In:flux Podcasts #046 - Aztek (August '18) by In:flux Audio Aztek has been making big movements this past year and shows no signs of slowing down. With tracks getting releases on such labels as Chameleon Audio and Indigo Movement, he's also one of the masterminds behind up and comers Canopus Records. He's been getting a lot of love with DJs as well, regularly getting air play on Rinse, Subtle and Sub FM to name a few. His combination of Dubstep and Grime seems to be a big hit and this can be heard throughout his latest track 'Red Alert' that is part of our own Free Dubstep Volume 1. Needless to say, this mix is packed full of exclusives and bangers from start to finish. This is only the start for Aztek, and you can expect a lot more from him on In:flux! ZEMON: Top 10 Artists
Ahead of ZEMON's debut EP "Dark" with Ultra Bass Records, we talk about some of the amazing talent in the garage scene and gave us his top 10 favourite artists (listed shortest name to longest).  A man with great tastes, ZEMON provides us with a massively talented list of some of the biggest underground artists, as well as those who deserve a little bit more recognition.  If you're looking for new garage music, these are the people to look to:
El-B originally made his name as part of the legendary Groove Chronicles outfit, being the first artist to bring a dark edge to UK Garage with tracks like ‘Stone Cold’ and ‘1999’. Through his own Ghost Records imprint, El-B has sculpted and defined the modern dubstep sound and famously inspired the prodigious talent of Burial, Benga, Skream and countless others.
The mysterious Mindofadragon has been on a torrid pace, outputting an insane amount of quality productions including "Lemonade" and his album "Keep Cracking On," featuring his unique skippy garage sound, as always, accompanied by some rude boy bass lines that'll test the low end of even the best speaker system.  Definitely one of our favourites here at Ultra Bass, Mindofadragon continues his dominance of the genre with the announcement of his next release, "Believe" out next week on Slime Recordings.
Hailing from Melbourne, Tigs is a trailblazer of the garage scene down under, and dominates the circuits worldwide with a range of releases on Loophole Recordings, Highly Swung Records, and Raw Tactics Records with our man ZEMON.  A tastemaker on Juno Download, Tigs plays a major role in spreading the garage vibe outside of the UK.
DJ/producer from the south coast. He started mixing at 11, producing at 16 and by the age of 20 he was releasing tracks and Djing in clubs. Moony established his name within the Grime scene, but his roots in UK Garage and his taste for bass driven up beat House and Dub cannot go un-noticed both his production and DJ sets.
Present within Montreal’s music scene for 15 years already, Maxime Morin, better known as DJ Champion, has been making waves ever since the release of his first album, Chill 'Em All (Saboteur Musique), released in 2004, for which he won Electro-Techno Album of the Year at the 2005 ADISQ Gala and received a nomination at the 2006 Juno Awards for Best Dance Recording. Joined on stage by his flamboyant G-Strings, the musician and "conductor" took part in numerous festivals and events of international scale in the last few years, multiplying memorable performances all the while accumulating honours, such as a Félix award for Concert of the Year at the 2006 ADISQ.
A bassline producer and DJ from Wales, DJ 10sion produced a monster track for Kovert Music called "Switch Up The Ting," as well as a ton of great free downloads available on his Soundcloud.  With many tracks on the way, DJ 10sion is definitely a name to watch out for.
Head admiral of our friends over at Highly Swung Records, we admire DJ Impact's strong passion for the garage scene.  Flying under the radar, he is responsible for the cultivating much of the up-and-coming talent in the garage and underground house scene.  Winner of the Best DJ/Presenter at the Pirate Radio Awards 2015, DJ Impact continues his show full of the best selections in UK Garage every Tuesday.  Catch the replay of his show on his Mixcloud.
A bassline and 4x4 producer from Stroud in the southwest, Fiyahman has been producing, well...fiyah!  With releases on Second To None Music and In:Flux Audio, among many others, ZEMON has touted his skills and expertise in that heavy bassline sound, and one listen to his Soundcloud will show you why.
Sammy Virji does it all, house, grime, bassline and garage.  Well-rounded in multiple genres, it shows through his articulate productions, complex to show off his expertise, yet primal enough to drop some "bass face" and get you onto the dance floor.  Loving what I'm hearing so far from Sammy and expect that his productions will only grow in quality and quantity.  Hey Sammy...hit us up!
Last but certainly not least, Tuff Culture is a veteran in the garage scene and garnered support from some of the largest platforms such as BBC Radio, Kiss FM, and Rinse FM, and for good reason!  Producing a constant stream of some of the best garage and bass house Tuff Culture continues to make an impression among the UKG family both new and old.  Check out some more of his music here.

Budgie Smuggla was one of the finalists for our DJ competition back in December 2013 for playing alongside Kry Wolf in Leeds. He is now one half of the label management team at In:flux Audio, working on all things Garage and Bassline and also makes up one third of the radio team for our Nasty FM show on Sunday evenings alongside Modec and big boss Tik. Over the last year, he's also made his way into production territory working alongisde Tik on a regular basis. Tik & Smuggla have been putting out bangers since the inception of the record label - with their tune 'Asthma Riddim' being the first free release on the label last year, 'Scuffa Kid' dropping as part of the 'Dutty Up North EP' back in October and the forthcoming In:flux exclusive 'Sexy Trak' just about to be unleashed on the world. Even though Budgie Smuggla didn't win that competition back in December 2013 (coming a very close second), he did end up joining us during our brief stint at the Pro Audio Centre and closed at our event headlined by Dr. Cryptic back in February 2014. This mix is a celebration of a year of the Smuggla! Dunman - Give Me A Dub [FREE DOWNLOAD] Forthcoming 30/07 by In:flux Audio Dubstep has always been a favourite of ours at In:flux and this past year we have been extremely lucky to find some great artists that have not only influenced the direction of the brand, but has seen our founders Tik&Borrow put their twist on the genre. After a conversation between Tik and Dr. Oscillator one afternoon, an idea was born to get a blend of artists old and new to the label to piece together what is now 'In:flux Free Dubstep Volume 1'. Label regulars Pelikann, Dr. Oscillator, Hamdi and Tik&Borrow are in attendance plus welcome returns to fold for Ali McK & IYZ, Six Sunsets, Somah and Dystinkt. Then making debuts on the label are RUFUS!, Aztek, Dunman, Narks, Vibrant Audio & Beserkr, bringing some absolute fiyah to the table and showing that Dubstep is far from over - in fact this is the start of something special for us at In:flux! =========================================================================== Tracklisting: 01. In:flux Podcasts #044 - Dunman (June '18) by In:flux Audio Dunman is a man fast on the rise in the scene, with forays into different styles of Bass music that we like here at In:flux Audio. It's his Dubstep and Grime productions that caught our attention recently, and with our first Free Dubstep compilation on the horizon, Dunman was quickly snapped up to be a part of the new direction of In:flux. This mix is a full example of Dunman's love for his Dubstep and Grime, with plenty of his own productions scattered through out. Expect more to come from Dunman and In:flux, this is just the beginning!!! Check Out Dunman here --> @dunmanmusic
