A DAY IN BALI
Bali in Indonesia, the most popular destination in the islands. Even though, being small in size, it offers various activities to the tourists widely.
A well planned one-day itinerary is enough to see a bit of this beautiful island.
Tegalalang Rice terraces
Tegalalang Rice terraces are one of the most liked destinations on the island for travelers. If you have browsed for Bali, definitely you could’ve seen these incredible green rice paddies.
The Tegalalang Rice Terraces are located north of Ubud. The Tegalalang village is just half an drive from Ubud. The centuries old, complex irrigation system is maintained with the whole community out there in the village, lending a hand. They allow tourists to ambush the terrace at free of cost.
Monkey Forest
The Monkey Temple or Monkey Forest, an highly visited point of interest, which is a home for hundreds of monkeys. The interiors of the temples are not open, but the public can wander around the grounds. More than temples, the friendly inhabitants draw more crowds to the forest.
Udub Market
The Ubud Market or Ubud Art Market, has both tchotchkes, which are cheap, and practical mementos, that you can use back home.
If you’re looking for outdoor shopping in Bali, then this is the place for you. Give a one hour time to purchase, if you’re not, just wander the market. Market is lively, chaotic, noisy and packed with batik fabrics, hand-woven bags, baskets, sarongs and other handicrafts.
Udub Palace
The Ubud Palace is located in Central Ubud, and just minutes walk from Udub Market. This is a free activity, while it’s not Bali’s biggest tourist attraction. But, you can try for its architecture and walk through the gardens.
Like the Monkey Temple, Ubud Palace is also not open to the public, fully. The façade and gardens are only open, which makes for beautiful backgrounds for photographs.
Taman Ayun Temple
The Taman Ayun Temple – This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the biggest attractions in Bali and a must-see Bali Destination. The unique architecture is never to be missed and don’t miss a calm walk in the garden.
The only drawback of this attraction is that it doesn’t offer much shade in sun light. If you’re visiting at noon, it’s good to have extra water and sunscreen.
Tanah Lot
Kanyakumari in India is famous for seeing Sunrise. Bali in Indonesia is for Sunset. But here, seeing the sunset over tanah lot is the attraction. That’s a blissful experience not to be missed.
This sea temple stands on a rock in the ocean. A stone pathway is there from shore, but during high waves, the water rises to surround the temple completely.
Dinner at Bollywood Indian Cuisine
This Indian Restaurant, Bollywood Indian Cuisine, functioning in Bali, Kuta and Seminyak, has the same art of Indian culinary in Indonesia. This Indian restaurant in Bali, offers various regional and traditional cuisine of India, which is not to be missed, when you’re away from your home.
