The closer the gig gets, the more im realising im going to have to take my chair and sit in the wheelchair spot for the slipknot gig 😞 even if my back would let me stand and wait for the bands to start, stand through the support acts, stand through slipknot themselves (which it won't, i cant stand up for even five minutes), i just know that after the gig there's no way that after that i could walk from the front of the arena to the front door where wu would be waiting with my wheelchair. I dont know the exact distance but i can barely get from the car and up the garden path to the stairs before my back starts giving out, even with my stick

Im heartbroken but ultimately i have to do whats best for my health. I can still enjoy the gig without being down the front, its the being there that matters, right?

i feel like the state of gender discourse on tumblr currently is like, three separate arguments all conflated as one argument somehow.

Trans women and trans feminine people are trying to make sure transmisogyny is a recognized and understood phenomenon

Trans men and trans masculine people are trying to name their own experiences with transphobia and misogyny that come from being trans masculine specifically

And intersex people are trying to raise awareness that the line between 'systemically affected by transmisogyny' and 'situationally affected by transmisogyny' is, in fact, blurred, and that trans intersex people will always be left behind when perisex trans people reinvent a sex binary

And none of these things are wrong or mutually exclusive, yet people seem to think they are. like, transmisogyny is very real and can impact people regardless of their AGAB but is meant to target trans women specifically, and trans masculine people face their own intersections of transphobia and misogyny that come from being trans masculine, and we can actually have names for forms of oppression and violence without creating a false dichotomy that alienates parts of our community. All of these are true.
