Why People Enjoy Using Apple CarPlay
In today’s world, staying connected while on the move is more important than ever for drivers. Apple CarPlay has emerged as a popular solution for drivers who want to integrate their iPhone’s functionality with their vehicle’s infotainment system. This technology has garnered a loyal following for several reasons, including its ease of use, safety features, and seamless integration with other Apple products.
Ease of Use
One of the primary reasons people enjoy using CarPlay is its user-friendly interface. Designed to mirror the familiar iOS environment, CarPlay allows users to access their favorite apps, make calls, send texts, and navigate using Apple Maps or other compatible navigation apps. The intuitive design means that even those who are not tech-savvy can quickly learn to use CarPlay without a steep learning curve.
Safety Features
Safety is a paramount concern for drivers, and CarPlay addresses this by minimizing distractions. By enabling hands-free control through Siri, drivers can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel. Voice commands allow users to make calls, send messages, and get directions without having to touch their phone. This hands-free functionality significantly reduces the risk of accidents caused by distracted driving.
Seamless Integration
CarPlay’s seamless integration with other Apple products is another reason for its popularity. Users can access their Apple Music playlists, podcasts, and audiobooks directly from the CarPlay interface. Additionally, CarPlay supports third-party apps like Spotify, Waze, and WhatsApp, providing a comprehensive in-car experience that caters to various needs and preferences.
Car Models with Apple CarPlay
Since its introduction in 2014, CarPlay has been adopted by a wide range of car manufacturers. As of 2024, over 800 car models support CarPlay, making it easier than ever to find a vehicle that offers this feature. Here are some notable brands and models that come equipped with CarPlay:
Acura: MDX, RDX, TLX
Alfa Romeo: Giulia, Stelvio
Audi: A3, A4, Q5, Q7
BMW: 3 Series, 5 Series, X3, X5
Chevrolet: Camaro, Colorado, Silverado, Tahoe
Ford: F-150, Mustang, Explorer
Honda: Accord, Civic, CR-V, Pilot
Hyundai: Elantra, Sonata, Tucson
Mercedes-Benz: C-Class, E-Class, GLE
Toyota: Camry, Corolla, RAV4, Highlander
Volkswagen: Golf, Jetta, Passat, Tiguan
This extensive list demonstrates the widespread adoption of CarPlay across various segments, from luxury vehicles to more affordable options.
Benefits of CarPlay for Drivers
CarPlay offers numerous benefits that enhance the driving experience, making it a valuable addition to any vehicle. Here are some of the key advantages:
Enhanced Navigation
CarPlay provides access to Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze, offering drivers multiple options for navigation. These apps provide real-time traffic updates, alternative routes, and estimated arrival times, helping drivers reach their destinations more efficiently. The ability to use voice commands for navigation further enhances safety by allowing drivers to keep their focus on the road.
Improved Communication
Staying connected while driving is crucial, and CarPlay makes it easy to communicate without compromising safety. Drivers can use Siri to make calls, send texts, and listen to voicemails. The integration with messaging apps like WhatsApp and iMessage ensures that drivers can stay in touch with friends and family without having to pick up their phone.
Entertainment Options
CarPlay transforms the in-car entertainment experience by providing access to a wide range of audio content. Users can listen to their favorite music, podcasts, and audiobooks through apps like Apple Music, Spotify, and Audible. The ability to control these apps using voice commands or the car’s touchscreen ensures that drivers can enjoy their preferred content without distractions.
Consistent Updates
One of the significant advantages of CarPlay is that it benefits from regular updates from Apple. These software updates often include new features, improved functionality, and enhanced security measures. As a result, CarPlay users can enjoy a continually improving experience without needing to upgrade their vehicle’s hardware.
Customization and Personalization
CarPlay allows users to customize their in-car experience to suit their preferences. Drivers can rearrange app icons on the CarPlay home screen, choose their preferred navigation app, and select their favorite music streaming service. This level of personalization ensures that each driver can tailor CarPlay to meet their specific needs.
Conclusion
Apple CarPlay has revolutionized the way drivers interact with their vehicles, offering a seamless and intuitive interface that enhances safety, communication, and entertainment. Its widespread adoption across various car models and continuous updates from Apple ensure that CarPlay remains a valuable feature for modern drivers. Whether you’re navigating through busy city streets, staying connected with loved ones, or enjoying your favorite music on a long drive, CarPlay provides a comprehensive solution that makes driving more enjoyable and convenient.
By integrating the power of your iPhone with your car’s infotainment system, CarPlay truly lives up to its promise of being the ultimate copilot. As technology continues to evolve, we can expect CarPlay to introduce even more features that will further enhance the driving experience, making it an indispensable tool for drivers around the world.

BAE Vantare V12 (1 of 10).
British Automotive Engineering (BAE) is currently working on a new Bond-style sports car in Essex, Great Britain. Of course, it will be a grand tourer with a V12 under the hood. To avoid having to start on a blank sheet of paper, the BAE team led by actor and TV presenter Bradley Walsh looked around intensively and finally selected a good existing base. This comes from the Aston Martin DB9, which rolled off the production line at Gaydon between 2004 and 2016. By using base cars that have already been approved, it is possible to concentrate on other things that have to be developed. Only the roof and windows remain from the original body. All other body parts are given a new look in the style of classic sports cars, such as those driven by Sean Connery as James Bond 007. State-of-the-art hybrid materials such as carbon fiber composite are used for this purpose.
An the end, the newly created vehicle goes by the name of Vantare and is limited to just ten units. All upcoming owners will be able to configure their respective cars completely freely. In addition to colors for the paint and interior, this also includes mechanical upgrades that provide more power. Without these modifications, the six-liter V12 with automatic transmission already ensures that the Vantare accelerates from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and on to a topspeed in excess of 180 mph. Leather upholstery is available in a choice of smooth or suede and in modern or classic colors. There are also polished aluminium elements and hand-finished exposed carbon trim. Standard equipment also includes an advanced infotainment system with nine-inch touchscreen display, navigation system, DAB radio as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Spotify is facing continued backlash over its decision to discontinue support for Car Thing, its in-car streaming device, announced earlier in May. The device will no longer work starting on December 9, 2024, the company said. On TikTok, Gen Z users are posting videos to express their discontent with Spotify’s move and its recommended actions — like switching to Android Auto or CarPlay. Often, they didn’t have access to built-in infotainment systems in their car in the first place, making them a target market for a dedicated player like Car Thing, the users note. The streaming service’s in-car gadget hadn’t been out on the market long enough to make it obsolete. It launched in February 2022 and was discontinued later that same year but with promises to keep it operational for those who already bought units. Ahead of its launch, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek had suggested there was consumer demand for such a product, telling investors on an earnings call that more than 2 million users had signed up on the Car Thing waitlist in anticipation of its release.

Tata Curvv SUV Unveiled – All Key Features & Launch Details
The much-awaited Tata Curvv has finally been unveiled in its close-to-production avatar for the Indian market. The carmaker says that it merges “the toughness and durability of an SUV with an elegant and sporty silhouette of a Coupe”. It will be the first mass-market coupe SUV from the home-grown automaker that will come with both ICE (internal combustion engine) and electric powertrains.
he electric iteration of the Curvv underpins the brand’s new Acti.ev architecture and features signature split LED headlamp clusters, a new grille with piano black and body color finish, bumper-integrated fog lamps, larger air intake, and a pronounced faux skid plate at the front.
The interior of the coupe SUV will share features with the Harrier and Safari. It will have a 10.25-inch screen setup for the instrument cluster and digital dials, a floating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a Harrier-like two-spoke steering wheel, Head-Up Display, ventilated front seats, an electric parking brake, wireless charger, connected car features, dual-zone climate control, and a 360-degree camera. The higher trims will be offered with some exclusive amenities such as a panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS tech.
Specifications of the Tata Curvv EV are yet to be revealed. However, the electric SUV is likely to deliver a range of around 450km – 500km. The SUV’s ICE version will use Tata’s new 125bhp, 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and Nexon’s 1.5L, 4-cylinder diesel engines. It’s also reported to be offered with a CNG fuel option at a later stage.
The Tata SUV-coupe’s back feels tall and the boot lid is positioned a lot higher than the bonnet, which has likely been done to increase the luggage space on offer (422 litres claimed).
Its key styling detail here is the wraparound and connected LED tail lights. The tall bumper – having a faux skid plate with silver finish at the bottom – mimics the split-headlight setup, which is replaced by the reflectors and reversing lamps here.

Which One To Choose: Nissan Juke vs. Nissan Qashqai
Choosing between the Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Juke is a hard decision, but hopefully, this helpful guide will sort you out
Nissan’s two mighty small SUVs have been among the most popular models sold in ever since they graced our roads.
Not just because their looks shocked the average person because they were so angular and so not British, but because they were actually good. Really good.
But which is right for you? Hopefully, our comparison review will help you to make a sensible and informed decision.
Styling
You wouldn’t be wrong for thinking the Nissan Juke for sale is a spaceship at first glance.
Ever since it came out back in 2010, this small crossover has been the car of choice for small families and those wanting to experience the world of SUVs without getting a really big car.
What makes the Juke so popular is its size and vast familiarity. It’s on the same level as a Ford Fiesta or Mini Cooper when it comes to recognition, which has really helped the brand become popular over here.
On the other hand, the Qashqai comes across as a more serious version of the Juke. Not only is it a larger car, sitting in Nissan’s model line-up as a fully-fledged SUV, but it also feels more grown-up.
The most recent generation comes with more chrome body parts, higher-quality trim and an overall better interior. But it’s also available in some bright colours, so it’s not all that serious.
What are they like to drive?
If you’re looking at buying a small crossover or SUV then there’s no doubt you’re after a smooth and easy ride.
Well, thankfully both the Juke and Qashqai offer just that.
Nissan’s Juke SUV for sale is a very easy and fuel-efficient car to drive.
Because of the raised driving position, it’s even easier to see what’s in front of you – and that can be really helpful when navigating tight roads or reversing into a parking space.
Early versions were available with both petrol and diesel engines, but newer models only come with the former – which we’d say is the better engine choice for this car anyway.
Like the Juke, the Qashqai benefits from a higher driving position but it takes it one step further with a really great suspension setup, which ensures the car is really smooth over bumpy surfaces.
It’s quiet too, despite having either a petrol or diesel engine under the bonnet.
But out of all the choices on offer, the smaller engine is the more desirable, mainly because it’s smoother, happier to rev, quieter and more economical.
Interior and technology
With both these cars being Nissans, you can expect their interiors to be somewhat similar.
Both cars feature the brand’s NissanConnect infotainment system which is easy to use and crisp to view.
Newer Juke and Qashqai models get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto too, if you don’t fancy using the car’s system and just want to hook your phone up.
There are many trim levels available on Juke models, including the Visia trim that gets you air-con, sports seats and six airbags.
Moving up is the Acenta, which has Bluetooth, a USB port and climate control.
Tekna+ models get a DAB radio, air-con, cruise control, heated front seats, climate control and more – it’s really all you need.
The Qashqai is also available with a variety of trim levels, ranging from the Visia to the top-spec Premiere Edition.
But no matter which one you opt for, you won’t be disappointed because the interior quality is on a par with its German alternatives.
Boot space and practicality
If boot space and practicality are what you desire, then you'll admire the Qashqai.
Being a full-size SUV, you expect there to be plenty of space back there – and there is.
Its boot measures in at 504 litres, growing to 1,447 litres with the rear seats folded flat.
On top of this, there’s lots of space available for backseat passengers and plenty of cupholders and storage solutions too.
But just because the Juke is smaller doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not big enough.
In fact, it’s far from it. Its boot measures in at 422 litres, which is impressive for a small crossover SUV, and rear legroom isn’t too compromised.
Sure, it’s not as roomy as its larger sibling, but it’s still plenty for most people.
Safety and reliability
Being a well-established Japanese brand, both these Nissans are going to be very reliable cars.
All of the petrol and diesel engines used are really solid and will continue to run smoothly for many, many miles to come.
In terms of safety, both the Juke and larger Qashqai scored a full five marks following their most recent Euro NCAP crash testing.
This also showed great adult and child passenger safety scores – perfect for family cars.
Dimensions:
Nissan Juke
Length: 4210mm
Width: 1800mm
Height: 1577mm
Boot space: 422 litres
Find a used Nissan Juke in South Africa.
Nissan Qashqai
Length: 4425mm
Width: 1835mm
Height: 1625mm
Boot space: 504 litres
Verdict: Nissan Juke vs Nissan Qashqai: which should you buy?
When it comes down to it, either way you go, you won’t be disappointed.
We’re sure you’ve come to a conclusion yourself after reading this, but if not, perhaps our verdict will help.
We’d recommend choosing the Nissan Juke if you’re after something that’s nimble, not too big and sits nice and high on the road.
After all, there’s nothing worse than feeling cramped and small on a big motorway.
However, if you’d rather have more space and extra practicality, then the Qashqai is by far the better choice.
This is a full-sized SUV that offers great levels of safety, is reliable and fits most families really well.
Have you ever seen a Qashqai and Doctor Who’s Tardis in the same room? No, because they are both the same practical vehicle.
