with a crack of skin that unfortunately did not serve to flinch either of the investigators. "no shit, i fucking live here. you gonna interrogate the rest of anchorage with that astounding evidence? jesus..."
can you explain the presence of your creation that won the competition last december, found at the scene of the crime on december 31st, 2022? we have reason to believe that you crossed paths with ms. cho-iverson on the scene.
it was as though they plucked a taut, exposed nerve just to toy with fallon. synapses were fast, and she recognized that her spare second of hesitance trying to regain her composure looked suspicious. it wasn't her fault. they were staring at her for too long, they weren't even blinking. there were sure to be more spectating behind the two-way mirror, and she had to keep from glancing over her shoulder at them. "someone's fucking with me. i made that stupid snowman because i thought it'd be funny to scare kids at the competition. i have no clue how it ended up at the winery — and if you saw how i was dressed, which i'm sure you did, it wouldn't have made sense for me to bring it. it would've been messy, i would've been too cold, and—" shit shit shit SHIT. she said too much. she opted out of a lawyer because she didn't need to defend herself. she did nothing wrong. ( this time. ) but she wasn't a rat, not in the sense of selling out the people she cared about. yet, she slipped up with no one to stop her, and she looked between the two investigators honing in on that fact. "— i was with someone. when it all went down. occupied. but you're not gonna get a name out of me because you're not going to bring her into this. if you fucks are going to pin this shit on me, you're not going to put this on her."
your landlord has informed us you've been largely absent from your apartment since the incident on december 31st. is there something we would find there if we searched the premises?
"a dog i've rehabilitated that will still bite your dick off if i'm not there. and i swear to whatever, if you kill my dog, i will sue your asses personally until you've got nothing left." that was good, threatening a lawsuit. it was better than what her gut usually went with: promising murder. but there was a bigger problem dawning in the recesses of her mind. cerberus aside... there was plenty they could discover if they got the warrant. none that would lead them to the current murder, of course. however, copious amounts of drugs both personal and with intent to sell through the gang's dealers, illegal weaponry, and random stolen goods cyrek trusted to her discretion would be more than enough to put her away.
a picture is presented from the crime scene of a crude drawing in the victim's blood, a rat holding a knife in its mouth: can you confirm this is identical to a tattoo of yours listed as an identifying mark in your medical records?
leaning forward as the glossed photo slid into view, fallon swallowed. there was no point in lying. they made the point they had medical records irrevocably stating her tattoos. and it did look eerily similar to the one atticus had done on her right hip in about the size of a palm. all she did was nod.
on the evening of june 10th, were you intoxicated with illegal substances or dangerous amounts of alcohol when you were seen leaving the seal harbor apartments?
sitting back in her chair, fallon shrugged again, still swallowing thickly around the implications placed against her. "no." at least, not intoxicated with dangerous levels. "not when leaving the apartments. i do like to have a couple beers after work." with a bump of coke in the bathroom.
we've obtained a warrant on reasonable suspicion that we are entitled to a blood test for drugs and alcohol in your system, and we'd like to obtain a urine test as well. depending on the results of the tests, we'll proceed from there. we'll also be confiscating the weapons and illegal contraband we found. this concludes our interview.
the last thing fallon wanted to do was act nonchalant. briefly, a vision flitted in her frontal lobe of leaping from the table and strangling these deadbeats, teeth gnashing like a cornered wolf set free and prepared to rip them asunder. in reality, she rolled her eyes and sighed, waving a hand as if their information was all complimentary and pointless. on the contrary... she knew she was done for.

On this date in music history…the important stuff anyway…
April 29th
1963 - The Rolling Stones
Publicist Andrew Oldham and agent Eric Easton signed a management deal with The Rolling Stones after buying the rights to the bands first recordings for £90. They also persuade keyboard player Ian Stewart to drop out of the line up and become the bands road manager, (and still play piano at the back of the stage).
1965 - Jimmy Nicol
Jimmy Nicol, the drummer who stood in for Ringo Starr during a Beatles Australian tour in 1964, appeared in a London Court faced with bankruptcy with debts of £4,000.
1967 - Technicolour Dream Benefit Party
The 14 hour Technicolour Dream benefit party for The International Times was held at Alexandra Palace in London. Seeing the event mentioned on TV, John Lennon called his driver and went to the show. Coincidentally, Yoko Ono was one of the performers. Other acts to appear included The Flies, Pink Floyd, Arthur Brown, The Move and Suzie Creamcheese.
1976 - Bruce Springsteen
After a gig in Memphis Bruce Springsteen took a cab to Elvis Presley's Graceland home and proceeded to climb over the wall. A guard took him to be another crank fan and apprehended him.
1980 - Ronnie James Dio
Black Sabbath began their first tour with vocalist Ronnie James Dio, who had replaced Ozzy Osbourne.
1990 - The Friends of Distinction
Floyd Butler of The Friends of Distinction, died of a heart attack at the age of 49. Had the US No.3 single 'Grazing In The Grass' in 1969.
1993 - Mick Ronson
Guitarist, producer, Mick Ronson died of liver cancer aged 46. Ronson recorded and toured with David Bowie from 1970 to 1973. Released the 1974 solo album 'Slaughter On Tenth Avenue'. Ronson co-produced Lou Reed's album Transformer, also part of Hunter Ronson Band with Ian Hunter. And worked with Morrissey, Slaughter & The Dogs, The Wildhearts, The Rich Kids, Elton John, Johnny Cougar, T-Bone Burnett.
1997 - Keith Ferguson
American bass guitarist Keith Ferguson died of liver failure at the age of 50, due in part to a nearly thirty-year addiction to heroin. He was a member of The Fabulous Thunderbirds who had two hit songs in the 1980s, 'Tuff Enuff' and 'Wrap It Up.'
1998 - Aerosmith
Steven Tyler broke his knee at a concert in Anchorage, Alaska delaying Aerosmith's 'Nine Lives' tour and necessitating camera angle adjustments for the filming of the video for 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing.'
2001 - Rod Stewart
Rod Stewart asked for a change in wedding vows bringing them up to-date and to be treated like a dog licence. Stewart said 'a change is needed because they've been in existence for 600 years when people used to live until they were only 35'.
2001 - Dusty Springfield
A blue plaque was unveiled at 38 Aubrey Walk, Kensington, London to honor the musical heritage of the address where British singer Dusty Springfield lived between 1968-1972.
2003 - Creedence Clearwater Revival
A $5 million lawsuit against former Creedence Clearwater Revival leader John Fogerty was dismissed after a personal-injury lawyer claimed that he suffered hearing loss in his left ear from attending a Fogerty concert. The Judge said the plaintiff assumed the risk of hearing damage when he attended the concert in 1997.
2009 - Queen
An anonymous Queen fan won a two-hour one-to-one guitar lesson with Brian May, after bidding £7,600 (approximately $11,900) at a private charity auction. The auction, in support of the Action for Brazil's Children Trust, of which May is a patron, was held at the exclusive Cuckoo Club in London.
2014 - Jail Guitar Doors
David Gilmour, former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and Radiohead's Ed O'Brien and Philip Selway all signed an open letter, published by The Guardian, to keep musical instruments available to UK prisoners. Spearheaded by Billy Bragg, the singer-songwriter founded an "independent initiative" called Jail Guitar Doors in 2007 to provide instruments for the rehabilitation of inmates.

4, 7, 12, 15 for Nora!!!
FALLOUT ASKS
4. Does your character prefer high-tech or low-tech solutions to problems?
While high-tech solutions to problems are few and far between in post-apocalyptic Boston, Nora can’t deny the thrill she gets when some wild idea they have for a solution to a settlement’s problem actually works. It’s exciting to her, a notorious problem-solver, and if they can make life out here easier by tinkering around with a few generators every now and then? She’ll leap at the chance.
7. How does your character express anger? Do they have a short temper, do they bury their rage until they burst, or can they handle it well?
Nora has, as her mother used to say, “the patience of a saint”. Keeping her cool was necessary in her line of work, never letting her opponents in the courtroom get the better of her or her clients. Even now, with her lawyer days long behind her, she remains stoic in the face of trouble… for the most part. Certain things will always make that perfectly composed mask of calmness slip, be it raiders hurting those she loves, parents neglecting their children, friends betraying friends. And when it does? You best hope you’re on her side…
12. What are your character’s opinions on war? Is it something necessary or barbaric, or both? Do they believe in noble conflict or the existence of “a good war?
Nora hates war for what it did to the world, her family, and herself. It’s certainly easy for her to think that now, what with the world forever changed by conflict, but those seeds of doubt were always there; she’d hate the way Nate would come home plagued by nightmares, how he wasn’t offered a shred of peace from them until his injury meant he physically couldn’t go back to Anchorage and the army had no choice but to send him home. She’s watched war tear those she loves apart and burn down the world she knew; to her, there’s no such thing as a good war anymore.
15. What is your character’s most prized possession, and where do they keep it?
Photographs, letters, and mementos have always been important to Nora. Their photo albums would keep her going when Nate was deployed for months on end, poring over the little snippets of their lives together, of happy, carefree times. She’d amassed quite the collection over the years, all stored away safely in the steamer trunk at the foot of their bed. After the bombs fall and she leaves the vault, it’s one of the first things she looks for, relieved to see the trunk still sitting there (albeit a little more damaged than she left it). Those albums, that were already special before, become even more important to her now after… everything. She keeps them safe in her home where they belong… with the exception of one particular photo of Nate, which is always on her person no matter what as she traverses this strange new world.
(He teases her for it relentlessly for it after they’re reunited, of course, but he can’t deny that particular discovery made his heart clench.)

Vaccine makers shielded from all liability as adverse reactions pile up
The potential health risks linked to fast-tracking vaccines loom large. On December 18, some 3 150 vaccine recipients had reported “Health Impact Events” according to the US CDC. This was from only 272 001 doses of the vaccine administered as of December 19. Published: December 21, 2020, 8:52 am
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a “Health Impact Event” means that someone is “unable to perform normal daily activities, unable to work, required care from doctor or health care professional”. The information was revealed by Dr. Thomas Clark, a CDC epidemiologist on the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, an independent panel that provides recommendations to the CDC.
Incidentally, the mRNA vaccines must be given twice, and the interval between the two doses is about three weeks. So one has a double risk of side effects.
At least five healthcare workers in Alaska experienced adverse reactions after getting the Pfizer vaccine, the Anchorage Daily News reported. One recipient, a nurse at the Bartlett Regional Hospital required emergency treatment for at least two nights.
An Illinois hospital halted vaccinations after four workers suffered adverse reactions.
The Washington Post quoted doctor and study participant David Yamane. He reported chills and headaches and having been so tired that he fell asleep on the couch in the afternoon and only woke up the next day bathed in sweat. “These symptoms are no joke,” the medical professional told the newspaper.
The reported allergic reactions that occurred in some are even more dangerous. They can show up in the form of rashes, but they can also cause shortness of breath and become life-threatening. It is believed that this reaction is caused by the nanoparticles in the lipid shell that surrounds the actual ingredient according to Dr. Peter Marks, the director of Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research.
Four cases of facial paralysis also occurred when tested with the Biontech/Pfizer vaccine. The placebo group, i.e. those who received an ineffective injection instead of the vaccine, was not affected.
The most common short term – not long term – side effects that vaccine producer Moderna reported to the FDA were:
Injection site reaction in 91,6 percent of patients Fatigue in 68,5 percent of patients Headache in 63 percent of patients Muscle pain in 59,6 percent of patients Joint pain in 44,8 percent of patients Chills in 43,4 percent of patients
Some have even argued that the Covid-19 vaccine could kill 8-16 times more senior Americans compared to no vaccine at all.
In October this year, US Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar said a countermeasures fund should cover injuries from Covid-19 vaccines, giving drug companies complete immunity from potential liability lawsuits.
But as the Wall Street Journal reported, the fund is not remedy for the American public. According to lawyers and vaccine experts, since it began processing claims, the fund has paid out $6 million on 29 claims, averaging $207 000 per person, compared with $585 000 on average per person for an older vaccine injury fund.
The new fund has an almost impossible threshold for proving a relationship between an injury and the vaccine, experts say. The newer fund also has a shorter statute of limitations, no avenue for appeals and does not pay damages for pain or suffering. It was set up in 2010 to cover harm resulting from vaccines for a flu pandemic, or drugs to treat an anthrax or Ebola outbreak.
In November, India and South Africa approached the World Trade Organization (WTO) to waive patent protections for Big Pharma’s vaccine roll-out. Both countries said they wanted to ensure that poor countries had equal access.
“There are several reports about intellectual property rights hindering or potentially hindering timely provisioning of affordable medical products,” India and South Africa maintained. They were backed by Pakistan, Argentina and Venezuela and many US nonprofit activists.
The Trump Administration’s Operation Warp Speed has spent more than $10 billion to advance vaccine clinical trials, manufacturing and distribution, according to the WSJ.
