RAHHH I’m a couple days late but !!! Happy Christmas @marmolao !!! I am your secret Santa for Secret Sakka this year!! Twas a little bit of a struggles doing furries for the fanart but I hope you enjoy some silly Hikaru and Kariya shenanigans </3 I had lots of fun drawing them even if furries aren’t my strongest suit and I hope you enjoy them too !! I’m not confident enough in my writing to do fanfics so I hope fanart is sufficient enough <3

I actually sketched a furry Kariya design a few days prior to drawing these because I wanted to try and get it down before diving in but that’s for another day :] I hope you enjoy your present !!

Merry Christmas to @monochrome-dreamer ! I was your secret santa for this year's Inazuma Eleven Secret Sakka @ina11secretsakka2022! This would have been done a few days ago if I hadn't read through my draft and decided to change ❤️Everything❤️ and start from scratch exactly on Christmas day (and then proceeded to get sick the day I thought I would be uploading it so it got delayed ANOTHER day.)

Fun fact: the plot for this story is based off an actual short story I was writing a looooong time ago but scrapped after a while because I felt like it wasn't interesting enough to publish. I'm glad I got to revive it through a fanfic, because the concept was really good and I was disappointed it didn't turn out how I hoped.

But anyway - when I saw the prompts I got really excited, because "royal" and "soulmates" sounded like they went together perfectly. Unfortunately the "soulmates" part ended up becoming more of a background detail once I decided to introduce ✨MAGIC✨ into the plot. It also became more of a general fantasy setting, and basically nothing I had planned from the start made it into the final product. This is what I mean when I said I had to change everything, because once that happened nothing else made sense anymore and I decided I had to go back and rewrite it.

(I'm also sorry if it ended up a little angsty - it is unfortunately just something that happens in all my works, because how can I build up the funny stuff if the characters don't suffer a little?)

BUT I finished it. And I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out, so I hope you are too.
