The Middle East teeters on the brink of a regional war, and Israel’s conflict with Hamas hit the one-year mark on Oct 7. The longer that such wars—particularly when they are centered around long-standing geopolitical hot spots—go on, the greater their potential to spread—not just militarily, but also into the tangled domains of hybrid warfare, where political, strategic, and economic demands meet. Russia’s war in Ukraine offers a telling set of examples of what might be to come in the Middle East.
While the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 brought global attention to the conflict, the war was already long underway. Its start came with the Euromaidan revolution in Kyiv in 2014 and Russia’s subsequent annexation of the Crimean Peninsula, which was followed by Russian support of pro-Moscow separatists in eastern Ukraine during the ensuing years. Attempts at international mediation and negotiations over a cease-fire ultimately proved unsuccessful, leading to a gradual escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine that exploded into full-scale war nearly a decade later.
The hybrid dimension of the conflict has emerged as a pivotal component of the war. This spans everything from sanctions to cyberattacks to proxy conflicts between Moscow and Kyiv that go far beyond the front lines in Eastern Europe. And it’s played nearly as critical a role as the battlefield in shaping the course of the war.
Sanctions and other forms of economic restrictions have been some of the most actively used tools by Western states to pressure and weaken Moscow without having to get militarily involved in the conflict directly. The United States and European Union have levied thousands of sanctions against Russia, including against individuals, companies, and entire sectors such as banking and energy. For Washington, this has also included the use of secondary sanctions, which are designed to punish or dissuade non-Russian countries or companies from engaging with those sanctioned entities.
These strategies have been applied to various countries—from China to India to the United Arab Emirates—and reshaped global trade and financial flows while also spurring such countries to seek out loopholes and workarounds in order to mitigate their economic impact.
One case in point is the Central Asian state of Kyrgyzstan. One of the country’s largest banks—MBank, owned by former Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov—is reported by the Kyiv Independent to be working with Russia’s Sberbank, which has been sanctioned by the EU and United States. One of the mechanisms allegedly used by MBank to bypass sanctions involves a partnership with Bank 131, a Sberbank subsidiary that facilitates international payments.
Through a Singapore-based financial technology company called Thunes, MBank has reportedly reestablished payment channels linked to Sberbank, allowing it to conduct transactions in clear violation of the sanctions. Babanov himself is reportedly facing potential sanctions due to allegations that his company, Asia Cement, is linked to Russia’s nuclear industry.
MBank is not alone in this scrutiny. Other major Kyrgyz banks, including RSK and Keremet, are also under the spotlight for potentially bypassing anti-Kremlin sanctions. Both institutions rely on services from the KartStandard processing center and a local affiliate, CSI, which are effectively subsidiaries of Russia’s CFT Group, a company sanctioned by the United States in August.
If MBank and other Kyrgyz businesses continue their apparent engagement with sanctioned Russian companies, they may face secondary sanctions from Washington and the EU, which could in turn lead to Kyrgyzstan’s financial isolation, loss of access to international markets, and diminished foreign investment. Sanctions have been a potent tool for the West—and one that can affect countries far beyond the front lines.
Another key area is the cybersphere. Cyberattacks are, of course, not a new phenomenon, but they have been increasingly used by Kyiv and Moscow against a growing list of targets, including military sites, government agencies, and critical infrastructure such as energy grids and power plants. Russia has also employed cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns against Ukraine’s Western backers, most notably during its efforts to interfere with U.S. elections in 2016, and has shown no signs of abating such practices in the current election cycle.
A third arena in the hybrid sphere of the Russia-Ukraine war has taken the form of proxy conflicts, with the Middle East and Africa serving as key theaters. In the case of the Middle East, Russia has ramped up its support for anti-Western regimes since 2014, from intervening in the Syrian civil war in support of Bashar al-Assad in 2015 to beefing up cooperation with Iran.
Escalating tensions in the Middle East more recently have not deterred Moscow from providing such support, with Russia increasing economic and security ties with Iran, while the two countries reportedly plan to sign a strategic partnership agreement at the upcoming summit of the BRICS bloc (comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and several recently added members) in late October.
In Africa, the Russia-Ukraine proxy war has taken on a more direct dimension, particularly in the Sahel region. Russia and Ukraine back rival sides of the Sudan conflict, with Russian Wagner Group mercenaries supporting the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces while Kyiv backs the Sudanese Armed Forces. Ukrainian special forces have reportedly participated in drone strikes against Wagner forces in Sudan, and Ukraine also was accused of providing intelligence to rebels in Mali for an attack on Wagner forces operating there. Such a move prompted Mali and Niger to cut diplomatic ties with Ukraine, while Moscow accused Kyiv of opening a “second front” in their war.
The multidimensional nature of the war has complicated efforts to resolve the it diplomatically, given the sheer number of players pulled into the conflict and their complicated web of competing interests.
The Middle East could see similar hybrid dynamics emerge or strengthen in parallel to the military component of the conflict. This could include everything from the economic spread of anti-Israel boycotts to the politicization of the conflict in countries throughout the Muslim world to the growing use of cyberwarfare both within the region and outside of it.
After all, the war in Ukraine has shown no bounds when it comes to hybrid implications, with various aspects of connectivity between those involved—from energy to grain to telecommunications—being weaponized in the conflict.
This should serve as a cautionary tale for the Middle East. The longer that conflict drags on, the more players that it is likely to pull in (whether directly or indirectly) and the greater the consequences will be. Without a concerted effort to resolve or at least mitigate the conflict diplomatically, the hybrid components of the Russia-Ukraine conflict could be a sign for what’s to come in the Middle East—and far beyond.

The BRICS Bombshell That Will Change Everything
You know, when we think about global alliances, we often picture the big players, right? The U.S., China, maybe even the EU. But there’s this rising coalition called BRICS—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—that’s shaking things up. And now, Turkey is eager to jump on that bandwagon. So, why is that? First off, let’s talk about economics. Turkey has been facing some serious economic challenges lately high inflation, currency devaluation, you name it. By joining BRICS, Turkey could tap into new markets and benefit from trade partnerships that might not be as accessible through traditional Western avenues. It’s like finding a new group of friends who actually get you, you know? Then there’s the geopolitical angle. Turkey has always been a bridge between East and West, and aligning with BRICS could solidify its role as a key player in a multipolar world. It’s not just about economics; it’s about influence. By joining forces with these emerging economies, Turkey can help shape global policies that reflect its interests rather than just following the West’s lead. And let’s not forget the energy factor. Turkey is strategically located, serving as a transit hub for oil and gas. Being part of BRICS could mean more energy deals and partnerships, which is crucial for Turkey’s energy security. Finally, there’s a sense of solidarity among these nations. They share a common goal of promoting a more balanced global order, one that challenges the dominance of the West. For Turkey, this is an opportunity to assert its independence and stand alongside countries that are also looking to redefine their place on the world stage. So, as Turkey eyes BRICS, it’s not just about joining a club; it’s about forging a new path in a rapidly changing world.

India’s Gains from China’s Property Market Slump
The global economy is being significantly impacted by a downturn in China’s property market. This decline is primarily due to a regulatory crackdown on excessive borrowing by property developers, resulting in a severe liquidity crisis. This situation affects China’s GDP and has ripple effects on the global economy. Amid this crisis, India’s gains from China’s property market slump are becoming increasingly evident, offering several positive outcomes for the Indian economy.
India’s Gains from China’s Property Market Slump
China's property market is facing a major downturn. The real estate sector’s struggles stem from strict regulations aimed at curbing excessive borrowing, leading to a liquidity crisis. This crisis is affecting China's economic growth and the global market, particularly as dependency on Chinese raw materials diminishes. As foreign investment in China declines, India is well-positioned to benefit, illustrating how India’s gains from China’s property market slump could reshape its economic landscape.
The long-term effects of China’s property market issues are expected to drive significant changes in India’s manufacturing sector, potentially enhancing India’s economic stability and growth.
China’s Property Market Decline
China, the world’s second-largest economy, is dealing with several severe challenges. The housing market crisis is particularly disruptive, as the property sector represents 20% of China’s GDP. Additionally, China is experiencing a youth unemployment crisis, with 21% of urban youth out of work.
China’s property market is marked by an alarming number of empty homes—7 million in total, or 7 billion square feet of unused space. This glut is a result of insufficient domestic demand, and over two dozen developers have already defaulted. To address this crisis, Beijing has introduced a rescue package, including reduced down payments and mortgage rate cuts. However, the effectiveness of these measures is uncertain, given the ongoing oversupply and sluggish sales.
Global Opportunities for India
Reconfiguring Global Supply Networks
The global shift away from reliance on Chinese sources for raw materials, intermediate goods, and finished products is creating opportunities for India. This change is particularly notable in industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and automotive. For instance, India’s electronics exports reached $20 billion in 2023, supported by major companies like Apple expanding their operations there. The pharmaceutical sector, known as the "pharmacy of the world," exported $25.39 billion in drugs in 2022. India’s textile industry, with a market capitalization of $223 billion, is also growing rapidly. Furthermore, India’s automotive sector, including electric vehicles, produced over 4.5 million vehicles in 2022, strengthening its position in global supply chains.
Leveraging Trade Agreements
India can enhance its global market access by leveraging existing trade agreements and strategic partnerships with countries such as the US, Japan, Australia, and the EU. These alliances offer opportunities to expand trade and investment.
Investment Destination
With China’s economic decline reducing its attractiveness as an investment destination, India can capitalize on this shift by offering a stable and attractive business environment. This includes easing regulatory hurdles, providing tax incentives, and facilitating reforms in land acquisition and labor practices.
Conclusion He Kang, a former deputy head of the National Bureau of Statistics, notes that China has enough empty homes to house three billion people—roughly ten times the population of the United States. This highlights the scale of the crisis and the challenges China faces. While it remains to be seen if China can effectively address the issue with government interventions, India is poised to gain significantly from this downturn. The benefits of India’s gains from China’s property market slump are already evident, setting the stage for enhanced economic growth and stability in India.

Vladimir Putin has signed a decree that revokes an earlier law he himself had signed in May 2012, during his third presidential term in Russia. What has just been revoked is a vision of Russia’s foreign policy that contained specific instructions to the government on cultivating cooperative relations with foreign countries, based on respect for the neighbors’ sovereignty and the promise of cooperation with various world regions. The new decree, effective February 21, 2023, disposes with that framework, appealing to Russia’s “national interests” in connection with “deep changes taking place in international relations.” Here are just some of the foreign policy provisions that Putin’s new decree overturns.
Vladimir Putin’s 2012 decree on foreign policy contained specific instructions to Russia’s Foreign Ministry, including “consistent implementation” of the New START nuclear arms reduction treaty signed in 2010 by Russia’s then-president Dmitry Medvedev and U.S. President Barack Obama. (In 2021, Russia and the U.S. extended the treaty to February 2026.) Putin signed the new decree on the same day he addressed Russia’s Federal Assembly, when he said that Russia was suspending its participation in New START.
But other foreign policy provisions are also being overturned in one fell swoop, as pointed out by Russian media. Policies that are no longer guaranteed by the Russian law include:
establishing external conditions that favor Russia’s long-term development;
affirming the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, which require cooperation between states, based on equality and respect for the member states’ sovereignty and territorial integrity;
active work on resolving the situation in Transnistria based on respect for Moldova’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and neutrality;
active cooperation with Belarus within the framework of the supranational Union State;
active assistance in the strengthening of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as modern democratic states;
promoting the creation of a single economic and civic space spanning from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast, including efforts to lift the EU short-term visa requirements for Russian nationals and collaboration in developing a unified European energy complex;
fostering a stable and predictable relationship with the U.S., based on the principles of equality, non-intervention, and respect for mutual state interests, along with further efforts to relax reciprocal visa requirements;
deepening trust and equal strategic partnership with China, as well as strategic partnerships with India and Vietnam and mutually profitable cooperation with Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand;
developing a relationship with NATO in proportion to the alliance’s willingness to consider Russia’s national interests.

Emerging Trends Among Anticancer Medicine Manufacturers, Dealers, Suppliers, and Exporters in India
Tumblr media
The global burden of cancer continues to rise, making it one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. In 2020 alone, there were an estimated 19.3 million new cancer cases and almost 10 million cancer deaths. As the incidence of cancer escalates, the demand for effective anticancer medicines has surged. In this scenario, the role of anticancer medicine manufacturers in India has become increasingly significant. Indian manufacturers are not only meeting domestic needs but also emerging as crucial players on the international stage.
Growth of Cancer Worldwide Cancer, characterized by the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells, presents a complex challenge due to its various forms and stages. Factors such as ageing populations, lifestyle changes, environmental exposures, and genetic predispositions contribute to its growing prevalence. Common cancers include breast, lung, colorectal, and prostate cancers. The surge in cases necessitates advancements in diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care.
Role of Anticancer Medicines Anticancer medicines, also known as antineoplastic drugs, are designed to target and destroy cancer cells, inhibit their growth, or relieve symptoms. These drugs play a pivotal role in various treatment protocols, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and hormone therapy. Each type of anticancer medicine works differently; for instance, chemotherapy uses cytotoxic agents to kill rapidly dividing cells, while targeted therapy blocks specific molecules involved in cancer cell growth.
Emerging Trends in the Anticancer Medicine Industry in India Innovation and Research India's pharmaceutical industry is renowned for its ability to produce high-quality, cost-effective medicines. Anticancer medicine manufacturers in India are increasingly focusing on innovation and research. Companies are investing in developing new formulations, drug delivery systems, and combination therapies to enhance efficacy and reduce side effects.
Adoption of Advanced Technologies With the advent of biotechnology and nanotechnology, manufacturers are exploring new avenues to improve anticancer treatments. Advanced technologies are being integrated into the production processes to develop personalized medicine tailored to individual genetic profiles, enhancing treatment outcomes.
Strategic Collaborations and Partnerships Collaborations between Indian companies and global pharmaceutical giants are becoming more common. These partnerships facilitate knowledge exchange, access to cutting-edge research, and expansion into new markets. By leveraging each other's strengths, these collaborations help accelerate the development and distribution of innovative anticancer medicines.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance Maintaining stringent regulatory compliance and quality assurance is paramount for anticancer medicine manufacturers in India. Companies are adhering to international standards such as WHO-GMP, USFDA, and EU-GMP to ensure the safety and efficacy of their products. This focus on quality has positioned India as a reliable source of anticancer medicines globally.
Export Growth Indian manufacturers are expanding their footprint in international markets. With competitive pricing, high-quality standards, and a robust supply chain, Indian anticancer medicines are gaining traction worldwide. Export growth is further fueled by the increasing global demand for affordable and effective cancer treatments.
Florencia Healthcare: A Leading Anticancer Manufacturer and Exporter in India One of the prominent names in this industry is Florencia Healthcare. As a leading oncology medicine manufacturer and exporter in India, Florencia Healthcare has established a strong reputation for producing high-quality anticancer medicines. The company is committed to innovation, quality, and patient-centric care, ensuring that their products meet global standards and effectively address the needs of cancer patients.
Florencia Healthcare's portfolio includes a wide range of anticancer drugs that cater to various types of cancer. By leveraging advanced technologies and maintaining rigorous quality control measures, the company ensures that its products are both safe and effective. Their dedication to excellence has made them a preferred partner for healthcare providers and patients around the world.

More action on India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, which is a subset of Europe’s ‘Global Gateway’ program
COGwriter
Here are reports related to the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor which is hoped by some promoters to counter some of the influence of China’s Belt & Road Initiative (also called the Silk Road Project):
14 February 2024
Prime Minister Narendra Modi struck an agreement with the United Arab Emirates to continue working on a major trade corridor linking India through the Middle East to Europe, despite the widening regional conflict stemming from the war between Israel and Hamas.
Modi met with UAE leader Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi at the start of a three-day trip to the region, where the war and conflict in the Red Sea featured heavily in discussions, according to India’s
India’s Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra. Both leaders agreed, though, to take the first step to operationalize part of the ambitious India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor, or IMEC, he said. https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/india/pm-modi-in-uae-pushes-ahead-with-india-mideast-europe-corridor-despite-israel-hamas-war/articleshow/107695116.cms?utm_source=contentofinterest&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=cppst
13 February 2024
India and the Untied Arab Emirates inked a trade deal on Tuesday to connect the subcontinent with Europe via ports in the Middle East.
The deal was announced during a visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Abu Dhabi, where he met Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
“This would build on previous understandings and cooperation on this matter and foster India and the UAE cooperation furthering regional connectivity,” India’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement. …
The India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor is a proposed ship-to-rail transit network that was first touted on the sidelines of last year’s G20 summit in New Delhi. https://www.dw.com/en/modi-signs-intercontinental-trade-pact-during-uae-visit/a-68247395
This plan basically helps better connect Europe to Asia and the Middle East in order to improve trade between THEM.
Europe already has its Global Gateway project, and this is basically another aspect of it. Here is some information on something else the Global Gateway project is doing:
2 February 2024
The 24th EU-ASEAN Ministerial Meeting follows up on the EU-ASEAN commemorative Summit of December 2022, during which the EU pledged to mobilise €10 billion for connectivity projects in ASEAN by 2027 under the Global Gateway investment strategy. Already €4.2 billion is being engaged.
To emphasise the centrality of ASEAN in the EU Indo-Pacific Strategy, ASEAN Foreign Ministers have also been invited to participate in the EU’s 3rd Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, to be held on the same day.
Global Gateway is the EU’s positive offer to reduce the worldwide investment disparity and boost smart, clean and secure connections in digital, energy and transport sectors, and to strengthen health, education and research systems.
The Global Gateway strategy embodies a Team Europe approach that brings together the European Union, EU Member States, and European development finance institutions. Together, we aim to mobilise up to €300 billion in public and private investments from 2021 to 2027, creating essential links rather than dependencies, and closing the global investment gap. https://international-partnerships.ec.europa.eu/news-and-events/news/global-gateway-eu-and-asean-strengthen-their-partnership-sustainable-connectivity-2024-02-02_en
The EU project is ambitious. It is intended to help ensure, that it, and not China or the USA will gain dominance. This is strategically interesting in that Europe is not intending to spend as much as China, but by being more selective about where to spend its funds, it will mainly fill in ‘gaps’ that it expects will benefit it the most. Notice that North America is NOT part of the connectivity plans.
Furthermore, unlike the Chinese plan, the European one involves infrastructure around data and communications technology.
The Bible shows that economically as the “daughter of Babylon,” Europe will rise up in this century–(cf. Revelation chapters 17 & 18)–and this Global Gateway project is another step in that direction.
Consider that while China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) itself will face various obstacles, it looks to be supportive of some biblical prophecies as roads normally work two ways. China is connecting to Asia, Africa, and Europe, hence this also connects Europe to Africa and Asia, including China.
Since the Bible teaches that it will be Europe that will dominate world trade, the BRI and Europe’s Global Gateway look to be ways that Europe will get access to markets in Asia and Africa. Roads work both ways. Furthermore, Europe has a long history of trading with Asia and Latin America and is biblically prophesied to continue to do so.
Consider that the Bible teaches the following about an end time European power:
2 … Babylon … 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury. (Revelation 18:2,3)
The above is referring to the fact that nations of the world are prophesied to get wealthy trading with end time Babylon, which will be a European entity.
Back in 1971, the old Worldwide Church of God (WCG) published the following:
Momentous, historic events are transforming Western Europe. But most Americans are “asleep at the switch” to what is happening. It’s time for a self-centered America to wake up – before her allies become her enemies. Envision the startling future of Western Europe. A … union of perhaps 250 million people, surpassing both the United States and the Soviet Union in economic strength, possessing for the first time worldwide political power and influence. One news source recently called it an “enormous, physically powerful beast.” A new Western Europe controlling perhaps half of all world trade, by exclusive arrangements with dozens of nations who produce raw materials. A “United States of Europe” possessing one single currency – a currency so strong that it will replace the U. S. dollar as the kingpin currency of world trade. (Hogberg G. EUROPE’S COMMON MARKET RISING WORLD COLOSSUS. Plain Truth, 1971)
Now we all know that Europe has its own currency–a currency that some see as the logical replacement for the US dollar for world trade. Now, let me add that less than a decade after the above was published, the WCG publicly announced that Eastern Europe would also be part of this European power. And within a decade of that, Eastern European nations began to officially join in with what has become the European Union (more in Eastern Europe have also applied to become members of the EU). And, in population, the European Union already is actually much larger than that of the USA. The Global Gateway project and the EU’s support of the G20 connectivity goals are steps intended to help Europe rise up. And, yes, most Americans are “asleep at the switch” to what is happening.
Related to the ‘Global Gateway,’ the Continuing Church of God (CCOG) put together the following video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel:
youtube
12:52
EU’s Global Gateway, Trade, and War?
The European Union announced that it planned to spend €300 billion ($340 billion) in a program called ‘Global Gateway.’ According to EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen it is a “true alternative” to China’s Belt and Road Initiative, also known as the Silk Road Project. Both the EU and Chinese projects will improve road, ports, and/or other infrastructure to connect with Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Will this result in increased trade for Europe and Asia during the time of the Gentiles? Will Babylonian Europe dominate trade for a time? Will devastating war hit Europe with Russian and Eurasian involvement? Would infrastructure these projects are involved in be used for war? What about preparation for Armageddon? Dr. Thiel address these issues and cites biblical prophecies related to these matters.
Here is a link to our video: EU’s Global Gateway, Trade, and War?
That said, while the USA supported and praised the new connectivity initiative from the G20, the connectivity does not really connect the USA.
The Chinese and Europeans are building infrastructure in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia, like roads and ports. India is also involved.
This will facilitate trade, help set up for the gathering at Armageddon (watch Is China paving roads to Armageddon?), but also help the coming Beast power rise up and prosper.
