I need to buy a new car soon, but I'm absolutely gonna have to finance which means I'm gonna have to change my insurance to full coverage and then my car tax is gonna go up, and I already have no money + good amount of debt so god only knows what I could even get approved for and idk how I could even fit in a car payment + higher insurance cuz I'm scraping by as is. I really don't want to buy another 20+yr old car that's gonna use up what little savings I have and then break down on me in a couple years cuz it's just not been sustainable since I'm already on my 3rd car in 5 years

The car chronicles | Leah Williamson
Tumblr media
Pairing: Leah Williamson x Reader
Request: Leah and rich reader where reader gift her a Rolls Royce because Leah just keeps grabbing hers and sometimes annoys reader so bad like reader need to go out urgently and her car is out of sight.
Woso masterlist | Words: 900
-----
Leah had left the house early this morning, she had a photoshoot to get to on the other side of London. You on the other hand had worked from home in the morning, needing to be at an out of office meeting later in the morning.
You were the CEO of your own finance company, a business that you had built from the ground up, and was now one of the biggest finance firms in the country. It was safe to say you were doing quite well for yourself. You owned a small manor in the outskirts of London, giving you and your girlfriend a home away from all of the busybess you faced with your jobs in the city.
When you were done preparing for your meeting, you packed everything you needed and headed to the garage. You open the garage door, only to find your Rolls Royce missing, “Fucking Leah.” You say under your breath as you make your way back into your home. Leah had taken a liking in taking your car whenever she pleased, while she had a car of her own in the garage she just seemed to like yours more.
Leah: 😘
You take her car keys from their spot in the hallway, and make your way back to the garage, taking a moment to send her a quick text.
Y/n: Enjoying my car?
Tumblr media
After rolling your eyes you pocket your phone, and drive off in Leah’s car. It had been happening more and more lately that your girlfriend would take your car without asking you, and it was getting kind of annoying by now. It wasn’t that you minded her taking it, just that her car definitely didn’t drive as nice as yours.
You loved cars, and often had a new car in your garage. Though you were a big believer in not needing more than one car per person, so you always donated the old car to a family in need of a car, taking care of the insurance and first year of gas.
This sparked an idea, so after your meeting you drove to one of your favourite car dealerships and made it happen. Leah would be home first, so you had some time to set your plan into motion. You knew you should probably not give in to her behaviour, but this would be a win-win situation, so would it really matter?
You drove home in Leah’s car, while one of the dealership employees followed you out with a new Rolls Royce on the back of a truck. After he unloaded the car in the driveway, you give him a generous tip for the help, before you head inside.
Leah was sitting on the couch with her headphones on, so she hadn’t even heard the car getting unloaded, you thanked Dyson for their noise cancelling headphones for that one. Once you make it into her peripheral vision, she takes her headphones off, “Hi baby, how was work?” She smiles innocently, like she doesn’t know damn well that you would ask her about the car again. “Work was fine, getting there was less comfortable. Care to explain?” You tried to look stern, but how could you not break when she was looking at you with pleading eyes. So, instead of making her answer, you hold out your hand for her to take. “Come on, I want to show you something.”
Leah was confused why you were leading her outside, but then she saw an all black version of your car in the driveway, “Wow, it's beautiful.” She walks towards it to admire it. “Why did you get a new one? I thought you liked the one you have.” You smile, realising she has no idea. “I do like it, but it seems like someone else likes it too, since it keeps not being in the garage when I need it. I thought I would get you your own, so you will stop stealing mine.” Leah’s head shoots up, “Come again.”
You hold up and dangle the car keys in the air, “It’s yours.” Leah walks up to you with confusion ridden all over her face. “You’re saying that after I’ve been stealing your car, you are now giving me my own?” You nod your head, “Do you want it or not? Cause I can just give it to someone else if you don’t want it.” You tease. “Yes, yes I want it.” She hugs you, “Thank you so much, but you know you didn’t have to do this right?” You hug her back. “I know.”
Before she takes the keys from your hands, you tell her. “One condition, we’re donating your old one.” She nods eagerly, wanting nothing more than to take the new car for a test drive. “Of course, we don’t need more cars than people, I listen.” You chuckle and hand her the keys.
Leah loved the way the car drove, after driving it around for half an hour. You were just happy that she was happy, and the smile on her face was enough for you to know that this had been a good move.
She was very grateful for your gift, and thanked you profusely over the next couple of days, in more ways than just with words. She was loving the car, and from that point on your car was in the garage every time you needed it.

The Body in the Fish Tank: the unsolved murder
In August 2018 a headless, hand-less torso was found hidden under a staircase inside a fish tank in the SoMa District home of 65-year-old Brian Egg. Two people were arrested, but then released for the murder of Egg.
“When he suddenly disappeared, I knew there had to be something amiss there,” a friend of Egg’s said. He remembers that when Egg disappeared, the message on his phone said he was away on vacation - Suspicious, considering Egg never used his voice mail and the voice was not his. Neighbors also saw strangers in his home. His friend asked police to do a welfare check on Egg. They did, but it was only cursory. “No response at the door. And saw nothing suspicious,” said police.
A few months later another frantic call to police, and this time, responding officers found someone in the house. A strange odour wafted through a locked room. Police found a body without a head or hands in a large fish tank. They arrested Lance Silva and another transient, Robert McCaffrey, living in the house. Both were charged with ID theft, financial crimes, and homicide. Through DNA, the mutilated body was identified as that of Brian Egg. An autopsy concluded he was murdered and died from blunt trauma. Lance Silva and his friend were later released.
The Brian Egg case began in late May 2018. That’s the last time that Egg was spotted in his South of Market neighborhood. A full timeline on the case is posted below:
Late May or early June 2018: Brian Egg last seen in his South of Market neighborhood, San Francisco police say.
June or July 2018: Egg’s brother, Devon Egg, says he phoned his brother and an answering machine picked up with a request to leave a message. He said his brother never used an answering machine and he didn’t recognize the voice on the machine. He called back and someone answered who gave his name as Nate. He said his brother would call him right back after he finished walking his dog. No one called back.
June 1, 2018: Court records show that a 2007 BMW was purchased for $5500 by someone who had identified themselves as Brian Egg from a dealership in Newark. A purchase document for the sale would later be found in possession of Lance Silva after he was arrested in connection with Egg’s disappearance.
June 15, 2018: The BMW purchased on June 1 was towed from 379 5th Street in San Francisco for parking in a no-stopping zone. It was retrieved later that day by two men, one of whom identified themselves as Paul Foran, the second was identified by police from surveillance video as Lance Silva.
Late July 2018: Police say they receive the first calls from neighbors reporting Egg’s disappearance. Officers respond to the home twice. They knocked on the door. Each time, there was no answer and the officers left.
August 2, 2018 Egg’s long-time neighbor and friend Scot Free makes a post on the social media site Nextdoor to alert neighbors. Neighbors expressed their concern and said they would also report the suspicious activity at the home to police. Strangers were seen coming and going from home.
August 4 or 5th, 2018: Neighbors say the third check by police apparently prompted the people living in the house to frantically clean. They observed soap suds coming out of the home and bleach was being used to clean the front of the home. Someone in the home had also painted part of the front of the home including a door.
August 7, 2018: Police say Egg’s sister filed a missing person’s report. They send officers out to the house for a third time. But again, after no one answers the door, they leave.
August 14, 2018: Neighbors call 911 after the private crime scene clean-up company Aftermath showed up to clean the home. Robert McCaffrey, 52, was arrested at the home. Neighbors say he had at least $1,000 cash in hand to pay the company for the job.
August 16, 2018: Police arrest Lance Silva, 39, in a nearby residential hotel. Both men are charged with homicide, ID theft, elder abuse and financial crimes. But the San Francisco District attorney’s Office eventually drops the charges pending further investigation. McCaffrey is freed. Silva is held in jail in Alameda County by authorities for a parole violation. Court records show he had a prior convictions for grand theft. The parole violation stemmed from identity theft and fraud charges. Police believe he was using Egg’s debit card.
August 17, 2018: After searching the home for four days, police find a human torso in a large fish tank that was hidden in the home. They seek DNA samples from family members in an effort to identify the remains.
August 23, 2018: Neighbors say that a round-the-clock surveillance of the home by police since August 14 ends.
August 28, 2018: San Francisco police hold press conference revealing details of the case for the first time. They defend not taking further action during those three checks on the home. They say there wasn’t sufficient suspicion break into the home but neighbors strongly dispute that.
August 29, 2018: Lance Silva appeared in court in Alameda County to face charges related to a parole violation.
April 24, 2019: Lance Silva released from jail after ‘sentence served’
May 2019: Egg’s death officially ruled a homicide by San Francisco Medical Examiner

New Fargo Season 5 character portraits, via the FX website. Official character descriptions under the cut.
Dorothy "Dot" Lyon: Depending on who you ask, "Dot," portrayed by Juno Temple, is a wife and mother, a member of the PTA, a fighter, survivor or a tiger. She’s tenacious to almost a delusional fault, never giving up no matter how impossible the circumstances. Ultimately, she’s a mama bear with a lion’s heart.
Roy Tillman: “Roy Tillman,” portrayed by Jon Hamm, is one of those constitutional sheriffs, a rancher preacher, defender of the American gospel. A man who works from sunup to sundown shepherding God’s land. In Roy’s own reality, he is the law and therefore is above the law; he’s the judge, jury and too often the executioner.
Lorraine Lyon: “Lorraine Lyon,” portrayed by Jennifer Jason Leigh, is CEO of the largest Debt Collection Agency in the country, with two billion dollars in annual revenue. Lorraine is poised, regal and opinionated. She’s also a huge donor to any candidate or cause that she believes in, regardless of political affiliation (read: anyone that can be helpful to her in the future).
Wayne Lyon: “Wayne Lyon,” portrayed by David Rysdahl, has the forced cheer of a man whose mother raised him with a thick brew of disappointment and guilt. Now he owns a car dealership and three quarters of a fishing boat. A sweet guy who doesn’t match up to society’s (or his mother’s) definition of masculinity, his ideal evening is playing sock hockey at home with his daughter, Scotty.
Gator Tillman: “Gator Tillman,” portrayed by Joe Keery, is a handsome charmer, the way the snake in the garden was a charmer. He’s a sapling struggling to grow in the shadow of an oak, desperate to prove himself to his larger-than-life father in the absence of a mother’s love. With daddy issues up there with Oedipus Rex’s, Gator wants to be a winner but unfortunately doesn’t know what the word means.
Witt Farr: “North Dakota Deputy Witt Farr,” portrayed by Lamorne Morris, is the guy when you look up the word “reliable” in the dictionary, you see his picture. He splits the check down to the cent, not because he’s cheap but because he’s fair. He’s dogged, earnest and Minnesota Nice.
Indira Olmstead: “Minnesota Police Deputy Indira Olmstead,” portrayed by Richa Moorjani, is a practical woman – socks before shoes – and good at puzzles, which may have led to her career in law enforcement. She struggles to manage her finances while supporting her husband Lars and his delusional dream of winning the Masters Golf Tournament.
Ole Munch: Age unknown, birthplace unknown. On any given day, “Ole Munch,” portrayed by Sam Spruell, looks as though he could be 30-60. Some say he has always been here, blowing through the American landscape – the dark shadow waiting for us at the end of the hall. He’s carved from stone, relentless as the sea, the forces of physics don’t apply to him.
Danish Graves: “Danish Graves,” portrayed by Dave Foley, is Lorraine Lyon’s in-house counsel and primary advisor. A country club type, who has never been in a real fight, but sees himself as a winner, when clearly Lorraine is the heavyweight champion and he just holds her spit bucket.

On Eureka Moments
There is one tiny, tiny plus-side to insomnia: the epiphanies you get when you finally manage to catch a few winks.
So, I finish my shift, clock out, term out of my Linux resources and crash into bed before supper gets going. Sarah's not tired enough to join in, but Walt is definitely leaning on his concern for me and joins in. We spoon in the way I like and soon enough, even though it takes me a while, I'm gone. Poof.
It's not long, mind you - an hour and some change before we have to cook dinner - but it's enough to strip me of that sense of distance I mentioned, earlier. Dots start to connect, and what's really fucking weird for me is that I don't so much start dreaming as I'd say I sandboxed while asleep.
It felt a little like waking up without actually waking up. I was in the same posture I'd fallen asleep in, locked in thanks to Walt's body weight and aware of the fact that I was actually in REM sleep, but the room had this hyper-vivid texture that it only gets when my brain goes hog-wild at the end of an insomnia episode. I couldn't make out anything out of the noises coming from the living room, as speech and sound were as distorted as they usually are in my dreams. What still made sense, however, were my own thoughts.
This is a longboi, folks. Clicky if you dare.
I started going over the root causes of my insomnia, starting with the fact that I had to play IT Goon for six small dealerships staffed with reticent, tech-adverse fuddy duddies and dudebros who really just wanted something to run their CRM resources and the occasional instance of Google Chrome. I have to field everything from keyboards no longer working to printers going on the fritz to login credentials with big dealerships' own Finance portals no longer being valid - all of it while keeping an eye on our Linux-using Call Centre employees, listening in on calls, taking briefs from our Marketing department (basically one gal plus Walt) and occasionally physically schlepping campaign material - albeit with some help - because most manufacturers are a bit averse to the idea of dealerships passing resources around externally.
Simplified, that gives me two large task groups:
Network Admin
The Nuclear Football, as I call my laptop that's intermittently crammed with marketing-level campaign plans that dealerships treat like they're handing us a hydrogen bomb. That mostly involves carrying it to the dealerships involved, giving it network access, transferring the relevant files and walking the staff through their resources.
I only really administer the Call Center stuff, and anything Network Admin might be involved, it doesn't drive me as stir-crazy as reassuring a bunch of Boomers and non-tech-savvy Millennials that we do, indeed, have their parent company's provided resources on-hand.
That part, and everything related to their fucking PC installs, I could do remotely - either with Microsoft Azure or Windows Server Edition 20XX.
I'm sleeping on three of my most important certifications because the people I work for are too risk-averse to realize we could just drop everything on a remote server and walk them through everything with a video call or two. Everything short of physical hardware failure, I can handle or control using a Windows Server hub and the most wonderful tool known to man, which is known as the Fucking Group Policy Editor. Pair that with a few hires we keep in-house at each dealership, and I could set things up so I never need to leave my home office ever again.
Ever. Again.
No scheduling conflicts, no waffling about because my Paratransport ride is late, no depending on Walt or Sarah when the short bus isn't convenient or fast enough.
There's just one hitch - money. I can set up a would-be master server and rope every single of our dealerships and every single of their PC installs under a single server's wing within a week or two, give or take a few days for unplanned events. Even simpler, I could do the same with Azure. Option 1 requires a wee bit more cash on the Infrastructure part but could mostly be one-and-done if we're willing to be smart about it, Option 2 requires tossing money at Microsoft on a monthly basis, at no extra power cost or space management worries for us.
Then, there's the unavoidable warts and blemishes. I'd need to image everyone's workstations across our dealerships, format their entire fleet and then rebuild everything using these images and WSE's Deployment Tools. I can't do this on weekdays, these guys have promos to run - and there's weekends where I can't do it either. Our Mercedes joint is expecting visitors by Canada Day, for instance. It's time-consuming, I'd need to plan it out with them and any time I spend setting up someone's server-based clone of their previous Windows install is time I can't spend doing anything else.
Ergo, that needs to happen during a massive holiday. The only one that fits the bill is Christmas.
Then, there's the fact that I need some leeway now. I need to go back to a decent sleep schedule starting yesterday. I can't just hold on, grit my teeth and expect to hold on for six months of this; I'll keel over before Halloween if nothing changes.
But, the fun thing with luxury dealerships is that they tend to give themselves off-weeks when sales ramp down seasonally. That includes mid-July.
I wake up with a start and, barely lucid, ring up our Mercedes and Audi clients. Confirmed: they're aiming for a ramp-down of their operations in mid-July. I briefly expose my plans, set up a Web meeting, and spend the last twenty minutes of what should've been my nap explaining to two befuddled Sales Directors that I'm about to propose gaining complete control over their infrastructure, with the included benefit of a drag-and-drop common directory where I'd simply organize promo materials as we obtain them. I could even use it to deliver patches that come to us in binaries, as a few do apply. Their on-site guys could handle printer clogs or dying USB ports, I'd take care of and automate most of everything that's software-based.
And, what I didn't tell them, is that I'd even be able to finally restrict Sales reps from unnecessary account privileges, which could make the occasional case of disciplinary action even more occasional. You can't loaf around at work watching PornHub on the job if there's a rule in place that specifically includes it in a list of banned addresses and IP ranges...
I know how it sounds - it's basic fucking barebones IT stuff, it's the fucking bedrock of Network Admin, maybe one or two rungs above CompTIA resources - but you'd be surprised at how many dealerships have exactly zero administration. They don't see the need; they're car guys with maybe one or two Web apps of choice, if any! As to why I didn't think of it earlier, it's mostly because it's not technically my job. Walt, Sarah and I distribute and manage promotional material and help dealerships to keep up with user retention and analytics. We do everything a Sales Director should do, except most Sales Directors are usually tied up with their local Karens complaining about the Service department's mechanics.
So what if we gave them an infrastructure? What if we air-gapped it, made it easily reproducible and deployable, and made it so working with us only means looking at a slightly different Windows login screen, before starting your workday?
If this works, we'll expand our services and solve most of my problems. Salesguy McGee's computer ain't worth shit? No prob, just clone his install, nuke the base, reinstall from the clone and spend a few minutes mothering it to make sure you haven't imported previously-observed bugs.
I mentioned Azure, but I know our guys won't want to contribute to a cloud budget. Again, they're tech-averse and think using the cloud means you're at the mercy of a Redmond or Seattle-based server outage. Psychologically, they'll want the comfort of their own spinning rust and SSDs. If I've got that WSE server I mentioned, it's no skin off my teeth.
So, while Walt was trying to follow along, I tried for my most diplomatic cough imaginable.
"I'd, uh, need another 20K for our IT budget. Six of 'em would go for a WSL license, the rest would go for maybe two extra 2U units over at the office."
I thought Walt would protest, but he just gave me a level look. "Will that help you sleep?"
I shrugged. "At the end of a somewhat lengthy process, sure. Relief's going to count for something, though, and I'm pretty much guaranteed to sleep like a baby tonight if you approve."
Boss Walt reacted first, by giving me a shoulder clasp. "Purchase approved. You've got our card, make it happen starting Monday."
Then followed Boyfriend Walt, who pulled me into a hug. "You're going to have to walk me through this, though - this is black magic to me."
Sarah, who'd caught wind of my WSE for Dummies talk, stopped by before heading into the kitchen. "He means he wants to be Emperor Palpatine, hon," she joked. "Ultimate power, Force lightning, no idiots being so much as able to install unsigned software on their machines, lockable USB ports - the works. You're the only one who'd need to keep visiting our guys in-person. The real challenge is going to involve letting a bunch of unaffiliated dealerships share the same basic server architecture, and even that's not too complicated."
I parted with a frayed, and possibly half-mad little laugh. "Holy shit, I'm gonna sleep tonight!"
Sometimes, one of the perks of insomnia is being able to take a few steps away from your professional bugbears and your clients' weirdo and inefficient methodology - and remembering the skillsets you actually paid for.

The 2022 Forester is a combination of Subaru's outdoorsy image with the practicality of a compact crossover. This combination has made the Forester SUV a success, but it's middling flat-four engine offers tepid acceleration that tempers its desirability. The 2022 Subaru Forester benefits from a styling makeover that provides it with a more trucklike look, but the cabin remains as practical and comfortable as ever, but it has an exceptional case in airy and rife with convenient storage cubbies. Like most other Subaru vehicles, the Forester comes with all-wheel drive as standard. Key competitors like the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V provide similar traits, but both are provided with more powerful hybrid and gasoline engines that leave the 2022 Forester feeling underpowered by comparison. You can easily find used cars by looking for in house financing cars near me and visiting them to know more about vehicles. Still, for drivers who are looking for the Subaru's adventurous aura appealing, the 2022 Forester will be a satisfactory choice.
What's New For The 2022 Subaru Forester?
Subaru has refreshed the Forester for 2022 with a reworked grille, blockier-looking front headlamps, and new wheel designs. A wilderness model joins the class and it comes with additional ground clearance and a rugged appearance package. When we talk about the inside, the 2022 Forester has a new optional gesture control for the panoramic sunroof and climate control system as standard equipment on all but the base trim. All models of the 2022 Forester now come with a torque vectoring system, Subaru's SI-Drive driving mode selector, an auto start-stop feature for the four-cylinder engine, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.
Pricing And Which Model To Purchase
The Forester has a base price of $25195 and this is a decent starting cost for the lineup. Moreover, you will get a Subaru car with an all-wheel drive system that costs extra in many competitors when you add this system. When we talk about a range-topping Forester Touring price then it is available in the market at $35295 and this price is a bit higher than many rival's top-trim costs. Every model of the 2022 Subaru Forester comes at a different price.
When it comes to which model you should purchase then it totally depends on your requirements and your budget as well. You can purchase or sell any model at an affordable price by looking for Buy Here Pay Here Auto Dealers Near Me. Forester Interior: Great Space For A Small SUV

Forester infotainment, navigation, and Bluetooth: it is very easy to use the Starlink infotainment system because of its intuitive interface that makes using and understanding menus simple. The touch screen responds well to input, though the graphics of the display could be sharper. The driver will find a secondary display at the top of the dashboard that displays different information than the touchscreen. This secondary display may confuse some drivers at first but when they use it a few times then they can easily understand it.
Available infotainment features: in this list, you will get a six-speaker stereo, more USB ports, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon stereo.

The base 2022 Forester offers 28.9 cubic feet of space behind the back seats and after folding down the rear seats, you will get 74.2 cubic feet of space. In all other trims, these numbers decrease to 26.9 cubic feet and 69.1 cubic feet, respectively.

In fact, taller passengers can sit in the rear seat comfortably. The doors open up wide which makes it easy to enter or exit the car in either row.
Forester Performance: More To Like Than Not
Forester engine: every Forester has the same engine- a 182-hp four-cylinder engine coupled with a continuously variable automatic transmission system. The Forester’s engine will get you from one destination to another one but it is not the most impressive powertrain. Its acceleration is only so-so, and this car can feel a touch underpowered on the road.
Forester ride and handling: this car is poised around turns and shows little body lean but it lacks the sporty nature of some competitors. If you type in house financing cars near me in the search bar you will get many options where you can visit and choose your dream car. It rides smoothly and offers sturdy brakes so it is a better off-road car than most class rivals. The 2022 Forester also has an all-wheel drive system that is a rarity in this class.
Forester off-road performance: the Forester is a well-known off-road vehicle that almost every class rivals. Most models come with 8.7 inches of ground clearance and are untroubled by snow, light trails, and mud. If you want to purchase this car then you have to look for auto lots near me. The Wilderness version also offers 9.2-inch ground clearance which makes it more capable. This vehicle also has an all-wheel drive system, making it a major outlier in this segment, as it is a pricey upgrade from many competitors. Every model of Forester except the base comes with hill descent control and X-mode, a system that increases grip on slippery paths. Wilderness models also come with all-terrain tires and a forward-facing off-road camera.
Towing capacity and warranty: many Forester models can tow up to 1500 pounds but when it comes to the Wilderness model doubles that capacity to 3000 pounds. When we talk about warranty then Subaru covers this car with a three-year or 36000-mile limited warranty and a five-year or 60000-mile powertrain warranty.
Forester gas mileage: when we talk about its gas mileage then it gets good mileage, earning 26 mpg around the town and 33 mpg on the road in many configurations. If you are searching car dealerships around me on the internet then there are many options you will find but you need to choose a dealer by checking their reviews, and ratings. Make sure you select trustworthy dealerships to get a better deal. When it comes to Wilderness trim then it is a bit less fuel-efficient than other Forester models, returning 25 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.
Conclusion-Here you have read everything about the 2022 Subaru Forester vehicle. If you want to purchase a vehicle but before that you have to sell your car then you should choose the best place to sell car so you will get a good deal on your purchase.
