Nepali Jewellers in Brisbane: A Hub of Tradition and Craftsmanship
Brisbane, known for its vibrant multicultural community, is home to a variety of unique businesses that showcase the diverse cultures of its residents. Among these businesses, Nepali Jewellers in Brisbane stand out for their exquisite craftsmanship, intricate designs, and the cultural heritage they bring to the city’s jewelry scene. Whether you're searching for a traditional piece or a modern interpretation of Nepali jewelry, these jewellers offer something for everyone, blending rich cultural significance with artistic expression.
Nepali Jewellers in Brisbane are known for their use of traditional designs that have been passed down through generations. Many of the pieces available reflect the unique styles of Nepalese artisans, with influences from Buddhist, Hindu, and Tibetan cultures. These designs often feature symbols such as the lotus flower, Buddha, or Om, each of which holds deep spiritual meaning in Nepali culture. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in these pieces reflect the skill and dedication of the artisans who create them, and they serve as a beautiful testament to Nepal’s rich artistic traditions.
For those in Brisbane looking to connect with their roots or simply explore new styles, Nepali Jewellers in Brisbane provide a rare opportunity to purchase authentic, handcrafted jewelry that tells a story. These pieces are often made using high-quality materials such as gold, silver, and precious stones, ensuring that customers receive jewelry that is not only beautiful but also durable and timeless. The appeal of Nepali jewelry lies in its ability to seamlessly blend tradition with contemporary trends, making it suitable for both everyday wear and special occasions.
In addition to the traditional designs, Nepali Jewellers in Brisbane also offer customized pieces for clients who wish to create something unique. Many of these jewellers will work closely with customers to design a piece that meets their specific needs, whether it's a wedding band, engagement ring, or a personalized necklace. Custom pieces often incorporate elements that hold personal significance, making them even more meaningful to the wearer.
One of the standout names in Brisbane’s Nepali jewelry scene is Jewels of Punjab in Australia. This jewelry store has earned a reputation for offering a wide range of beautifully crafted pieces that cater to a variety of tastes and budgets. While Jewels of Punjab in Australia is known for its focus on Punjabi and Indian jewelry styles, it also stocks a selection of Nepali-inspired pieces, making it a great destination for those seeking to add a touch of Nepalese culture to their collection.
The store’s dedication to quality is evident in every piece they sell. Whether you're looking for a delicate pair of earrings, a statement necklace, or a traditional bridal set, Jewels of Punjab in Australia ensures that each item is carefully selected to meet the highest standards of craftsmanship. Their Nepali jewelry collection is no exception, featuring stunning designs that highlight the artistry of Nepali artisans while maintaining the store’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
For those who are unfamiliar with Nepali jewelry, Jewels of Punjab in Australia offers a great introduction. The store provides detailed descriptions of each piece, explaining its cultural significance and the materials used. This makes it easier for customers to make informed decisions and connect with the rich history behind each design. Whether you're purchasing a piece for yourself or as a gift, you can rest assured that you’re investing in something truly special.
The popularity of Nepali Jewellers in Brisbane can also be attributed to the growing interest in sustainable and ethical fashion. Many Nepali jewellers prioritize using locally sourced materials, which not only supports the local economy but also reduces the environmental impact associated with mass production. In addition, these jewellers often work with fair trade practices, ensuring that artisans are compensated fairly for their work. This commitment to sustainability is an important factor for many customers who are seeking jewelry that aligns with their ethical values.
Beyond their aesthetic beauty, Nepali jewelry pieces also carry deep spiritual and cultural significance. Wearing a piece of Nepali jewelry can serve as a reminder of one’s heritage or beliefs, making it a meaningful addition to any jewelry collection. For example, a Nepali Jeweller in Brisbane might offer a pendant featuring a Buddha or a prayer wheel, symbols that are revered in Nepalese culture for their association with peace, wisdom, and spiritual growth.
For those in Brisbane who are looking to celebrate special occasions with a piece of Nepali jewelry, many Nepali Jewellers in Brisbane offer collections specifically designed for weddings, engagements, and other significant life events. These collections feature intricate designs that are meant to symbolize love, commitment, and the beginning of a new chapter in life. The attention to detail and the cultural significance of these pieces make them a cherished part of any celebration.
In conclusion, Nepali Jewellers in Brisbane are an invaluable part of the city’s diverse jewelry landscape. They offer a unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles, combining cultural heritage with modern aesthetics. Whether you’re searching for a meaningful piece of jewelry for yourself or a gift for someone special, you can find something truly extraordinary at a Nepali Jeweller in Brisbane. Additionally, Jewels of Punjab in Australia provides a wonderful selection of Nepali-inspired jewelry, making it a go-to destination for those looking to explore the beauty and significance of Nepali craftsmanship in Brisbane.

All about Carnival Adventure & Carnival Encounter
youtube
Carnival Cruise Line is welcoming two additional ships to the fleet in 2025, but unlike nearly every new Carnival ship of recent times, the next two additions are older ships, dating back to the turn of the 21st century!
Both these ships have been sailing for P&O Cruises, a role they’ve had since the end of the COVID pandemic shutdown in 2022.
With P&O Cruises in Australia shutting down in March 2025, these two 109,000 gross ton cruise ships will transfer across to the Carnival brand, where they will be among the oldest ships to wear the Carnival colours.
In fact, both ships were originally designed and built for Princess Cruises before Princess had even been absorbed into Carnival Corporation.
Tumblr media
Above: Golden Princess cabin.
Princess Cruises Origins:
Both members of the Grand class and built at Fincantieri, Carnival Adventure was the first to enter service. She was ordered in 1998 and entered service for Princess in 2001 where she sailed under the name Golden Princess.
Her sistership, Carnival Encounter, entered service in 2002, and was named Star Princess. The two ships were some of the biggest ships in the world at the time, and feature many design traits that made Princess famous.
This includes the large and spacious atrium, with nearby dining, entertainment venues and lounges, as well as multiple swimming pools, ample top-deck space and an elevated nightclub at the stern that gives them a very unusual appearance.
Tumblr media
Above: Golden Princess deck scene.
As Star Princess, Carnival Encounter was well known in the Californian market, as the ship pioneered big-ship cruising for Princess out of port of Los Angeles.
Too wide to fit through the original locks of the Panama Canal, the ship made the journey to America’s west coast by cruising east from Italy, taking in an Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean transit along the way.
As Golden Princess, Carnival Adventure undertook several long duration voyages, including a world cruise that included calls in Australia and throughout Asia.
P&O Australia:
Both ships were sailing with Princess in 2020, though by this stage had been flagged for transfer to P&O Cruises. Their large size meant they could replace the capacity of Pacific Dawn, Pacific Eden, Pacific Aria and Pacific Jewel.
The COVID pandemic interrupted these plans, with both Golden Princess and Star Princess laid up in 2020. During the global cruise shutdown, Golden Princess and Star Princess were removed from the Princess fleet and transferred to P&O Australia. They were Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter respectively.
Both ships were given refits before returning to service, to Australianise the interior and align the ships with the updated P&O Australia style introduced aboard the retiring Pacific Dawn and Pacific Aria as well as her sister ship Pacific Eden.
This included the addition of specialty restaurants Angelos (Italian), Dragon Lady (Asian Cuisine) and the Waterfront (P&O’s main dining room).
The P&O Edge adventure experience was also added, while Pacific Adventure had her funnel cut down, to allow her to pass under the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge – this is actually a handy way to tell the difference between the two ships!
Pacific Encounter entered Australian service in August 2022 after a triumphant arrival in Sydney. She was only the 2nd cruise ship after the smaller Pacific Explorer to return to Australia. Pacific Encounter later repositioned to Brisbane where she has homeported since.
Pacific Adventure arrived in the Sydney market in October 2022.
Tumblr media
Carnival Cruise Line:
In 2023, both ships hosted special celebrations, to commemorate P&O’s 90th anniversary of Australian cruising. Politicians, media and special guests were invited aboard Pacific Aventure in Brisbane and Pacific Encounter in Sydney.
Yet despite the celebratory year, things would change dramatically in 2024 when Carnival Corporation announced P&O Australia was closing in 2025.
Ultimately these two popular ships will remain in the Australian market, transferring ton Carnival Cruise Line in March 2025 as Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter.
This will make them among the oldest ships to cruise for Carnival, though they are still several years younger than Carnival’s Sunshine, Elation, Paradise and Sunrise.
They will be unique among the Carnival fleet, as the Grand class was designed by Princess Cruises well before Carnival merged with P&O-Princess, which owned Princess Cruises at the time of the merger in 2003.
As such, there is little similarity in the internal design, layout or décor of these ships when compared to the rest of the Carnival fleet.
But their Australianising for P&O Cruises was highly successful, and I’d argue that both ships present better in their current internal décor than they did as Princess ships.
Tumblr media
P&O’s addition of vibrant carpeting, blue tones to the accommodation and corridors have really helped break up the beige interior Princess is often associated with.
In addition, the P&O specialty restaurants are fantastic, with Dragon Lady especially among the best cruise ship restaurants I’ve ever tried – though whether these dining venues will be retained under the Carnival brand is yet to be seen.
While maintaining a unique Australian feel, in their new role, both ships are expected to receive Carnival branding… though I highly doubt they will receive a whale tail funnel. Rather expect to see Carnival colours painted on the existing funnel structure similar to the Carnival Luminosa.

10 Queensland Experiences to Try At Least Once in Your Lifetime!
Queensland, Australia is no short of wonders! Dive into the world’s largest coral reef or drive past the heritage-listed rainforests and no matter what you do, Queensland will leave you speechless in no time!
Tumblr media
As it’s easy to get lost in all the incredible experiences Queensland offers, we’ve made it easy for you by choosing the top 10 experiences to try there.
1. Snorkel with the locals in the Great Barrier Reef
Tumblr media
It’s a no brainer that this 2300 km stretch of coral paradise is one of the places you should definitely visit in your lifetime. There are tonnes of ways to take in the beauty of the place—from snorkelling and scuba diving to 360-degree aerial touring in a helicopter. Learn about its significant role in Australia’s rich ecosystem only to come back respecting this place more. Most popular areas for Indian travelers to access the Great Barrier Reef are Cairns, the Whitsundays, and the Bundaberg region in Queensland.
2. Explore the Daintree, the oldest tropical rainforest in the world
Tumblr media
An easy 2-hour drive from Cairns is all it takes to visit this world heritage-listed tropical rainforest that’s nestled between Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef. Cruise through the Daintree river photographing saltwater crocodiles, do the Mossman Gorge dreamtime walk and learn about the Kuku Yalanji tribe, and  you’ll never want to leave this place so intertwined with nature!
3. Visit a heritage-listed waterfall such as the Wallaman Falls
Tumblr media
Nothing rewarding like a beautiful waterfall at the end of a trek and Queensland has got plenty of it! Trek through the mesmerizing petrichor-infused Girringun rainforest and wait for it, the Wallaman waterfalls is nothing like you have ever seen! The spine-chilling view from the top, in particular, is no less than an awe-inspiring adventure you’ll keep telling stories about. And off the record, have you tried crafting your adventure vacations with Pickyourtrail? It’s our proud niche we don’t always call out, but specialise in.
4. Spend time island hopping in the Whitsunday region
Tumblr media
One of Australia’s most iconic destinations, the Whitsundays are a group of 74 jewel-like islands that sit right in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Hop from Hamilton to Whitsunday or Long island, relax on Whitehaven Beach – one of the world’s best beaches, or get out on the water in the sailing capital of the country.
Don’t forget about the mainland, though. The Whitsunday Coast has charms of its own, with great beaches, national parks and the buzzing town of Airlie Beach.
Also fly over the iconic Heart Reef, one of its kind in the world!
5. Cuddle a Koala in one of many wildlife sanctuaries
Tumblr media
Australia has amazing wildlife—if it’s not called out enough already! It crept into people’s bucket list when celebrities like Chris Hemsworth and our homegrown Bollywood Star Parineeti Chopra started posting pictures of them cuddling with the cute animals. Get up close to these amazing marsupials in Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary - Brisbane, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - Gold Coast, Cairns Wildlife Dome - Cairns, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures - Port Douglas and of course Australia’s largest zoo – Australia Zoo!
6. Skypoint Adventure Climb - Witness the gorgeous skylines of the Gold Coast
Tumblr media
Why go under the radar when you can go over the top? Climb straight atop the Q1 tower observation deck, 270 meters in a 90 minute-adventure, to put the incredible beauty of the Gold Coast region in perspective. All the better if you choose to climb during the sunset - take in the panoramic views of the sprawling metropolis complemented by a golden-hued skyline.
7. Revel in the buzzing nightlife and dining scenes of Queensland
Tumblr media
Australia is not just wildlife and nature. There’s an unspoken nightlife scene in Queensland that’ll keep even the non-partygoers entertained. Eat your way around Queensland in Northshore Eat Street that’s lavishly dotted with streetside food stalls and fine-dining rooftop bars, or level up your gourmet game by visiting Miami Marketta, the buzzing night market. The list doesn’t end here — Howard Smith Wharves and the Collective Palm Beach, are also the must-visit places that light up Australia’s nightlife.
8. Head on a road trip from Cairns to Cape Tribulation via Port Douglas
Tumblr media
If a road trip in Australia is on your mind you have probably heard of the Great Barrier Reef drive which most gracefully straddles the Great Barrier Reef and Port Douglas and gives major road trip goals! The best itinerary through this route is the one which connects Cairns and Cape Tribulation via Port Douglas. Trust me, this 3-hour drive can never be done in 3 hours, with so many gems you can’t resist but to stop on the way. Hot tip: You can plan all the details of your perfect self-drive adventure holiday with Pickyourtrail, in a completely hassle-free way.

Tumblr media
With favourable winds and waves complementing each other, the Gold Coast is undeniably a surfer’s paradise. Don’t say no to the calling of the waves, enrol in a surfing course and cross one of the most quintessential experiences to try in Queensland.
10. Test your nerves by an adventurous skydive or bungee jump in Cairns or the Gold Coast
Tumblr media
How come you can visit the adventure capital of Australia and not try anything that doesn’t send chills down your spine? You may flap your hands, panic while trying to catch your breath but once you realize you’re not falling but flying, look around and take in the views underneath you. When the words ‘Perth’ and ‘hiking’ are uttered in the same sentence there are good odds the conversation is about the Perth Hills, where the flat Swan Coastal Plain ends and the Darling Scarp emerges.
The bushland and undulating hills make for some great bushwalking (there’s one track that’s 1000km long!) among wildflowers, waterfalls, and the odd abandoned quarry.
But it’s not all grass trees and red-tailed black cockatoo flocks, don’t forget Perth also has some great coastline walks along the Indian Ocean, and the mighty Swan River.
Don’t have a car? Neither do I. So the five areas listed below are all accessible by public transport. Okay, I might be pushing it with Ellis Brook Valley, but I have to include it anyway.
So, grab your SmartRider card and let’s get hiking!
1. Kalamunda National Park
Distance from Perth: 28km
Walking 1000km along the Bibbulmun Track from Kalamunda, in the Perth Hills, to Albany is not everyone’s cup of tea. But, with the Kalamunda bus station at the doorstep of the Bibbulmun Track’s northern terminus, almost anyone can experience at least a small section of this famous trail.
Rocky Pools in flow in Kalamunda National Park
Apart from adding a feather to your hiking cap, there is also plenty to see, especially wildflowers, bushland panoramas, and birdlife. A popular spot is the scenic Rocky Pools, which was a popular swimming hole pre-1930s. Not sure how the kids back then coped with the freezing water. I’ll just enjoy the sound of running water and hopping amongst the rocks, thanks.
The Kalamunda local government provides a number of marked trails which traverse the area and are well worth exploring. The best time to visit is in the cooler months, especially after winter rains have filled the streams, and in late winter and spring when the wildflowers are erupting.
2. Mundy Regional Park and Lesmurdie Falls National Park
Distance from Perth: 24km
Located to the west of Kalamunda and Lesmurdie, the parks are accessible from all sides via public transport. Once again the Kalamunda local government has provided some fantastic marked trails.
My favourite would have to be the Whistlepipe Gully Walk – a 3km trail which loops around the banks of a winding creek with numerous small waterfalls. When the vegetation is lush from winter rains you could swear you are traipsing through a tropical jungle.
Attempting to not get wet at the foot of Lesmurdie Falls
Whistlepipe Gully is a great one for the kids, but if you are looking for a hike a bit more strenuous try a couple of the longer walks which loop around the hillier sections of the park. The reward for your effort will be panoramic views across the Swan Coastal Plain and an abundance of wildflowers and birdlife.
The jewel in the crown, however, would have to be Lesmurdie Falls, probably the most spectacular waterfall in the Perth metropolitan area. For a close-up view, take the Foot of the Falls Trail along Lesmurdie Brook but be careful hopping along those slippery rocks.
For a more panoramic view, take the high road along the southern shoulder of the valley and enjoy aerial views from the observation platforms.
3. Ellis Brook Valley
Distance from Perth: 25km
Okay, so Ellis Brook Valley isn’t that easy to access via public transport (about a 40 min walk from the closest bus stop), but it is doable without a car. And the effort is worth it. The area has probably the best display of wildflowers I have ever seen in the Perth metropolitan area.
There are a number of different trails to explore for different fitness levels. For those that like to take an easier walk try the Echidna, Eagle View Trail, or the Blue Wren Ramble Trail. These three trails have mind-blowing amounts of wildflowers if you come at the right time of year.
If you are more adventurous try the Sixty Foot Falls Trail which climbs to the top of the waterfall, providing brilliant views over the valley and to the city beyond. The trail also passes by the well-known Old Barrington Quarry, which for a hole in the ground is very photogenic.
A walk amongst the wildflowers on the Eagle View Trail
Ellis Brook Valley is a personal favourite of mine. I felt like a kid walking around here for the first time. Not sure what it was about this place.
Wildflowers I have never seen before? Pushing my way through tunnels of chickweed to find a babbling brook surrounded by colour? Hunting down my first ever sighting of a splendid blue fairywren? Or crawling through a hole in a fence to tip-toe my way to the edge of an abandoned quarry? Whatever it was, I had a blast and will forever be memorable.
4. Perth’s Indian Ocean Coastal Walks
Distance from Perth: 49km
That’s enough of the Perth Hills, time to give hikes along Perth’s stunning coastline some credit. There are plenty of walks all the way from Burns Beach in the north, to Mandurah in the south, but my favourite would have to be what I term the Unofficial Rockingham Coastal Hike.
Atop a sand dune enjoying the calm blue waters of Warnbro Sound
Stretching from the Rockingham City foreshore on Cockburn Sound, around Point Peron, along with the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park coastline, and then finishing in Port Kennedy after enjoying the expansive ocean views of Warnbro Sound, the Rockingham Coastal Hike is a big task at 25km.
Luckily the majority of the trail is a flat concrete path but you do get some adventure along the rocky shores of Point Peron. As the majority of the trail is easily accessed by public transport the hike can be broken up into much smaller sections.
So what can you experience on the walk? Plenty. Indian Ocean views, long sandy beaches, jagged limestone cliffs and outcrops, dolphins, bird life, rolling sand dunes, flocks of colourful kiteboarders, exploring WWII bunkers and gun emplacements, nude beaches (if you are so inclined), maritime history, and best of all absolutely stunning sunsets. A great summertime hike, so bring your swimmers.
5. Walking the Banks of the Swan River
Distance from Perth: 2.5km (to Narrows Bridge)
I’m not sure the exact length of the Swan River’s perimeter, but whatever it is it’s huge. This means plenty of walking opportunities. But where to start? Why not the Three Bridges Loop which joins the Narrows Bridge, the Canning Bridge and the Queen Victoria Street Bridge.
At a touch over 40km, you may want to break the walk into sections and spread the joy. Along the way there are obviously three bridges but also dolphin sightings, spectacular river views, Point Walter Spit (a sandbar that extends over 1km into the river at low tide), parklands, cafes to sample, black swans, sunsets from Como jetty and a glimpse into the lives of Perth’s wealthy (including one of Australia’s most expensive houses at $57.9 million).
Perth city lights reflecting on the Swan River
Want something a little closer to the Perth CBD? Try the loop from the newly developed Elizabeth Quay, over the Narrows Bridge, along the South Perth Foreshore, across Heirisson Island (don’t forget to say hello to the urban mob of Western Grey kangaroos) and then back along Riverside Drive. A great walk to take on a warm summer night while watching the city lights sparkle.
Heading interstate or maybe you live further east? Here are the best hikes near Adelaide, Brisbane, and Melbourne.

20 Pics Of Blondes Having Fun On Motorcycles – TheThings
“Blondes have more fun!” is a stereotype that has its origins in a post-WWII Clairol advertising slogan:
Does she or doesn’t she?
Only her hairdresser knows for sure!
Do blondes have more fun?
If i’ve one life…let me live it as a blonde!
The perception of blondes having more fun has been exploited in culture and advertising for years. But studies indicate that women in general, blondes, brunettes, redheads and others are having more fun on motorcycles.
According to the Motorcycle Industry Council, the trend of more women buying motorcycles has experienced steady growth in recent years. A 2018 survey shows that women make up 19 percent of motorcycle owners. The demographic has almost doubled since 2009 when only 10 percent of bike riders were women.
While no research has been conducted to determine what percentage of women riding motorcycles are blondes, like the slogan says, they are probably having more fun.
Here are twenty photos of blondes on motorcycles.

A helmet is not necessary…it would ruin the effect of long blonde hair blowing in the wind.
