Switch your shampoo schedule to a week and a half or two weeks if washing your curls weekly feels like overdrying. Please do not stick to a regimen because it is highly recommended on the internet but because it keeps your curls healthy. Also, note that sulphate-free products tend to keep your hair fresh for longer.

Great Hammerhead
Tumblr media
Diet
A Great Hammerheads diet is comprised of a wide variety of animals. These sharks are opportunistic apex predators. They feed on invertebrates such as crabs, octopus, lobster, squid and bony fish like catfish, tarpons, groupers, sardines and porcupine fish. They also eat smaller species of hammerhead.
While they have a diverse diet, their favored meals are stingrays! They're able to find the stingray using the electro receptive organs in their cephalofoil and they attack it by pinning down the ray with its head while feeding on the wings.
Habitat
The great hammerhead is found throughout the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans. They are also found in the Mediterranean Sea. They migrate seasonally, in the summer they head towards the poles in search for cooler water and in the winter they migrate back towards the equator in search of warmer water.
Species
There are a total of 10 species of hammerhead (This video is mainly about great hammerheads But I thought I should include a species slide^^)
1. Great hammerhead
2. Smooth hammerhead
3. Scalloped hammerhead
4. Scalloped bonnethead
5. Winghead shark
6. Scoop head shark
7. Bonnet head shark 8. Small eye hammerhead 9. Carolina hammerhead
10. Whitefin
Shark finning
shark finning is a problem that affects not just hammerheads, but many other sharks. Great Hammerheads just happen to be vulnerable to shark finning due to their large fin size. Shark finning is when a shark is caught, their fins are cut off, and then they re usually thrown back into the ocean to drown and suffocate. 73 million sharks are killed each year for shark fin soup. It is illegal in the us but other countries do not have laws against it. A way that we can help save sharks is to stop buying shark products! Here is a tiny list of things that could possibly contain shark.
Garden fertilizer
Hair dye+ shampoo
Skin lotion
Souvenirs (shark teeth)
Lip balm
unfortunately I am not sure of the brands that use shark so I can't tell you which ones to not buy from: (
Conservation
Great hammerheads are listed as globally critically endangered on the IUCN Red list. They are vulnerable to overfishing and are threatened by the global shark fin trade because of the large size of their fins. The skin of this shark can also be used for leather and its liver for rich vitamin oils. Over 90% of Hammerheads die once they are captured by targeted fisheries. They are endangered in the Gulf of Mexico, North West Atlantic, and in the South West Indian Ocean. Great Hammerheads unfortunately do not reproduce often so they are not quick to recover after overfishing.
(I made this for anyone who prefers the info this way)

Sunday Steve - Day Eight
Things that would be new or unfamiliar to Steve in the 21st century, either due to the time period he grew up in, or his social-economic status and other such factors.
Day Eight: Shampoo and Conditioner
Shampoo: The origins of the word shampoo comes from an Indian hair and body massage called champooi/champo.
In the late 1800s and early 1900s shampoo was a water soluble, dry shampoo powder that would be dissolved by the teaspoon in a cup of hot water (Link). Shampoo could also come as bars of soap, which could lather or be grated and dissolved into boiling water and left to cool and solidify.
A 1908 New York Times shampoo guide claims "hair is best shampooed at night, following thorough combing and brushing, and singeing split ends. Castile soap is applied with a stiff brush and rinsed four times every month to six weeks." (Link)
Bathing had become more and more common as part of the hygiene routine in the early 1900s, but shampooing was generally recommended every two weeks—or every four to six weeks (preferably using castile soap or tar soap) because shampoo was known for drying out and damaging hair. (Link)
While at-home shampooing was slowly becoming more common, it was more common—for those who could afford it—to get it commercially done. Most shampoo ads were targeted towards women, but men in barbershops "transitioned from using hair tonics to using shampoos to remove the build-up of heavy styling products" (Link).
The liquid shampoo first really started hitting the market in 1927. So by the 30s at-home shampooing became even more common. This is due to a combination of most Americans have in-house plumbing, their own bathrooms, and the shampoo formulas becoming less harsh and drying. The combination of all this meant one could wash their hair every week. (Link) (Every day shampooing began to be marketed in the 70s since oily hairstyles were out of fashion.)
Liquid shampoos were sold in glass bottles, while powdered shampoos came in tins.
Tumblr media
Bottles of shampoo and lotions manufactured in the early 20th century by the C.L. Hamilton Co. of Washington, D.C., United States
It wasn't until 1934 that detergent-based (no-soap, modern) shampoos came onto the market (Link).
Sarah Rogers likely wouldn't have been able to afford to get her hair shampooed, but she could have made her own shampoo from castile soap bars (example youtube video) or bought shampoo powders which were then dissolved in water.
She would only wash her hair every few weeks, most likely brushing her hair and keeping it up in styles in-between washes. (Link) Using a clean brush to brush ones hair helped remove and evenly distribute oils.
In 1933 shampoo cost about 25-50 cents. (Link) (Link) I haven't dug deep to know exactly what kind of things Steve and Sarah would be able to afford. But it wouldn't surprise me if there were times they could and couldn't afford hair care products.
As for if Steve would shampoo his hair, he probably just used soap. Shampoo had soap in it until 1933 (which was why it was so drying) (Link). But men could afford to use soap on their hair since they usually had shorter hair and their natural head oils could help mitigate the damage.
I can find less information about men's hair routines if they couldn't afford to go to barbershops, so I'm less certain of what Steve would do. But 20s, 30s, and 40s men's hair styles had a lot of oil or greasy styling products. While these would need to be washed out for re-styling (probably weekly like women) the oil products would help against drying out the hair.
Men also always wore hats. Having stiff or slick-down hair was important so that hair styles wouldn't be ruined by putting on and removing hats. Hair oils would stain hats, chairs and other things heads came in contact with.
Tumblr media
Circa 1920 Glostora hair oil and brush ad and Hair Slik ad
Don't be fooled by the ad. This vintage bottle of Glostora is 5 inches or 12.5 cm tall. It would be put on after shampooing, like conditioner.
In the Captain America: The First Avenger movie we can see that Steve's hair isn't slicked back. This could just be a modern day styling choice, but it could also show that Steve did not care about styling his hair.
Cleanliness was was important so he probably washed his hair every few weeks with soap and bathed regularly. But it doesn't look like he put heavy product in his hair. (Unlike Bucky, who probably had more reason to shampoo his hair. It wouldn't surprise me if Bucky went to the barbershop when he could afford it.)
Steve probably couldn't afford to do more to his hair than wash it with soap every few weeks. He likely made his own shampoo with castile or tar soap. This method makes more shampoo than the bottles of liquid shampoo being sold.
Conditioner: Conditioners originated from a product called brilliantine (developed in 1900) which was used to soften beards and moustaches. This product would be put on after styling in barbershops to make the hair shine and soften it. (Glostora and Hair Slik are similar products.) (Link)
"It was oil based, giving off a slimy residue to anything it touched. Homemakers knit lace doilies to cover the backs of high back chairs and couches to protect the furniture from men’s greasy heads" (Link)
Other items used similar to conditioners were hair tonics, or Wildwood Cream.
Conditioner became a necessity because of shampoo, as it is drying to the hair. So it wasn't used much until shampooing became more common (oil has a long history of being used to tame hair, but commercial conditioner products became more common along with shampoo use.) (Link)
Women caught on to these types of commercial products. I've had a hard time finding specific conditioner products from the 30s. Here is a hair care routine for women circa 1930 that mentions brillientine, so it looks like women began using brillientine as well before more specific conditioning products were developed.
There seemed to be more conditioner products developed by the 40s. Here's a conditioning cream from around the 40s, and a different one with a price (about 39¢).
Tumblr media
1942 Drene Shampoo Hair Conditioner Vintage Print Ad
(Drene was the first modern synthetic (no soap) shampoo and you can see in the side panel of this ad they say "Don't rob your hair of its glamour by using soap or liquid soap shampoo—which always leave behind a dulling film that dims the natural lustre and color brilliance!")
Wrap up
Modern day hair routines would be recognisable but still somewhat unfamiliar to Steve. This is partially because men's hairstyles have changed drastically from the slick-back styles he is used to. Hats have also gone out of style.
Also, it is common now in America to wash one's hair around three times a week. This shift came about with the change in hair styles. Woman leaving hair down and covering it less necessitates the need to shampoo and condition it more. (Women shampooed their hair once a week in salons up to the 60s).
The products are also slightly different. Liquid shampoo is the dominate form now (I doubt Steve ever bought liquid shampoo) and they come in plastic bottles. The liquid shampoo is likely a much different formula than he's used to. Additionally, conditioning is a very specific step in the process and hair product ingredients have evolved.
There are also combination products like 2-1 shampoo and conditioner which came about in the late 1980s.
Along with the cultural changes, Steve's socioeconomic status would effect his perception of hair-care routines and buying hair products.
With modern (no soap) products, Steve's hair is probably softer and shinier. Steve would have been aware of no soap products, but I don't think he would have bought them. However, he could have had these products used on him during his USO tour. Interacting with the women there probably introduced him to many products he was less familiar with.
Men's hairstyling in the 1920s.
This post kind of got away from me! But I hope you enjoyed my deep dive into 20th century hair care.

If we want to promote the boycott of is-not-reali products, we need to give substitutes and options for it.
Now, I also remember sisters asking me for my skincare/haircare routines, and I wanted to give a detailed article on that, but now it ain't about the time.
So, here, I'll try to compile these two topics.
Skincare that's effective without using any israeli/american product.
First of all, I don't have a skincare routine. I don't follow any step by step process. But, I do use products that help me keep my skin clean and hydrated.
And the most important advice I'll give to sisters is not to go for "skincare brands" that give pea sized products in bag size money. These industries are mostly scam. Always go for drugstore products. Those that are created for medicinal purposes oriented towards genuinely healing the skin problems. And if you don't have any active skin problems, don't expose your face to various products for achieving "perfect skin". There's nothing like that. Normal skins have occasional pimples, pigmentations, dark spots and uneven texture.
Anyway.
If you're going for drugstore products...
Go for phrama companies like Cipla and Reddy's Laboratories.
I personally use Reddy's Venusia Max moisturizer as my skin gets extremely dry often. If you have dry n normal (combination) skin you can use it. And if you have oily skin, go for squalane based moisturizers from Derma Co.
Next in line, if you want to use any serums, vit C is best for skins and there's a product by Cipla "Rivella Vit C and HA Serum" it's soothing, and effective. Alhamdulillah.
As a face cleanser or what you call as face wash, there are very brilliant new company products from DeConstruct that I love love love because they are so gentle on face and keep your pH balance and moisture intact (great substitute for Dove soap)
Then there's one more important aspect on skincare that's protection from UV...so you'll need a sunscreen. Go for Regaliz Truederma SPF 50. It's efficient. Alhamdulillah. Or Minimalist Suncreen spf 60 + Niacinamide incase you wanna go economically minimalistic. Derma Co Zinc Sunscreen is good too (one that comes in orange coloured pack)
Now, these four things are more than enough to keep your skin good.
Cleanser, Serum, Moisturizer, Sunblock.
Apart from that if you still wanna have some extra products...not from drugstore but excellent Indian brands...then Go for Pilgrim or Minimalist. They have best the ranges in every product.
And then comes Haircare...
Boycott Garnier. Boycott Loreal Paris. Boycott Head n Shoulders.
Go for St. Botanica. The Shampoos are sooooo great. Allahummaabaarik. SLS, Paraben Free, Actually formulated for cleaning dirt from hairs and reduce hair problems. Conditioners too are effective and they actually work as they advertise. If not St. Botanica, mamaearth would be good...but I didn't see it's results as best as St. Botanica.
For lipbalms though, you can go for Mamaearth. The shades are subtle and help keep your lips hydrated and avoid pigmentations. Stop using Ponds, Vaseline, Nivea. .PLEASE!!!! Their lipbalms do nothing but make your lips darker and greasy.
Makeup, I don't use tbh. But few years back, I had gotten a lipstick from MyGlamm and a Foundation of Biotique. They were good. You can go for it.
Bodywashes, Feet scrubs - Bodywise
Hair removal gels/creams - Sirona
Perfumes - Ajmal / Maison De Fouzdar are best. No doubt.
I'm sharing this post not to promote any sort of "self care" in this situation....but as an essential need of substitutes. Infact these substitutes are way better and effective than the Israeli American products we've been wasting our money on.
I have tried to mention most of the things used by women because that's the biggest market for Israeli products.
If you are an Indian, promote Indian brands 'cause we gotta "make in India" ;)
For that we need to use only that which is "made in India"
Go ahead...you can add anything else I might've missed. And yes...If any Mother's seeing this, let us know baby products that are made in India.

4, 12, 18, and 43 for the ask game :)
4. which cryptid being do you believe in?
Hmm. I wouldn't say there are any I full-heartedly believe in, but I believe that there are definitely animals out there that we don't understand yet. I think cryptozoology is kind of delightful because most conspiracy theories are just bigotry wearing a funny hat, but the heart of cryptozoology is usually that we are just overwhelmed by the sheer breadth and beauty of life in this world. We're always discovering new species, and there's so much hope in cryptozoology. Like the next one we find is going to be really, really cool. I hope one or two of them do turn out to be real, even if most of them are probably just fake stories or a real animal that looked weird for a minute.
I think, while I don't believe in Nessie specifically, I can buy that there's undersea life that is gonna rock our fucking worlds when we find it.
12. what kind of day is it?
It's... a healing day, maybe. I've had a pretty shitty month, if I'm being honest with you, but I feel like today I'm doing my best to forgive myself for not fulfilling the potential of what it could have been. I've been in pain and I've been sick and it's okay to miss things because of that. I can try again tomorrow. I'll be okay. And in the meantime, my friends are very nice to me.
18. what hair products do you use?
mmmm okay look my one vanity is going to get my hair done every couple months. I do not know what Brent puts in my hair, but I always come out looking fresh to fucking death. I don't even tell him what color to make it anymore. I just wander in and start talking about greek mythology and three hours later I'm blue again. he usually makes it more teal in the summer and more purple in the winter, but I just leave that shit up to him these days.
and the nicest thing about having bright blue hair, bar none, is the fact that I can get away with doing absolutely nothing to it. I wash it with drugstore shampoo (usually herbal essences color me happy) and use the matching conditioner to get the knots out and that's. it.
sometimes I brush it. sometimes I don't even brush it. sometimes I just put it back in a bun or a ponytail and people still tell me how much they love my hair.
it is the perfect solution for a lazy/disabled person.
43. what's your take on spicy foods?
I gave spicy foods a bad rap for many years, tbh. I realized about a decade ago, though, that it isn't that I don't like spicy foods; I just don't like vinegar. so I never enjoyed a lot of the vinegar-based hot sauces, but I'll enjoy like. thai curry or hatch chile burgers or whatever.
I don't have the best spice tolerance, but I like some. for a long time, I always thought I was a stereotypically weak-stomached white person with indian food because I always got sick even when I ate mild stuff like samosas. (which are my favorite.)
the actual truth is that I'm fucking allergic to mangoes, and amchur (dried green mango powder) is in a lot of indian spice mixes. so I wasn't having stomach problems because of the spice levels, I was having stomach problems because I was microdosing an allergen.
samosas are actually one of the worst offenders. ;;
so anyway, I guess spicy foods are fine. but vinegar and mangoes can get fucked.

4, 12, 26 :)
(weirdly specific and unrelated asks to know someone well)
4. mythical creature you think/believe is real?
I don't know that I have a specific answer to this but I can definitely say that weird deep-sea here-there-be-dragons leviathan-type stuff would absolutely not surprise me if they turned out to be real. The deep ocean is so fucking alien, honestly, and there could be anything down there and I would believe it.
12. brand of haircare/bodycare/skincare that you trust 100%?
LOL my answer here is so boring but I have zero brand loyalty to bath products. These days I've been using Loreal color-protecting shampoo, I think? Keeps the purp in my hair.
26. how’s your spice tolerance?
Terrible! I really wish I tolerated spicy stuff better tbh because I really like Indian food except that it makes me feel like I'm on fire. I'm a pretty non-picky eater in other regards (I often joke that I'll eat anything not nailed down) but the spicy is not for me. :'(

if you're comfy sharing can i ask what your hair care routine is? yours is def curlier than mine but it always looks so good and i'm always looking for tips!!
i’ve never used products or masks (my indian mom has never let me lmao). i will usually oil my hair the night before (almond or coconut). and then shampoo and conditioner! for some time in between my hair was not in good shape so i used to spray my it with fenugreek seed water the night before.
also, this is just a general thing, but a lot of people actually don’t use shampoo and conditioner correctly. using them correctly makes a difference 100%

Connection Between Diabetes and Hair Loss
At first, I didn’t make the connection between my diabetes and my hair loss. I simply noticed that I was shedding more hair than usual, particularly when I brushed or washed it. Over time, however, I began to notice that my hair was noticeably thinner and that I was developing bald spots on my scalp. I was concerned about this, as I had always taken pride in my thick, healthy hair.
It was only when I spoke to my doctor about my hair fall that I learned about the connection between diabetes and hair loss.
My doctor explained that high blood sugar levels can damage blood vessels throughout the body, including those that supply nutrients to the hair follicles. This can lead to weakened hair roots, which can in turn cause hair to fall out more easily. In addition, diabetes can also affect the body’s hormone levels, which can contribute to hair loss. As a result, I am aware of the importance of diabetes management .
My experience with symptoms of diabetes-related hair loss
Increased hair shedding during brushing or washing
Thinning hair
Bald spots on the scalp
Managing Diabetes-Related Hair Loss
I have personally experienced the distressing effects of diabetes-related hair loss. It was a frustrating realization, as I had always taken pride in my thick, healthy hair, but it also gave me a sense of clarity and direction in terms of managing my health. By working closely with my healthcare provider, I was able to make adjustments to my medication and lifestyle habits, which have helped reduce the impact of hair loss. While it has been a challenging journey, understanding the causes of diabetes-related hair loss has empowered me to take a proactive approach to my health and to prioritize my overall well-being.
Here are some ways i used to control my Hair loss as a Diabetic
Speak to doctor about adjusting my diabetes medication to manage my blood sugar levels
Make lifestyle changes such as exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet
Use gentle shampoos and avoid tight hairstyles that can put stress on the hair
Consider using hair growth products or consulting with a dermatologist.
The herbs used in Ayurvedic medicine also helped me manage my diabetes. Amla or the Indian gooseberry, is ‌a potent Ayurvedic herb. It’s packed with vitamin C and antioxidants, so it’s perfect for controlling diabetes and hair loss.
Conclusion
Learning about the connection between diabetes and hair loss can be alarming, but it can also provide reassurance that you are not alone in experiencing this symptom. By staying alert and working closely with your healthcare providers, you can take steps to manage your diabetes and prevent further hair loss. Remember, taking a holistic approach to your health can help improve your overall well-being. Together, we can fight and prevent diabetes-related complications.

Does your curl feel itchy after a workout session? Or do they sometimes smell a little funky after a couple of days? Whatever the reason, if you feel your curls are feeling greasy, dirty, and smelly, you should go ahead and shampoo them.

I had created these moodboards long back. I was talking about them the other day, ppl will hate ‘em cuz they might find them childish idk but there’s a lot of significance attached to each one. I’m not in the state to elaborate further but you can read my article which is scheduled for 7th Mar it has all the details www.lilacnights.com/post/my-little-barista I have never felt so numb before my bp is too low and I’m feeling like this is my last day.
Speaking of the other bathroom moodboard, my parents had just given me a raw area even 10 yrs ago when I was in my teens my living conditions were very poor I was inexperienced and I had no help (even now I don’t) so I don’t want ppl to assume I’m very happy with all my stuff or I have my family’s support & that I’m just being “whiny” for no reason. They don’t care about me… they pretend in front of strangers. The bathroom was partially tiled (I’m not in the state to write my pressure is severely low so is my heartrate n I’m very numb) it was partially tiled it was embarrassing, one cud even see the raw grouted masoned wall there, the tub had no skirting it was again just a drop in tub which they’d dumped inside (haphazardly) there was fungus growing on my shampoo and other Bath stuff, I can barely breathe rn I am not obliged to give any explanations there was no towel ring or even a wash basin stand I wud wash my hands in the outside bathroom I wud go all the way there now I’m bed ridden (luckily I renovated everything) I was made to cry when I called someone from urban clap to fix a stand there and what’s worse is that he fixed it in a slant manner it was so tilted that my clothes would get wet the WC was leaking so were all the attachments in the shower area but my mother kept challenging me and fighting as to why I had to renovate it (I used it that way for TEN LONG YEARS an entire decade) I was made to cry LIKE HELL even in my horrible health condition and I was abused a lot…
I had somehow renovated it in 2021, unfortunately now I’ll have to do it again because of some major fault on the plumber’s part + other irrémédiable issues. I was also surprised to learn that our own Indian brand is keeping their classic range only for show here at the orientation centre and EXPORTING everything to UK & Dubai where they already have other alternatives such as Drummonds and Burlington, they have the entire set with the crutch and the hand shower THERE whereas in India everything has to be purchased separately and that too they have DISCONTINUED the crutch (HERE) without which its useless, our own crutch which is made in Rajasthan is exported there and they’ve kept this classic range only for show, everything is reserved for exports. Whatever looks ugly or has that local masculine design (every other local brand has the same products only the labels differ) is kept for Indians, we are beggars or what? All the classic, heritage stuff is sent there for what? To compete with other rival brands? They are so stingy and frugal when it comes to Indian customers that they kept only ONE piece/unit in the thermostatic model and divided that also into 2 halves, just like Greek God Zeus who had split soulmates out of intimidation, the top part is sent to Delhi and the back concealed component is kept for Mumbai! How stupid? It has been rendered useless for both the cities now. I somehow procured the crutch from an old stock (box packed) and I was continuously getting a rusted concealed back unit (thermostat which is super pricey) from everywhere cuz they were rotating the same damaged piece, I somehow got in touch with another dealer and ordered it from the main hub but it was the same one from that “pair” which had no front component cuz that was lying in Delhi. So I got the front also from an old stock it has scratches but at the back of the plate so they won’t be visible. It has those beveled edges typical hotelier style which I wanted since long but I can’t elaborate further like I said, I can explain everything detail probably in person… wish I had someone to talk to I’ve always been passionate about designing and interiors in fact everything, give me any topic. All I want to say is STOP smuggling what’s meant for us - Indians… all the way to UK & Dubai. You are an Indian brand, I love the quality and make I was so excited for this I’d planned it since Nov, I got it somewhere in the first week of Dec or so (last year) but we were still struggling for the top thermostat (front and back both) and hell no I’ll never put those ugly local designs in my bathroom. I have my soap jar and other apothecary stuff there I will never compromise. I’m a lot into designing… I was going to recommend everyone to pick both your brand as well as this particular range but then I realised people won’t be able to buy anything cuz you don’t keep all this stuff for Indians. We want the crutch which comes with the Victorian set, it’s an essential, and the entire range all the models (black and white both) I was so happy with the make and mechanism but I ended up being really disappointed.
I can’t write much, people even buy your freestanding bathtubs in India we have all started buying that I’ve seen the reviews, for such bathtubs we require bigger spouts too and this was much more ideal I even opened the autocad to check if the thermostatic one which I’d selected had a single outlet or not cuz I didn’t want anything with a diverter I have a bathtub I needed something right there for my hand to reach while sitting inside the tub hence we had to spend more and I didn’t want the 3 way one, this set has a different spout which is better than the ones we are commonly getting in abroad they all have a flat nose, whereas this has a round ribbed border which looks more expensive and a mesh filter plate inside, I needed one with a crutch cuz I don’t have more room there to fit both my soap tray as well as the shower bracket and I’ve optimised whatever space I had skilfully to keep all my apothecary jars and everything to have a full sized vanity, a free standing almost 1700 mm bathtub… (cuz again you don’t get smaller ones in India where bathrooms are matchbox sized) and all kinds of other things even wall art and frames.
So I needed one with a crutch provision not a bracket, secondly the long bend exposed pipe would’ve been difficult to put there as I have a highlighter tile which is running throughout the bathroom lastly it had a tap not a spout which is a bit unappealing moreover its not long enough to enter my tub completely so all the bubble bath solution would’ve ended up at the edges (cuz it has to be poured right under the faucet in running water) and last but not the least this was my main reason - we could’ve spent half the amount but we opted for the thermostat mainly because the 3 way one had a pull and twist knob on the tap to switch between Bath spout and hand shower and I wanted the one with a lever/dongle cuz of my previous experience (which was horrible) with Kohler no offence and with wet hands it’s anyway difficult but yeah Kohler’s spout was faulty. I wanted to make a budget bathroom so I got from there but I went wrong because I also realised that all my stuff is very common Kohler has only one design or product in each category and they are promoting the same 1-2 things everywhere which means I ended up with something really common, faulty and boring. Nothing vintage or whatever we want, just the typical semi modern 2003 stuff. I’m very happy with this one (I haven’t used it yet but I saw all the functioning with the lever and knobs) and this is exactly why I wanted it, I have put the entire thing together as a set & I matched the the bottom mixer with the thermostatic one on top for my overhead shower to have 2 separate modes, I’ll be able to use the overhead along with the hand shower BOTH AT THE SAME TIME secondly I was looking for a budget mixer again but that too was discontinued and we anyway would’ve had to upturn the outlet flang or whatever from behind cuz it was meant for filling pails and buckets, now after the thermostat my shower portion is gonna have a modern touch because of how they’ve designed it, when you are paying so much you are getting that typical shower console look with black insets, they aren’t illuminated because they are not digital (that is usually there in a 50k to 1 lakh unit) however you do get the console with that typical look and everything since its an automatic model and I even edited all my stuff including the renders to make them more realistic for my moodboard cuz I was not able to find real life images. Ab naak mat kataiyen cuz ppl might show interest and none of this is easily available for Indians… it’s the classic range which should be manufactured and supplied in full swing/bulk please do that why is India always lagging behind? There’s an entire cult following including me for this Victorian style everywhere in abroad but in India we are not getting it easily especially in Mumbai.

oh i know, i know its the system and the capitalism and all the other things that tell me im caught here, but i can feel everything around me being made of blood. every made in china sticker, every factory made garment from bangladesh, all of it is just a global network of misery. and then if you're in india, all the land you live on is the product of caste exploitation. i sit on a highway that used to be farmland, my apartment was made by workers brought from Bihar. people hire domestic workers and pay them not enough to cook and then say shit like "you have to supervise them so it's better they come during holidays." the apartment is made with thin walls and no concept of having architectural solutions for the Indian summer heat, and that means i use the AC for two hours and feel guilty.
oh i know. i know the market hates me more than i hate myself. but sometimes i can really fucking give it competition because i AM the market. i can feel the loss of nights and years and time and labour for me to live a bare minimum of a decent life with zero stability because there are no non contractual jobs in my field and i hate that too because even that is eeked out by the misery of others. how much do those who have more live on top of bones? how much blood are we living on? every shampoo bottle reminds me only of the cost, the cost and more of the cost. when are we ever going to manage to balance the ledgers?
